For this episode, we will explore The Virgin of Juncal. This Black Madonna who has since been "restored" is the oldest Marian image in Gipuzkoa and probably in the entire Basque Country. Her shrine is in Irun, and aptly called The Church of Our Lady of Juncal or Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Juncal.
