Men nam elkaar de maat. Episode 129: This week, Kyle Van Pelt talks with Mitch Hamer. Mitch is the Founder & Lead Advisor at Intersecting Wealth, where he partners with families to navigate their financial lives with clarity and intention. With an approach rooted more in psychology and behavior, Mitch helps clients step back from the things that get far too much attention and focus on the priorities that are often overlooked. Kyle and Mitch unpack the real alpha inside modern advisory work. They also discuss the challenges of scaling a highly personalized service, the importance of building a multi-generational firm to serve multi-generational clients, and the self-aware entrepreneurial path that focuses on alignment, work-life balance, and finding your own unique way in the industry. In this episode: (00:00) - Intro (01:55) - Mitch's money moment (03:32) - Mitch's journey from options trading to wealth advisory (09:16) - Why advisors say planning is everything (12:08) - The challenges of scaling highly personalized service (15:38) - What it takes to start an RIA without an established book of business (22:03) - The difference between a strategist and a technician (25:40) - How Intersecting Wealth builds a multi-generational firm (29:35) - The future of Intersecting Wealth (31:26) - Mitch's take on the future of the financial services industry (34:27) - Intersecting Wealth's tech stack (35:34) - Mitch's Milemarker Minute Key Takeaways Planning, not returns, is where trust is built. Advisors often feel pressure to deliver higher returns, but most client anxiety comes from uncertainty around spending, legacy, and purpose. Behavioral insight is a real advisory skillset. Advisors who understand behavior, fear, emotion, and decision-making are positioned to add more value than technical portfolio expertise alone. Don't confuse activity with value. Spending too much time on complex, non-scalable technical work can prevent growth. Realize that your greatest contribution might be in the human element, the listening, strategizing, and having hard conversations with clients. Quotes "I realized that the value-add was the conversations away from investments. And that's the reason why I ended up doing really deep advanced planning across the financial planning spectrum." ~ Mitch Hamer "When you're sitting across from a family, and you're starting to unpack what they're trying to accomplish or what makes them nervous, it's often verbalized as 'I'm uncomfortable with risk'. But what I'm seeing them verbalize is 'I don't really know what my plan is.'” ~ Mitch Hamer "You can't overlay tech on trust. It's not going to be a tech platform that moves advisors over. It's going to be a service model that wins them." ~ Mitch Hamer Links Mitch Hamer on LinkedIn Intersecting Wealth Cboe Global Markets John Marshall Goldman Sachs Morgan Stanley Merrill Lynch Stratos Wealth eMoney Advisor RightCapital Income Lab Wealthbox Money Together Connect with our hosts Milemarker.co Kyle on LinkedIn Jud on LinkedIn Subscribe and stay in touch Apple Podcasts Spotify YouTube Produce game-changing content with Turncast Turncast helps your company grow by producing top-quality content and fostering transformative conversations.

What if everything you've been told about disease is wrong? What if your chronic symptoms aren't caused by bad genes, toxins, or bad luck—but by unresolved conflict in your relationships? In this paradigm-shifting episode, Raj sits down with Brandon Bozarth, a practitioner of German New Medicine and biological relating, to explore the revolutionary discovery that ALL disease begins with a "conflict shock"—and that your relationships are either healing you or making you sick. What You'll Learn:What is German New Medicine, and why did Dr. Hamer's personal tragedy lead to a discovery that challenges everything Western medicine believes about disease? How does a single shocking moment create a cascade of physical symptoms—and why does your brain not know the difference between real danger and perceived threat? What are the two phases every illness goes through, and why are your symptoms actually signs of healing, not attack? How do your childhood experiences literally shape the diseases you'll face as an adult? Why do men and women experience completely different "territory conflicts"—and how does living outside your biological design create chronic illness? What happens hormonally when a man loses his "maleness" through conflict shock, and how does this show up in modern relationships? How can understanding your partner's biology prevent the conflict shocks that lead to depression, infertility, and autoimmune conditions? What's the exact path to resolving a conflict so deeply that the original trigger can never affect you again? Here's the truth: Your body isn't broken. It's adapting. Every symptom is a message, and your relationships hold the key to decoding it.If you're tired of chasing supplements, doctors, and diagnoses that never quite work—this episode offers something different: a framework for understanding WHY your body does what it does, and the profound healing possible when you finally address the root.Your healing might be one relationship shift away.

