Bob Motzko joins Chad Hartman to kick off the final hour of today's edition of The Chad Hartman Show. Not only does he coach the Gopher Men's Hockey team but he was also tasked to lead Team USA at the Men's World Junior Championships this winter here in St. Paul. Chad asks Coach Bob what this summer has been like for him managing both teams. They also discuss the special opportunity that the state has to host this international competition and event. Coach Bob details a string of exhibition games across the state leading up to the tournament itself at Grand Casino Arena. In the second segment, Chad and Coach Bob wade into the unique college landscape that hockey programs have. NIL, opening of Canadian Juniors, transfer windows all contribute to an uncertainly structured future. They also chat about the upcoming Gopher senior and what they need to find success this season.

The 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris are officially here! To kick off the Olympics, Ryan talks to gold medalist Dominique Dawes, Michael Phelps' coach Bob Bowman, and legendary basketball coach George Raveling. Dominique Dawes is one of only three US women to compete at three Olympics, and has won four Olympic medals. In the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Dominique earned a gold medal as a part of the “Magnificent Seven”, as well as an individual bronze medal in the floor event. She also earned team bronzes in 1992 and 2000 and is a member of the International Gymnastics and USA Olympic Halls of Fame.
