Probably my biggest release to date! Recorded in the best place in the world- the Barrowlands in Glasgow back in November. Like I said in the podcast, we had been trying to get this done for a couple of years and I'm glad we finally have, it sounds great and it's definitely the deepest dive into the Bury Tomorrow discography that's been done in my opinion. If you liked this I recommend checking out EP20 with Woody from Polar!Have a great day and again, a massive thanks to Jacko for doing this.Cheers x Hosted on Acast. Flew all the way to Paris for this one! If anyone knows me in the slightest they'll appreciate how big a deal this is for me. Getting to spend a day with Lucas and chat in great depth into his career (a lot of it not recorded as there was just no time!) and learn about a lot of stuff I never knew about the original Motörhead meant a lot to me.Cant believe I've hit 30 episodes…pretty mad like. Thanks to everyone who keeps supporting me every month, I hope you enjoy listening to this one. It's one I'd never thought I'd get to do when starting this.Cheers x Hosted on Acast. Really chuffed to have done this one. I always say theres 2 bands I love that I feel should've been wayyyy bigger than they were and Crooks are one of those bands. My first guest who's not from the UK! Massive thanks to Jared for taking the time to do this with me, he's someone that I've wanted to talk to since the start of Stoddcast.Listen to Ways Away, especially Savannah as it's a song I cannot get out my fucking head. Also his drumming on the albums ‘Anthems' and ‘Death Knows Your Name' is class, so give them a spin.As always thanks to everyone who's listened or rated the podcast. And thanks again to Gregor for editing.ta x Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
First time ever doing 2 guests but it came out brilliant! Massive thanks to Rich and Derek for doing this. Check out Coffin Mulch's new record ‘Spectral Intercession' - preferably get it straight from the band on Bandcamp
For a man who I had to work side by side with in an underground kitchen for 50-60 hours a week, the last thing we would've wanted to do is chat for 2 hours in front of mics together. But here we are.Andy is a one of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Very intelligent man, funny, insane knowledge of metal and his food is something if you ever had the chance to have it you know it was flawless and made from the heart. We talk all things metal and Meathammer in this episode. This was take 2...the first one I fucked up back in September. Live and learn.Massive thanks to Gregor Stobbie for smashing the audio, always does great with what I give him and Mirren Sands for doing the artwork for the episode, means a lot to have you pair helping me.Cheers to all who have listened and rated the podcast, always helps x Hosted on Acast. Cannot thank Steve enough for doing this with me, been a big fan of Steve's bands for a long time. Massive thanks to Rossi for doing this. A very inviting episode to do in his house, with his wee pup kicking about, the most chillest I have felt doing a podcast that wasn't in my flat. Great way to spend a Tuesday afternoon! Please go have a look at his artwork, there are some beauty's for sale just now. Sure he does commissions too - message him and see if he replies
As 2 best pals that talk pretty much daily, this was almost uncomfortable to do in the loveliest way, we were both pretty nervous which is daft. The funniest episode so far, I love it.Go see headcage live, buy their merch, buy/stream their tunes, support them cause mark my words this band will be BIG in the not too distant future. Many thanks Gregor for editing, Jordan for doing this with me and to everyone who's a new listener or returning.SIDE BY SIDE 4 EVAThanks xx Hosted on Acast. Episode 9, another Zoom call I was excited to do. A big learning curve on this one. I was a unwell on the day I recorded but I was very privileged to be able to talk to Sophie as I've been following her work and been a fan of her band interviews for over a decade now. Had to edit some bits out as I hit a brick wall and got nervous whilst doing, I think because Sophie is extremely good at what she does and I put pressure on myself sillily, but she helped me a lot and gave me great advice after the podcast was over and I appreciate that so much. Also I had a head cold, so sound more nasally than normal (yes that can be done)We talk about her time as an interviewer, working with culture compass, working festivals, speaking to some of the biggest artists and the struggle to sometimes have to fight to be accepted and respected in a male dominated industry. Also her DIY skills at home, her artwork and podcast. Please go listen to her podcast she does with her friend called PLAY PAUSE REPEAT… a lot more professional than mine. Follow her on instagram she follows a lot of great, useful mental health topic videos. Thanks Gregor Stobie for editing, massive thanks to Sophie for taking the time to do this and as normal thank you anyone who keeps returning to listen, it means the world.Keep sharing and rate the podcast if you have not.Cheers x Hosted on Acast. Massive thanks to Tyla for doing this, was so glad we finally managed to sort it out. A genuinely lovely person to speak to, more like him please! Whilst recording , we were at the back of a venue recording and they were building a stage other side of the room, so some things can be heard. But we make light of it and Reece did an amazing job as always editing to make me sound like fuckin Joe Rogan. As always thanks to all returning listeners and to any new ones I get from this episode, please rate on Spotify and Apple Music that always helps and any shares are always greatly appreciated.Cheers x Hosted on Acast. This is a really big one for me, being my first ever podcast done over Zoom... but it was genuinely a pleasure to talk to Dan about his musical career, something I feel personally never got the recognition it deserved, especially Neverthemore - go give them a blast! He is also an incredibly talented artist who has worked with countless bands over the years. If anyone has either the Biffy T in the Park 2014 of Bellahouston prints Dan done - please message me, I wanna buy them!!As always thanks to Reece for editing and as always to any returning and any new listeners.Cheers x Hosted on Acast. Hello…so, for some reason, the audio gods were against us on this - for whatever reason as soon as we started recording my headphones lead was interfering and making pops. We also had to stop towards the end and reset due to technical stuff, so that cost us a bit of time - but Reece has done his best to edit, polish it off and straighten things up. I maybe wouldn't listen to this loud with headphones on just for the pops. On the 53rd minute theres a heavy fuzz, it goes away after a minute. Sorry.Lesson learned - it was only my 2nd podcast and it was done away from home and I had very little time to work with the sound difficulties. So, please look past the fuck ups and listen to the great conversation - that said…Big love to Sam for agreeing to do this, he was one of the first people I asked when I came up with the idea of doing a podcast and he immediately said yes. We talk about his old bands, life in the UKHC/metal scene back in the early/mid 2000's, his influences, his tattooing career and his new music he's working on, Cave Walker (out hopefully the end of the year).100% go follow Sam and get booked in with him if you can, one of the best tattooists in the UK without a doubt. Well worth the travelling.Thank you again if you listened to the first episode or rated it/shared it - whatever, it all means a lot.Love you Reece, thanks as always.Cheers.Stodds x Hosted on Acast.