This is a grounded, unflinching conversation that pushes back against the misrepresentations and surface-level critiques that have come to dominate discussions around GNM. Joined by Natasha Nazerali, we explore what German New Medicine actually claims, where it is most commonly misunderstood, and why it provokes such strong emotional and institutional resistance. Rather than positioning GNM as a replacement for conventional medicine, this episode invites a more mature inquiry into nature, meaning, biology, conflict, and coherence—examining the premise that the human organism is not separate from nature, but an expression of its intelligence. From this view, symptoms are not random malfunctions, but intelligible processes arising from the same natural laws that govern all life. This is not an episode for blind belief or ideological camps, but for sincere truth-seekers willing to think clearly, question narratives, and engage with a controversial framework on its own terms.Time Stamps(00:00) Episode Teaser (00:41) Opening Conversation (02:44) Welcome Today's Guest (05:11) The Popularity & Misunderstandings of German New Medicine (10:25) Biological Laws and Their Significance (15:09) The Role of Microbes and Toxins (15:54) The Fifth Biological Law: Quintessence (17:07) Political Environment and Controversies (19:14) Dr. Hamer's Legacy and Naming Controversy (35:09) Case Studies and Scientific Claims (50:22) Overcoming Initial Client Challenges (52:16) Debating the Validity of German New Medicine (53:57) Experiencing Nature and Biological Connection (56:44) The Role of Toxins and Adaptation (01:04:00) Personal Experiences with GNM (01:21:16) The Sacredness of Biological WisdomGuest Linkshttps://www.natashanazerali.com/ The Bio-Logical Woman Course Previous Episodes with NatashaNew to GNM? Musical Journey Through the Final Week of December: This Week in Music History As the calendar year draws to a close, the week of December 22nd through December 28th stands as a powerful reminder that music history never sleeps—not even during the holidays. In this captivating episode of “This Week in Music History,” hosts Buzz Knight and Harry Jacobs take listeners on an extraordinary journey through decades of musical milestones, tragic losses, and triumphant achievements that have shaped the soundtrack of our lives. The conversation opens with a poignant reflection on the end of another year of exploring music’s rich tapestry. Buzz muses on how, despite covering similar calendar dates year after year, they continue to uncover new stories and perspectives. “When you think about it, you would think, well, if you do it year after year, you’re going to be talking about the same things,” Buzz observes. “And the truth is, we continue to uncover new and different things.” This sentiment perfectly captures the infinite depth of music history and the endless stories waiting to be told. The Clash’s Revolutionary Voice Falls Silent December 22nd marks the anniversary of one of punk rock’s most devastating losses—the death of Joe Strummer in 2002. Born John Meller, the Clash frontman passed away from pneumonia at a time when his influence on music and culture was still reverberating through generations of artists. The Clash represented more than just a band; they were a political and social force that challenged conventions and inspired countless musicians to use their platform for more than entertainment. Strummer’s legacy as a voice for the disenfranchised and his commitment to authentic, passionate rock and roll continues to inspire artists today. A Candle in the Wind That Lost Its Luster The hosts touch on Elton John’s iconic “Candle in the Wind,” originally written about Marilyn Monroe in 1967. While the song initially resonated as a beautiful tribute, its later reworking for Princess Diana’s funeral created what Buzz describes as “overkill.” The constant repetition following Diana’s tragic death in 1997 caused the song to lose some of its original emotional impact for many listeners. This phenomenon speaks to how even the most beautiful pieces of music can become dulled through overexposure, demonstrating the delicate balance between honoring memory and respecting the power of restraint. Cheap Trick’s Complex Family Dynamics A fascinating deep dive into the internal dynamics of Cheap Trick reveals the complicated nature of band relationships and business structures. Rick Nielsen, the legendary guitar player known for his collection of hundreds of guitars—including his famous five-neck Hamer guitar—represents the performative and creative heart of Cheap Trick. The band’s 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction marked a peak moment, but beneath the surface lay complex tensions. The