"Your time should be managed on the move, because it cannot be paused while you stop and figure things out." - Johnnie Williams IIIEach and every podcast episode allow for me to find my way back into the flow - as long as I focus my energy and attention on the theme and thought. My process for producing each message is 3-fold, beginning with tapping in and allowing my marker to dance across the white board that contains my show notes. Once that is done, i usually take a day or maybe a few hours to sit with it, look at it and then move on to record it. As I walk into my home studio and hit the power button, I am already ascending into a higher state of...or enlivened state. My heart begins beating slower, which is seemingly the opposite of what would be expected, but I actually begin to relax into what will ultimately become another thought stirring experience for whomever might listen. My intent with each episode is to capture my energy during this moment of flow as I focus upon a single-quote I may have created more than 7 years ago. I try to remember where I was and what I might have been doing, thinking or trying to say; and make sure that I allow that to come back to me as I began to share with you the listener(s).This episode's message allowed me to briefly highlight the obvious notion - that time does not sit nor stand still despite our desire for it to do so. It (time) doesn't slow from the pace we have set for it to tick and tock along with our lives. Therefore, at best all we can do is manage it better and better from experience gained from wasting it or losing it and paying the high price.I quickly offer up a way that I escape the grip of time and you can as well, before signing off with a couple of questions you should consider answering:1) When is the busiest part of your day?2) Where do you get caught wasting the most time?3) How do you make up for lost time? "My goals mean a lot less when there are no obstacles for me to overcome in accomplishing them." - Johnnie Williams IIIWhat is your intention (currently)? We often aim this question at others in protection of our safety and security when socializing with them. But it is time time really explore this question for yourself... Intention has been defined as a thing intended – an aim or plan – also the healing process of a wound.Would our goals be worth accomplishing if they lacked the obstacles that make achievement feel worthwhile? But, why the obstacle – what purpose do they serve… Think About It!Obstacles serve as the lessons that fall between our desire for things and the acquisition of those things. It'd be like:Sitting down for an exam for just showing upWinning the heart of someone special without any special effortRunning a touchdown without any defense trying to stop youBeing selected as the winner of a one person electionWould these scenarios make you feel special? We were all once like the worm that aspired to fly, and the only way for it to overcome the obstacle of gravity was to self-isolate itself within a cocoon, and then struggle to escape it. The butterfly could just remain a word but there's something driving it towards the desire to fly. This is because they don't really exist… well—- maybe as concepts that we use loosely, as if they make up our reality. Is today the day you stop living your yesterday's? Is today the day you step beyond your comfort zone? Is today the day you join the Thought Tribe? For the purposes of recording this episode, I've done something that I haven't done in many years. I went out and bought a newspaper. But not just any paper- nor is it a local paper. I got one that is available across our country. (2/15/2022 edition) And, as I look at its cover, it speaks of an invasion of one country upon a smaller one. The poor ratings in race relations taken from a gallop poll that I wasn't asked about maybe you were. It speaks of hospitals overwhelmed by Covid and some of them requesting our National Guard. It speaks of a pop stars life as a dad.But most prominently placed on the cover page is what company was crowned king of the Super Bowl commercials, as if they needed any more publicity – or maybe they – being the company, paid for this product placement as well.No words from all that I mentioned empower you on this new day! As I venture further into the paper - headlines are beckoning my attention:-Freedom Convoys (in Canada) spur protests in the south (being America)-Study: COVID 19 linked to stillbirths in unvaccinated-Hong Kong to begin vaccinating 3-year old's amid surge in infections-Arbery's killers are again in court -HBCU bomb threats have roots in history (HBCU's are history black colleges and universities)-Ohio mayor resigns after ice fishing comments -Woman killed in stabbing in NYC-Ukraine's actor president set for real drama-No family should face school shooting horror (parents of 17 kids killed four years ago in Parkland FL, advocate for laws to increase safety)-We escaped freezing to death by making hard choices (how so…)I can only imagine this dose of negativity served up on a dinner plate. Would you eat it if you could see it for what it really is? Maybe… Because you gotta know what's going on right?I'll pass—— and this paper is headed to the trash. Excuse me- the recycle bin, so we might save a few trees that took years to grow and only seconds to cut down, just so we could offer up what I just read as news.Something to Think About…Ask Yourself:What types of stories headline in the paper today? What happened yesterday that you can learn from?Who is authoring the headlines for tomorrow's paper? And as a visionary, I have squandered so many moments on the thought of future possibilities.Do you know how beneficial it'll be for you to take some deep breaths each day? When you're feeling stressed – or getting frustrated with life or others… Taking a breath will never fail you – but just might save you or maybe a relationship. Think about it… Life begins and ends with it, so there is power in this simple exercise of self-regulation. I know that yesterday can be addictive and tomorrow quite