Mark 11:20-22 "And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God." Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
in this episode Pastor Dom teaches about the power of faith. Matthew 6:55 “And when you pray,Matthew 6:1616 “Moreover, when you fast,Mark 9:1818 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”Mark 9:28-2928 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” 29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”Matthew 17:20-2120 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”Luke 8:43-4843 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, 44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. 45 And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?' ” 46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” 47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. 48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”Matthew 8:5-105 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully ( Terrible ) tormented.” 7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” 8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,' and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,' and he does it.” 10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! Matthew 8:1313 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.James 2:2020 … that faith without works is dead?Romans 12:33 … God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.Romans 10:17So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Nobody had a more striking inheritance than the Israelites, right? Or so it would seem. Because if that's truly true, why do their chosen-ness, their Mosaic Law, and their many deliverances by God seemingly work to create a stumbling block to believing, to His designed salvific faith in Christ for all? And what about Abraham, who's written about in multiple verses in the New Testament as to his amazing faith and father to us? Join Kevin as we dive into the inheritance inspired by folks like Abraham back then and like serious believers this very day! // Download this episode's Application & Action questions and PDF transcript at whitestone.org.
When you humble yourself, God has promised to exalt you. Humility involves rejecting a sense of superiority, but instead choosing before God to take the attitude of a dependent and sinful creature and worship, fear, trust and obey him. When you choose humility, you can enjoy relationships with others for the long term because you make it easy for people to relate to you. You focus your words on others, to speak about what benefits them. Correction is easier to hear from you because you are humble. You make it a joy for the leaders over you.
