Las primera canción que suena es en la voz de Patsy Cline, la artista de country pop fallecida en un accidente de aviación a los 30 años, aquí junto al grupo de góspel que acompañaba a Elvis Presley, los Jordanaires, "Crazy" (Loca) es una historia de desamor que escribió Willie Nelson en 1961. Dirigida por Mat Whitecross y con guión de Inma Cánovas, Jordi Gasull y Ricky Roxburgh, la película sitúa al espectador en el corazón del Campeonato Mundial de Moto2 y MotoGP, donde ritmos narrativos propios del cine de acción se entrelazan con la emoción íntima de sus personajes. "Frankenstein" had its world premiere at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival and later screened at the Telluride and Toronto International Film Festivals. It received positive reviews for its direction and adaptation by Guillermo del Toro of Mary Shelley's beloved, iconic novel, as well as incredible craftsmanship from all areas of production, and performances from Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, and Mia Goth. Octavio y Adela nacen en dos pueblos vecinos de una sierra cercana a Madrid el mismo amanecer en que se proclama la II República. Así, desde el primer día, y sin ellos saberlo, sus destinos discurren conectados, enlazados en forma de “8”, dos bucles con un cruce en el centro, mientras de fondo transcurre España; la que le toca vivir a cada uno. Pero el destino les depara más de una sorpresa. El reclamo de la actriz influencer Nicole Wallace puede ser el gancho de la peli romántica que ha dirigido Alejandro San Martín. Ambas forman un vínculo inesperado, hasta que un descubrimiento repentino lo cambia todo. Esta película danesa, dirigida por Magnus von Horn fue una de las cinco nominadas en la categoría de Mejor Película Internacional en los últimos Oscar. NOTA EDC. 4 estrellas Min 41. MISERICORDIA (Francia 2025) Jérémie regresa a su pueblo natal para asistir al funeral de Jean-Pierre, antiguo jefe suyo. Ha decidido quedarse unos días en casa de Martine, su viuda. Pero una misteriosa desaparición, un vecino amenazante y un extraño sacerdote van a hacer que la breve y tranquila estancia de Jérémie tome un giro inesperado. Dirigida por Alain Guiraudie, Misericordia es otra de las películas alternativas que salen mejor paradas de nuestro Filtro Luchini. NOTA EDC: 3,5 estrellas. Our latest guest on Soundtracking is Malcolm Washington, son of Denzel, who joins Edith to discuss his directorial debut, The Piano Lesson, which he also co-wrote and will be available to stream on Netflix on 22nd November. Based on the play by August Wilson, The Piano Lesson is set in 1936 Pittsburgh during the aftermath of The Great Depression, and follows the lives of the Charles family and a precious heirloom, the family piano.
