Strategy is a highly overused word, and in my opinion, it isn't always a helpful one. It sounds complicated, inaccessible and a bit too clever! When you google the phrase Marketing Strategy you can get 927,000,000 results! I don't know about you but I do not have the time to go through all of those so how can we make it simple? In this episode I share how I have distilled down marketing strategy into the 5 step Marketing for Introverts model: Your Values What you do Who you do it for Your niche Your story From this simple process you can start to build marketing activities and an ongoing plan – and you can say no to the things that don't help you. Take a listen and if you want to explore this in more depth you can buy the book here https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CJKY81WD This book is definitely for you if you run a small business based on your knowledge and expertise and you don't like putting your face on your marketing. Based on the conversations I've had on the podcast, plus 25 years working in marketing as an introvert, I hope you find the advice and strategies enable you to market your business consistently and comfortably.
If you've heard me talk about finding time to create content, and how I found time to write my book, you'll have heard me talk about how difficult I found it to outsource anything in my business, but how finally working with a VA was a major step for me. So I was delighted to have a catch up with Charlotte, who is my VA, and talk about how that process works, which tools we use and how she helps her clients overcome the fear of outsourcing. If you are overwhelmed by paperwork, social media or anything else in your business maybe our conversation will help you take step to find the help you need to thrive. This episode is taken from my new book and I want to talk about the process of know, like and trust, especially if you are a service business owner. I talk about this a lot with my podcast guests and I often refer to it when talking about particular types of marketing – video for example or networking are great ways to build know, like and trust. It can be a frustrating process because it often takes time and sometimes in business we want everything to happen much quicker. In this episode I talk about why it can help reduce the risk for your potential clients and I share my most simple tip for building trust in your business. I've spent the last few weeks launching my new book. It has been exciting but also a little strange. I was working on the manuscript for the book over a period of about 2 years. Most of the writing was done on my own in my home office so it was a really solitary activity. After spending such a long time working on it, it feels a little odd to have it actually out in the world. Launching can be challenging! It's a time to get very visible and really put a lot of energy and focus into marketing myself and my ideas. In this episode I share my thoughts and lessons from running a launch campaign, from the mindset advice to the practical tips. You can buy the book here https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CJKY81WD This book is definitely for you if you run a small business based on your knowledge and expertise and you don't like putting your face on your marketing. Based on the conversations I've had on the podcast, plus 25 years working in marketing as an introvert, I hope you find the advice and strategies enable you to market your business consistently and comfortably.

I want to talk about celebrating success in your business because it's something I'm honestly not that great at. And I bet if I'm not good at it, maybe you aren't too. Because running a business can be really hard work, and if we don't stop to take a moment to say well done to ourselves, no one else is going to. In this episode I talk about what we can celebrate and how we might do it. From big new client wins to ditching a crappy client to achieving your purpose, what can you celebrate in your business? Content creation can be a very time consuming process. Whether you go for blog posts or video or podcasts or a lead magnet or fantastic story telling social media posts, it all takes time, and that's time away all the other responsibilities and hats that we wear as small business owners. So how do we find time to create our content. In this episode I share the tips that I have used to write my new book, Marketing for Introverts From repurposing, to carving out small chunks of time, to talking as if I was already an author, taking small steps and getting other people to keep me accountable, I know there are tips that you will find useful in your business. In this episode I spoke to certified self-belief coach Sophie Carefull, who works with introverted creatives. Sophie's background is as a branding photographer so I really wanted to understand how she moved from that to coaching and how she chose her business niche. It was a great opportunity to talk to her about the challenges introverts have with having their photo taken and gain some of her top tips – including choosing the right photographer that puts you at your ease. Sophie was upfront about the benefits of her niche, including the ways it has impacted on her marketing messages and how that has developed since she started her business. We also dived into the issue of self-belief, what it is, how it links to confidence and how to cultivate it in your business and your life. This was a really wide ranging conversation, I hope you find it interesting! I love content marketing! Content marketing is the umbrella term for things like blogs, videos, podcasts and social media posts. The long term aim is to get your ideal client interested in your business so they buy from you. For service businesses, it's a great tool to show your audience some of your expertise which helps set you apart from your competitors. But what should you create content about and what's the best format? This episode dives into both of those questions and gives you all the answers from a piece of major global research. From whether you should still have a blog to what are the best titles for your videos, I'll share with you what is working in content marketing in 2023. (Spoiler, I used one of the tips in naming this episode!) If you can't get enough of the details, you can access the Semrush Global Content Marketing report here: https://newsroom.semrush.com/news/global-report-semrush-reveals-content-marketings-six-biggest-trends-for-2023 If you want to know when the Marketing for Introverts book is released, I'd love to add you to the list – join the mailing list via my website www.bondfieldmarketing.co.uk You can also find links to all the resources and the podcast archive on my website, www.bondfieldmarketing.co.uk/podcast
