Episode 433: All-Star season is officially here! The first round of voting has been released, and Dallas has officially begun his campaign for Nick Kurtz to make the All-Star Game. The conversation then shifts to a debate over who the best catcher in baseball is following Drake Baldwin's return to the Atlanta Braves. According to recent reporting, the San Francisco Giants are open for business. A disastrous season has forced Buster Posey to try to move the big contracts of Rafael Devers, Willy Adames, and Matt Chapman. The guys break down exactly what it would take to trade those massive deals and who among the three high-dollar players is the real prize. The Giants remain in the news for all the wrong reasons. Landen Roupp, JT Brubaker, and Ryan Walker all wrote Bible verses on their hats during Pride Night at the stadium, turning a night meant for inclusion into a debate about something much bigger. President Trump's pressure campaign against Iran appears to have produced a framework for negotiations aimed at preventing the Islamic Republic from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Todd walks through the reported 12-point plan, explains why Iran's leadership remains a threat to regional stability, and discusses what must happen for any agreement to succeed. Todd also examines why strength and deterrence matter in foreign policy and why caution is still warranted despite encouraging developments. Plus, a look at the growing controversy in Major League Baseball as players respond to Pride Night policies by writing Bible verses on team-issued hats.

Josh continues his deep dive into the emerging U.S.-Iran agreement, separating fact from speculation and asking the question no one in Washington seems eager to answer: if this deal is so good, why haven't the American people seen the actual text? Fresh off President Trump's comments at the G7 Summit, Josh breaks down what the president is saying, what it signals about the negotiations, and why Americans should be paying close attention to what's being discussed behind closed doors. Josh examines the details that are beginning to leak out of the agreement and explains why transparency matters when dealing with one of America's most dangerous adversaries. Josh also discusses the drone attack that was thwarted over the weekend, what it reveals about the persistent threats facing the United States, and why bad actors around the world are still looking for opportunities to do us harm. To close the show, Josh highlights a group of courageous baseball players who refused to bow to cultural pressure during Pride Night, choosing instead to display a Bible verse on their team-issued hats. In an era where standing for your faith can come with a cost, Josh explains why their quiet act of conviction deserves recognition.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Stephen was the only person in New York making a stink face after the Knicks won this weekend, people traveling to American cities for the World Cup find the non-chuds to be wonderful, Trump terrorizes DC residents again, and every nobody on the Giants gets homophobic for Pride Night. The story about MLB issuing them a warning came out while I was editing the episode, but whatever it's just a warning wake me up when someone gets shitcanned. It was the most epic Red, White and Blue weekend I can ever remember and it was topped off with a spectacular scene in DC for UFC Freedom 250 and a deal made with Iran. Pinch me, if you will, because this just all seems too good to be true. We are SO back and we are flaunting it everywhere from the soccer pitch to the Strait of Hormuz to the Octagon of Doom outside the Oval Office. I voted for ALL of this. Jackson County charges two men for allegedly stealing England's soccer shoes and after hearing their names, I only have one question I need answered. The Royals may have found a new ace after a brilliant performance Sunday. The San Francisco Giants have several players that weren't having it on Pride Night, the Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup and a whole bunch of Rod Stewart fans are not happy with something he did this weekend.

CannCon and Zak Paine open the week still buzzing from one of the most stacked weekends in recent memory. Trump's 80th birthday coincided with America's 250th UFC event on the White House lawn, complete with a bald eagle flyover, dirt bikes, and a walkout moment that had even a protester stopping to admire the flyover. Pitcher John Hocket stole the night with an unscripted Michelle Obama joke that sent the left into a frenzy, while two Christian San Francisco Giants pitchers made their own statement on Pride Night with a Genesis verse on their cap. Sports dominated the weekend: Team USA beat Paraguay 2 to 0 in the World Cup with a Trump phone call to the coach and captain, the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup, and the New York Knicks won their first NBA championship since 1973, with predictable chaos following in the streets of New York. Trump announced the US Southern Command killed Tren de Aragua leader Nino Guerrero. The biggest story of all: on his birthday, Trump announced the Iran deal is complete, the Strait of Hormuz is fully open, the naval blockade is lifted, and a signing ceremony is set for Friday. Obama criticized the deal, and Trump fired back point by point on Truth Social.

