Welcome to the end of what was the beginning of my podcast experience as a business mentor. If you've caught an episode or two of our most recent episodes, I've talked about how I am retiring this podcast and launching a brand new podcast from scratch in January 2023.So, I wanted to have an official kind of retrospective episode. An episode reflecting and talking about all of the changes and nuances that come with creating a new podcast, and sharing some of my thought process around it.I have been putting this podcast out there for four and a half years. I started in the middle of 2018, so that's four and a half years. And I think for many of you listening, the idea of stopping an established and successful podcast seems like a terrifying leap of faith. But it is so exciting to me. There is so much I have learned and experienced as a business owner because of this podcast, and I am SO excited to take you on this journey of reflection at the end of the path of Online Business Building Mamas. This week, I will share and chat with you about the things I believe should be the staples in growing a stable and consistent business. To round out the year, and the end of this podcast, I wanted to bring back a crowd favorite as special guest, Breena, to the show to talk about lessons learned in 2022.I was telling Brenna, before we started recording, that we know our lessons, we learned them. Theoretically, some people might think you don't need to plan for a podcast where you're sharing and talking about lessons and experiences you've lived in your business, and how you grew from them. However, when we were reflecting, we realized that the lessons that we have learned are the same lessons over and over and over again. Just in different ways. But even though we've learned the lesson, it's always within a different context, a different circumstance. This week, we'll chat about how the lessons that we've learned this year haven't been mind- blowing, or an unlocked industry secret. Yet, they have been valuable and logical lessons that we are happy to share with you, the listeners! You'll learn:How when it comes to your business, there is no such thing as saying something too many timesWhy focusing on the thing that your clients/customers want, how is it actually the thing that they need, and how can deliver that to them, is how you will grow a businessHow it's ok to rebrand and redirect your business as you grow into a more specific niche or clientele that you would like to serveWhy having or building a team for your business doesn't necessarily mean that you are burnt out in your businessHaven't left a review yet? I thought it might be a fun end of year surprise to do a podcast that was semi-unstructured, unscripted, but still, organized in a very specific way. I wanted to have an Ask Samantha episode where I would hop on here and take questions that I've received from all of you who listen. However, I have not prepared any answers for them.Although I may not have answers prepared, I've looked through all of the questions. Kind of thought a little bit about what I wanted to say, but I don't have any notes or anything. So you know me, who knows what's gonna happen. In true Samantha style, I will go off on some rants, and tangents, but will always circle back to the bigger picture. On this week's episode, you will get to hear and learn a little bit more about me on a more personal level. You'll also get to experience both some insight, clarity, and maybe even a little tough love that you might be needing in both your business, your life as a mother, or all of the above. But regardless, I hope you find this both educational, entertaining, and relatable! You'll learn:How to revisit the idea of mindset work if you don't feel like it's working for you and your business goalsWhy consistent scheduling made all the difference in the growth of my businessHow my most impactful mindset shift early on in my career truly changed the whole forecast of my businessWhy it is beneficial to prepare yourself to handle difficult clients before they cross your pathHaven't left a review yet? Today we are talking about a very interesting topic to every business owner. If you are somebody who is growing a business, the number one thing on your mind when you're looking at a “big goal”, or really, any goal, is, how am I going to do that? This used to be a really big topic on my mind as well too, when I was in the first few months, and years of my business. Until I learned how to figure out the how. Now, I don't really have the same frenzied energy about wanting to know how. I know how to figure out how. I feel like it allows me to be so much calmer in my business, even when things aren't going the way that I want them to go.Especially near the beginning of your business, or before you have achieved some of your personal big goals, you may have this kind of sense that everyone else who has made a lot of money is keeping secrets from you.I get it. I feel like I used to feel this as well, and if this episode can convince you otherwise, then I feel like my work here is done.On this week's episode, we are going to dive into how to figure out the how, what that might look like for your business, and how that will lead you to success. You'll learn:Why failure is part of the process of how to run and maintain a successful businessHow working with a coach not only helps you to “fail better”, but to fail faster and to learn more from it to support your business in the futureHaven't left a review yet? This is something that I don't think I have ever really done a podcast episode about. Today, we are talking about business plans. Honestly, years ago, I used to feel people might feel a little negative about the idea of business plans.I think that the idea of a business plan has been there all along in the things that I teach, but I want to lean in even more to this topic this week. So first of all, business plans are something many businesses do. This is a very normal thing, especially if you're launching a brand new business.Anybody who's going to be giving you money, and investing in your services wants to see:“Is this a smart investment?”“What is the risk here versus the potential reward?”“How is the potential payoff?”“Can I expect growth from this?”“What kind of return on investment ROI can I expect on this?”A business plan helps them to get an idea of that, and how they will know how they feel about this potential investment. In addition, it's specifically, a plan on how you are going to make money. Focusing on how much you want to make, invest, the number of clients you need, what the offer is you plan on marketing, and how much you will charge for it. On this week's episode, we'll not only establish the idea of a business plan and how to formulate one, but the understanding that if you're starting a business, you are doing so with the intention of making money, and there is nothing wrong with wanting to do that! You'll learn:Why creating a foundation for your goals will help you to be better prepared for variables that you may run across in your launches. How not having a plan for your business, and hoping that it will just be successful, is both risky and ineffective. Why setting a business plan really helps you understand what is possible in your business.Featured on today's episode:Haven't left a review yet? I've been thinking a lot about how to support you on this topic. I know that it's brought up anxiety, uncertainty or just overall heaviness. So this week's topic is all about recession and economy talk, and what it means, if it means anything for your business.I personally feel that outside in the world there is just so much doom and gloom, stress, and anxiety. So you may not really have anybody in your life who is giving you different perspectives, different thoughts, and ways to think about it as an entrepreneur.Guess what? As a business owner, you are going to feel anxiety often. Regardless if the economy is going amazingly, even if things are booming, you can still have low periods in your business. You can still have anxiety even if things are going amazing in your business. It feels terrible, but it is a normal part of having a business. On this week's episode, we'll talk about how you need to have some awareness about how feelings that you have are not actual real situations that you have to deal with. More importantly, I will give you tangible ideas on how to effectively run a business through a recession. This is a real situation in the world, but the more facts you can have, and the less hype and hysteria you can feed it, the better. You'll learn:How to analyze and put into perspective the actual impact a recession would specifically have on your business. Why the key to thriving in a recession is responsiveness to the data of your business, and the needs of your potential customers. How differentiation during a recession is the key to success in a business.Haven't left a review yet? Creating a business from the ground up is truly such a crazy thing, isn't it? When we're growing a business, we have to have belief in things before we actually