Hello, Im Craig and welcome to another episode of Football Kit Memories - the football podcast that gets under the shirt.Today I meet football writer Kenny Miller, who in previous roles worked in comms for the Scottish FA and Hibs.During our chat, I speak to Kenny about his start in journalism at a young age, working with Four Four Two magazine and his more recent career working at Hampden and Easter Road. Kenny also shares some stories with me about the book he co-wrote in 2012, Football Manager Stole My Life in which he got to meet the legendary Tonton Zola Mokouko. Later I asked Kenny to pick out three of his favourite football shirts and tell me a little bit about what they mean to him. We covered some classic shirts as Kenny told me about a trip to the Velodrome inspired by Marseilles legend Franck Sauzée, meeting the Jamaicans in Paris during France 98 and we round off 114 years of history with Hibernian's emotional Scottish Cup Win in 2016.Remember, you can listen to this and other episodes of Football Kit Memories on all major audio platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Please do like, follow and share - but above all - enjoy the podcast ***You can follow me and my own collection on Instagram, or get in touch via Twitter or email. footballkitmemories@gmail.com https://Twitter.com/FKMPodcasthttps://instagram.com/footballkitmemoriesWatch on YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7ZkbjUVvh2YmgH6knIvOAwMake sure you follow Kenny on socialhttps://twitter.com/Kenny_MillarThe music you heard was produced by Evil Ed check out his music on Bandcamp https://eviled1.bandcamp.comAnd… finally thanks for listening. This week we barrel down the alley of song with Gillian Welch, Quatuor Molinari, Boids, Sound Dimension and The Sixteen. It's fast, it's furious, it's... well, it's not that fast. And only mildly upset (not really). And not a shamrock in sight.

The best real rock riddim mix you ever heard? Take a listen. The Crown Prince of Reggae, Dennis Emmanuel Brown kicks off the mix and closes it out with the same song in a different style. The Real Rock Riddim is the most versioned reggae Riddim and the most sampled reggae instrumental in history. The original was played in 1967 by one of Coxsone Dodd’s session bands at Studio One, the Sound Dimension band. Ever since then it's been a foundation instrumental for dancehall and reggae. The real rock is just a part of Reggae music that is never going to stop. You are going to hear that beat in movies, on your radio, on your mix tapes, and in your parties. I kept the mix short and spicy so it doesn’t get boring. If you love reggae music and have been listening from back in the days, then this should be nostalgic for you.