Tee Time For Pittsburgh 05/06/26 The Pittsburgh Penguins' 2025-26 campaign has come to an end. Eliminated in an overtime, Game 6 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pens overachieved and bowed out early. No harm, no foul. We all got extra hockey, the organization generated some playoff revenue from tickets, concessions, and merch, and after a slow start, we were all treated to some thrilling hockey in Games three through six. Jeff and Jordan recap the season that was, discussing - among other things - Evgeni Malkin's future with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Game Six: Balboa Penguins Force Philly Return 04/29/26 No one saw any of this coming, so each shift we behold - with Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang together in the Stanley Cup Playoffs - is a gift to Penguins fans around the world. And yet we find ourselves riveted by the drama, as number eighty-seven and his scrappy, resilient team pushes through the reedy swamp of the most unlikely of comebacks. The Flyers, after jumping out to a three games to none lead, have stumbled while the Pens have surged. Former Calder Cup MVP and Penguins net minder Arturs Silovs stood tall in games four and five, and heretofore absent elements to the Penguins' postseason game: Depth scoring, Superstars getting going, just to name a couple, have arrived at either just the right moment …or a little bit too late. Either way, we're being treated to a classic. A Keystone State Battle to write home about. Tonight the Penguins visit Philadelphia for what will either be their storybook season's final tilt or, as some die-hard Penguins fans assert and hope: one more salvo in the name of a reverse sweep. Make no mistake: The Flyers faithful are sweating this game. Enjoy the podcast - Jeff and Jordan are back with you for some spirited Penguins hockey talk. Also, special thanks to Hunter and Jacob, a couple of newly minted hockey fans who came in through the ‘Heated Rivalry' side-entrance. “X” Men 04/12/26 The Pittsburgh Penguins are going back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs!! Florida Men 04/02/26 Nothing says ice hockey like FLORIDA, as for the past two NHL seasons no hockey club has been more successful than the FLORIDA Panthers. And if it's Florida hockey yinz want, then you're in luck - the Penguins tonight kick off a three-game stint versus the Lightning and Panthers. Tonight's game versus the Bolts will be played in Tampa, with the Cats curling up in Pittsburgh for a back-to-back residency at PPG Paints Arena on Saturday and Sunday. The Tampa team looks pretty darned dangerous and it's never wise to count out a reigning Stanley Cup champ, regardless of (the Panthers' mounting) ongoing injuries. Lords Of The Shootout 03/27/26 As we've been saying for YEARS, the Pittsburgh Penguins are the Lords Of The Shootout, striking fear into the hearts of any opposing team's goaltender.. etc, etc. We kid, we kid. Back-to-back shootout victories for your Pittsburgh Penguins are of course unheard of and downright unexpected - but the Steel City's flagship hockey club managed the feat nonetheless, besting ace goaler, Linus Ullmark for a massive 2-point party in the capital of Canada. As of today's posting (Fri March 27, 2026) the Penguins are in sole possession of 2nd place in the Metropolitan division. We compare Disneyland After Dark's themed nights—Sweethearts' Night, 70 Years of Favorites, Disney Channel Night, Star Wars Night, and Pride Night—with Walt Disney World's ride-first After Hours at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. You'll hear highlights like lightsaber instruction, cosplay showcases, and unlimited PhotoPass in California, alongside TRON, Rise of the Resistance, Cosmic Rewind, and smart snack stops in Florida. We also look ahead to the seasonal heavy hitters that shape late-year travel: Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and the stylish return of Jollywood Nights. With on-the-ground tips about entry windows, dining pitfalls, and how to prioritize shows versus attractions, you'll be ready to build a night that matches your vibe—romance and nostalgia, high-energy dance parties, or low-wait ride blitzes. Whether you're chasing a selfie with Merlin, scoping a Mandalorian meet, or planning a three-hour lap of headliners, we map what's confirmed, what's likely, and how to plan without guesswork. If you found this helpful, follow OurMousCapades on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and YouTube, and drop us a rating and review so more Disney fans can plan smarter. You Don't Say Shutout 03/03/26 Almost anything goes in ice hockey - but you never, EVER, under any circumstances …say the word ‘shutout' if your goalie hasn't let up a goal and there's still hockey left to play in the game. The Pittsburgh Penguins are on a roll coming out of the Olympic break, garnering points in the Eastern Conference standings in all of their three games since. With the Boston Bruins on the slate for tonight, let's keep rooting on the Black and Gold - the ones from Pittsburgh, now… - and BEAT BOSTON. Olympic Hangover 02/23/26 Sidney Crosby played well in the Milan Cortina Olympic prelims, then sustained a serious lower body injury in Team Canada's quarterfinal game against Czechia. Team USA ultimately won gold in dramatic OT fashion, with NJD's Jack Hughes netting the deciding tally. The Penguins are back in action on home ice, this Thursday against Hughes's NHL squad, followed by a Saturday visit to MSG and the reigning gold medal-winning HC, former PIT bench boss Mike Sullivan. Another week, another round of College Football chaos, and Notre Dame is at the center of all of it. We dig into why the Irish bailed on bowl season, why the committee bent over backwards for Alabama and the ACC, and how James Madison crashing the party might actually fix the Playoff moving forward. Marcus Freeman gets the MTV Cribs treatment, Duke gets blamed for basically everything, and we take a hard look at what happens if Notre Dame finally snaps and walks away from the ACC. Plus: Oregon losing its shine, one of the wildest postgame interviews of the year, LeBron conspiracy theories, Xavier sweeping the Crosstown Shootout, MLB insanity with the Dodgers, Reds missing on Schwarber, and the growing Saudi shadow over baseball. We even close with private equity invading Utah athletics, the AP Poll telling on itself, and a FIFA “Peace Prize” that looks like it was handed out in homeroom.
