Ben Siemon is an animation writer at Disney, and he loves his job. But when the infamous "Don't Say Gay" bill was on its way to becoming law in Florida and Disney didn't come out against it (AND was revealed to have donated to the politicians behind it), Ben got upset. So upset, in fact, that one day last month he made a video explaining why Disney's silence was dangerous in general, and hurtful to the company's LGBTQ employees specifically. Ben's video ended up going viral, prompting other Disney writers and actors to speak up as well. Within several days, Disney's CEO had issued a statement. Ben helps us wade through Disney's complicated history with the queer community, and provides some insight as to what we can do when a company we love is causing harm. Plus, he tells us how his own coming out collided with a NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE!Follow and help amplify Ben on Twitter at @BenjaminJS, and watch his *hilarious* Barbie doll brunch videos at @brunchtheseries on TikTok!

Ben Siemon (@bjsiemon) was such a joy! Ben is a writer & comedian best known for his role of "Grocery Clerk With Half an Eyelid" on Crazy-Ex Girlfriend. He's also written for several animated shows including Ducktales, TrollsTopia and the upcoming Tiny Toons reboot. We talk about many more shows besides FNL that experienced a sophomore slump or overstayed their welcome, we die multiple times at Ben’s comparison of Buddy to Ted Cruz, and we laugh a lot at Ben’s first impressions of these characters in this crazy ep! Buddy’s a drunk! Tim’s a stand up guy! Tami is losin it! Pour yourself a bowl and dig in with us as we ponder such imponderables as Remo’s new piercings, Caroline Duffy’s 2020 Twitter presence, strange films we watched in health class, who’s been clothes shopping at outdoor art fairs, and why April 1996 was a banner month for TV’s redheads. Mambo!

THE SKEETER MYSTERY CONTINUES! Matt and Eileen still don't know what happened to Skeeter, so they brought in Ben Siemon ("Crazy Ex-Girlfriend") to help figure things out by watching the 15th episode of "Muppet Babies" (titled "Piggy's Hyper-Activity Book"). Together, they discussed the creepy behavior of Gonzo, Nanny giving the babies Stockholm Syndrome, and a theory so disturbing that we may have to issue Skeeter-ial's first ever trigger warning. But is this the episode where we get the answers? Listen and find out! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Comedians and married couple Justin Matson (Fatter Than You Thin) and Ben Siemon (Dreamworks Animation, La, La, La, L.A.!: A Puppet Musical) come by to tell us of how they met (hint: it was improv), proposed without a flash mob and eloped in Australia! This leads to scenes about alleged Billy Zane, Pokemon arsonists, and a Tacos and Such marketing problem! Together, Mike Leffingwell (Rocky & Bullwinkle, The Goldbergs) and Ben Siemon (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Rocky & Bullwinkle) are known as Small Town Sheriff, but today they are guests on The MEAT. Mike shares a story about a time he lost his cool at a family gathering. Ben talks about a time where a night out in Arizona landed him in a coma. These true stories inspire improvised scenes about a man addicted to water, a nephew with sweet semen who has to go deep undercover, a man who loses his temper on the phone and a lot more!
