It's the last Friday in April of 2025 and we are going to some news: A smiley face in the sky; updates on Klaus Schwab's 'ouster'; and more! Comedian Mike Baldwin (MikeIsFunny.com) joins to dish on a variety of topics, like the brand new competitive sport that is about to make a splash: Sperm Racing. You read that correctly. Reel review in the second hour, and time for calls before we cast off into another week of Tee-Ball and deep breaths. Big week of guests next week, and Lauren's birthday! Jeff Bezos brought a gaggle of all-female celebrities into space on Monday morning, and so we are going to be opening a hotline, and reading from a show thread, dedicated to the best jokes on this matter. This also gave me the perfect excuse to finally read through the backstory on the 2018 "Drilled Hole Incident" on the International Space Station. The general open line will be active as well, but this should be more than enough for tonight's Tee-Ball shortened broadcast. Sensei Nick Taber is a martial arts practitioner, instructor, personal trainer, and podcaster based in Massachusetts. Before you get others to care about what you're doing, you have to show that you care about them. If you do that then you're golden. You teach the tenets, but you have to show how you live those and where they could improve… Sensei Nick Taber - Episode 806 Most martial artists trained because of bullying and parents asked them to do so. However Sensei Nick Taber, started his journey when he got bored with Tee Ball as a young kid and for his love of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In fact, he could never forget the smell the first time he went inside a Dojo. Sensei Nick Taber fell in love with martial arts because his Sensei never treated him as an inferior student. Presently, he took over Sensei Eric Gifford's Cha-Sin-do after he retired. He is also a fitness coach. He is the host of the Real Talks with Sensei Nick Podcast. In this episode, Sensei Nick Taber talks about his journey to the martial arts with his Cerebral Palsy and his style Cha-sin-do. The guys take shots at people that get on their nerves, coaching Tee Ball, and more.
Kathleen opens the show drinking a Robot Crush from Aeronaut Brewing in Somerville, MA which was sent to her via the great USPS from a Worthy Termite.TERMITE SHOUTOUTS: Kathleen is thrilled to go through mail from the PO box, thanking Termites Quinn/Stearns (aka “Dr. Quinn”) for her Robot Crush and Marshmallow Fluff (both “born” in Massachusetts), and big thanks to Max for her Dogecoin (which she vows to carry for good gambling luck in her wallet.) Also massive thanks to Creative Termite Elisa (her company's name is Texrah Designs in Dallas) who sent Paddles a very cool Post Malone prayer candle, since Post is one of Paddles' favorite singers.UPDATE ON KATHLEEN'S QUEEN'S COURT: Kathleen announces to the Termites that she has no worthwhile updates from the Queens over the past week, but will continue her hunt for breaking news.“GOOD BAD FOOD”: In her quest for new and delicious not-so-nutritious junk food AND in continuing her search for the best Ranch, Kathleen samples Tessemae's Everything Bagel Ranch, which she thinks is too tangy and tastes more dill than “everything.” Next on the menu are Roulette Nacho Cheese Doritos, which she loves and can't WAIT to offer her young nieces and nephew to watch their shock at the heat. She finishes her tasting menu telling Termites to add Texas Pete Dust Dry Seasoning on any meat they put on the grill, and that Marshmallow Fluff is delicious AND has a stickiness comparable to Gorilla Glue. TENNESSEE GETS A BUC-EE'S TRUCK STOP: As listeners know, Kathleen is a massive fan of good truck stops. She's absolutely excited to read an article that her friend Heidi forwarded announcing that crews have broken ground on the Crossville TN Buc-ee's travel center – the first one in Tennessee; which will be more than 53,400 square feet and offer 120 fueling positions just outside its store with thousands of snack, meal and drink options for travelers on the go.GUN-WAVING STL COUPLE UPDATE: Kathleen reads an update from her hometown of St. Louis, where Mark and Patricia McCloskey were fined and charged with a misdemeanor for pointing guns at social justice demonstrators last year.BATTLE OF THE SPACE BILLIONAIRES: Kathleen provides an update on the space race currently underway between billionaires Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, and now Richard Branson. Just after Bezos announced that he would join his Blue Origin's first crewed flight on July 20th, Branson announced plans to launch over the July 4th holiday weekend, making him the FIRST to reach space on his private Virgin Galactic craft. Stay tuned, Termites.PINK FLOYD VS FACEBOOK: Listeners who follow Kathleen know that she can't stand Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, feeling that he is a morally bankrupt human. She's delighted to hear that Pink