We are back with another edition of The Nielson Show and today it's Matt Iwanyk and Wil Fraser! The fellas start off the show by recapping their summer's thus far. Wil gave Matt and the nasties some advice on where to travel in the rockies that are just as beautiful as Banff and Jasper… but not nearly as busy. We then dipped into Morning Announcements from 100.3 The Bear to recap all the big stories from last night in the world of sport. We primarily discussed Canadian Tennis, in particular Genie Bouchard announcing her retirement from professional tennis. After the update, Mike Hogan, voice of the Toronto Argos joined the show. He started off with his thoughts on the Argos season thus far. Touched on Chad Kelly, and how much this team has been missing him.
We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia. It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda. Lots of great questions in this segment and even better answers from the boys! Near the end of the final hour on today's show, it was time to get Fired Up from Gemco Fireplaces! Matty was fired up about the Labour Day Bus Announcement, YouTube Trev was fired up about going fishing next week! And Wil Fraser was fired up about how great this MLB season has actually been! Like we always do, we hit Morning Announcements from 100.3 The Bear to recap everything in the world of sport from last night. After the first sports update, we dove into Offseason, What Offseason?!? Who would you like to see slotted on Leon Draisaitl's line to start the season. Dusty and YTT became best friends in this segment. It was then time for MMMMMM That's Good presented by Italian Centre Shop. Today we discussed how good CFL fantasy is, and the massive trade in the KERFLOAT. We finished the hour by going through some ESTY categories for this year's ESTY's!
The Open Championship gets underway tomorrow… so the first guest on today's show is Geoff Ulrich, Draft Kings Golf Analyst! He gave us some very good insight on who he thing's will win this years major. Touched on some underdogs. He finished with his thoughts on Canadian Nick Taylor as he's being playing great as of late. After Geoff, we made a huge announcement…The Edmonton Sports Talk Labour Day Bus, presented by Canadian Club! We'll be heading down to Cal Town and we want you to come with! What a special third hour we have in store for you today. Marshall Nielson makes his EST debut on the third hour of today's show! He joined the boy's for Mr. Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia. What's his favourite sport, favourite Star Wars movie and if he could meet any athlete out there, who would it be?! After the break, Marshall then gave out a list of who he thinks the best NHL players are... followed by a list of who his favourite CFL players are. We then, also played some of Marshall's favourite Nielson Show Originals. After the update, The Muzz joined the show. She answered a plethera of questions from the nasties as well, then gave a list of her favourite NHL players. Near the end of the show, it was time for Scalding Hot Takes and The Nielson's absolutely brought it! The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff!