mesmerizing, but we only catch the flow in the present moment. So don't miss your opportunity. Why do we love our past so much? And… How is it the future offers us so much hope? Maybe the fact that many believe our future is shaped by it… the past that is. But I find that to be untrue. You might respectfully disagree, but I believe that we live in, and exist in a vacuum comprised of only (right) now. So, all there is- is the present that's often wasted on reliving our past or looking beyond our present. “People don't fall in love; they fall in action – and that love will fade as your actions turn to in-action.” - Johnnie Williams IIIWe must work for it… (Love that is) Some of the ways in which I try to display L.O.V.E. is to:L. listen to themO. offer my respectV. value who they areE. encourage they growThere are no shortcuts to the real thing with the right one for you. So, stop rushing an emotion that requires time and experiences. Love is not what it's often portrayed as… It might be cultivated in the good times, but it truly reveals its presence in the not so good times. The problem may be that most of us have love activation habits – but not the type of habits to sustain the love we've generated by our initial actions. Many of us were never taught about the five love languages and without this knowledge we head out into the world of relationships seeking what we clearly cannot define for ourselves. For love does it make one hole, but often reveals the holes that one is safe to reveal. With awareness, of how you give love and wish to receive it back will serve you very well in the long run. And, to truly wrap your hand around someone you love you need not only focus on their love language a preference nor your own; you must deliver love in each of the five ways.  The truest testament of one's love is the labor of efforts to improve in areas where were the weakest. The Five LOVE Languages:Words of affirmationQuality timeActs of serviceGiftsPhysical touch Visit JohnnieWilliams.com for more information or call (315) THOUGHT to ask a question or leave a message.Support the show (https://www.thethoughttribe.com)

“Forget about bringing something to the table… Today, winners are putting something on the plate.”  - Johnnie Williams IIIAsk yourself... Is it your time?Ask yourself... Is this going to be your year?I want you to win – but not at the expense of someone else having to lose. We all win each and every time one of us improves something about ourselves (our inner selves - that is). The outer more cosmetic changes only serve to change perspective, but not the overall collective frequency for which and of which we all contribute. So… It's time to win! This week's thought (see quote) invites you to do more than just show up to the workforce promoting your intelligence or the fact that you might be smart. Rather, it is suggesting that you become a creator of something that is tangible and the necessary. Can you create a product, or a program? Better yet, how about generating more profit for yourself or your business, or someone else's company for whom you work for.Today, winning is requiring a lot more than just basic knowledge and education. Winners are the folks that are able to apply what all they know and quickly gain new skills that can be applied to continuously add value.Have you been preparing yourself for this moment? If yes then it's time to win.Something to Think About… Visit JohnnieWilliams.com for more information or call (315) THOUGHT to ask a question or leave a message.Support the show (https://www.thethoughttribe.com)

“Don't fall for the illusion of wealth… Nice things represent the money we HAD, not the money we HAVE.” - Johnnie Williams IIIWhy is it so difficult to keep life simple? Maybe it's because they (the industry) made the “look of wealth and success” available to consumers to purchase or finance. But this illusion we often craft and buy into, only make the wealthy-wealthier.It's like chasing the wind; you'll never catch up to it! Nor will you become rich by spending to look like you already are.Think About It…Wants and needs must be deciphered between because we've been CONditioned to want more and want it now. Maybe it was the television that is re-shaped our vision and perspective with programming that is grooming the American mind like a dull weapon that takes time to cut to the chase. One show at a time and one commercial at a time (too). We didn't want a new washer and dryer until we saw them on the tell lies to our vision – Think About It…Do we really need it, or do we just really - really want it? And, for how long do we really want it (or them) once we've gotten it, or been with them? Our needs don't change as fast as our once shift from one thing to the next. Maybe that's why we always want to make more money, and maybe we just need to save more of what we already have.Something to Think About… Visit JohnnieWilliams.com for more information or call (315) THOUGHT to ask a question or leave a message.Support the show (https://www.thethoughttribe.com)

“I'd rather fail at holding onto a bad relationship, then fail to let it go and be hurt by it.” - Johnnie Williams IIIWhich BATTLE do you feel justifies your engagement?the outer battles w/othersthe inner battles w/selfWe are often lured into battles over:Relationship issues, political differences, our children's issues, acts of disrespect, unmet desires, financial spending, family drama, lack of compromise, and misunderstandings with others. If you think about it…we are energy, and each battle robs us of that - that we truly are (which is energy). Who has time to fight their personal battles when there's always an outer battle enticing us to engage our energy? So many of us struggle with holding onto the wrong relationships for too long and fail to let them go before getting hurt. This is often because we struggle with these 4 common influences:The peers we've allowed to negatively influence us and our decisions. The problems that we create for ourselves and/or inherit from others. The pressures we all struggle with to meet the challenges