create them. There are SO many things that we are already programmed to do, without having to believe we can do them. Taking a shower, getting out of bed, etc. These are all things that we automatically do, almost like it is second nature. So HOW do we get there in our businesses? How do we make tasks, or things we do/accomplish in our businesses, become second nature? You need to get clear on what our goals are. You need to see it in your mind first, and then actually execute it in the real world. What it really comes down to, is that you need to have enough belief that you can. If you don't have any belief at all, then you won't take action towards it. Belief makes a big impact on if we're going to take action, and what the action's going to look like. But the actions that we take, matter just as much as putting in that belief that you can accomplish these things. Believe it or not, your brain is trying to push doubt on you, just as badly as you are trying to push belief into you. The more doubtful you are in your business, the less action you'll take, because your brain will think to itself, “what's the point?”This week, we're going to dive into specifically how your business will benefit from borrowing belief, and how it will lead you on the path to success in your business. You'll learn:How working with a coach will support the growth of belief in yourself, and your businessWhy connecting with a community with like-minded business owners will support your need for belief when you need itHow utilizing a community will allow you get clarity on your goals in your business, and put you on a path for successFeatured on today's episode:Haven't left a review yet? Today we are talking about something that I think is the most important thing when it comes to your business…Actually learning how to enjoy your business.Seems pretty crazy, right? How could you NOT enjoy something that YOU chose to create? Most people start their business because they weren't feeling fulfilled with the way they were living their lives. They weren't feeling like they were making the contribution they wanted to make.Another reason people decided to start their business was because they weren't feeling satisfied with their careers. There just was something more that they wanted. And for a lot of people, they had careers that weren't enjoyable. They had jobs that weren't enjoyable.Often I think that this can lead directly into building a business that's not enjoyable.Building up your business and turning it into something that is so similar to the thing you tried to escape, is just no fun. On this week's episode, we'll chat about what steps you should take so you can actually enjoy your business. But more importantly, learn to not feel so shitty all of the time when you're reflecting on how your business is doing. You'll learn:How to learn how to build in enjoyment in the process of working as a CEOWhy it's important to celebrate your business outside of just hitting financial goalsHow to get really specific in the areas of your business that are not fun for youWhy it's ok to give yourself permission to change things in your business Haven't left a review yet? Obviously, when any of us are creating an offer in our business, we want it to be profitable. We want to make money with it, we want it to work, and this episode is all about how to create an offer that is going to bring in a profit. So here is the thing that I want all of you to think about, as you think about your offers. There's two roads in front of you, and you've probably never thought about your offers in this way until now.Approach number one - what SO many people do.They choose an offer, and then they create the desire and demand for it. So what this looks like is you have some kind of experience, interest, or set of skills that you feel really confident in. It also could be some topic that you're really interested in, and you package that into an offer, and put it out into the world, and then you make people want it.The second option is noticing what people already want, and making that an offer. Seriously, so many people come up with these very elaborate programs and elaborate niches for these very niche situations, and make that into an offer, and put it out into the world and no one buys it. I'll tell you what, there's a lot in business that is not easy, but picking an offer that people want can be very easy if you just notice what people already want. This week, we are going to really get into creating profitable offers that not only people want, but that you feel confident in selling and backing. More importantly. We'll go over how these offers will be a positive impact on your business, instead of a detrimental one. You'll learn:How to keep your profit in mind, as it relates to revenue and cost of delivery of your offer. Why it's important to keep in mind how audience size relates to the appropriateness of your offer. How industry norms, personal value, and your experience contribute to the pricing of your offer. Why creating an irresistible, profitable offer for your ideal audience is super important.Haven't left a review yet? Ads have come a long way since the traditional face plastered on the side of a bus, or the billboard towering over the highway. But are ads REALLY that important to the success of your business? The short answer is yes, but there are SO many avenues that need to be considered when you're starting to think about running ads for your business. For one, most people assume that the ONLY place to run ads is on Facebook, or Instagram, when these two platforms are only the tip of the iceberg for potential platform ad reach. Now, WHERE you'll share your ads, and HOW you'll share them are all dependent on you, your business, and the audience you're trying to target. For example, Snapchat probably isn't the best platform to run ads if your target audience is 75 year olds. To be honest, you probably have people showing up on your preferred platform now that are potential future clients. However, you always want to be bringing in new people for the long term health and sustainability of your business. In this week's episode, we are talking about all of the things to evaluate and acknowledge when you're ready to consider running ads for your business. Regardless if you decide to run ads on your own, or work with an ads team,no matter what way you look at it, you're paying. You pay with time to grow it on your own, or you pay with a higher uptick in money to grow your audience if you use a team; it's just how it works.Audience growth is essential for making more money in your business, and I am here to help make it just a little bit easier to figure out. You'll learn:Where to spend time investing in ads for your businessHow to pay for ads in a budget-friendly wayWhere the best ad opportunity is for your businessHow to figure out how to run ads for yourselfHaven't left a review yet? This is a question that SO many Mamas have reached out to me about throughout the years. I think that there are so many places, people, and positions that business owners can hire support in, that it almost becomes overwhelming of where to actually start looking.Speaking from experience, the first hire you will probably make in your business is a virtual assistant. However, there are so many different areas of support in the virtual world space, that I think it's important to quickly touch upon the specific roles you can hire for your business. An OBM, (Online Business Manager), or a COO, (Chief Operating Officer), will have a more strategic expertise. They're going to create systems for you, get you organized, and really help with all of the foundations and new implementations in your business. Meanwhile, a virtual assistant will take a system or process you already have in place, and help check boxes off of your to-do list. They are going to take administrative tasks away from you, and help you free up time so you can really focus on the parts of your business that will move it forward. In this episode, we are going to dive into my personal opinion about when you should hire a virtual assistant for your business, as well as the things you need to have in place as a CEO before you bring someone on to your team. You'll learn:How to decide when bringing on a virtual assistant is a beneficial and financial decision for your business. Why learning about your “Zone of Genius” and your “CEO Time Activities” might lead you to the realization that you need outside supportHow to delegate tasks both correctly and effectively so both you and your virtual assistant know their roles and responsibilities in your business Haven't left a review yet? This episode is going to be a bit contradicting to some things I have posted in the past. If you've been here for a while, you might remember me talking about how your business might not need an email list. While I don't disagree with that, I want to clarify whom that statement is meant for. If you are brand new to starting a business, you don't need to stress out about growing an email list. Your main focus in the beginning of your business is worrying