In this episode I spoke to Business Psychologist Joanne Wharam, who specializes in culture, behaviour and motivation. We met at a networking group and the first time we spoke she said she liked working with introverts and we talked a lot about values, so I knew she'd be a great podcast guest. Maybe your values are things you take for granted, or they are something you haven't thought about before? But if you can identify them and act consistently on them, in my experience, your business will benefit significantly – and you will be happier running a business that is completely in tune with you as a person. Joanne and I discussed why values are important, we talked about ways to help you identify them and we talked about how we can run a successful business with our values front and centre. This is hugely important topic, so I hope you find it helpful. If you had searched online for the word introvert term 10 or 12 years ago the words shy, reclusive, antisocial and reserved would have been among your answers. The search would have definitely left the impression that introverts were somehow “less than”. The world has moved on a bit since then, but it can be easy to feel that you can't do something because you are an introvert. But in my opinion introversion is not an excuse. Many introverts are hugely successful in their chosen field, so why not you? In this episode I'll explore some of the strengths of introverts, find some motivation from 2 great writers on the subject and I hope give you the encouragement you need to achieve the next big thing in your business. In the last 2 years of hosting the Marketing for Introverts podcast I have had the pleasure of interviewing over 30 guests. They've included coaches, marketing consultants, experts and business owners. There's a whole lot of experience and expertise in those people, and I'm so grateful that they have agreed to share that expertise and tell their stories. This is a short episode to help you answer this question for your business. If the festive season isn't a big hook for your professional services business, you might want to stop posting between Christmas and New Year and have a break. But your clients are almost certainly online, shopping the sales or having 10 minutes to themselves away from family! Vicki Lovegrove has worked as a graphic designer for over 30 years after finding her passion for the subject as a teenager. A conversation with a client a few years ago made her realise that she could support clients in new ways and she retrained as a coach. Today she runs a successful coaching business that supports creative people. We talked about finding your focus and purpose and the power of giving yourself time to dream. Vicki is a big believer in defining that big exciting goal, and revisiting it from time to time. She described the unconscious mind like a spaniel – which was a lovely comparison and made me smile! Vicki was particularly interesting on the subject of resilience and how we can grow our personal resilience. She talked about collecting experiences that will help you build your resilience, including failures. Especially in the creative industries, we regularly get our creative ideas criticised, but that can make you a better creative. We had a very interesting conversation about the dangers of procrastination and perfectionism. Vicki was passionate about the importance of raising your energy so that you attract other high energy people and projects. The language we use when we talk to ourself is so important – our brains take it all in, so stay positive. Anita Popat is a social media strategist, who supports her introverted clients to show up on Instagram effectively. She believes that introversion is her superpower, and we had a great conversation about Instagram and how introvert service business owners can use it. Instagram has gone through a massive amount of change recently, and we talked a lot about the shift to short form video and the introduction of Reels. Not everyone wants to be dancing and lip syncing on Reels but Anita shared a lot of ways to use Reels as a service business. She is a big advocate for trying all the different aspects of Instagram and seeing what works. Use the data to see what works and ask your audience what they want to know about – Stories are good for gathering this information. She outlined the need to create different types of content to build awareness, explain who you are and how you work, and finally to sell your services. This is a solo episode prompted by something that happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It is also an issue that many of my guests have mentioned. The introvert hangover is the name given to that feeling when you have spent too much time in the company of other people. I talk about why we get that feeling, how we can recover and how we can look after ourselves and prevent it. When I started to explore how we get and recover from the introvert hangover, I found myself thinking about mental health for introvert business owners, so I talk about that too. It's an important conversation to have in our small businesses, and I raise a number of issues. But I am not an expert in mental health so if any of