As we approach the final season of Andor, there is one character we've been expecting (and hoping) to see: the original Space-Papi, BAIL ORGANA played by the incomparable Jimmy Smits!Ever since his surprise appearance in Rogue One, and a larger and heartfelt role in Obi-Wan Kenobi, we've been wanting more and more of the Alderaanian senator. Serendipitously, a new trailer for Andor has dropped and our minds are racing! There's one scene in particular that has our speculation bordering on irresponsible! We discuss this new trailer and speculate why Bail Organa seems like a certainty in this series and what his potential role could be. We await the return of the king!• • •Triad of the Force is a channel which was featured on the Podcast Stage at Star Wars Celebration 2022 and 2023, featuring Nani and Gus, lifelong Puerto Rican friends who after years of discussing the media they love, came together and created their show. Chapter 4 of Star Wars: Dark Force Rising (1992) (EU: 9 ABY) by Timothy Zahn. The Story So FarThe New Republic is beleaguered by numerous Imperial hit-and-fade operations with a recent assault leaving an entire shipyard of capital ships crippled. Admiral Ackbar has been accused by political rival Borsk Fey'lya of colluding with the Imperials due to suspicious financial activity on the day of the assault.Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, and Luke Skywalker have intel that a non-human Grand Admiral is behind the recent coordination. Arriving ahead of Lando and Luke, Han gives his testimony on the assault and divulges the intel before they can verify it in the ex-Imperial Archives.Meanwhile, Leia Organa Solo has been evading abduction from a mysterious alien task force. On Kashyyyk, Leia and the Wookiees neutralise another attempt, capturing the Noghri operative Khabarakh, but not before Chewbacca 's childhood friend Salporin is killed.During the subsequent interrogation, Khabarakh identifies Leia as daughter-and-heir to the revered Lord Vader. Leaning on that reverence, she offers a one-on-one meeting as a show of good faith from the New Republic towards the Noghri people. She returns to Coruscant in the interim to prepare for her meeting in one-month's time over the forest Moon of Endor.Luke has been lacking confidence to both train Leia and become the teacher of the next generation of Jedi. Beckoned through the Force to Jormark by a Jedi Master identified by rumour as Jorus C'Baoth, apprehension urges Luke to seek out this possible new mentor to lighten his burden. He is unsuspecting that it is really a Clone of the original C'Baoth in league with the Imperial Grand Admiral. Chapter 4Luke is back on Coruscant. While looking through the Palace Archives for information on C'Baoth, Winter interrupts him to deliver Leia's summons. They discuss the digressive Jedi and his place in both Galactic and Alderaanian history.Winter leaves Leia, Luke, and Han to discuss the conspiracy surrounding Ackbar, and (if any) throughlines with Fay'lya and the Bothans. With nothing left to contribute on Coruscant, Han and Luke will investigate New Corv, in the Churba Sector where the Bothans were involved in a brief-but-violent skirmish during the Galactic Civil War.It's at this point that Chewbacca exposes Leia's rendezvous with the Noghri. With Han and Leia staring expectantly at each other, Luke excuses himself.Leia and Han argue in earnest, but ultimately her idealism wins his support for her mission. Han insists that she take the Falcon and Chewie as a pilot.Links, Share, and SupportDocumentation for this chapterCross platform link for this chapterDiscuss this chapter on Discord, YouTube, or RedditSupport us on PatreonOur WebsiteSupport the Show.

It also includes stricter rules around sexual harassment and seems to give Twitch more leeway to ban streamers and commenters who make offensive comments.Rogue - Twitch has since sort of walked this back. Do you think this was a good or bad move? The latest OBS update includes support for stripping out audio from VODs on Twitch Streamers everywhere are looking for solutions to the looming DMCA issue. This next fix is definitely a step in the right direction but is only one piece of the puzzle. From the vergeThe biggest change in this version of OBS is support for the feature that Twitch debuted in Twitch Soundtrack — the ability to play music in a second track while you're streaming to Twitch, so that it can be stripped out of your recorded broadcast, or VOD (video on demand).OBS pointed out that Twitch helped with the development of the feature, which is interesting because the company already has Soundtrack. I can only imagine it means that this is the latest front in Twitch's fight with the music industry — because if streamers get used to stripping music from their VODs as a general practice, the problem of people broadcasting copyrighted music on Twitch might eventually solve itself.Depending on how this integrates with twitch the music would technically still be there in the vods unless you are uploading the vod yourself. This also leaves the problem of live streaming the music in the first place which is a violation. Deviant- Do you think this will help with the DMCA