Dr. Dahle's good friend, Dr. Matt Morgan, joins us on the podcast today. Dr. Morgan just completed a one year sabbatical that was all about living intentionally and creating the life he wants now, not after retirement. Matt talked about his desire to be able to say yes to the things he loves any time he wanted to. He and his family spent time at home as well as traveling to New Zealand and all over Europe. He is a great example of not necessarily needing to reach FIRE to travel and take time off and do what you want to do. He shares how he prepared for the year, how he talked to his employer about the time off, how his family participated and everything else that went into making this adventure possible. After a year-long break from the podcast, I'm back! And there's a lot to catch up on. While the podcast was on pause, my business, Accounted For You, definitely wasn't. In fact, the past year has been full of growth, refining processes, and making big shifts in how we support clients. In this episode, I share why I made the decision to step back from recording, the impact it had (both personally and professionally), and why now is the right time to return. I'll walk through the behind-the-scenes changes in my business, what I've learned about prioritising the right things, and how stepping back in one area can sometimes be the best move for long-term sustainability. If you've ever felt stretched thin in business or questioned whether you need to let something go (even temporarily), this episode is for you. Plus, I'll share what's ahead for the podcast and why I'm excited to get back to these conversations. What you'll learn in this episode:Why I paused the podcast (and what I learned from it)How stepping back in one area gave me clarity in othersThe behind-the-scenes shifts at Accounted For You over the past yearWhy sustainability in business matters more than doing everything What's next for the podcast and how it fits into the bigger picture

Connect with me here! Send me a text message! So let's start out the year with 3 ways to get vision from God, hear Him clearly and walk out the purposes and plans He has for you this year! Submit your ways & plans to Him! Proverbs 16:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]In order to understand submitting, you really need to know the Father well. If you don't know Him then it will be hard to humble yourself in His presence and surrender your dreams for 2025. Knowing God is essential to your growth this year. Once you learn who He is and open your heart and mind to His word, you will begin to hear Him more clearly!! It's win win! 3. Lastly, know your identity comes from Jesus. That is my whole goal for this podcast, for you to truly know who you are and whose you are! We can do that by implementing #2 but also by affirming who we are through His word! All throughout scripture there are words of encouragement and reminders of who we are to God. So use those scriptures to literally speak life over yourself! Mark Clifton, Mark Hallock, and Dan Hurst discuss how to prepare for new folks who may come to your church in the new year. Why do folks not come to church? We minimize the importance of the local church. We worship the idol of activities. We take a lot of vacations from church. We do not have high expectations of our members. We make infrequent attendees leaders in our churches. Resources Related to this Episode: Five Reasons Church Members Attend Less Frequently by Thom Rainer

Alan Fredendall // #LeadershipThursday // www.ptonice.com In today's episode of the PT on ICE Daily Show, ICE Chief Operating Officer Alan Fredendall explores the concepts of Parkinson's Law and the Profit First model, discussing their importance in establishing a sustainable business practice. Alan highlights alarming statistics about business failures, with a quarter of new businesses closing within their first year and 65% shutting down by the 15-year mark. Alan delves into why these failures occur, emphasizing that business owners often determine the effort invested is no longer worth the financial return. By understanding Parkinson's Law— which states that work expands to fill the time available for its completion— and applying the Profit First model, aspiring entrepreneurs can create a more efficient and profitable business strategy. Oh the lessons learned. The heartbreak. The high expectations. Stupid mistakes. Mental errors. If you can make a mistake I made it. I did learn from it, 100% but that doesnt make the pain go away. Initially going in, I had planned to use this as a practice match to prepare me for the upcoming steel safari. But me being me, competitive and driven to win, not even one stage in already putting the pressure on to perform. Perfection at every turn. Thats the expectation. For myself. High standards and very hard to live up to. But heres my recap, i hope it helps you in someway learning from my mistakes and how i process.