departure of bassist Bunny Carlos and the subsequent addition of Rick Nielsen’s son, Dax, initially appeared to follow the pattern of other famous rock family transitions, like Michael Anthony’s replacement by Wolfgang Van Halen in Van Halen. However, the reality proved far more nuanced. Buzz’s research uncovered ongoing strife within the band, though Carlos remains part of the Cheap Trick corporation—a business structure similar to Journey’s arrangement with Steve Perry. This setup ensures that founding members maintain ownership stakes even when they’re no longer actively touring, though it can also create lasting tension and legal complications. The hosts explore the darker side of band politics, touching on stories of sabotage and ego clashes. There are tales of Journey band members allegedly pulling on Steve Perry’s microphone cord during performances to make him trip—petty acts of revenge that reveal the intense pressures and personalities at play in successful rock bands. Yet they also note that time can heal wounds, pointing to Perry and Neal Schon’s apparently warm relationship at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, despite whatever conflicts may have existed in their past. The Therapeutic Approach: A New Model for Band Longevity In a refreshing counterpoint to tales of band dysfunction, Buzz shares insights from his conversation with The Head and the Heart on his “Music Saved Me” podcast. This indie pop alternative band has taken an innovative approach to managing interpersonal relationships: group therapy. Band members openly discuss how they’ve used professional counseling to navigate the challenges of creative collaboration, life on the road, and the inevitable conflicts that arise when passionate artists work together for years. This revelation prompts fascinating speculation about how many legendary bands might have avoided breakups, lawsuits, and lasting bitterness if they’d embraced therapy earlier. The deeply personal nature of musical creation—leaving your heart exposed in every performance, every recording—makes these relationships particularly vulnerable to conflict. As Harry notes, “even if it’s a drummer or a bass player, it’s still your piece of that performance of that song you left your heart out there.” The music exists forever as a testament to that vulnerability, creating permanent emotional stakes that can intensify disagreements and hurt feelings. Joe Cocker: A Voice That Couldn’t Be Contained The passing of Joe Cocker at age 70 in 2014 brings reflection on an artist whose expressive, explosive performances made him unforgettable. While 70 might not seem particularly old from our current vantage point—as Buzz and Harry, approaching 60 and 70 respectively, can attest—Cocker’s hard-living lifestyle took its toll. His performances were legendary, inspiring John Belushi’s spot-on “Saturday Night Live” impersonation that Cocker himself found hilarious. Cocker’s career highlights include his cover of The Beatles’ “With a Little Help from My Friends,” which became the theme for the television series “The Wonder Years,” and “Up Where We Belong,” his duet with Jennifer Warnes from the film “An Officer and a Gentleman.” The latter song became inextricably linked with that powerful film starring Richard Gere and Lou Gossett Jr., whose portrayal of a drill instructor was genuinely frightening and contributed to one of cinema’s most memorable moments—Gere’s character’s desperate declaration: “I got nowhere else to go.” Eddie Vedder: The Humble Superstar December 23rd celebrates the birthday of Eddie Vedder, born in 1964, whose appreciation for musical history and those who came before him sets him apart in an industry often dominated by ego. The hosts draw parallels to Dave Grohl, noting how both artists exhibit genuine humility and respect for their influences. Vedder’s collaborations with Neil Young, particularly their version of “Rockin’ in the Free World,” helped establish his credibility beyond Pearl Jam circles, while his passionate renditions of The Who’s classics—especially “Love, Reign o’er Me”—have become legendary in their own right. Vedder’s versatility shines through in his cover work, from The Waiting by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to The English Beat’s “Save It for Later,” featured in the television series “The Bear.” His interpretation of Tom Petty’s “Room at the Top” particularly resonates, described as “so beautiful” in its delicate handling of Petty’s original composition. The discussion of “The Bear” opens a tangent about the show’s exceptional soundtrack curation, featuring all Tom Petty covers including a barn-burning version of “Runnin’ Down the Dream” by Larkin Poe. Despite Pearl Jam’s