issue? https://www.polygon.com/2020/12/11/22169372/pokemon-cards-destroy-rare-sodapoppin-twitch-dark-raichu Pokemon pack opening streams have become one of the hotter trends in the streaming realm in the past few months. Fans getting to get that little bit of excitement and endorphin rush of finding a rare card without spending the money themselves has proved to be a great attention getter. However, one of our favorite trolls is here to cash in on the trend in quite a different way. From polygon,On Thursday, Chance “sodapoppin” Morris streamed the unthinkable live on Twitch: He dunked rare Pokémon cards in lube. And that's not all — Morris also set plenty of cards on fire using a flamethrower, rolled cards in dirt, and blended cards in an effort to all-out destroy them.Nearly 100,000 concurrent viewers tuned in to watch the destruction at certain points; the archived stream has more than 1.2 million views.Where did Morris get all these cards, you ask? He bought them as part of a rare pack, worth thousands of dollars. There were plenty of duds within that pack, but they all faced the same fate: destruction. It's a practice that Morris himself has been critical of. “I got a lot of shit when when I played blackjack on stream because I was ‘promoting gambling to children,'” Morris said on stream in November. “And now Pokémon is big and everyone loves it. And now it's gambling but with, like, a kid-friendly label slapped on. Gambling, rated PG, for everyone. That's kinda how it feels.”Morris' Pokémon card destruction rally feels like a commentary on that — a cruel, cruel commentary for card collectors everywhere.Stump - How long until stuff like this gets marked as bullying by twitch?Tech News https://gizmodo.com/u-s-schools-are-buying-phone-hacking-tech-that-the-fbi-1845862393 In our first story, US public schools are now buying law enforcement grade spying devices to break into students phones. Cellebrite, which is used by the FBI, has been purchased by administrations across the country to spy into students' personal devices if there is suspicion they may have done something wrong. From GizmodoWhile companies like Cellebrite have partnered with federal and local police for years, that the controversial equipment is also available for school district employees to search students' personal devices has gone relatively unnoticed—and serves as a frightening reminder of how technology originally developed for use by the military or intelligence services, ranging from blast-armored trucks designed for use in war zones to invasive surveillance tools, keeps trickling down to domestic police and even the institutions where our kids go to learn.Gizmodo analyzed a random sample of 5,000 public school or school district websites across the United States and found that eight district websites mention Cellebrite or another MDFT technology. Because our sample is a relatively small portion of the total number of high schools in the United States—and the ones that stood out did so because they published the purchases as line items in public budget reports—many other school districts may have access to this technology. The Fourth Amendment protects people in the United States from unreasonable government searches and seizures, including their cell phones. While a search without a warrant is generally considered unreasonable, the situation in schools is a little different.Cell phones are deeply personal items, and it's easy to imagine how embarrassing and potentially catastrophic it would be if an administrator or school resource officer used a Cellebrite to download students' private text messages, photos, social media posts, location history, and more. Rogue - How do you feel about admins doing this to kids phones? Twitter is shutting down its Periscope apps Live streaming on Periscope is coming to an end. Twitter has announced they will be shutting down the video streaming service for good. From the verge - Twitter will, however, continue to offer live video streaming through its integrated Twitter Live feature within the main Twitter app.“The Periscope app is in an unsustainable maintenance-mode state, and has been for a while,” the company explained in a blog post. “Over the past couple of years, we've seen declining usage and know that the cost to support the app will only continue to go up over time.”While Periscope won't be fully shut down until March, the company is already blocking any new account signups starting in the latest update to the apps, which is rolling out today. Users will have the chance to download an archive of both their Periscope videos and their data before the app is shuttered next year. Additionally, the Periscope website will remain active to serve as a “read-only archive of public broadcasts.”Dev - Do you see something else showing up to take periscopes place ? https://gamerant.com/cyberpunk-2077-refund-good-bad/ Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 is still in a rough state, which goes to show that the console versions are, effectively, still not ready to be released. In a statement released by CD Projekt Red, the studio admitted that it "ignored the signal about the need for additional time to refine the game in the base last-gen consoles." On the bright side of things, while Cyberpunk 2077 is riddled