Floyd star Roger Waters shares her opinion, when he recently rejected an offer from Zuckerberg for the use of his classic track Another Brick in the Wall Part II. Speaking at a recent event, Waters opened up about the financial offer from Zuckerberg, who he called “one of the most powerful idiots in the world”, revealing the Facebook boss wanted to use his 1979 song in a film to promote Instagram.ELIZABETH HOLMES MERCH SOARS: As Termites know, Kathleen is committed to seeing the end of the Theranos scandal with its founder, Elizabeth Holmes, in prison for her fraudulent activities. Holmes is facing federal wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud charges in connection with allegedly deceiving investors, patients, and doctors about her company's blood-testing technology, and is facing 20 years in prison if convicted. Kathleen reports that Internet sellers are cashing in on swag despite the fraudulent undertones of the trial, cashing in before her criminal fraud trial starts in August 2021. Kathleen is absolutely committed to obtaining a “Theranos: Early Investor” coffee mug from Etsy before the trial begins, because it's important to have goals ☺MEGHAN MARKLE'S BOOK FLOPS: Kathleen delightedly reads an article announcing that Meghan Markle's children's book release, “The Bench,” profoundly flopped in sales in its release week. Online reviewers dismissed the publication as a vanity project which should have been kept within the Royal family, while her sister-in-law Kate Middleton's photography book “Hold Still” remains at the top of the bestseller list. Kathleen mentions that karma might play a part in this situation…WHAT RICH PEOPLE ARE SPENDING MONEY ON: Kathleen laughs that she's starting a new segment to the Pubcast called “What Rich People Are Spending Money On,” after weeks of reading about sales of stolen art and trips to space for auction. This week she reads a press release that shoe magnate Stuart Weitzman has sold a secret coin, his 1933 Double Eagle “Mona Lisa” of collector coins, for $18.9M. Kathleen expands on the story with her own childhood tales regarding having pride in her ownership of Silver Dollars that her grandparents had gifted to her, citing that the only people that would care about her rare coins and stamps would be her super-nerd and incredibly gifted cool friends Lorene Machado and Jackie Kashian, whom she is looking into ordering “Super Nerd” capes for on Etsy. A DEATH IN CRYPTOLAND: In continuing her obsession with cryptocurrency and her love for all things Canadian, Kathleen recommends listening to the CBC Canada podcast “A Death In Cryptoland” about the alleged death of Quadriga CEO Gerald Cotten. Cotten started Canada's largest cryptocurrency exchange in his twenties and is reported to have died while honeymooning in India at the age of 30. The alleged death set off a cataclysmic chain of events that would leave approx 76,000 people out of a quarter of a billion dollars and a trail of conspiracy theories around whether he is dead or alive. KENTUCKY TEE-BALL GAME BRAWL: Kathleen takes another sip of beer and laughs out loud reading an article surrounding a tee-ball championship game in Kentucky that erupted into a brawl when parents began fighting after a spectator ran onto the field, leaving the young players in tears amid the chaos.Witnesses told local media that a spectator ran onto the field, prompting the umpire to end the game and the scheduled trophy and medal presentation ceremony to be canceled. The incident began when the opposing coaches got into an argument over a call when the fan ran on the field. Other spectators said the man took off his shirt and began cursing and shoving people.RENTAL CAR PRICES SOAR: An avid traveler and a big supporter of the rental car industry (especially her hometown based Enterprise Rental Car), Kathleen is amazed when reading an article advising US travelers that US rental car prices could double by August amidst a nationwide shortage of cars. The skyrocketing prices come as demand for rental cars outstrips supply, when in a desperate move to survive pandemic lockdowns that halted global travel last year, many rental companies sold off their fleets for cash. Now Americans are ready to travel again, car rental services have been hard-pressed to rebuild their fleets with limited new vehicle inventory. Kathleen advises traveling Termites to secure their rental cars now to avoid disappointment. WHAT TO WATCH THIS WEEK: Kathleen recommends watching Season 1 of “Dirty John” on Netflix, which she thinks Connie Britton absolutely crushes in, and listen to the podcast “A Death in Cryptoland” 6-part podcast wherever you get podcasts. Pat and Bo talk tee ball today. It is that time of the season and with a swing and a miss last year since it was cancelled Bo is more than excited to be playing again. He loves to hit, as do most kids, and on defense he likes the pitcher mound. We will see, I see him as more of a catcher type. But that is just wishful thinking for dad.To send Alora, Bo, or Pat a questions or comment email at:Email --- beastmodekids201@gmail.comFollow Pat @ INSTAGRAM --- thepatrickdavy https://www.instagram.com/thepatrickdavy/FACEBOOK --- https://www.facebook.com/patrick.davy.39