this episode rings uncomfortably true for you, please take some steps to learn more about your own situation and talk to someone who is an expert. This conversation is a little different from my usual interviews. Dan Edwards runs an accountancy practice, and we talked about what he does to market his business. He revealed a really comprehensive marketing strategy for both existing clients and prospects, and I was able to suggest a couple of areas for him to work on. We know each other through networking and that is a big part of Dan's new business strategy. We talked about the benefits of networking, both online and face to face, and the importance of building those relationships by turning up regularly. Referrals are also a successful tactic for him, and Dan has a planned process of asking his clients to recommend him in local Facebook groups. He is also super planned on Facebook – he gets a gold star for having helpful social media posts planned all the way to the end of next year! But like many introverts he struggles with how to be more visible on social media, so we talked about some ways for him to ease into that. Dan has a great system for keeping in touch with existing clients from a newsletter and WhatsApp, to direct mail. He even sends biscuits! This episode is a great insight into how much marketing you need to be doing to keep a regular flow of new business into your business, thank you Dan for sharing that with me! I had a great conversation with Fiona Minett of Boss your PR. We both worked in PR in our twenties, the difference being that Fiona was calling Vogue and I was doing live interviews about late running trains! Which is why she's exactly the right person to talk about why PR is such a great tool for your small business and how to get started. Fiona uses the pick and mix analogy to explain the range of opportunities that come under the banner of PR – talking to journalists is just one of the ways to promote your business. She does have some great tips for finding the right journalists for your business, and approaching them without having to resort to cold calling. We talked about the importance of your story and how you define that, particularly if it's something difficult or sensitive – or if you don't think you have a story. Through snippets and anecdotes you have the opportunity to decide how much or little to share, and make it work for you. This episode is full of great advice, I hope it leaves you with the confidence to get started using PR in your business. I'm pleased to launch series 4 of the Marketing for Introverts podcast. Throughout this series I will be talking about trying something new in your business marketing. And those of you who have listened to previous episodes will be saying “hang on a moment Jenny, I thought you were big on saying no to the bright and shiny things” –yes you are absolutely right, I regularly advise clients and podcast listeners to avoid jumping onto the next new thing in marketing. But I think every now and then you need to look at what you are doing in your business marketing and decide if it's giving you the results you need. You need to look at your ideal client profile and make sure that your marketing activity is still reaching those people. Businesses change, algorithms change and sometimes you just want to experiment with something new. Listen to the episode to find out what happened when I tried direct mail, and jumped onto TikTok! (hint, one was super successful and the jury is still out on the other!). I definitely learned some lessons about each tactic, so listen out for those, they may help you get started in both areas. Emma-Louise is an online business coach and strategist and host of The Ambitious Introvert podcast. After a successful career as long-haul cabin crew and as an air traffic controller she trained as a coach and set up her business just before lockdown. She now helps ambitious introverts create the strategy and mindset for massive success. Emma-Louise defines mindset as “the thoughts we have and how they serve us” so I was very keen to talk to her about the mindset challenges that introverts face around visibility. We discussed the point that as introverts we don't feel compelled to share every aspect of our lives and also we don't need the external validation – so getting more visible on social media, for example, can feel very “show offy!” We can also be very self-critical about how we look or sound, so if content is less than perfect we don't always want to share it. And how many of us worry that our former colleagues will see our content and judge us harshly? Emma-Louise shared some ways to think about visibility to help us take the steps we need to market our business, as well as some practical tips. She shared the power of accountability in her journey to get more visible and emphasised the need to take action, even if it is small steps to grow our comfort zone a little bit every day. In this episode I answer a call for help! This is a conversation I have sometimes when I first talk to new clients. It's rarely about a crisis, it's not that everything is falling to pieces but they often have a feeling that it's all a bit bleugh, and they need to fix it – but they honestly aren't quite sure of the problem so they aren't exactly sure how. This is the episode you need when you are feeling a bit fed up that you don't seem to be getting any results, that things aren't working, or you aren't making an impact. Maybe you feel you are doing all the marketing things and you just can't see the difference it makes. I'm going to ask you 4 questions to help you get back on track. While he works across many platforms for his clients, for his own business he focusses on long form content. Gus is a big advocate of using social media content to build the “know, like and trust” factor. We talked a lot about the changes on LinkedIn and why we are all showing more personality in our posts. We discussed the need for virtual water cooler moments and how to