Gilbert and Frank sit down with one of their favorite funny people -- comic, writer and Comedy Central host Dave Attell, to talk about everything from Louis CK's cult blaxploitation spoof “Pootie Tang” (featuring Dave in a small role) to Gilbert's controversial (and costly) tsunami jokes to Danny Kaye's (alleged) love affair with Sir Laurence Olivier. Also: Dave shares his passion for 70's-era porn, reveals why he doesn't consider himself a good actor and helps Gilbert and Frank dissect classic (and not-so-classic) movies like “Planet of the Apes,” “The Magnificent Seven” and “The Tingler.” PLUS: Tuesday Weld! Pat Morita! Hymie the Robot! The Three Stooges meet “The Dirty Dozen”! And Barbara Hershey becomes Barbara Seagull! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Hi everyone. What a great week of podcasting. And of course I'm talking about our new rating system - PG for Podcast Gold, which is EGGzactly what happened at Dave Attell's birthday dinner when, once again, your pal Dave Juskow was the only one not to get his dinner. At this point I almost want it to happen because it's podcasting hilarious. And the best part is always -- I keep going back.

LIVE from the Comedy Cellar podcast studios - it's the audio portion of Comedy Cellar Tuesdays with Dave Juskow. Twice a month I do a show from the Comedy Cellar Live on YouTube. On December 16, 2025 comedians Dave Attell & Sleepy Nick Griffin came by for a few laughs before we took Nick out for his birthday dinner. As usual, Nick was a half hour late BUT. . .who cares it was a blast. Towards the end we have a trivia game - can you guess the comic's book or joke? So, recorded live on December 16th at the Comedy Cellar, I hope you enjoy this audio rebroadcast. You can also watch on YouTube here: https://shorturl.at/jWEcWHappy New Year! Hosted on Acast. Lucia is a cast member of the Lincoln Lodge in Chicago, has contributed to The New Yorker, and is a cohost of the environmental history podcast What a Waste. The First Time is hosted by Jenn Sodini. Baltimore comedian Luke Harris stops by to talk hosting at Magooby's, bumping mics with Dave Attell, DC comedy “clapter,” Ocean City underage drinking citations, Mo Noor lore, Dan Soder's perfect Kat Williams, and why open mics are part therapy, part demolition derby. We hit: starting during the post-COVID reset, booking drama and “territorial comics,” the Happy Podcast/Dom Solesky crew, and whether robots will fold our laundry (and break up with our girlfriends).
We start things off in Austin, TX where Brendan Schaub has been let down by his son's performance on the baseball diamond. Remember when I said it's not smart for Bapa to rely on his nine year-old's athletic achievements to justify moving the entire family to Texas? Fly on the Wall had Charlie Sheen on and Emilio Estevez was kind of on the show, too. Chad Zumock received a compliment from Adam Busch and didn't know how to process it. Steel Toe is going to serve jail time and his cope is that it's actually going to be a great time and he probably won't want to leave his new friends. Stuttering John has three friends who are mad at him and poor Ava has to console him. Anthony Cumia can't wait to show up to court for StutJo's defamation suit. Opie just posted video of Stuttering John and Dave Attell guesting on Opie with Jim Norton. It turns out O&A breaking up wasn't Opie's fault at all. On Opie's morning stream we learn that Opie's daughter had a birthday party and a very special gift. Opie also has a hilarious bit about female hygiene products and Ron the Waiter is calling out Opie and reading private text messages. Jim Tews has spent more than half his life on stage making people laugh. From being inspired by Dave Attell's “Insomniac” to his first days doing comedy in a strip mall sports bar, Jim knew he had to do it to keep from losing his mind. He and Dan chat about the level of judgment comedians are under and how it would horrify a “normal person,” bigger markets equal higher stakes, and the hell that college gigs can be, especially when pizza is the bigger draw.Jim TewsJim Tews is a comedian, writer, and animator known for his skewed observational humor and creative versatility. Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he began his stand-up career while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, performing in Cleveland, Ohio. After completing his enlistment, he studied film at Cleveland State University and continued honing his comedic voice on stage and online. In 2011, he moved to New York City to pursue comedy full-time. He gained national attention with his stand-up television debut on NBC's Last Comic Standing and has since appeared on FX, NBC, SeeSo, and TBS. GGACP celebrates the birthday of comedian, producer and Roastmaster General Jeff Ross (b. September 13th) by revisiting this frequently hilarious 2019 interview with Jeff and fellow comedian Dave Attell.