about landing your first few sales, and bringing in some income. However, if you are an established business owner, this does not apply to you. If you already have those few sales under your belt, then it is really time to start taking growing an email list more seriously. Believe it or not, the majority of my sales are coming from emails. So, let me be clear on this:Even if you don't feel like you don't read a lot of emails that are sent to you, there are some people that LOVE to read emails. You are going to have some people that actually are interested in things you have to offer, BECAUSE you are showing up in their inbox. So, don't be in this place where you think emails are dead, gone, and thinking that no one looks at email. People are looking at email, don't discount it!This week's episode is all about the things every business owner needs to know about email, and more importantly, wants to know about how to leverage and grow their email list. You'll learn:Why growing an email list is so important to longevity in your businessHow an Opt-in will be the thing that builds trust in your current and future clientsWhy relationship maintenance is the reason customers continue to come back for moreHow your business will talk to you and tell you what works, if you just listen Featured on today's episode:Haven't left a review yet? Recently, I have been chatting with many of my friends that have reached either a million dollars, once or multiple times in their businesses. We've really been reflecting on:-What are the things we think everyone knows when it comes to making money, but maybe they don't know about? So many people believe, “If I work hard, and hire the right coach, I will arrive at a million dollars. Then, the hard work is done, and I will know how to do a business, and everything after that is easy.”That is just not true, my friends. You have to be willing to do whatever you need to do to make success happen, it's just not an option to fail. Your mindset needs to be in a “getting shit done” mode, and erase the idea of perfectionism from your brain.Lastly, you need 7 essential habits that are not only simple to follow, but if implemented consistently, will help lead you to success. I am SO excited for this week's episode you guys, and I apologize in advance for getting a little passionate this week! But this is a topic that really burns a fire inside of me. This episode has been a LONG time coming. Honestly, I know that SO many, if not all of you, are capable of implementing these tools and creating a successful business! In this week's episode, I am going to break down for you the 7 essential habits that I believe will lead you to success in your business. These habits are not just something I pulled out of thin air, but something all of my friends with the same kind of success in their businesses have done, and continue to still do to be successful. You'll learn:Why your mindset, as well as your physical and emotional state cannot only lead you to success, but steer you away from itHow utilizing your money in the correct investments, and tracking your spending and income will make you more aware of how successful your business isWhy having a vision, and not being afraid to experiment will be the bread and butter to unlocking the true potential of your businessFeatured on today's episode:Haven't left a review yet? The other day, I overheard someone say, “Moms use kids as an excuse to not have a business. To not take action, and to not move their businesses forward.” And, as you can probably imagine, this just didn't sit well with me.Moms can, in fact, build a business, in all different phases and seasons of their life. Not only that, but motherhood and entrepreneurship can and should look different to each individualized entrepreneur..We tend to look at people who don't have babies and don't have kids, see their progression, and think this is the progression we should have in our business.Which is why I wanted to take this opportunity to bring in a small group of guest speakers to share their stories on this subject. In this week's episode, I am speaking with 4 incredible mothers, and entrepreneurs. All of these women are in different seasons of motherhood, but have found ways to make their business work for them and the needs of their families specifically. We think this is the normal “hum-drum”, that these are things that we normally do, and that being a mother and wanting to build a business isn't a big deal. But it REALLY is such a big deal. If there is one takeaway I want you to leave with after today's session, it's this:There isn't a rush, you don't have something to prove to anyone. Focus on what is the one thing(s) you want, and let's make that happen. You'll learn:How to identify the lowest barometer of success for you when you are feeling overwhelmed. Why giving yourself grace as a mother, a business owner, and a combination of the two, is truly the secret to feeling positive about the growth in your businessHow being in tune with yourself, in every aspect, is not selfish, but necessary to build a business in motherhoodWhy there are benefits to looking for support outside of just you and your spouse when it comes to your businessFeatured on today's episode:Have you been thinking about building a business online, but have no idea where to start to get your business off the ground? If you're someone that is thinking about starting a business, and you haven't actually “started” yet, chances are there is something that is paralyzing you from actually starting.A lot of times, people are stuck in the fear of actually starting, because they're afraid they'll take the first wrong steps, or they're afraid they'll make mistakes and have to apologize for them later. Other times, like in my case, they're wasting their time on things that don't really matter when they're starting up their business. Take websites for example. So many people think they NEED a website when they start a business. However, websites need foot traffic. There isn't a street in front of your website that people are driving by on a road. It's in an alley with trees blocking it. We don't want to build our businesses on rare circumstances happening to us. We want to set our business up for success in the best way we can. In business, there are a lot of things that aren't simple. There are things that are complicated, intricate, and things that depend on a lot of factors. So many people use the fear of “starting a business” as the reason to NOT actually ever start. But starting a business doesn't have to be scary or intimidating, it can actually be really simple. The goal of today's episode is for you to start taking steps, making moves, and begin taking action. This week, we are diving into the nitty gritty of what you ACTUALLY need to start an online business. I am going to uncover, and share 5 simple steps to help you get your business up and running, and stop making excuses as to why you can't actually “start”. I'm hoping that these 5 simple steps will give a picture of what it looks like to start a business, and get you into an action, instead of just thinking about it. You'll learn:How to be confident in the business that you're talking about, (and for more information on this, make sure you check out Episode #237!)Why the things you think are “important” to your business, are actually the things that don't matter the most. Why you need to focus on more technical and tactical things in your business, to ensure the longevity and success of your businessFeatured on today's episode:Have you been thinking about building a business online, but have no idea where to start to get your business off the ground? I am going to share something that might be an unpopular opinion to some.I know there are so many moms that feel so fulfilled at home, being with their children full-time, and immersing themselves in motherhood. And while that is so great for those moms, that just wasn't my story. Staying at home, and pouring myself solely into motherhood just didn't fulfill me. It made me a little (ok, alot). stir-crazy, and I really wanted to put my brain and energy into something that was going to also bring in career fulfillment, and money to help support my family. Our financial situation wasn't the greatest, and even with all of my degrees and experience, I still couldn't find a position that would cover the cost of daycare, let alone bring in an extra income.I had seen many life and business coaches on social media before, and honestly only viewed these people as public figures. I never imagined that I could compare myself to someone like Marie Forleo because I had no idea HOW she got to where she was, and where to even begin something like that.I knew I wanted to help other mothers to do the same thing. It came from that feeling that I had of just, “what is the through line” for me, and how can I help other moms to see their own. So many mothers are thinking, “I have all of these experiences, all of these skills, all of this knowledge. Now I am sitting here at home, and I have no idea where to go career wise, and I need to figure it out.” I