We could not let a season a go without a dose of a reality tv dating show so we're back with a episode discussing the Netflix hit, The Ultimatum South Africa. There's so much to unpack so had to make sure our reality tv correspondent, Dona, joined us as we got into it. We cover our thoughts on the flavour & authenticity the South African cast brought to a show that was getting tired & all the dynamics at play in this twisted couples' swap. We also ask some burning questions like… Why did Khanya bring that man on here when she clearly didn't like him? How long had Ruth & Isaac really been together? At what point did Courtney & Aiden realize they'd an error coming & when will Nolla stop lying? That and so much more. We hope you enjoy! Will God answer your prayer if you don't end with, "In Jesus' name, Amen?" Learn what praying in the name of Jesus really means. I taught this week on the call of Abraham and the development of God's missionary call through the nation of Israel as they were responsible to communicate the truth of God to the cultures around them. They were given that great commission. The great commission didn't start in Matthew 28. It started with Abraham in Genesis 12—the first three verses there—Abraham, chosen by God to raise up a nation who would then be God's priests to the world so that they would be a blessing to all of the nations. They had a unique role in the great monotheistic religion. The Jews were supposed to reflect morality to the world. Israel was to witness to the name of God. When they talked about the name of God and witnessing to God's name, that does not mean that they were to let everybody know what they called God, "Yahweh." Their goal wasn't to cover the countryside with evangelists who just let everybody know what the right word for God was. It meant something different. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆https://linktr.ee/jacksonlibon---------------------------------------------------#realtalk #face #instagram #SDF #SYNDICAT #DESPUTES #amour #take #couple #dance #dancers #vogue #voguedqnce #garden #tiktok #psychology #beyou #near #love #foryou #money #ForYouPizza #fyp #irobot #theend #pups #TikToker #couplegoals #famille #relation #doudou #youtube #twitter #tiktokers #love #reeĺs #shorts #instagood #follow #like #ouy #oyu #babyshark #lilnasx #girl #happybirthday #movie #nbayoungboy #deviance #autotrader #trading #khan #academy #carter #carguru #ancestry #accords #abc #news #bts #cbs #huru #bluebook #socialmedia #whatsapp #music #google #photography #memes #marketing #india #followforfollowback #likeforlikes #a #insta #fashion #k #trending #digitalmarketing #covid #o #snapchat #socialmediamarketing¹

Khanya Mtshali is a writer and a critic. Khanya has bylines in pretty much every noteworthy publication in South Africa, and quite a few overseas too. Not only that, she's now a published author as she spent her time in lockdown writing a book on South African advertising called "It's Not Inside, It's On Top". The book takes a critical look at how advertising has been shaped by the politics of the time and gives some fresh perspectives to phrases and images that are burned into our collective consciousness. We chat about the decline of the media industry, the mental minefield that is social media, the challenges of writing a research-based book in a pandemic, and wrestling. Lots, and lots of wrestling. Khanya Mase is a fierce defender for human rights and is a development practitioner who has 4 years post-undergraduate experience working in various fields including non-governmental organisations, inter-governmental organisations, national human rights commissions, academia, and semi corporate within the mining and extractives environment. By profession she works as a Company Secretary at the South African Women in Mining Association (SAWIMA). By God's divine intervention, she is a mother to a 7-year-old. She went to an all-girls high school and after taking a gap year, she enrolled for an LLB at Wits. During her studies she was involved in the fees must fall movement which was one of the first signals of her commitment to social justice. Like many undergraduate law scholars, she had dreams of working at a big 5 law firm and it was in her third year of her studies after doing vac-work where she realised the corporate environment was not a good fit for her. In response to this realization, she later on in the year took up a job as a field worker at the Socio-Economic Rights Institute of South Africa (SERI) where she conducted research and interviews on a case involving informal traders. This experience coupled with her academic devotion to Constitutional law leaned her towards a career focused on human rights. She is also the recipient of the Wits Michael Schewitz award 2015, was a Deans List scholar and a member of the Golden Key. Upon completing her LLB, she pursued her masters with the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria and completed her mini dissertation on an exchange programme in Kenya with the University of Nairobi on the rights of informal traders. While in Nairobi she worked as a Legal Intern at an NGO dealing with Governance issues called Katiba Institute. Her time in Kenya coincided with the 2017 elections, and propped her further into the practical side of Democratisation and Governance. Upon her return to South Africa in 2018, she applied for an internship with UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Kenya, however, due to various factors could not make the move to Kenya on an interns budget. In light of this, it was only fitting that she join the South African Human Rights Commission. She worked as a Legal Research Intern under the CEO of the Commission. Throughout the year she explored various other opportunities including working as a Legal and Governance Intern at the Graca Machel Trust which ignited her passion for Corporate Governance within the NGO sector. She also worked for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights as a Human Rights Intern. In the summer of 2018, she received a job offer to work as a full-time lecturer in the school of law at Varsity College Pretoria. She worked in that role for 8 months and in March of that year assumed her role as a part-time Company Secretary with SAWIMA. She joined the company full time in July 2019 and has been with the company since. Outside of law, she is an aspiring farmer and is working towards starting a renewable energy business. She also wants to start building her own property investment portfolio and looks forward to one day doing her pupillage as she endeavors to contribute meaningfully to the human rights discourse and propel the development agenda in Africa within the African Union. ——— Please don't forget to rate and review the podcast if you're listening on Apple podcast. I'm often asked if I coach men or if there are any men in my courses - the answer to both questions is yes. We have men in the #MoneyMagic course, most of them are silent and will comment sporadically but every so often I will receive an email from one of them thanking me for the course and sharing how their finances have radically improved. We do, however, have a very active man in the student group, his name is Khanya Ngonyama, and he openly shares his insights and even his emotions from the meditations, so I decided it would be great to sit down and talk to him about his money journey. Khanya is a water and environmental engineer and a real estate investor (we featured him on episode 26 of the Property Magicians Podcast). In the interview, Khanya shares how he is a big reader and always went after knowledge and would apply that practical knowledge to his money journey but he struggled to get the results he wanted. As he started working on money trauma, he was able to start changing his view of money and hard work and since joining the course 2 and a half months ago, he has managed to pay off his credit card debt and personal loan and also create 2 new streams of income. This week on Ugly Girls Club we discuss tokenism through the great female beefs in Hip Hop history. We look at how whiteness, male gaze and other factors contributed to the Lil Kim vs Foxy Brown AND Nicki Minaj vs Cardi feuds including how these women fell for the trap of Tokenism. My guest, Khanya Bonani, and I also discuss our own tokenism stories including the controversial diversity vs token hire. I have decided to split this episode into two parts because our conversation was long and thoughtful. In episode 26, we interview Khanya Ngonyama on how he was able to go from 0 to 8 properties in 6 years. Khanya is a water and environmental engineer and he runs a small water company. A few years ago, he started thinking about financial freedom and realized that having one salary is not sustainable, that's when he started looking into various investment vehicles and eventually decided on property investing. He joined P3 Investments and was adviced to start building a real estate portfolio. He did his research and decided to build his portfolio by buying properties below R600, 000 (US$40,000) and based on location. He decided to target Kempton Park, Boksburg and Pretoria North in Gauteng, South Africa, because thats where a lot of companies are, so there are employees who could be tenants. His first property was a single one bedroom property in Pretoria. He bought his second property off plan, using R30, 000 (US$2,000) in savings to pay down the deposit. After that, he decided to buy 1 property a year and focused his attention on building his credit, learning how to buy property on auction and building relationships with agents in order to make his goal of one property a year a reality. Click play and hear how Khanya has been growing his property portfolio.