decide which bits of your personal life to share and what to keep private. Rob is an experienced creative director who set up his own agency, Tin Robot, in 2019. Firstly we talked about the changing world of work and the benefits for clients and teams when flexibility is built into the ways of working. Rob and I have both had a lot of conversations with clients about the difference between a brand and a logo over the last 20 years! So it was fun to unpack what is really meant by “brand”. Rob outlined a comprehensive 4 step process: detailed research on the market place and your place in it, your products and your audience defining your brand core including why you exist, your vision, how are you going to change the world, your values and promises the visual elements that make up the brand identity including logo, fonts, typography, photography style and tone of voice building your brand as it evolves and consistently asking if it resonates with your audience I asked Rob about when businesses need to rebrand, and he talked about the need to adapt to changing markets, to retell the story of the business or when your existing brand really isn't hitting the spot. If you have ever uttered the words “I don't need a brand, I've got a logo!” – this episode is for you. Books Rob recommended two books: Purple Cow by Seth Godin and Users not Customers by Aaron Shapiro You can go to the Marketing for Introverts Bookshop to see the full list of books recommended in this series Resources Find Rob on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/roblodge/ Or go to his website http://www.tinrobot.agency/ Need some marketing planning help this year? Before I invited her on the podcast, Natalie hadn't really considered that she was an introvert. However our conversation helped her realise that her preferred solo work style and her love of noise cancelling headphones indicate her introvert tendencies! Natalie outlined the benefits of email marketing, from its ease in getting started, to the impressive return on investment and the range of free tools that help you send professional email marketing campaigns. We talked about good ways to build a mailing list, from pop ups and QR codes to adding new clients and inviting personal connections. We also talked about the value exchange, offering valuable information such as a digital download in return for asking for an email address. Finally we covered the essentials of GDPR and where to go if you need more advice. “One thing is certain in business: you will make mistakes. When you are pushing the boundaries, mistakes are inevitable - how you react is important.” You learn far more from mistakes than successes – that can be quite a tough lesson to learn if you have built your career on doing things well, getting things right. Making a mistake in business can feel like a big personal failure and I think if you are a service business owner that brings a real worry about how other people are going to react and is it going to have impact on your business. So this week I wanted to uncover a few marketing mistakes, from a cringe moment of my own to the biggest marketing fiasco in history. Hopefully these will make you feel a little bit better about any mistakes of your own! I round up four mistakes that many clients fall into: 1 - forgetting your current clients 2 - making it too complicated 3 - chasing the bright and shiny things (there are so many!) 4 - being inconsistent in your marketing I'll explain why these are common and what you can do to stop yourself falling into the same traps. As a follow on from my episode marketing 25 years in PR and marketing with Wendy Harris I wanted to share some of the things I've learnt in that time. It's a short episode (I have bathroom fitters in this week so quiet time to record was at a premium!) packed full with top tips for small business owners including: Why you don't always need a plan to end up in the right place for you. Why you definitely need a tribe. And also a coach. Why you don't need to worry about the next bright shiny thing in marketing. And why you shouldn't put all your marketing eggs in one basket – but if you were panicking at the recent Facebook outage, you already know this! These are my thoughts on what you should do instead. I took a brave step and handed over the interviewer's seat for this episode to my good friend Wendy Harris, so she could ask me about my 25 years in PR and marketing! We talked about how the industry has changed massively, but how actually we are all still trying to achieve the same things we were in the 1990s. I revealed my favourite job of the last 25 years, why I love a client with a real purpose and why I never want to do a full-time job again. I also shared how I first knew I was an introvert and how a complete moment of self-doubt led me to want to create marketing for introverts. This week I'm re-sharing a conversation with you that I had in March 2020, with video expert Danielle Bayes of Videos Undifficulted. Live video is the perfect way to talk to your ideal clients, and most social media platforms have a way to do this. This week I'm re-sharing a conversation with you that I had in late May 2020, with super talented personal brand photographer Emily Moya. In my experience introverts really don't like putting their face on their business. I lose track of the number of clients I start working with where this is one of my observations on their website or social media – “You're an expert in your field, so where is your face?!” If this is you, listen to Emily's words of wisdom to help you get more comfortable with showing up as the face of your business. Pete Morgan is a hugely experienced radio broadcaster and producer, and set up MonkeyPants Productions to focus on podcast production 5 years ago. He is also the producer of the Marketing for Introverts podcast – and newly “out” as an introvert! Pete is passionate about the connection that great radio presenters build with their audience. Successful podcasters