We're back for one final time in the 2023/24 Championship campaign as we look towards naming our Podcast Team of the Season this Friday! We've amassed a huge list of contenders which Ross Hancock and Charlie Beckett dissect in this latest episode - it's been another cracking season of Championship rugby! They also look back on the final round of fixtures as Cornish Pirates and Hartpury both secured their highest second-tier finishes, plus praise for the Champions who signed off in style on home soil.
A bumper issue as Championship Rugby prepares to bring the curtain down on another fantastic season this weekend. Delighted to welcome one of Ealing's integral members of their champions squad, Reuben Bird-Tulloch to talk to Charlie Beckett about the importance of English rugby's second-tier and excitement to lift the trophy for the second time in three seasons. SEMINARIUM/ALMEDALEN. Den brittiske journalisten och medieforskaren Charlie Beckett, professor vid London School of Economics intervjuas i Studio Ett i P1, av programledare Helena Groll. Därefter publikfrågor frågor till Charlie Beckett, under ledning av Sveriges Radios Staffan Sonning. Som en av Almedalenveckans höjdpunkter gästar den brittiske medieforskaren Charlie Beckett Almedalen för att medverka i Sveriges Radios seminarium om framtidens journalistikutveckling och mediekonsumtion på tisdag 2 juli kl 10.30-12.00 på Wisby Strand. Men redan på måndagen medverkade Charlie Beckett i ett samtal om på Sveriges Radios scen intill Donners plats. Charlie Beckett har 20 år som verksam journalist bakom sig, bland annat som prisbelönt filmproducent vid brittiska BBC och ITN. Numera bedriver han medieforskning vid London School of Economics. Charlie Beckett, Head of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics, looks at WikiLeaks as a case study for understanding media and political communication. Beckett is the founding director of Polis, the London School of Economics' international journalism think-tank. He was an award-winning filmmaker and editor at LWT, BBC and ITN's Channel 4 News. He is the author of SuperMedia (Wiley Blackwell, 2008) which sets out how journalism is being transformed by technological and other changes and how that will impact on society. His latest book is WikiLeaks: News In The Networked Era (Polity) which describes the history and significance of WikiLeaks. Polis is a public forum for debate about the news media in the UK and globally. Polis holds seminars, conferences and lectures and has published reports on topics such as social media, reporting politics, financial journalism, humanitarian communication and media and development.
