An intelligent talk with investor coach and author Brendan Magee. The problem, as he puts it, is this: “We are investing ourselves into the poorhouse. Without any understanding of how markets work, we hand our life savings over to people we will never meet, are completely in the dark about what is being done with our money, and have no idea whether or not what they are doing with it actually works. Poof! Our American Dream goes up in smoke. Sadly, we never see this tragedy unfolding until it is too late.” With his book, The Investor’s Bill of Rights: Owning Your American Dream, Magee hopes to prevent people from going down such a destructive path. He wants his clients, their families, and the world to experience the freedom, empowerment, confidence, and fulfillment that results from discovering how the markets actually work. The book can be summed up with this thoughtful excerpt from the book’s introduction: “In order to put the power and control back in your hands, you have to know what your rights are as an investor.” --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/aliveradio/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/aliveradio/support

Evelt Vertil is a life empowerment coach and public speaker who strives to bridge the gap between people and their greatness. Coming from a small village off of the Caribbean Island of Haiti, he often struggled with not being good enough with his own limitations, but now he is fully equipped to create new possibilities, happy to live a life of meaningful significance by helping others do the same. His journey started 22 years ago, while he was driving a shuttle bus to work at the Long Island hospital in New York. One morning, he overheard a broadcast by Les Brown on the WBLS radio station talking about coaching and public speaking. Immediately after hearing that he felt in him the very gift of which Les Brown spoke. Since then, he has invested nearly all of his time reading books in leadership and personal development. In the words of Henry David Thoreau, “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.” Accompanied by this quote was his greatest fear of not living up to the expectations of a meaningful life, as his life still felt disempowering despite all his accomplishments. With the help of his Master Coach, Mr. Evelt learned the art of Emotion Management, confronted his doubts in his own self through sheer confidence, became a Life Elevation Coach and the author of his own life. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/aliveradio/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/aliveradio/support

Love more... In a culture obsessed with measuring talent and ability, we often overlook the important role of Love. Love awakens us to new possibilities by allowing us to transcend our ordinary experiences and limitations. Love in Inspiration propels a person from apathy to possibility, and transforms the way we perceive our own capabilities. Inspiration may sometimes be overlooked because of its elusive nature. Its history of being treated as supernatural or divine hasn’t helped the situation. But as recent research shows, inspiration can be activated, captured, and manipulated, and it has a major effect on important life outcomes. Be inspired, empowered, through love. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/aliveradio/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/aliveradio/support

Hello everyone. As it appears, the human mind is not capable of not thinking, at least on the subconscious level. Our mind is always occupied by thoughts, whether we want to or not, and they influence our every action. You cannot stop thoughts. When we were still children, our thoughts seemed to be purely positive. Have you ever been around a 4-year old who doesn’t like a painting he or she drew? I haven’t. Kids get excited and proud of their art! As the years go by, we clutter our mind with doubts, fears and self-deprecating thoughts. Mind cleaning tools are important to keep balance. The power of positivity is important to build a garden in your mind, instead a land mine. Save yourSELF.
