Meet Captain Content & Kevin in the pit again this week for a hella good time! We're getting our aggressions out by revisiting the starting point of it all for Kevin. The thrash, crossover, speed metal movement of the 80s spawned his love of all things rock n' punk n' metal. This time around the circle pit, we are focusing on Crossover Thrash. A sub-genre defined as short bursts of hardcore punk with metal guitar riffing. This was perfect skateboarding music, which intertwined with the Sk8 subculture in the 80s and 90s. Hope ya have a slammin' good time with this one! What is it that we do here at InObscuria? We exhume obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. In this episode we explore all things mosh-worthy! This is real metal, people. All hail the speed and delightful absurdity of Crossover Thrash! Our hope is that we turn you on to something new. Songs this week include: Corrosion Of Conformity – “Positive Outlook” from Animosity(1985) Crumbsuckers – “Charge” from Beast On My Back (1988) Chained Saint – “Dark Side Of The Cross” from Blindside (2024) The Accüsed – “Grinning Like An Undertaker” from Grinning Like An Undertaker (1990) Cro-Mags – “Life Of My Own” from The Age Of Quarrel (1986) No Warning – “Unreality” from Torture Culture (2017) Beowülf – “Get The Grind” from Lost My Head… But I'm Back On The Right Track (1988) Prong – “Forgery” from Force Fed (1988) M.O.D. – “Dead Men / Most / Captain Crunch” from U.S.A. La rétrospective Tomb Raider continue avec "Le Masque d'Or", plus communément appelé "The Golden Mask" par la communauté. Cette extension de Tomb Raider 2 est bien plus ambitieuse qu'Unfinished Business et Shadow of the Cat, les deux dlcs de Tomb Raider 1. Mais est-elle meilleure pour autant ? Send us Fan MailMUZYCZNE PODSUMOWANIE I KWARTAŁU 2026czyli… wybitne płyty i mocno niecodzienne historie muzyczne ostatnich miesięcy. It is with heavy hearts that we deliver this week's episode honoring the passing of another guitar hero giant whose riffs were mighty enough to support Lemmy: Phil Campbell. He was a guitarist who rarely got mentioned in the circles of recognized guitar greats, but his playing on 16 Motörhead albums provides all the badass-guitarist validation needed. Best known as Lemmy's right-hand guy, he also released 3 fantastic albums with his 3 sons as Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons. We pay tribute to this amazing Welsh guitarist and celebrate his entire discography! Rest in power, Phil! New to InObscuria? Typically, what we do is exhume obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. Rest In Peace, Phil. Your pure musicality and amazing songs will live forever in our hearts! Songs this week include: Persian Risk – “Ridin' High” from Ridin' High - Single (1983) Motörhead – “Deaf Forever” from Orgasmatron (1986) Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons – “Take Aim” from Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons - EP(2016) Phil Campbell – “Rocking Chair (feat. Leon Stanford)” from Old Lions Still Roar (2019) Motörhead – “Thunder & Lightning” from Bad Magic (2015) Cro-Mags – “From The Grave” from In The Beginning (2020) Hawkwind – “Silver Machine” from 50 Live (2019) Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons – “Waves” from We're The Bastards (2020) Please subscribe everywhere that you listen to podcasts! Inspired by our Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame discussion last week, we decided to test our Metal. Being trivia buffs, we came up with the idea of Aaron testing Snowy on his knowledge of said HOF. Essentially, Aaron threw out an artist and Snowy had to take an educated guess as to the year they went into the Hall. You'll be able to hear the wheels turning through your device. In our "News, Views and Tunes", we pay tribute to Motorhead's Phil Campbell. Rest In Power!! Musically, we crank some Jello Biafra, Artillery, Repulsion, The Great Kat, Steve Grimmett's Grim Reaper, Persian Risk, Poison Dollys, Blood Oath and we introduce TX thrashers Accuser in our "Indie Spotlight". Horns Up!!
DEP Phil.

Send in your music story!A silly Friday mood turns into the kind of conversation that's way more real than you expect. We start with Rebecca Black nostalgia and end up unpacking the weird ways school adults sometimes try to “teach lessons,” from setting kids up to laugh to calling an entire class a future failure statistic. If you've ever carried a random school moment for years, you'll understand why we went there, and why we laugh through it anyway. Then we shift into a tight music news rundown for anyone who wants the highlights fast: the loss of Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell, Rod Stewart's farewell tour momentum, reunion buzz, release chatter, and the swirling Kanye West India concert rumors. We also do a quick Harry Styles reality check, comparing albums, talking hit power, and why some new songs can be good without taking over the culture the way As It Was did. Finally, we get fully consumed by Pocopia, the Pokémon builder game that has us playing on lunch breaks and thinking about it when we're not even holding the controller. We break down what makes it work: cozy Animal Crossing style charm, Minecraft style building freedom, story driven Pokémon characters, completionist systems, and even DJ Rotom letting you run around while classic Pokémon music plays behind you. We wrap by sharing what we've been listening to lately, from early 2000s hip hop and R&B chaos at work to pop punk discoveries and a renewed love for Fastball. This week, we took our adventure into the sea with a tribute to the Japan's legendary battleship, Yamato, as well as an anime series that inspired it. We also took our battle to the sky, before plunging into major darkness and oblivion! We also took some time remembering the recently fallen, Phil Campbell, who helped take Motorhead to another level. S9E12 went out live from the TSORR Studio on Myoli Beach on 19 Mar 2026 at 19h00 on Bulldogs Radio. It was a great show, upbeat and full of fun, despite the drama that seems to surround us these days. The sad passing of Motörheads Phil Campbell at the age of 64 took me by surprise, so we paid our respects to Phil. I had a great interview with Mark Biagio of the Fismits and listened to his brand-new track, which is being released on 20 March, so check that out. I also played some more Springbok Nude Girls to make amends for last week. Dan Patlansky featured on the new Ruff Majik track. I call this Metal Dan, and I love it. The diabolical challenge was fun with the hard rock heroes Gary Moore, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Marino, and Ted Nugent, and we chilled out nicely with Pink Floyd's masterpiece 'Time' in the Immortals slot. We start the show by paying tribute to local news anchor Ernie Anastos and Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell, both who passed away this week. We discuss William Shatner's new brand deal and how Rob came up with the joke first, much to the Shat's dismay. Rob complains about the proliferation of AI in one of the websites he frequently visits. We check in with pervs in local politics, including a dude named Mayor Dingus. Is the OnlyFans economy creating more bisexuals? What's the trend of adult videos taking place in laundry washer? S9E11 went out live from the TSORR Studio on Myoli Beach on 12 Mar 2026 at 19h00 on Bulldogs Radio. It was a strange show. Audience numbers are dwindling on Bulldogs, and now that I have shut down Rebel Rock, I may have to rethink. I'll see how long we can keep this thing going for, but I suspect I will have to find another home for the Live show soon. The one thing that didn't work was the Springbok Nude Girls track I've called ‘Total Shit' because it came up as 'Blue Eyes' but it's just one of those awful trumpet/warble jams they sometimes do. I suggest skipping from about 2:00 to 2:07. Other than that, it was great. Enjoyed it. Hope you do too. On this episode of The Mark White Show from Football in the South Scoreboard Media Days, we turn our attention to four proud North Alabama programs—Vina, Phil Campbell, Red Bay, and Deshler. Known for his ability to recreate music after hearing it once, Phil shares what it was like to live, travel, and perform with one of America's most iconic entertainment institutions — and reflects on how the circus shaped his life, his music, and his memories. So step right up and enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at circus life, through the eyes, and ears of someone who lived it.
