The OutThere Colorado Podcast is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon a few months ago and I have been hooked ever since. As a parent, it is always a struggle to keep young kids entertained and engaged on long car rides, but this podcast was our saving grace. My boys, ages 4 and 7, absolutely loved listening to the fascinating stories about Colorado's history and geography. It provided entertainment and education all in one. However, now that we have listened to all the episodes, we are left longing for more.
One of the best aspects of The OutThere Colorado Podcast is its rough around the edges nature. Unlike other podcasts that strive for a super polished and dry presentation, this one feels authentic and down-to-earth. The host's jolted reading style may not be for everyone, but I found it endearing and it added character to the podcast. The episodes are well-researched and filled with interesting factoids about Colorado that I had never known before. It truly taught me loads of new information about my beloved Centennial state.
Listening to this podcast feels like taking a journey through the beautiful state of Colorado in a more intimate way. Even though I have only toured Colorado once, these fascinating stories allow me to revisit the state over and over again from the comfort of my own home. The engaging storytelling style makes me feel like I am right there experiencing the history firsthand.
Not everything about this podcast is perfect though. Some listeners may find the narrator's reading style annoying or jolting at times. Additionally, there is currently a limited number of episodes available, so once you've listened to them all there isn't much else to enjoy. However, these minor drawbacks do not detract from the overall enjoyment of this podcast.
In conclusion, I miss The OutThere Colorado Podcast dearly and eagerly await new episodes. As someone who has called Colorado home for most of their life, this podcast has taught me so much about my beloved state that I never even knew. It is an engaging and entertaining listen that will have you adding new destinations to your "To Visit" list. Whether you're a long-time resident or new to Colorado, this podcast brings the history, geography, and people of Colorado alive in a way that is both educational and enjoyable.