A college town filled with history and natural attractions this quaint New England classic should be a destination.Playing some sort of organized baseball is a right of passage for most young boys in America. Little League or Tee-Ball are most common, in New England in the 1980's though there was something between those called Farm League. The Big Opening (0:35) Hey Rick/Hey Tim; quickly Tim is losing his mind about political ads (1:37) The entire goal here is to talk about politics, only gambling and not offend anyone (2:50) You can't bet on tee ball, how gambling on HS Track was the gateway gambling experience that turned Tim into a degenerate (4:06) The winning team is whomever has the most kids show up and yes the grand slam prop wins in every inning, and other flaws that make it very hard to gamble on tee ball (4:43) Real American Heros: Tee Ball Coaches (6:44) Superman vs Batman analogy for the Arizona Jr. Senator race between Astraunaut Mark Kelly and Ground Breaking Air Force Pilot Martha McSally (9:24) The current odds for Trump v Biden, Biden is fav both in offshore and UK markets, bigger fav in the UK markets (13:00) Using the state by state odds and a 5 cohort model on "Path to 270", Biden gets past 270 meaning the markets has Biden winning electoral college both in aggregate and in form (14:41) The biggest locks based on betting markets are in 5 states in which Trump is -10000 (North Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, Idaho, Oklahoma) while Biden's biggest locks are Maryland and Mass at -6600 (18:13) Tim is considering laying $2,000 to win $100 on Montana.... Jeremy Bhandari was born in Ashland, Massachusetts on June 19, 1996. Unlike the plurality of babies born in the 20th century, Jeremy wriggled into the world in his mother's bedroom, rather than a hospital. His rare arrival on Earth is ironically symbolic with his life story. Before dropping him off to preschool, Jeremy's mother would spread out the sports section in the Boston Globe for her son to examine while he ate his breakfast. Jeremy, at just 4-years-old, would study the MLB standings and league leaders. At this point, circa 2001, all the Massachusetts baseball fanatics obsessed over Pedro Martinez and Nomar Garciaparra, two stars on the Boston Red Sox. When it was time for Jeremy to select his favorite player for the back of his Tee Ball card, the calculated cherub demanded that Alex Rodriguez, a shortstop for the Texas Rangers, be labeled on his individualized square. While Jeremy probably couldn't locate Texas on a map, he knew that Rodriguez was leading the American League in home runs, so why not classify him as his front-runner? Jeremy's love for sports continued to maturate as he grew older. In elementary school, he started writing fictionalized stories of baseball games, where one team would always make an epic comeback in the late-innings. Fast forward to his junior year at UMass Amherst, and Jeremy was still scripting about sports. After handing in a paper on the relationship between spending and winning in the MLB, Jeremy decided to take writing more seriously. At 23-years-old, Jeremy signed a contract with Mango Publishing and wrote Trust The Grind, which reached #1 on Amazon’s Teen/YA Fitness & Exercise bestseller list, and was most notably endorsed by NBA legend, Jason Kidd. In addition, Trust The Grind was added to the list of Summer Reading options for the students at Ashland High School (Ashland, MA). Aside from writing, Jeremy puts a strong emphasis on physical fitness, and spreading love to all those around him. https://www.amazon.com/Trust-Grind-How-World-Class-Athletes/dp/1642502448 https://twitter.com/jeremythegrind https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeremybhandari/ --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/executiveathletes/support

Ephesians 1:1-14. If you read Paul talking about “to live is (by definition) Christ and to die is gain” and you ask “why,” well, Paul’s letters are filled with the answer. It’s right here. He has done all the work, Paul tells the Romans that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

Tee Ball may be the first experience young kids have in organized sports. All efforts should be made to make the tee ball experience a positive one so players will return to play baseball and softball. In addition to recommendations to make the tee ball experience better, Marty Schupak also gives a couple of off the field tips as well as a few drills from his latest book: T-Ball Drills. Marty Schupak shares his 25 year youth baseball coaching experience and how he critiqued himself every year to improve as a coach and as a parent.

