The story has been set, the racers are ready, and the Wildsea is stirring with anticipation at the start of The Final Race. Our very first actual play episode of Storm Of Whispers, where we meet the heroes of our journey across the Wildsea. We pull into dock with Luca and Cybin aboard The Morca, we witness Reverend Rise descend from the Cities of Ascension onto the Wishmaker's Dock, and we see the exiled Venick retaliate against his former ship, the Tiniox Ellineet. The characters come together to participate in the race in hopes of being the crew that can gather all of the Wishmaker's trinkets first and bring them back to have their wishes come true. But time is of the essence. The Horizon death cult wish is coming to fruition and the world will be destroyed by the beings on the moon if someone doesn't wish them away. Will the winners of the race wish for the safety of the Wildsea, or will this really be The Final Race? There were some odd wishes that came from the race. Some that changed the shape of the landscape, for sure, but then some that, well, seemed a bit odd. That one fellow wanted a cannon. Daft as a muck-crow, that one. Then that business with the resorts. I've never been fond of a tourist trap, but it is hard to deny that Allyzen Quezo has some of the best pizza on the whole world. Episode three of Storm of Whispers is a continuation of our worldbuilding sessions of Microscope. The gang discusses some of the most influential wishes that have come out of The Race. We finally address the cannon to the moon, we talk about the big cheese of tourism, the even bigger cheese at the top, and a monstrous pun that actually causes a rage quit. The race was something seafaring folk started to flock to like an artic trader to a smoke shop. Things got so out of hand. In fact, everyday people started coming together to better their chances of getting a big group wish to come true. Some of these groups had the best intentions for their Wildsea brothers and sisters. Others, though, doomed us all. Episode two of Storm of Whispers is a continuation of our worldbuilding sessions of Microscope. The gang dives deeper into the history surrounding the race, talking about cults, death pacts, and repeat racers. We discover how the average person was able to gain power in the race and the impacts certain groups had on the world. There was a time long before the race began where the Wildsea was made up of sailors just trying to survive the wretched gnarl of the expansive green, traveling to and fro with supplies and good word on their ships. When the first captain won the race and was granted his wish, and impossible thing, all the creatures of the Wildsea took notice. On that day, the shape of the sea changed forever. Welcome to the start of Roll Play Game's main storyline of season two, Storm of Whispers, where we kick things off with a worldbuilding session of Microscope. The gang establishes the history of the world that we find ourselves in, a world of overgrown trees and ships that sail on the treetops that cover the world, the world of The Wildsea RPG.
