Original broadcast date November 21, 2019. The original podcast post is here: https://pixelatedgeek.com/2019/11/binary-system-podcast-200-ship-all-the-ships/ 200 episodes in and WE FINALLY HAVE A PLAN! (For one episode. Enjoy it while it lasts!) If you know us, you'll know we love us some shippy goodness. For the non-nerds (or anyone who hasn't listened to this podcast) (or met us) that means we'll decide that two characters in a movie, network TV show, book, comic book, webcomic, or 1980s cartoon are meant for each other and we'll obsessively track down fan art and fan fiction about them, and if we can't find any, we'll make some ourselves. If that sounds like your cup of tea, buckle up, because in this episode we discuss over thirty of our favorite pairings, from Star Trek, Star Wars, Transformers, X-Men, Doctor Who, ElfQuest, Vampire Diaries, West Wing (yes really), MacGyver (YES OKAY SHUT UP) and a lot more. Trigger warnings for vague references to cartoon smut, and the blatant objectification of several handsome male celebrities. And whether you've listened to 200 episodes or just the one, thank you for stopping by, you're awesome. This week's outro music is a clip from Underground Revolution by TeknoAXE. https://youtu.be/esfx4J-KNGI A good companion to this episode is the Lost in Sci Fi "Fan Fiction" episode we recorded with Leland and Jada. https://pixelatedgeek.com/2018/01/lost-in-sci-fi-episode-61-fanfiction/ All our obsessive thorough coverage of Friday the 13th the series is here, here, here, and here. In this episode, Greg, Leon and Rahul are joined by special guest Marvyn For the fifth and final installment in our epic discussion and breakdown of BATMAN: KNIGHTFALL (https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Batman:_Knightfall). Presenting “BATMAN: KNIGHTSEND” (https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/KnightsEnd) Following the events of “KNIGHTQUEST: THE CRUSADE” (https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Batman:_Knightquest) and “KNIGHTQUEST: THE SEARCH” (https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Batman:_Knightquest), Bruce Wayne has returned to Gotham. Alfred has gone. Jean-Paul valley's campaign of terror and one knight, deepy violent crusade on crime has ravaged Gotham. The mansion is in a state of disrepair and Gotham has lost trust in her champion. The mantle of the Bat now resides in the iron claw of a zealous dark paladin who has appointed himself judge, jury and executioner. Bruce is determined to take back the mantle and correct his mistake, to restore the Batman, as a symbol to its former glory. But first he needs to regain his edge, before going toe to toe with Jean-Paul for the title! Now there really is just one arc here that closes out the battle and puts the mantle back where it belongs with Bruce Wayne. But following Knightfall the story is not truly over. It isn't a tidy ending, which is why we chose to cover the fallout for true closure! This is collected in two subsequent chunks “BATAMAN: PRODIGAL” (https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Batman:_Prodigal) and “BATMAN: TROIKA” (https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Batman:_Troika) It's all here.