reputation for deep cuts and extensive catalogs—which might intimidate casual fans—the hosts acknowledge being captivated whenever they hear Vedder sing anything. His voice and interpretive skills transcend the barrier of familiarity, making even unknown material compelling. The Unsung Guitar Legends of Country Music The conversation shifts to Glen Campbell, whose passing on December 24th prompts reflection on his extraordinary but often underappreciated guitar skills. Campbell represents a generation of country musicians whose technical prowess gets overshadowed by genre stereotypes. Like Roy Clark, Campbell could do virtually anything on guitar, yet many people don’t associate country music with virtuoso instrumentalists. Campbell’s session work tells the story of his versatility—he played on albums by The Monkees, The Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, and soundtracks for Elvis films and Phil Spector productions. This breadth demonstrates how the Nashville studio system produced some of the most skilled musicians in any genre, even if they didn’t always receive recognition outside country music circles. The discussion of Campbell also touches on Brian Wilson’s 1964 breakdown, a tragic moment that had long-lasting consequences for the Beach Boys and Wilson himself. The psychological damage inflicted by Wilson’s abusive father Murry Wilson—compared to Joe Jackson’s treatment of his children—demonstrates how family trauma can derail even the most talented artists. Brian’s struggles with touring and performing were just the beginning of severe mental health challenges that would plague him throughout his career. The Police: Reunion Done Right In 2007, The Police earned recognition as the year’s highest-grossing tour, thirty years after the band’s inception and 24-25 years after their previous collaboration. The reunion tour, which Buzz witnessed in Las Vegas, comprised over 150 shows worldwide and generated nearly $400 million—not a bad payday for a comeback. This success demonstrated the enduring appeal of Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland’s unique blend of rock, reggae, and new wave, proving that some artistic chemistry remains potent even after decades apart.Support the show: https://takinawalk.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Understanding Contract Formation: A Deep Dive into Offer, Acceptance, and ConsiderationThis conversation provides a comprehensive overview of the foundational principles of contract law, focusing on the critical elements of offer, acceptance, and consideration. It emphasizes the importance of the objective theory of assent, the distinctions between common law and UCC rules, and the role of promissory estoppel as a safety net in contract formation. The discussion is structured to aid law students in preparing for exams by providing a systematic approach to analyzing contract formation issues. In the realm of contract law, understanding the foundational principles of offer, acceptance, and consideration is crucial. These elements form the bedrock of legally binding agreements, ensuring that promises made are enforceable by law. This blog post delves into these core concepts, providing a comprehensive guide for law students and professionals alike. The Objective Theory of Assent: At the heart of contract formation lies the objective theory of assent. This principle dictates that the intent to form a contract is judged by outward expressions rather than internal thoughts. Courts evaluate what a reasonable person would interpret from the words and actions of the parties involved, ensuring that agreements are based on clear, external manifestations of intent.Offer and Acceptance: A valid offer is a clear, definite proposal to enter into an agreement, which, upon acceptance, forms a contract. The offer must be communicated in a way that the offeree understands that their acceptance will create a binding contract. Acceptance, on the other hand, must mirror the terms of the offer exactly, especially under common law, where any deviation can result in a counteroffer rather than acceptance.Consideration: The Glue of Contracts: Consideration is the exchange of value that solidifies a contract. It requires that each party incurs a legal detriment or confers a benefit, creating a reciprocal bargain. Without consideration, a promise remains a mere gift, unenforceable by law. The classic case of Hamer v. Sidway illustrates this, where a nephew's forbearance from legal rights constituted valid consideration for his uncle's promise.Promissory Estoppel: A Safety Net: When traditional contract elements fail, promissory estoppel can step in to enforce a promise. This equitable doctrine applies when a promise induces