create that same connection and build a loyal tribe around a specific subject. We discussed the huge growth in podcasting during pandemic and the rise of celebrity podcast hosts. We also talked about the range of knowledge-based businesses that benefit from hosting a podcast, and about how a podcast should fit into your business marketing plan. Pete talked through the basics you need to get started, and shared his top tips for creating a successful podcast. Laura Robinson of Worditude is a conversion and copywriting coach for people who sell their expertise online. She explains how she was “outed” as an introvert in a corporate job at the start of her career. We discussed the importance of introverts getting our message right online – mainly that it saves us so much time and energy! The goal should be for the messages on your website can do the “heavy lifting” – so people are sold on working with you before they get on a sales call. If you narrow down what you do and who you love to work with in really clear messages, explaining the transformation you make for your clients, you are more likely to attract those ideal clients. Laura reveals the main mistakes that people make on their websites, including putting too many things on a website, leaving the customer to work out what they want. A great sales page should be really clear about what you offer and how people can work with you. We talked about blogging, Laura describes a blog as the library for your business, so all the good conversations from your social media become part of your website. And we talked about the voice Laura hears in her head when she goes to post on social media. If you sell your expertise online, you will find lots of wisdom in Laura's comments! Dr Ivan Misner is the founder and Chief Visionary Officer of BNI, the world's largest business networking organization. Founded in 1985 BNI now has over 10,000 chapters throughout the world. Last year alone, it generated more than $16.2 billion dollars' worth of business for its members. This was an amazing opportunity for me to go deep on the subject of networking! The idea often makes introverts shudder, but as great listeners and communicators we have exactly the right skills to create successful connections. The key is finding the right network and being prepared to take time to build relationships. Listen out as Ivan explains the importance of the VCP process – visibility, credibility and profitability. As the public face of an international business Ivan was also very helpful sharing his strategies around how to decompress after speaking and being interviewed, how to work a room and how to give an effective networking presentation. James Reader of Front Row Films is the ultimate social introvert. As a child his family wondered if he was deaf because he didn't engage with other children but these days he is the life and soul of his networking group, so I wanted to know how he achieves this. He explained how he can be friendly and chatty but he actually is very shy and has a number of strategies, including ensuring he has time to “decompress” after networking meetings. As a professional videographer he works regularly with people who hate being on camera, so we explored how to overcome those fears. Top tips include good lighting and lots of practice! The more you do something that takes you out of your comfort zone the more you get used to it. As James says, “with video, little and often is much better than producing Citizen Kane every 6 months!” With networking, he was originally terrified, and worrying he was going to pass out in the first meeting. But building relationships with people in the group has meant that no longer is he trying to impress the group, he's getting to know people so they can help each other's business. He's a big believer in networking by stealth, not talking about business at all and getting to know people personally first, so the business happens organically. James was fun to interview – he was also the first person to leave me slightly lost for words on my own podcast! In November 2020 Helen took her professional marketing skills and personal experience of anxiety and launched the Slowdown Collective, a business offering lovingly curated moments of calm in a gift box. We talked about her moment of inspiration for setting up the business and how she worked to launch in lockdown. We looked in detail at some of the tactics she has used to be successful – and why it's more fun doing marketing for your own business than for your corporate employer! I was really interested to find out how much Helen shared her personal story in her business marketing. She explained how difficult it was to talk initially about her experience and how she has taken gradual steps to share how she lives with anxiety. Helen was very open about the power that her authentic voice brings to her business, and how her honesty helps other people share their stories too. I spoke to Penny of Flat White Websites about why websites remain an essential business marketing tool. She believes passionately that websites should be at the heart of your business, and they ensure you stay in control of your own content. As an introvert, websites need planning and attention to detail and present your expertise in a way you are comfortable with – and they are always on, even when you need to recharge your own batteries. We talked about why your website is never done and why introverts need to get over the drive to hold off publishing until their site is perfect! We talked in detail about why you should put your face on your website, to improve your credibility and help potential customers get to know you. Penny really recommended investing in professional photography to create an image you are happy with. Penny and her business partner (and husband) Fred are very active on Instagram reels, so we spoke about their use of the platform, why it's a great community for them and why marketing should be fun. Do you spend time comparing