with bugs and glitches, most of them are fixable through a content update.Although CD Projekt Red recently released a hotfix targeting quest bugs and crashing, it will probably take a while before the game is polished to a near-perfect state, or even a playable one at that. Having said that, players whose only concern is the bugs present in Cyberpunk 2077 should probably hold on to the game, given that CD Projekt Red is working on improving the game's overall experience.Stump - Refunds are now basically being offered across all platforms. Should gamers all get refunds and wait for patches?Entertainment NewsChris Pine to Star in a DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Movie Super Nerds everywhere are giddy right now. Why? There is talk about a new Dungeons and Dragons Movie and it will allegedly star none other than Captain Kirk himself. No not Shattner. Chris Pine. From the Nerdist - John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (both directed Game Night and wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming) are directing this Dungeons & Dragons movie. They're writing the script too; it's based on a Michael Gilio-penned draft. The film will be an ensemble that, according to Deadline, will take a “subversive approach to the game.” The ensemble part makes total sense. D&D games center on a group of players going on an adventure together. Any movie trying to capture the feeling of the game needs to be a group effort. They're planning to start filming in the first quarter of 2021. That means we should find out about additional cast members soon. We have our eyes open. Don't worry, we have a solid bonus for our perception rolls.Rogue - What do you want from a D&D movie?8. https://nerdist.com/article/the-last-blockbuster-docmentary-trailer/ Some of us may remember those great friday nights going to the local video store. Grabbing our favorite candy and the last copy of TMNT 2 the secret of the ooze on VHS. Sadly those days are gone but you can capture a final glimpse in a new documentary.“The Last Blockbuster follows Sandi Harding, the manager of the world's last remaining Blockbuster—located in Bend, OR—as she reflects on the store's vibrant past and navigates the difficult task of keeping a video rental store open in the era of streaming. Taking us through the history and subsequent rise and fall of the franchise, the documentary reveals the real reason why Blockbuster went out of business (hint – it wasn't Netflix), while celebrating the unique and defining culture it created in the '80s and ‘90s.”This documentary, which explores an era of the moviegoing experience that will once feel as outdated as leeching, featuring interviews with comedians and celebrities. That includes Adam Brody, Ione Skye, Doug Benson, Paul Scheer, Ron Funches, and Kevin Smith.Deviant - What is your top video store memory? 9. Original Boba Fett Actor Jeremy Bulloch Dies at 75 Star Wars fans can't seem to catch a break with several original cast members passing on the last few years. Now we have lost another. The man who originally wore the Boba Fett armor, Jeremy Bulloch, has passed away at the age of 75. A post on the actor's Facebook page says he passed peacefully after health complications. Born in 1945 in Leicestershire in the United Kingdom, Bulloch began his acting career in 1958. Back then he starred in television commercials. He soon transitioned to film and other TV acting roles. Aside from playing Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, he also portrayed Hamlet, appeared in Doctor Who, and Robin of Sherwood. Bulloch had parts in the James Bond franchise too in The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only, and Octopussy. Boba Fett became the cult icon of the original trilogy. This led to a long and successful career for Bulloch on the Star Wars convention circuit for many decades. The 501st Legion even inducted Bulloch as an Honorary Member in 2002. He often cosplayed in his Boba Fett costume and made public appearances with them. He was also a frequent guest at Star Wars Weekends at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. In 2005, he returned to the on-screen Star Wars galaxy for a brief role as the Alderaanian pilot Captain Colton in Revenge of the Sith.Stump - It seems almost fitting that Disney will be dedicating a new series to the Bounty Hunter after this news.BOLD PREDICTIONS We have not seen the end of grogu in Mandalorian. Rose discusses why she loves Harrison Ford, how she got into Star Wars through her classmates, moving to the Ukraine and using Star Wars as a way for her and her foster children to find solace during wartime, why she loves The Last Jedi, and how Luke's story of failure speaks to her. “From A Certain Point Of View” is a series in which I interview fans, friends, podcasters, authors, actors, and content creators in the Star Wars community to learn, from a certain point of view, what Star Wars means to them and how it has impacted their life. Is there someone you want to see on the series? Send me an email, and I'll do my best to get them on the show! Want to become a Friend of the Force? Saluton! It is once again I, Tyson Saner. I'm still your host for this curated assortment of audio content from