significant reliance, and injustice can only be avoided by enforcing the promise. It serves as a crucial tool in scenarios where formal contract formation is lacking.Mastering the intricacies of contract formation is essential for navigating the legal landscape. By understanding the principles of offer, acceptance, and consideration, and recognizing the role of promissory estoppel, one can approach contract law with confidence and clarity. As the legal field evolves, these foundational concepts remain vital, ensuring that agreements are both fair and enforceable.Subscribe now to stay updated on the latest insights in contract law and beyond.TakeawaysContract law is fundamentally about enforcing serious private agreements. The objective theory of assent is crucial for understanding intent in contracts.Advertisements are generally not offers but invitations to deal.Acceptance is effective upon dispatch, not upon receipt.Consideration is essential for a promise to be legally enforceable.Promissory estoppel can enforce a promise even without consideration. The pre-existing duty rule prevents coercion in contract modifications.UCC allows for contract modifications without new consideration if made in good faith. The mailbox rule applies only to acceptance, not to rejections or revocations. The law is dynamic and requires adaptation to modern realities.contract law, offer, acceptance, consideration, promissory estoppel, UCC, common law, legal relations, contract formation, law school

Andi Locke Mears has been using the knowledge of Germanic New Medicine in her naturopathic practice since 2008. Until then, she was chasing the next certification to best serve her patients. But GNM dramatically changed the way she interacted with her patients back then and continues to until this day.In this, the 5th episode on GNM, Andi teaches us about Constellations. This in NOT family constellations as most may think, but a state the vast majority of us are in due to multiple conflict shocks impacting specific parts of our brains. Our brains are a map of what we have perceived and it does not lie. Each of our perceptions, preferences, behaviours and more have been shaped by what we have experienced and perceived in the moment. This is not bad or good, it just 'is'. This knowledge gives clarity and can also provide for empathy when judging ourselves and others. And what I really love about GNM is the empowerment it brings while dropping the fear. Once you realize that most of what the experts are claiming with regards to symptoms and disease is in fact not true, a whole new level of confidence and trust in your body overtakes you. This interview may require more than one listen! This is a confusing and elaborate topic and this interview is a mere introduction to the topic of constellations, but I hope it gives you some insights into your own life and that of the people around you. Here are some of the major talking points:01:40 - See episodes 64, 66, 74 and 92 for previous GNM interviews with Tanya Verquin and Danny Carroll02:20 - Who is Andi Lock Mears?04:20 - Germanic New Medicine is NOT a modality - it is a new understanding of biology, pathology, physiology, psychiatry, psychology and behavioural issues05:25 - How Andi got started in GNM08:00 - The name and origins explained of Germanic New Medicine12:00 - How gGNM came to be13:05 - Testicular cancer - loss of loved one before diagnosis14:40 - How Dr. Hamer couldn't present his post-doctoral thesis because his findings were 100% accurate16:30 - The power of raising your children with this knowledge17:30 - Constellations explained18:15 - Dr. Hamer's first job in an insane asylum25:00 - Territorial conflicts explained (these affected hormonal status)27:00 - Differences between male and female territories28:00 - How handedness affects how conflcts affect us28:50 - How left-handers have more balanced brains29:40 - How territory conflicts affect our behaviours and hormone status32:25 - Alpha males and females35:00 - Brain stem is related to survival conflicts, cerebellum is related protection conflicts44:15 - How mood shifts once conflicts downgrade45:45 - Dangers of resolving territorial conflicts46:30 - Post-mortal constellation and arteries and veins, how it starts and the dangers of resolutions48:50 - Epicrisis - height of healing, squeezing out fluid49:25 - Every epicrisis is initiated by the brain51:00 - Labels in our kids are all conflict shocks52:00 - Short-term memory loss can look like inability to focus53:00 - Kids are conflicted because we don't live biologically54:00 - How we move through an event depends on perception of our subconscious1:00:00 - How we are biologically meant to have our kids when we are young, as young as teenagers1:05:00 - If women give birth before the age of 25, we gain 3 years of maturity for every birth1:16:00 - A few words on menopauseand more!!Support me and check out my store page for discounts on various products at: https://www.sovereigncollective.org/shop/Find Andi:www.andilocke.comFind me:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/saschakalivoda/IG: https://www.instagram.com/saschaksays/Website: www.sovereigncollective.orgYou Tube: https://www.youtube.com/@saschasays/videosBitchute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/Tfl1Zo021FcX