yourself with other people – on social media and online - and feeling that they are somehow “better” than you? That they have it all together, their business is thriving and their life is great! In this episode Gabrielle and I explored that feeling that everyone else is doing better. We talked about what is really going on when we see a post on Instagram and it makes us feel bad. And we unpacked the story we tell ourselves that if someone else is doing well, then automatically we must be doing badly. Gabrielle had some great tactics for stopping those negative thoughts, and showing up on social mindfully and helpfully. We also talked about the benefits of comparing yourself to competitors. Not only can you get great inspiration from others, it's also a tool I use when I'm helping clients find their niche. In this episode Melissa and I dusted down a few introvert myths! We look at the common misconceptions that we are shy, anti-social, stuck up and hate people and public speaking. Melissa coaches high achieving introvert women, and she was able to unpick all of these statements. We also talked in detail about energy levels, including what drains us and how we can best manage our energy levels when we run a business. By being aware of when we find ourselves drained we can plan to use our energy effectively and set ourselves up for maximum success. We talked leaving events early (with a smile!), setting boundaries, managing our diaries and batching activities. We also discussed the impact of so much on screen working and working from home on our energy levels and asked if the last 12 months have actually been ideal working conditions for introverts. We finished with the importance of understanding your values and strengths and the agreement that when you know those things about yourself marketing your business becomes a lot easier. This is a solo episode in which I talk about fears that introverts have in marketing. When I'm talking to clients and podcast guests they often say things like “I don't want to put my face out there” or “I hate networking” or “I really struggle with live video”. These fears stop them from taking action that will move their business forward – for example showing their face will help potential clients get to know them. When we really pay attention to our marketing fears, I think they can be broken down into 4 areas: Fear of getting visible Fear of not being perfect Fear that what I have to say isn't important Fear of not being liked Working on the basis that we do need to market the business, how are we going to address some of these fears? Join me in this short episode as I go through each fear in turn and offer some practical advice and some mindset shifts that might help. These are all things I have struggled with myself and many of my tips are things I've done personally. Do let me know if you find them useful! Linda is an introvert and style consultant – and she's also a client of mine. I wanted to talk to her about the journey she has taken in her own marketing to become more comfortable with being visible. She spends her professional life helping her clients look and feel their very best, so we explored the link between what you wear and your confidence as an introvert. Accepting compliments can be a challenge, and Linda has some great tips. When we started working together she was finding it difficult to know what images to put on social media for her visual business. Putting herself in the spotlight – rather than her clients – was uncomfortable, even though she could see that she got better reactions on those Facebook posts. Working together we focussed on Linda's ideal clients, thought about subjects that they wanted to know about and helped plan her posts in advance. We discussed how much of your expertise to share for free in your social media posts. These days Linda is letting go of perfectionism, getting a high level of engagement and sharing her great advice on Facebook Lives. We talked about the process of gradually expanding our comfort zones – her elastic band analogy is just perfect! Andy has spent his career in public finance and has recently built a portfolio career as a consultant, advising organisations in the public sector on their finance and governance issues. We spoke initially about whether introverts were better suited to particular types of professions and if stereotypes are relevant and useful. We then talked about how Andy has moved from a career in senior in house roles to use his expertise to build his portfolio career. He outlined how he has become the trusted adviser in his sector, working firmly behind the scenes to help his clients succeed through some difficult challenges. He shared how he likes to get other people to shout about him, rather than doing it himself! The subject of values, and working in accordance with your values, comes up with every podcast guest, so I was particularly interested in learning how Andy's values align so completely with his portfolio of clients. Alex is a corporate marketer turned marketing coach. We had a great conversation about charisma. Starting with wondering what charisma actually is? Is it an indefinable X factor that makes an (extroverted) speaker appealing and engaging? If you are an introvert you might believe that if you don't have that you won't be successful. Or is charisma more subtle than that, is it something that an introverted speaker can employ to help them bond with their audience? Alex was keen to emphasise that introverts are very good communicators and the key to success is how you engage with an audience and communicate your authentic point of view. Understanding the audience, knowing what they want to hear and finding ways to make connections is at the heart of true charisma. We also discussed how we can do this in a digital environment when we are doing all of our business communications online. We talked about vulnerability, story-telling and being your authentic self in a rapidly evolving digital world.
