The theme for this year's event is 'Emerging from Crisis - Reshaping Family Offices'. To state that 2020 is a year of uncertainty is an understatement. Against a backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic, political turmoil in Hong Kong, the US elections and the threats of kidnap or cyber-attack, family offices are reflecting and preparing for a new operating environment. They may be embracing the opportunities provided by remote working or dealing with the challenges that this might pose, considering succession planning for wealth transfer to the next generation or ensuring that they have a robust governance structure.
Dr Andy Sloan, Deputy Chief Executive, Strategy at WE ARE GUERNSEY will be moderating a panel discussion with viewer questions to follow. The panel consists of:- Kate Hodson, Head of ESG Funds at Ogier in Hong Kong- Iain Henderson, Managing Director at ADM Capital- Tracy Wong Harris, Deputy Secretary General of the Hong Kong Green Finance Association, and- Kevin Smith, Director of Ocorian in Guernsey

Hear how the captive insurance industry is innovating in response to a fast-changing world, and about Guernsey's strengths in the market, in our webinar with a panel of speakers who have wide experience of international corporate insurance and the captives industry. Audio taken live from our webinar in June 2020.
Guernsey Green Finance Chair Dr Andy Sloan caught up with Tim Hames, former Director-General of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) to review Guernsey Sustainable Finance Week, and go over some of the key themes about the roles of private capital, family offices and private equity in greening the global economy.
We Are Guernsey's annual investment funds flagship event usually takes place in London. This year's webinar features two Guernsey-based speakers taking part in a virtual fireside chat, focusing mainly on the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the potential routes for recovery. Turnaround expert Jon Moulton has called the pandemic "the biggest disruption of my working life". Independent director Andreas Tautscher says the issues being faced, and the potential recovery solutions, look very different to that of the global financial crisis of 2008. Guernsey's funds sector is competitively placed at the start of a new decade, strengthened by economic substance provisions and a developing position in the growing sustainability sector. How will Guernsey's funds sector emerge as we enter the "new normal"?
Stephen Nolan, managing director of the UN's Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S), offers a global take on the impact of Covid-19 on the sustainable finance agenda.