I share two of my own stories – the rash that kept showing up on the right side of my face, and the colon scare that hit during one of the angriest seasons of my life – and how both matched this framework with borderline uncomfortable precision. If you've ever been told your symptoms are random, mysterious, or “just stress,” this conversation offers a very different lens. You'll Learn:[00:00:00] Introduction[00:08:22] Your symptoms are always telling the truth[00:11:04] Dr. Hamer's devastating loss, testicular cancer and the creation of the First Biological Law[00:18:55] What a real conflict shock is and why it's more than just being stressed out[00:25:11] The Five Biological Laws[01:06:29] The arrogance of not respecting, trusting and understanding nature's design[01:18:27] Why Ted Kaczynski's early separation trauma explains his later violent patterns[01:24:15] What happens when territorial anger and identity conflict strike at the same time[01:30:44] Brain layers, hormones, and hierarchy biology[01:44:49] How does our belief impact our physiology and symptoms?[02:02:15] Why doesn't everyone who experiences the same conflict develop symptoms?[02:23:13] Why seizures happen according to German New Medicine[02:37:22] Why do young babies get sick?[02:39:20] Can belief override or amplify the physical effects of harmful or beneficial substances?[02:46:22] Your body is infinitely adaptable, if you're relaxed[02:56:34] Is German New Medicine truly a universal biological law?[03:00:55] What to do when you can't figure out what the conflict was that is causing your symptoms[03:04:30] How to actually resolve your conflicts & why are there some conflicts you might not want to resolve?[03:09:26] When the healing phase would be too intense, surgery is still a good option[03:41:23] How your internal story shapes whether you lean into victimhood or transformation[03:43:29] Similarities between Traditional Chinese Medicine and German New Medicine[03:49:17] What allergies really are[03:59:01] Bringing conflicts into consciousness can offer immediate resolution[04:00:12] Detective work stories of deciphering conflicts and symptoms[04:12:52] Why forcing healing doesn't workResources Mentioned:The Way Forward episode on German New Medicine with Dr. Melissa Sell | Apple or SpotifyDr. Hamer | WebsiteGHK Self Study Bundle | WebsiteUse discount code TWF50 and save $50 off Melissa's course The Bio-Logical Woman starting February 2026.Find more from Dr. Melissa:Dr. Melissa Sell | WebsiteDr. Melissa Sell | YouTubeDr. Melissa Sell | FacebookDr. Melissa Sell | InstagramDr. Melissa Sell | XFind more from Alec:Alec Zeck | InstagramAlec Zeck | XThe Way Forward | InstagramThe Way Forward is Sponsored By:RMDY Academy & Collective: Homeopathy Made AccessibleHigh-quality remedies and training to support natural healing. This episode was recorded for my UK Column show. Please support us.This conversation with author Danny Carroll delves into German New Medicine (GNM). GNM posits that nature responds to unexpected challenges through Significant Biological Special Programmes (SBS) triggered by Dirk Hamer Syndrome (DHS), an acute conflict shock which synchronously affects the psyche, brain, and corresponding organs.SBS programmes adapt biological capacity by either augmenting cells (tumour growth) in old-brain controlled organs, or causing tissue loss in new-brain controlled organs during the Conflict Active Phase. The aim is to enhance survival and resolve distress. For instance, in cases that involve reproductive organs like the testicles, a profound loss conflict might initially lead to tissue necrosis, followed by cell proliferation in the healing phase. This restores, and potentially enhances, capability. It can address issues such as infertility, as exemplified from Dr Hamer's own experiences. The framework suggests cancer is not a random malignancy. It is a purposeful and temporary condition within a two-phase biological process where capacity reverts to normal upon conflict resolution. This highlights how environmental interplay shapes health outcomes and turns challenges into opportunities for growth.➡️ Danny's website: https://danny-carroll.com