have created this whole movement out of these moments of pain of like, “how do I do this”This week, I walk you through some options when it comes to starting, or restarting a business. I know some of you are still in that place of not really feeling satisfied with your choice in business, or more importantly, haven't taken those necessary steps to move your business forward. You'll learn:How an online service business and product-based business differ, and the pros and cons that come with both. Why you might be selling yourself short in your options of online business opportunities because of how you diminish your experiences. How you can categorize your options for starting a business into different pockets of niched-down services. Are you the kind of business owner that plays the, “look at them” game with yourself? You know, the game where instead of putting your time and effort into things that might actually move your business forward, you scroll on social media for hours, stalking and comparing yourself to every single person in your niche. Then, you sit there and say:“Look at them, I could never have a business like them.”When really, what you should be saying is, “Look at them. There's no reason I can't be as successful as them. I just need to start taking action to get there.”This week, I am bringing it back to when I had my first $1k month. To be honest, it was around the time that I had just made $40 in ONE year. Yes, you read that right. And I remember saying to myself, “if I could bring in $200-$500 a month, that would be SO life changing.” Once I finally had that month, it was, in fact, so life changing, and I know for many that are reading this, you might share the same story as mine, that it WOULD be life changing to bring in that much extra income monthly. It was that month, that first BIG win, that really made me feel like I could have a $1k month. When it finally happened, THAT was the turning point in my business for me, and I want to help you do the same. Let's have some wild dreams, and let's figure out how to create them together.I also want to take a moment to acknowledge those of you that are reading this, or might tune in to this episode, that might not be making money yet in your business, or might not be having $1k months yet, or better yet, making low 4 figure months. Reaching those first few wins for me in my business were MORE meaningful for me than goals I hit now, because those were the wins that created the belief. Those wins will let you know and allow you to feel that this business is REAL, which makes them such precious wins. You'll learn:Why investing in coaching early on in your business is one of the best investments you could possibly make. How creating connections with people, both in-person and online, will drastically improve your success rate in your business. How the word “no” isn't a failure in your business, but a way to obtain measurable results for future success. I want you to think about the last time you were scrolling through social media, and came across a business coach talking about something NOT working in their business. I would say probably once, if that, am I right? And WHY is that? This Is a real and normal experience that every kind of business owner has faced at least once in their lifetime. You don't hear a lot of people speaking about this, and there is almost this unspoken vibe that noone should be speaking about failure, and only talking about, and highlighting, the positive in their story. When you're in business, and you're doing all of the things that you should be doing, and it's just not coming together, something isn't clicking, here's what happens. You instantly question everything you believe:“Maybe I am not funny enough.”“I am too introverted for this.”“My content isn't relatable.”And after you've questioned and dissected every single part of your business, what do you do next? You go back to social media, and scroll over accounts you idolize, and your brain validates all of the questions you've just created. Here's the truth though:You don't have to be different from who you are to be successful, but your brain is going to offer it as an answer. The things that your brain sees, the things that are stopping you from moving forward in your business, are not really the things that aren't making you successful. On this week's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I talk about some hard hitting truths and facts about failure when it comes to owning a business. We will work together to not only identify solutions on how to move forward from failure, but learn from these events, and come out stronger because of them in our business. You'll learn:How to look at data in your business, and to pinpoint the things not working. Why implementing an effective plan is an important piece to your success. How being true to yourself, reflecting on your business, and asking hard-hitting questions might bring you the clarity you're looking for.Haven't left a review yet? Remember that iconic scene in The Lion King, where Rafiki whacks Simba over the head with his walking stick? Rafiki says to Simba, “You can't be upset about it, because it is in the past.” And while this scene, and the famous Hakuna Matata song share some more lax insights on leaving your trouble and worries behind, they failed to create a song about the long-term strain of all of this to our Nervous System.Today's episode I am talking with Erica Hanlon, a certified coach and general life coach, specializing in working with people with Type A personalities. We are going to dive into all about the super hot and trendy topic, trauma response. We'll talk about how trauma doesn't live in the circumstance or the event, it lives in your nervous system. We'll also talk about how this is all connected to Thoughtwork; How our thoughts are a reflection of what our nervous system state is, and why people started to see there might have been limitations with only doing thoughtwork, and the benefits of learning more about the Nervous System. You'll learn:What is the Autonomic Nervous System, and how that relates to your everyday life. How the “Window of Tolerance” relates to your Nervous System, and the way you think about your businessWhy desire to feel safe in your business can control how and when your business growsWhy learning how to regulate your own Nervous System is not only beneficial for you, but current and future clientsClick HERE to learn more about Erica!Haven't left a review yet? Today's episode is all about differentiation. In other words, when it comes down to it, differentiation in business happens when you start working with more people and attracting more people into your world. Dare to be different. You have to cut out this mentality of not being “unique” enough in your business. Women especially have been brought up to think we have to blend in and not stand out. This way of thinking is trash! On today's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast I talk all about differentiating yourself from the world and getting to where you want in your business. It's the best way to stand out, to position yourself, and to attract your best people to you. I emphasize the importance of understanding who you are, why you started your business in the first place, and cutting out self micromanagement. Yes, believe it or not, this is a thing. You'll learn:How important it is to build your business the way YOU want to build it. Why differentiation is one of the key outcomes when it comes to scaling your business. How even with the best coaches/leaders in the game it is still so important to stay true to yourself, your beliefs and values as opposed to leaning into their direction 100% of the time. Why you absolutely must let them (your market) see more of who you are in your business and why this will lead to success. At the April 2022 Simple Scaling Mastermind event one of my clients said that she was ready to start playing BIG. This inspired me to restructure my mastermind - to create space for 90 Day leaps in your business to get you playing in the big leagues. If you think you're playing small or that there's a hierarchy where you are “lower than other people ''... you need to scratch this mentality. Playing BIG is not having a hierarchy, but rather seeing yourself as a peer. Coaching that is useful is coaching that makes you feel good, inspires you and motivates you. It is coaching that pushes you to DO THINGS, regardless if the thing is scary. Is coaching really serving you if it only shuts you down or makes you feel bad?If you know you've been playing small or you've avoided the thoughts or ideas that make you feel exhilarated, I challenge you in this episode to get out of the box and take the next steps. On today's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I'm talking about what it actually looks like to play big or small, and how to nurture that in yourself. You'll learn:Why useful coaching would never shut you down but rather motivate you to take action. How tough coaching is okay as long as it empowers you. Why coaching is all about your personal experience