Send us Fan MailOn today's episode, Luis Delgado is joined by Eric Goodson on Kayak Fishing Weekly to talk about the best river bass fishing baits for June. In this episode we break down the top 3 confidence baits for catching largemouth bass, spotted bass, and smallmouth bass in rivers during the month of June. These are the exact lures we are using to target bass around current seams, shoals, laydowns, rock, and other high-percentage river structure. Whether you're fishing from a kayak, bass boat, or the bank, these June bass fishing techniques will help you put more fish in the boat.If you fish rivers during the summer and want to know what baits are producing right now, this video will save you time and help you develop a pattern faster.
June is one of the most exciting months to be on the water — but only if you know where to look. Bass are scattered across multiple depths and cover types all at the same time, and the anglers who stay flexible are the ones who load the boat. In this episode, we break down exactly where June bass are hiding, from shaded shallow cover like docks, laydowns, and grass lines to deeper structure like points, humps, ledges, and channel swings. We cover the best soft plastic baits and presentations for both worlds, when to slow down and pitch to tight cover, and when to move and cover water to find the pattern faster. Whether fish are still recovering from the spawn in the shallows or already pushing to their summer haunts, we've got the adjustments you need to stay on them all day long.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/bass-cast-radio--1838782/support.Become a Patreon memebet now for less then a pack of worms you can support Bass Cast Radio as well as get each epsiode a day early & commercial free. Send us Fan MailIn this episode of the Serious Angler Podcast, we sit down with YouTube standout Blake Miller from @BDBassin to dive into his strategy for stepping outside the traditional tackle box, explaining how experimenting with unique, unconventional baits and color patterns can trigger strikes from highly pressured bass that ignore standard presentations. We also pull back the curtain on the business of fishing, discussing the grind of the content creator lifestyle, what it really takes to grow an audience, and actionable strategies to succeed and stand out in the crowded 2026 fishing media landscape.
I had a chance to sit down with Evan from Zero Trace Baits here at the Professional Outdoor Media Association Summit in Minnesota. This young entrepreneur has come up with a genius biodegradable bait system and he's sharing how it started, how it's going and how he's making a difference in the fishing world. Links: Website
The spring-to-summer transition is one of the most exciting — and most confusing — times to be on the water. Bass are constantly shifting between pre-spawn, spawn, and post-spawn phases, and if you don't know what to look for, you'll spend more time searching than catching. In this episode, we break down exactly how to locate and target bass at every stage, from staging areas and spawning flats to post-spawn drop-offs and rocky structure. We cover how to read key transitional features like points, channels, and depth breaks, when to burn a reaction bait and when to slow down with finesse, and how grassy versus rocky lakes fish completely differently this time of year. Whether fish are shallow, suspended, or already pushing deeper, we'll show you how to stay one step ahead all day long.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/bass-cast-radio--1838782/support.Become a Patreon memebet now for less then a pack of worms you can support Bass Cast Radio as well as get each epsiode a day early & commercial free. Heavy rain doesn't automatically mean good or bad fishing — it's everything that happens after the storm that determines whether you get bit. In this episode, we break down exactly how bass respond to post-rain conditions, from rising and falling water levels to muddy visibility, temperature swings, and added current. Whether the fish push shallow into newly flooded cover or retreat to deeper structure, we'll show you how to read the conditions in real time and make the right adjustments. Plus, we cover the best baits and presentations — slow and finesse or big and loud — to trigger strikes no matter what the water throws at you.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/bass-cast-radio--1838782/support.Become a Patreon memebet now for less then a pack of worms you can support Bass Cast Radio as well as get each epsiode a day early & commercial free. This week on the Alabama Saltwater Fishing Report, Captain Tanner Deas fills in and checks in offshore with Captain Chris Vecsey for a trip that turned into a serious meat haul. What started as a tuna plan shifted to targeting a strong temp break near the Spur, where they boxed three solid wahoo on deep-diving plugs. After the troll slowed down, they pivoted again and quickly hooked up on swordfish in 1,500-plus feet, landing a 100-pound-class fish and proving the value of reading electronics and staying flexible. Inshore, Captain Richard Rutland breaks down a strange, dry winter that has left fish scattered and inconsistent across Mobile Bay and the rivers. Trout have been keyed in on smaller-profile baits like the Slick Junior, with subtle retrieves and lighter jig heads outperforming bigger, flashier presentations. They also talk about how slick-calm days can make shallow fish spooky, why a little wind can help, and how the bull redfish bite on the south end of the bay has been heating up. From pelagic pivots offshore to fine-tuning winter trout patterns inshore, this episode is all about adjusting on the fly. If you're fishing this warm trend and trying to stay ahead of changing conditions, there's plenty here to sharpen your approach.
