First out of two of Ly Sander's 'Landing' album samplers released on Special place, the package presents two tracks both serviced with a dedicated remix that offer a deep yet often unheard insight into what dance music can mean. Preoccupation about the impact of mankind on the planet is nothing new, as the radio excerpt at the basis of 'Marching to where' clearly exposes. Nevertheless, climate change or the war in Ukraine remind us cruelly how access to food at a reasonable price is currently at stake for parts of the world's population albeit our heavy colonization of the earth. Perspectives are rather gloomy and this track exposes just that, with a historical perspective. Jacques Bon was kind enough to take on remixing duties. He has released music on an array of high-rated record labels including Tim Sweeney's seminal imprint, Beats In Space, Mule Musiq, Giegling, Kann, Live At Robert Johnson and Smallville Records. Not just a solo flier, Jacques also co-produced choice deep-diving joints with the likes of Christopher Rau and Chicago House pioneers, Virgo Four. And if it's difficult to leave aside the seriousness of the topic of this track Jacques brought some hope and sweetness to his mix as well as his dreamy atmosphere. Southern italian artist Simone Gatto ( owner of Out-Electronic Recordings / Out-ER ) versatile dj and composer, is an eclectic electronic music activist, specialized in music therapy, who finds into music a dynamic source of emotions, reminds and energy. Simone’s first contact with music was early in 2004 and since then, he’s been known for globe-trotting around the world to perform quality house and techno shows and managing his own label Out Electronic Recordings with his partner Andrea Santoro, releasing music from relevant house and techno artists like The Analogue Cops, Regen, Christopher Rau, Efdemin, Orlando Voorn, LaChriz, Conforce, Fabrizio Lapiana and many others. Simone has performed in clubs like :// about blank, Griessmuehle, Suicide Club OHM ( Berlin ), Output ( NYC ), Tempio del Futuro Perduto ( Milan ), Le Rouge Pigalle ( Paris ), Paradiso Noord ( Amsterdam ), showcasing a singular aesthetics united with a solid selection criterion. As a producer, he released his own works mostly on OUT-ER plus a restricted number of realities like Orlando Voorn’s Night Vision, Subwax BCN’s sub label Vosnos and Safari Electronique from Arnaud Le Texier, Souvenir Music and Sheik’N’Beik Records. The variety of experiences and musical stimuli has brought Gatto to research the music potential together with the Italian University San Raffaele on an ever-increasing scientific and emotional scale. The results have led to the organization of several seminars and workshops, organized throught Out Electronic Recordings and happening in between Italy, Germany and Holland, in which artists and music industry experts examine the relationship between sounds and emotions. The tangible findings and collected depositions will be put out on a book to be published in late 2017, where the personal path of the artist and the musical context he’s studied and lived, will be offered to the world of music enthusiasts. Simone’s world may serene, deep and sensitive at the same time – but it’s always been an intense place to enjoy. Simone Gatto is a versatile artist from Salento, South of Italy, who has been playing from jazz to houseand techno for over ten years and producing melodic dance music since 2008. Gatto is the owner of @out electronic recordings - record label which has been releasing smooth, refined ambient, house and techno music from valuable national and international artists as Orlando Voorn, Juan Atkins, Efdemin, Christopher Rau, The Analogue Cops, Fabrizio Lapiana and many others. This mix was recorded live at OHM, the younger brother club of Tresor, during the release party held last November 2015 with Buck, Aubrey, Marieu and Limo. With his debut album coming soon, 'Detachment', Gatto aims to to represent, through an audio-visual experience, the path of life, the flow of time and the emotions occurring in human beings from birth to death - each track represents a way to relive, assimilate and react to the events and memories of the past, in order to reach a stage of happiness and awareness, obtainable exclusively in places that are meaningful and in the company of people who are dear to us. The album was filmed by the29nov films and it is out on mid February 2016 via American label Sheik'n'Beik.

1. My real name is Baptiste, i live in Paris, i chose Petit Batou because it's my nickname since i was young. 2. I started playing the violin at the age of 5 years . I discovered many musical genres because of my musical studies, now i listen much everything (jazz, classical, cuban music ...) but especially house music for the search for original rhythms. And then i started to compose and play it. 3. My influences from different styles , Debussy: Arabesques for piano, Miles Davis & John Coltrane - Kind Of Blue album, St Germain - Boulevard (Album), Kerri Chandler - The Mood EP, Maurizio - Domina 4. My favorite music store are Syncrophone, Techno Import, & Gibert Joseph in Paris & beatport & discogs, on the web. 5. Strangely, they are rather topical artists that inspired me as a DJ and also to my compositions. I note, Ricardo Villalobos, Arpiar, Livio & Roby, Audio Werner, Ion Ludwig, Christopher Rau ... 6. INTERVIEW > www.inverted-audio.com/smallpeople We spoke to Smallpeople, the dynamic production duo behind Smallville Records and record store based in Hamburg, Germany. Dionne aka Just von Ahlefeld and Julius Steinhoff established the store in 2005 with the help of fellow musician and friend Peter Kersten aka Lawrence, and have since developed their own brand of deep house, drawing form their admiration for subtle, evolving melodies. Having released records from Christopher Rau, Move D, Moomin, STL, Lawrence, Steven Tang and Benjamin Brunn, Smallville Records have attracted a loyal following of heads, turning, what started as and still is a neighbourhood hangout into one of house music's most prominent imprints. In the interview we discover more about their beginnings into producing music, running the store and their plans for 2014.