and how you feel in your business. How rules are only opinions and how we shouldn't latch on to rules or use coaching as an excuse to play small. People are willing to hustle and follow someone else's rules and ideas to get to a certain place, and it totally works - but then they realize that what they've built is something they don't even want. Early in our businesses, we think that money is the solution. And money IS a solution. It solves a lot of problems. But if more money is the only thing you focus on, the sacrifices you'll make to get there aren't sacrifices you'll want to keep making. But they'll be sacrifices that are built into the structure of your business… so either you keep making them, or your team does, but either way, someone's burning out.As we all know, the term “burnout” is popping up left, right and center. If you're not feeling the passion anymore or have been struggling to keep motivated in your business, you too might fall into the burnout pipeline if you don't take action soon. The way I've built my business over the years, often breaking “rules” from well known experts and even my own mentors, has led me to have a consistent 7 figure a year business, working part time, with both me and my team thriving! On today's episode I talk about the business you WANT to have in order to find your happiness and success. Less people are in tune with their emotions, and more people are doing work they don't like doing. Having passion for what you do is so extremely important, and it's a red flag when you begin feeling like the passion in your business is dwindling. You'll learn:How important it is to build your business the way YOU want to build it. Why asking yourself where you want to go and how you want to get there is extremely important in carving out your journey. Why the overall vision is crucial to your success and finding time to visualize is key. Why it's so crucial to tap into the biggest version of yourself. I'm going to tell you a little secret...There are no real rules in running your business. You might be shaking your head right now. It comes as a shock to my clients when they come to me with rules and I fill them in on the secret that there AREN'T any real rules…For a lot of us, we've absorbed a lot of rules about how business needs to be, or how we have to act. On today's episode of Online Business Building Mamas, I dive into why you need to start trusting yourself and your own decisions. When you follow any kind of made up rule it actually opens up the concept that someone else is the CEO of your business- you remove yourself from having control when we hold fast to other people's opinions. This episode is part of a series of themed episodes leading up to the launch for the next round of Simple Scaling Mastermind. These future episodes really cater to the philosophy of Simple Scaling Mastermind and what it looks like now as I've been making some changes... and I am very excited to share them with you! You'll learn:Why shaking loose from the hamster wheel of desired perfectionism is key to success. How you don't actually have to earn any rights to progress in your business or make risky decisions. Why one-on-one coaching might not be the best way to monetize your following. How best practices might be “best” for some people, but not others, and why self-authority is pivotal in your journey to success. How do you feel when you look at photos of yourself? What comes up for you? What are your feelings, what are your thoughts? I know, for a lot of you, you look at it and pick out all of the things you don't like. Now think about what is the difference between how you see photos of yourself and photos of the people you love? I'm sure we all look at our loved ones' photos and see all the things we love about them - opposite of what we do to ourselves. I think we can all relate to this, that when you look at photos of yourself, it's so easy to ignore any of the things you could love. Why do we do this? I am extremely passionate about helping women succeed and feel like their life has been well spent on things they truly value… and I see body image BS as an epic distraction from our purpose and potential in life. We are on this earth for a limited time, and time spent hating how we look is time wasted… when we could be feeling good, having fun, making an impact, being with loved ones feeling loved, and all the other stuff we truly care about! On this week's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I am going to explain my thoughts about photos of myself to you - and then give you some extremely powerful tools for shifting the way you see and think about your body. Make sure to tag me on Instagram @samanthahms when posting pictures of yourself so we can all celebrate the steps you're taking towards having a deeper, more loving and accepting relationship with yourself. You'll learn: Why the work you do on your relationship with yourself is the thing that makes the biggest difference in your success The value of putting out content that reflects your real self How to shift your brain and allow yourself to think differently when looking at photos of yourself The importance of looking in the mirror and focusing on the things you love about yourself Featured on today's episode: Click HERE to purchase your tickets to UNLOCKED - A 2 Day Live Coaching Event in Denver Colorado, September 8th and 9th, 2022. A lot of you think there is some magical shift that will change everything for you… Sorry to break it to you, but there is no such thing. I am here today to tell you that you can stop the chase. You can stop feeling inadequate. You can stop feeling like you're missing out on something major if you haven't had your “ahaaa” moment. Stop exhausting yourself by running a race that doesn't even exist! Stop seeking some made up universal moment of clarity. The magic movie moment where the damsel in distress finally “figures it out”, where things finally come together... where we find pure bliss and happiness. You must scratch this mentality. On today's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I'm talking about neuroplasticity - aka our brain's ability to change. I talk high level about how this works, and how you can use this concept to rewire your brain to create more success in your business. Also, I kick off the 90 Day Challenge 2.0, which starts July 1 in Mama to CEO, walking you through exactly what we are doing and how you can use it to reprogram your brain for success and make business growth inevitable over the next 90 days. If you want to be a part of the 90 Day Challenge 2.0, reach out to samantha@samanthasiffring.com to join Mama to CEO, even though doors are closed! You'll learn: Why neuroplasticity is so interesting and important to take into terms when facing challenges in business. Why success doesn't just evolve overnight, and how it takes a lot of repetition, habit building and consistency to pave the way to success. Why 90 days of hard work and dedication is a good start for success.. but it could actually take much longer to witness a shift or momentum in your business - everyone is different! How patience in your journey is key, but how even through the waiting, you'll notice slow progress in your business. I'm going to be straight up with you… There is a culture of faking success in the online business world. The pictures of the private jets, the lamborghinis, the Jeff Bazos of the world! A lot of these people try to come off as more successful than they really are. This causes undue pressure on ourselves and can actually impact the way we show up in your business, or in life in general. For those of you who value honesty and integrity, but feel like people will not hire you or respect you unless you are more successful - this episode is for you. A lot of you are people pleasers and have the mentality that you can't help people that are more successful than you. Throw that opinion in the trash right now! Bottom line, if you encompass the mentality that you aren't good enough to help someone, then this discourages you from being successful. Instead of spending a lot of time thinking about why you aren't good enough, you must ask yourself why you think YOU ARE good enough? You picked your business for a reason, so I ask you to dig deep and lean into this! You'll learn: Why giving up anything that feels heavy or tight in your body is helpful. Today I have my bestie and extremely accomplished coach, Kristen Boss on the podcast. Her and I share a lot of the same beliefs in business and marketing, and today we unlock several core areas where we see people not having the success that they absolutely could have in their business. Kristen and I have made 12 million between both of our businesses in the last two and a half years. Run, don't walk, to get your headphones on and press that play button. I am also thrilled to share that a big reason for this episode is our “unlocking” or unveiling of an upcoming event later this year. We finally spilled the beans about our live event, UNLOCKED at the Four Seasons in Denver, Colorado. The event will encompass a mix of teaching and intensive coaching- an opportunity not only to spend time with us, but plant yourself in a room with other people who are doing amazing things. Our clients have been hinting and joking about why we need to collaborate.. and although it took us awhile, we're finally here. We're doing it, the magic is happening, and my word, it's amazing. Kristen and I so badly want to help people, and we 100% plan on spilling all the tea at our event. We'll speak about identity, how to create an irresistible offer, aligning your audience growth strategy and speak to all of the important questions you must start asking yourself. It's happening September 8th-9th! You do not want to miss this! Click HERE to purchase your tickets to UNLOCKED.