of life and/or the expectations of others. The pride that we apply in very dysfunctional ways that doesn't benefit us; but rather opposes our forward progress.ASK YOURSELF:Was there a time that this was your experience? How did you come to the decision to finally let go? “You should only live life looking forward… Because, looking back at yesterday while experiencing today is backwards living.” - Johnnie Williams IIIIt sounds obvious – so why am I saying or suggesting to live while living? Are you living fully? Are you existing barely? Are you truly alive? Are you holding your breath? Are you in a state of fear? Are you surviving till the weekend? We need to take our minds out of reverse and drive forward…beyond the speed bumps and fender benders of our past. This is why the clock ticks forward… It's suggesting the most logical direction and clear suggestion for us to follow. So, keep going and keep growing. This episode's theme is a reminder that we have all come from nowhere and now find ourselves now here so we should live fully before returning back to nowhere from which we have come. Just think of how unnatural it is for us to live out our today's crippled by the experiences of yesterday. It's like drinking yesterday's coffee, or a flat soda. Somethings are just better experienced fresh – just like today! However, there is science that supports why we struggle with this:95% of our day is managed by our subconscious mind and just 5% is spent conscious and creatively aware. Our minds our often fully programmed by the age of 7, which is why it's been mentioned…“Give us your nations children till the age of seven and we will shape your entire society.” Now think:Seven days of creationSeven chakrasSeven hermetic principlesThis is a number representing completion. Therefore, there are seven action items I'd like to suggest you complete each day until it becomes habit (subconscious).1 - start the day with 7 deep breaths2 - while bathing or showering consider 7 things you're grateful for3 - drink 7 cups of pure water4 - hug at least one person for 7 seconds5 - take a walk (move around for more than 7 minutes)6 - call or message a loved one who brings you joy7 - end the day with 7 deep breaths (release it and prepare to welcome new today)ASK YOURSELF:What have you been through that hijacks your attention? What reminder can you create to remain focused on the present day and moment? “Inspiring others to help others is my strategic plan for changing this crazy world. It all adds up… 1+1+1 = change”.   - Johnnie Williams IIIThis quote was created to remind us all that change will require we add up all of our efforts to equate to a necessary shift. Because we are the problem that needs solving...and we are the solution for solving the (present) problem. The theme and quote are an interesting combination about relational collaborations and change. As we could not pick our parental partners, nor our family partners neither, so picking good partners should go without saying. But here I am saying it! Think about the type of PEOPLE you need around you - because:People EmpowerOrPeopleLimitEach OtherSo, it's time that you DEFINE what does a better world look like to you. Start by REFINING the things you say or do to improve the world, helping to make it better. But, you must ALIGN with a tribe of people that have a similar vision as you, and RESIGN from any dysfunctional partnerships that'll keep you from growing and moving forward. Watch out for the human parasites who:1) invade upon your time -2) draw upon your resources - and -3) determine or dictate your behavior.I would never pick a team of people to help me lose on the basketball court. But when lacking awareness in past — I am guilty of leaving the door to my inner circle unlocked. I proceeded into partnerships unguarded, thinking that I could ENCOURAGE the best out of anyone and that has proven to be wrong and has taken much time and patience to get things back right.I never stopped to ask mySELF:Who am I (really) looking for and why am I looking for them? How will they make it onto my team and what will they contribute as a teammate? When (and why) will I remove them from my team?I am forever an optimist that remains rooted in reality and grounded by the gravity of what is… But I think in order for the people to see a better world, we must partner with one another and work at it and on it together. “How is it that so many conversations invite truth, then make the person arriving with it feel so unwelcome?” Johnnie Williams IIIThis theme and Thought are a simple and powerful:Suggestion - Watch your mouth…. Because your words and thoughts hold extreme power.Question - Why is a truth often unwelcomed? Is it because the lie may contain some benefits?Let's make this quote and theme relevant to our current times…."Watch Your Mouth Johnnie Williams"or the social platforms we have come to utilize and trust will take down your content or maybe demonetize your pages. And, when we finally get some thought stirring information through the AI defense system, the responses go cold – the phone lines go silent – and the email inbox remains empty. This leaves me with the question…Who really wants to truth?Let's focus on TRUTH  or The Real U (or universe) That's Hidden.Accept ItTell ItFind ItSpeak ItThe thought and theme go together like a right and left hand. On one hand you must watch what you say to yourself or about yourself - because - you'll be right! On the other hand you need to beware or be aware of what you share; and with who- you share your truth -or- the truth with. They may not want it!!!So many of us rely upon mass media as our go to source for truth. But what makes this very interesting and concerning to me, is the etymology and roots of origin for the word media and its plural designation as medium (The intervening substance through which impressions are conveyed to the senses or force acts on objects at a distance.). Are we the objects? Are we being silenced by those pushing a solo media narrative?I invite you to checkout my 'Welcome to Jumanji...' video on Youtube.
