    Join Dr. Heather Wdowin, Dr. Paul Anderson, and Amy Ryan as they discuss how Hyperbaric Oxygen can improve your health. Amy completed a course in commercial diving(which includes hyperbaric chamber operation) in 2007 and worked in the industry until 2009. She ran hundreds of surface decompressions(in hard-side hyperbaric deck decompression chambers) including treatment tables for divers who had decompression sickness. She also worked with saturation systems.This is when divers are in the hyperbaric chamber for weeks at a time(to stay saturated at the pressure equivalent to the depth of the work site), leaving only in a pressurized bell that takes the diver to their work site underwater. She assisted the supervisors and Life Support Technicians in the daily operations and maintenance of the saturation systems and caring for the divers inside the chambers.She took a break to have her son and then transitioned to the medical field in 2010 where she worked in memory care, skilled nursing facilities, and with both disabled and hospice patients. She also spent some time working at a weight loss clinic as a weight loss coach; implement a ketogenic diet with patients who wanted to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way.She has worked for Dr Anderson since 2012 with various job descriptions including(but not limited to): operating the hyperbaric chamber, assisting in the operation of the clinic, and keeping the IV department running smoothly