FACT: Giving up all of the things can actually make you miserable. If this is the price you have to pay to make 6 or 7 figures, then what's the point? I encourage you to think and ask yourself some really important questions in hopes of upgrading the relationship with yourself, and having more trust in yourself! A lot of you have a lengthy list of action items to be successful- change your diet, drink more water, cut out alcohol, wake up early… take cold showers… be regimented in your schedule. Low key, for most of you, all of these things might not contribute to who you are at the core. This concept can be very distracting, and here's your gentle reminder that you DON'T get paid to do these things!! Seriously.. cutting out sugar? FACT: Nobody is showing up and giving you one million dollars if you cut out sugar! You don't have to give up what you love and enjoy to be successful. And you don't have to fundamentally change who you are either. On this week's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I am talking about what you do - and don't - have to give up to succeed. You'll learn: Why giving up anything that feels heavy or tight in your body is helpful. Why giving up skepticism is crucial in your journey to success. How building a successful business while not being burnt out stems from developing a good relationship with yourself. How it is SO powerful to surround yourself with people who are thinking in a more positive way about themselves, and how this in turn affects the way you think. Why giving up your aversion to failure is one of the keys to success. Interested in Mama to CEO? Learn more HERE! Looking to scale your business? Learn more about the Simple Scaling Mastermind HERE! This week on the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I chat with Kristin LaFontaine, one of the program coaches in Mama to CEO and Simple Scaling Mastermind. Recently we have both noticed a theme come up in our work with clients: feminine conditioning. Essentially… as women, we've received strong messages about how we are supposed to be in the world, and all of that can interfere with what we want and need to do to grow our businesses. We are evolving as women, yet it's so easy to fall back into the perfectionist trap, and we desperately need to get away from this- for the sake of our future. It's okay to be messy, and it's okay if you don't have it all together. YOU are in control of your messy life. YOU get to choose whether you've made it. YOU get to drop the definition of what “perfection” means to you. On today's episode of the Online Business Building Mama's podcast, we dig into what feminine conditioning looks like, how it shows up, how we have both worked through it… and so much more. You'll learn: Why lowering your standards and keeping it simple are both secrets to success. How the message of being a good woman or mom is actually putting yourself last… and why it's detrimental. How the idea of being broken is trash and why we need to get rid of this mentality. How those that are the most successful take pride in at least one thing they do every day. Why focusing on what is working and the things that are worth celebrating is so important. Why the more we are okay with showing up differently gives way to how we change our journey and path for the future, ultimately shifting culture and society for not only ourselves but for the generations to come. Learn more about Kristin: Kristin LaFontaine is a Life Coach School certified life and business coach. Ten years ago she co-founded a private school with her husband. That local small business has grown into three separate businesses with multiple locations. The businesses now serve over 350 local families and employ over 100 staff. Kristin has worn many hats including website designer, bookkeeper, customer service, teacher, marketing, administrator and program director, leadership coach and more. You can reach Kristin here. Here's what I'm noticing and I can't stay quiet about it any more. You are doing too many disclaimers before you speak. You discount your expertise. Your work. Your skills. Your personality. We need to throw this in the trash. Imposter syndrome, low self worth or confidence, and self-deprecation are intertwined, and are all hot topics in business these days. The point of this is not to make you feel bad, lecture you, or judge you, but ultimately I want to talk about self deprecation to bring awareness to those who do it on the regular, because these negative beliefs about yourself are uncool! I know it's not a fun and fluffy topic to discuss but it's so very prominent in society and amongst highly intelligent business professionals especially women. I know so many extremely smart, strong, wonderful people who bring themselves down, are so worried about taking up space, and that discredit their efforts on the regular. It can actually be quite heartbreaking to watch… and it's a goal of mine for me to help you kick this mentality! I want you to take this podcast and leave feeling amazing, confident, and with more belief in yourself to show up in the world bigger and as the fullest and best version of yourself. You'll learn: Why it's important to entertain self awareness amidst judging yourself and why it's such a big step in squashing self-deprecation all together. How self-deprecating humour is actually counterproductive on your journey to success. Why being curious is important when navigating a harsh sense of self. Why I never entertain my clients, friends or social circle when people are being self deprecating. Featured on today's episode: Haven't left a review yet? All you have to do is head HERE. Do you know the easiest way to grow your business? It's having people who are already a yes, when they reach out to you. When you put out so much value into the world, that value does the selling for you. Rather than overthink “selling”, we must trust in the process if you're putting authentic value into your business. When potential clients approach you with the preconceived mentality they're signing up regardless of how the introduction call goes, then they're already sold. Join me today as I'm talking to you about creating clients who are pre-sold and how to do it. It's really been one of the biggest keys to my success, and it's something that you can all do too. You'll learn: Why being yourself in marketing and owning the fact you are skilled in your expertise will allow you to attract the clients you really want - They'll see the version of you that should be put out into the world. How as women, we present ourselves as who we think other people in our lives want us to be, and why this leads to boring marketing that isn't valuable. Why tapping in and asking yourself who the real YOU is will unleash the magic! Featured on this episode: Haven't left a review yet? All you have to do is head HERE. Interested in Mama to CEO? Have you ever thought about gauging fear vs. intuition? The two can most certainly get convoluted. How do you know if the “fearful” feeling you get is an intuitive sign that you might not want to do something or if it's simply the discomfort of the unknown? Sometimes business can be scary, or hard. But when we preach the narrative that it has to be, I think it sets a lot of us up for more failure than necessary. Things that are worth doing in your business don't need to be as hard as you make them out to be. You don't need to feel uncomfortable or jump through hoops in order to feel like you're on the right track. I encourage you to take on a different perspective when approaching your business. Embrace curiosity and start asking yourself the right questions. Why do you feel a certain way in your business or why does something feel “heavy”? On today's episode of Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I'm talking about how to tap into YOUR intuition to know… is this some fear of the unknown where I just need to find some courage? Or… is this my intuition telling me no? Your business journey can be easy and enjoyable, trust me! If it feels heavy or treacherous for you, let's talk, because I want to help you find the light and ease in business that is 100% achievable. You'll learn: Why the best coaching is the coaching that isn't opinionated, but it's the coaching that puts you more in tune with who you are as a person. That when your business feels “too easy”, this isn't a bad thing, and