It is between Mukjar and Habillah regions.Traditionally in the homeland of the Fur tribe, Wadi Salih is predominantly Furawi with estimates up to 90% with the other 10% being some other tribes such as the Dajo tribe in the east of Wadi Salih.Garsila is the biggest town in Wadi Salih with it housing up to as high as 7,000 people until the early 2000s, which was during the time the Darfur Genocide took place which caused people to flee.Now in late 2025 using satellite imagery we can see that a lot of the markets of this town are empty, same with most homes. Derken âhireti hatırlıyor, bu sefer de seni orada görememekten korkuyorum...Çünkü ben, cennete girdirilsem bile, sen peygamberlerin derece ve makamlarında olacaksın, bense kulların derece ve makamlarında; binaenaleyh, seni göremiyeceğim. Eğer cennete girdirilmezsim, o zaman da seni asla göremiyeceğim..." Bunun üzerine, bu âyet-i kerime nazil oldu."Biz hiçbir peygamberi, Allah'ın izniyle kendisine itaat edilmesinden başka bir hikmetle göndermedik" (Nisa. 63)Sıddîk, sıdkı (doğruluğu) âdet edinmiş olan kimsenin ismidir. Bir fiil bir insanın âdeti olur ve o insan bu fiili ifade eden kelimeyle tavsif edilir ise, o vasıf fiîl vezni üzere gelir. Mesela hımmîr (çok şarap içen) denilir. Her kim, şekke düşmeksizin herhangibir dini tasdik eder (doğrular) ise, o sıddîktir. Bunun delili, "Allah'a ve peyamberlerine iman edenler (yok mu!), onlar sıddîklerdir" (Hadîd, 19) âyetidir.Sıddîk, Hazret-i Peygamber (sallallahü aleyhi ve sellem)'i ilk önce tasdik etmiş ve böylece, bu hususta diğer insanlara öncü olmuş kimsenin ismidir.O, Hazret-i Peygamber (sallallahü aleyhi ve sellem)'i tasdikte öncüdür. Çünkü, cehalet itikadda bir bozukluk, günah ise amelde bir bozukluktur. Born into a Bosnian Muslim family, Salih Hardaga grew up knowing that his family had done a very courageous thing. During the Nazi occupation of Sarajevo, his parents, Mustafa and Zeinaba, sheltered their Jewish friends, the Kabiljos, even though their home stood opposite a Nazi headquarters. After World War Two, the Kabiljos moved to Israel, but the families kept in touch - and in the early 1990s, the tables were turned. When war broke out in the former Yugoslavia in 1992, the Kabiljos were horrified to see that their former hometown of Sarajevo came under siege. They decided to try to rescue their old friends. Alex Strangwayes-Booth tells the story of the two families, meeting Salih Hardaga, now in his 80s and hearing his memories of his parents' brave actions. She finds out how the Kabiljo family in Israel enlisted the help of the authorities to rescue Salih's mother, husband and daughter from the Siege of Sarajevo. And Alex meets younger members of the Hardaga family who lived through the events, and reflects on the offer of rescue they received.