He has creative hints for kids to bring their arms all the way back. Most important is the different ways kids develop and how to encourage kids and parents to stick with baseball and softball.

Lance Van Auken is probably the world’s foremost experts on the history of Little League Baseball. There’s only a handful of people who may know more, or as much, as Lance. He earned this honor by being a Little League volunteer, and employee, for most of his life. He shares this knowledge as the co-author of “Play Ball! The Story of Little League Baseball®." He attended his first Little League game as a baby in his mother's arms, as his father coached his four older brothers at Cross Bayou Little League in Seminole (now Largo), Florida. His family was devoted to Little League, and the field there is still named for his father, Robert Van Auken. His mother, Ruth, helped in the concession stand, helped by designing the program covers. His brothers, Joel, Harry, Danny and Calvin, were his role models, and he learned how to pitch and catch and hit, but more importantly, he learned the rules of Little League. Knowing those rules became significant and when he became too old to play ball, he umpired the game. On July 22, 1981, he became a father and his dream of becoming a manager of his son's team became a possibility. He managed or coached or supported his son, Lance II, through all levels of Little League, from Tee Ball to Big League, sharing his love of the game. His daughter, Sarah, attended games and helped her family as a volunteer, but playing baseball wasn't her hobby. A reader, an artist and a musician, she did perform with her school band at a Little League World Series. He had a chance to visit he Little League Baseball World Series in 1991, as a journalist, covering a Florida baseball team who made it through the Southern Region to the championship game. In 1992, he returned as an umpire, selected to participate in the series representing the Southern Region as a volunteer. He was smitten. The next year, he became an employee of Little League Baseball, working as an assistant director of the Southern Region, before joining the headquarters staff in Pennsylvania in 1996. He worked in the communications department for two decades, and had many adventures, including developing Tee Ball on the South Lawn, a program that placed Little Leaguers and their families at the White House, playing 28 games for President George W. Bush. Today, Lance is a vice president of Little League Baseball® and the executive director of the World of Little League Museum in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He, and his co-author (Robin Van Auken), are republishing their book “Play Ball! The Story of Little League Baseball®” with Wendy Dean Butler of The Omnibus Publishing, with a new chapter and an updated appendix. Fans of Little League Baseball can look for “Play Ball! The Story of Little League Baseball®” in the spring of 2018.

The Youth Baseball Edge Podcast with Rob Tong: Coaching | Drills | Strategy
If you're teaching tee ball kids, there's no nuance. It's all the absolute, bare bones basics. It's a good day if the kids can just throw the ball somewhere within three feet of you. Teaching tee ball requires extra patience, which is why making practice segments fun is so crucial—for both the kids' AND the coaches' sake. Marty Schupak returns in Part 2 of a two-part interview to discuss how to run practices for tee ball teams. Plus Justin Stone of EliteBaseball.TV answers the Question Of The Week about how to help structure practices for a 7U machine pitch team consisting of players of varying skill level.