this could very well be a sign that your business is on the right track. Why focusing on what is working in your business will ultimately drive you to success. Haven't left a review yet? All you have to do is head HERE. Recently my client Shannon Brome-Ward opened up to our mastermind with her thoughts about visibly making money as a Black woman, and how scary and unsafe that is. I've been thinking about her words ever since, and it's a perspective I wanted to bring to you as well… because this is a topic I cannot speak to - but I think you need to hear. On today's empowering episode I've brought on Money Mindset coach Shannon Brome-Ward in place of myself to give her the space and voice to speak her truth when it comes to making money in business. She believes that changing your relationship with money is the key to creating more money. Which in turn provides you with a ton of options in life. However, this podcast isn't so much about her business per se, but about how she got the courage to speak her truth as a successful black female entrepreneur. Listen as she takes the mic today in hopes of spreading awareness to those who have struggled with the same “hush” mindset for years. Shannon talks about how important it is for women to speak up and show up in a much more impactful and larger way. Not only is she doing this for herself, but for those who never had the chance. For those who want to but haven't had the courage, and for those that will in the future. As a black woman navigating life as a successful entrepreneur, she has, like many others, jumped through hoops to get to where she is today. You'll learn: How liberating it feels to speak up after years of growing money in secret or in the shadows of your business. Why playing small discourages you from speaking your truth or showing up for yourself/others with the most impact you possibly can. The importance of moving past fear-based trauma after years of staying quiet. Learn more about Shannon Brome-Ward: Shannon Brome-Ward is a Money Mindset Coach who understands how it feels to wonder where your money goes each month and the frustration of never getting ahead. I've got some news for you… you're not a robot. And what this means, is that sometimes you and your brain won't be perfect. I know… this reality kind of sucks. But I want to give you permission to be ok with it. Here's the deal: you actually don't have to be perfect to be really successful with your business. Without even knowing, we all carry negative judgements and beliefs about ourselves into our business. This discouragement stems from previous periods of your life and unfortunately they could very well be holding you back in your business. Females especially, automatically blame the aspects of their business before turning inwards. They place blame on their offer, their niche, the new marketing platform they started using, when in reality it is the thoughts about being “too much” or “too little” that is deterring you from success. There is no clear plan of action on how to outrun these thoughts, but you have to address them to be able to get past them so they don't impact you in your day to day. Know that you aren't alone on this journey, and you are not too much. This episode is a solid reminder that these thoughts are not true to who you are as a person. I encourage you while listening to this episode to ask yourself, “How does my brain work?” Instead of judging yourself for how you aren't perfect or like other people, accept how you actually are - and find a way to work with that, instead of fighting against it. Life can and will get easier if you break your brain free of preconceived thoughts and notions and accept yourself for the way you are. You'll learn: How self-judgment is the enemy and how it's holding you back in your business. How to have compassion for yourself as a human and how to combat dysfunctional thought patterns that really aren't true to who you are at the core. Why it's so important to be both accepting and curious, always asking yourself the right questions. How to work with and accept your brain as is, and factor in ways that work for you to tackle self-doubt by implementing and keeping in mind a new type of operating mode to ensure success. Today I'm excited to introduce Julie Lamb to the Online Business Building Mamas podcast. Julie is a licensed therapist, life and business coach with almost 20 years of therapy and coaching experience. She helps entrepreneurs and high achieving individuals get clarity, confidence and empowerment to achieve their next level of success. We'll talk about all things visibility and how showing up as your true and authentic self is the best way to “be seen” in your business. You're probably wondering how Julie succeeded in her business and hit a six figure income - she switched gears. She started to keep things simple, she spoke to what she knew, and most importantly, she started to show up as her true self. Society has conditioned us to show up in business in a certain way, but the best results come from when we speak from the heart, be more direct, unfiltered… be you. Speaking your truth will get you farther in business- whether it's an increase in client acquisition, more likes or comments, and of course, you guessed it- more money. People want to hear what you have to say- and when you're passionate and energized about your business, clients will be too. We encourage you to start speaking from the heart. Ask yourself, why do your clients come to you? What do they like about you and the way you run your business? How do I show up as my most authentic self? The more we give ourselves compassion, the more we fall in love with our business all over again. You'll learn: How confronting discomfort in business increases your visibility. Why slowing down in all aspects of business and being self aware is crucial to success. Why climbing a mountain is similar to growing your business and how easy it is to take the journey for granted, how we forget to enjoy the incredible things that happen along the way. How simplicity and authenticity trumps all aspects of growth in business. Why it's beneficial not to share all of your passions when working on visibility and why you don't have to say all of “the things”- but rather ask yourself, “what do I care about that will serve my client?” Haven't left a review yet? Hustling isn't always exhausting… at first. Hustling can feel like following excitement and inspiration and fun. Until you find yourself exhausted. The term “hustle” is ever so popular in this day and age. The more we hear about hustle in business, the more it's deemed acceptable. Most entrepreneurs have the mentality that if you aren't “hustling”, then you aren't being productive. Well, scratch that mentality! I am here to enlighten you with the fact that the hustle and bustle in your business does not equate to happiness, success or monetary gains. Rather, it can lead to exhaustion and burn out, which we all know is not conducive to living a healthy life. Furthermore, working hard or doing the things you don't thoroughly enjoy in your business isn't always hustling. We're all familiar with the energetic loop of inspiration and excitement that is followed by burnout. This wavering spark of creativity is also a form of hustling… and trust me, the outcome is just as miserable. The core of my philosophy is sustainability, You want to build a business that doesn't just pop up, make a bunch of money and disappear overnight. You want longevity! On today's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I encourage you to think about where you fall on the scale of “hustle culture” scale, and what hustling means to you. I talk about why routinely chasing creative inspiration can deter you from succeeding in business. I get you thinking about what happens to your business after all is said and done, and why simplicity and sustainability will have a long-term positive impact. Even if you think you don't have a hustle problem… this episode is for you. You'll learn: How “boring” is better in business and why creating a simple and duplicatable business is the way to go. Why chasing bunnies and running frantically in your backyard is the perfect analogy for hustle culture and burn out. Why creating a long-term sustainable business and building a foundation attributes to greater success. How mastery, process and systems in business are going to help create a business you're proud of and encourage a healthy work-life balance long-term. Haven't left a review yet? Is your audience small? In the world of million+ a year revenue businesses, I have an extremely small audience, currently around 5000 people. I want you to know this: The size of your audience does not determine how much money you make. Obviously as your audience grows, you'll make more money - however, if you convert your audience that you already have, you'll move mountains. Focus on nurturing your current audience and get better at selling to them. Believe that your current audience wants to buy from YOU. Start giving your audience so much value and highly quality results. Those are