various locations around the globe and, if you are still listening, then I am still grateful and I wish you a warm "Welcome Back". If you are listening for the first time...then simply "Welcome." And glad you found us! We're brought to you this time around by Henderson's Pants Toddler Trau, the stylish pants for those who have just learned to walk. In this installment, I've got some interesting selections for you this episode. We've got clips from R U Talkin' R.E.M. RE: Me?, The Goon Cast, Unladylike, Food To Watch Films By, Pretending With Dice, and Unspooled. We've also got a double dose of raging moderate comedian and social commentator Will Durst's Burst O' Durst segments...in fact, we're leading the show off with our first of two B.O.D.'s… CLIPS Unspooled From the iTunes show description: Paul Scheer is a lifelong movie buff, but he's never seen many of the all time greats. On Unspooled, his team-up with film critic Amy Nicholson, he's remedying that by watching the AFI's top 100 movies of all time. On episode one, Paul and Amy jump straight into the AFIís number one film of all time, Citizen Kane. They explain why it was almost never released, take a closer listen to Orson Welles' innovative use of sound, and try to answer the big question: Is this really the best movie ever? Plus: an interview with a guest expert, cinematographer Steve Gainer, on why Citizen Kane looks so incredible. Pretending With DiceThe iTunes Show Description: Tabletop Gaming/RPG Podcast, hosted by Adam Johnston. Playing various RPG systems in short story-arcs and one-shots. Expect comedy, some strong language, and a lot of fun! (Adam Johnston previously had a soundcast called Sup Dude that he co-hosted with Nathan Taylor, which ran for 5 years, and whose end was announced just over a year ago, via Twitter, on May 19th, 2017.) His new Pretending With Dice has just began a new cycle of RPG goodness. Allow me to elucidate. Our clip is from Epi25, comprising an adventure entitled "Yavin Exodus". In the wake of their successful attack on the Death Star, the Rebel Alliance must evacuate their headquarters on the moon of Yavin IV, before Imperial reinforcements arrive. Alderaanian ex-smuggler Klyne is assigned to the flight crew of the freighter 'Close Encounter'. Kortez finds himself flying patrol with a talkative Sullustan, who tries his patience, and meanwhile, on Nubia, Ugnaught droid expert Thnock carries out a daring heist on an Imperial droid factory. Thrilling stuff! Unladylike What's going on in this soundcast? Hosts Cristen Conger and Caroline Ervin tackle questions through their trademark obsessive research, stories from rule-breakin' ladies and a solid dose of delightful feminist rage. This clip is from thier "How to Buy a Gun" episode, where they explore the fact that women overwhelmingly buy guns for self-defense, but statistics show guns escalate violence across the board. Cristen and Caroline talk with two firearms fans to find out how much that feeling of safety is worth — and what's at the root of women's fear. R U Talkin' R.E.M. RE: ME?Director Lance Bangs joins hosts Adam Scott and Scott Aukerman to discuss R.E.M.'s sixth studio album "Green". They get into talk about R.E.M.'s partial reunion in Portland, when Lance first heard of the band, and how Lance began to know the band and start collaborating with them. Plus, Scott and Scott tell us a little bit more about themselves on an episode of "Talkin' 'Bout Me." Food To Watch Films By Join hosts Johnny, Adam, and Pablo on their experiential voyage through the combination of food and films. (As it says on iTunes: "DISCLAIMER: Some foods suggested may not be safe for human consumption, or even legal for that matter. You have been warned...") IN their reality, the world was wiped out at the beginning of the year, apparently, and this clip comes from a "found footage-style episode" where the boys take us their their review of some films of 2018 that were - to them - never released. Movies in clude 'The Commuter', 'Mary Poppins Returns', and 'Day of the Dead: Bloodline'. Look, I don't explain the clips, I just play 'em. The Goon CastA show featuring New York-based standup comics from around the city, The Goon Cast is hosted by Billy, Joe, and Jay Mac. They're joined in the episode we clipped by comic Jesse Eigner, and they cover a lot of topics - from Harry Potter and Jesse's new allergy, to New York politics and America's draft picks. Our snippet touches on just a fraction of it all. And just like that, the show is done. I hope you leave this listening experience with at least one new idea of where to listen next when you wish to get your audio fix. I'm off to rustle up some more clips from soundcasts Ive recently heard of, soundcasts Ive known of for a while, and soundcasts I have yet to discover. Maybe even something that's been featured before because...why not? I'd greatly appreciate it if you might visit www.succotashshow.com or even www.tysonsaner.com if you've any interest in any of the other things I've created during this life. And, of course, I'd like to thank you for being here and if you have any interest in the continuation of this free soundcast I would most gratefully and gently urge you to please pass the Succotash. — Tyson Saner