the ingredients to get more clients from the audience size you have - no matter how little it is. It's not the audience size that matters, it's what you DO with it. On today's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I encourage you to think about your predominant thoughts in showing up. I talk about breaking your brain a bit about the audience you think you need, why you probably don't need to be focused on audience growth right now, and what needs to shift for you to get more clients from the audience you already have. You'll learn: How the organic things you're doing with your current audience, regardless of size, is attracting new people. Why if you encompass the mentality that every person in your audience wants to buy from you will force you to show up in a different (and more impressive) way. How manifesting growth and abundance is key to success in your business. Why showing up in your business for 40 people with the mentality you're showing up for 100,000 people will ensure success. I have helped hundreds of women make money. And the biggest hurdle I see standing in the way every time? All or nothing thinking. There are so many ways all or nothing thinking can creep into your business. Here's an example… you have a plan for how you're going to spend your time, and when real life sinks in, you drop the plan. And then you think… planning just doesn't work for me. When in reality, that plan didn't work. But planning itself… could still work. Many of you struggle with the black and white thinking of “I shouldn't run a business vs I should run the business the way I want to scale it”. This is an extreme way of thinking and can negatively affect your business results. Remember, I simply let my business evolve without being neat and tidy. I started off messy and shifted from a membership program, to a group program, then I created Mama to CEO and now the Mastermind, and I still hit a million dollars. Don't let the all or nothing mentality limit you. On this week's episode of Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I am walking you through several different examples of all or nothing thinking and how it affects your sales approach, time management and hitting your goals, small or large. I also share how all or nothing thinking is ultimately holding you back. You are going to have non-stop breakthroughs with this episode as all the possibilities open up for you. You'll learn: How it's okay to start with an offer that isn't scalable- there is nothing you can't fix, change or correct in business - ever! How easy it is to encompass the all or nothing mentality in marketing or on social media - and how the results you get are the average of the things that you do Why using your skillset or comfort level to take nothing to something is advantageous Why eliminating the all or nothing thinking is important when it comes to your time, organization and overall goal setting in business Haven't left a review yet? In Mama to CEO, your first goal is making 5k. You aim to do it in a month - but if you don't do it in 30 days, you keep going. However long it takes to make that first 5k, you keep going. And then you get to work to do it again, better. Simpler, calmer, faster. You become the master at making 5k. You hit consistent 5k months. On today's episode of Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I'm interviewing 4 Mama to CEO students who have recently hit 5k months. Halima had made about $3k last year in her business. In October she decided to join Mama to CEO and hit her first $7k cash month in January. Ema had signed up for all the freebies and courses and still wasn't getting the results she wanted. One of the most common questions I hear from many of you is how to handle situations where your friends or family don't support your business and don't understand it. A lot of you are curious how to navigate those investment questions with your partners and how to handle the idea of your family needing to sacrifice, as well as become impacted for you to pursue your dream. This week, I invited my husband Stuart onto the podcast to get all of his thoughts on this topic, as someone who lived it and had a front row seat to me building my business, not that long ago. The conversation surprised me and almost brought me to tears multiple times. He reminded me of so many hard times in our past that I had forgotten. We talk about some “ultimate cheapskate” moves we did to save $125. We talk about living paycheck to paycheck for years. We talk about the mindset we both had when I decided to invest in my business. And you get to hear his honest thoughts as a very analytical engineer type about how it was, what he thought, and what he thinks about it all now, in retrospect. You'll learn: Why showing vulnerability is important when asking for help - you'd be surprised how willing people are to help How to deal with unsupportive friends and family Why it's important to really understand and be confident in your decision of investing in yourself Why I believe investing time and money into yourself causes a positive impact on your family Haven't left a review yet? The majority of us grew up believing that making money is hard, and that hard work is how we make more money. I want to throw that belief in the trash. The truth is that making money is very simple. It's not always easy (especially when we are just learning to do it!) but it can be. I personally have had a lot of resistance to having things be easy. And this experience of ease can be very unsettling. Recently I had been coached on making money feeling “too easy”. I realized I was trying to come up with some rationale that didn't exist. I earned the money. And it was easy. And then I went to an NBA game - and what I saw gave me one of the biggest transformations I've had recently in my business. What I saw were people who are at the top of their industry, who make millions of dollars. And they were smiling. That's when I realized - they are playing a GAME. Maybe this seems obvious? But to me it felt so profound. Here are people who are masters of their craft, which is playing a game. They get paid millions of dollars to play a game they enjoy. On this week's Online Business Building Mamas podcast episode, I talk more in depth about my takeaways from the game, and also about what to do when your business feels “too easy” - how you handle those moments 100% determines your experience in your business. You'll learn: How to let go and allow your business to be “easy” Why you need to stop making things harder than they need to be Why you need to throw away the resistance of things being “too easy” in your business Why your business will sometimes feel easy and sometimes feel hard - neither feeling is right or wrong Haven't left a review yet? I get questions all the time about how to determine the right price for your offer. And the bottom line is that there is no one right way to do it. There is not one correct formula for pricing that you should follow. Pricing depends on a lot of factors - which is why it feels complicated and confusing. On this week's episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I'm breaking down how I think about pricing, how I price my offers, and all of my advice to you as you decide the right amount to charge for your work. You'll learn: The importance of the value you bring to your clients when it comes to pricing your offer Why your confidence matters when making an offer How supply and demand affects your pricing Haven't left a review yet? This is the one year anniversary of me officially hitting one million dollars in 12 months in my business. I started my business in January of 2017. I hit 100k in 12 months in August of 2019. A little over 2 and a half years to get to 100k. And I hit 1M in 12 months in February of 2021. I went from 100k years to 1M years in a year and a half. That is crazy. There are a few reasons why 1M went so much faster than 100k for me. On this week's episode of Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I am walking you through the 3 things that made all the difference. Whether you're still working towards your first 100k, or you are in the 100k to 1M journey - this episode is for you. If you could only listen to one of my episodes ever, I would recommend it is this one. This episode will open your eyes to what it really takes to make lots of money in your business. However, I do want you all to know that my story is not a measuring stick for you to know if you're doing it right. This is just one way that one person made 100k and then a million dollars. This is not necessarily the right speed to do it. You'll learn: Why it's easy to keep making money once you know how to make money Why keeping things simple and not giving into the pressure of having a website, email list, course or freebie will allow you to make 100k How learning all the things is going to keep you right where you are right now, making no progress in any direction Why it's important to take action even when you're afraid How not investing in yourself will reinforce your fearful beliefs Haven't left a review yet?
