After Prophet Muhammad declared Ali ibn Abi Talib's successorship, the angel Gabriel descended with an extension of the verse Quran 5:3, adding "today I have perfected your religion for you, and I have completed my blessing upon you, and I have approved Islam as your religion", showing that there's a version of Islam that's perfected and a version that's incomplete. After the kutba, the people were commanded to pledge allegiance to Imam Ali, and the prophet instructed them to greet him with the title Commander of the Faithful. The Prophet instructed Ali to sit in a tent across from his own tent and ordered the Muslims to enter in groups to congratulate him and refer to him with the new title. This process took three days, and included the Muajirun, Ansar, outling Arab tribes, and the prophet's wives.By requiring the Muslim community to personally greet Ali with the new title, the Prophet legitimized Imam Ali's position and left no room for doubt in the mind of anyone present. Many sources say the companions of the prophet came to Imam Ali and congratulated him on the leadership. The first to address him was Umar ibn Al-Khattab, saying "O Ali, you have become my master and the master of every momin and momina"After the three days had passed in Ghadir, a man from the tribe of Banu Makhzum (a staunch enemy of the prophet) arrived and said "O Muhammad, I wish to ask you about three matters..." and he asked if the shahadah, if the laws of islam, and if Ali's successorship was from the prophet or from Allah. When the prophet replied that they were all from Allah, the man became very angry and said "Oh Allah, if Muhammad is truthful then blast me with fire" and within minutes he was struck by lightning.Lecture notes available at http://www.why-quran.org/?p=777.Subscribe at http://www.why-quran.org/subscribe to watch the lectures live and participate in the Q&A at the end of each class.Video recording of this lecture + Q&A available on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9hESB_xSZA&list=PLpkB0iwLgfTat-Pgh4W3WFmupPamiC9UT.

Allahumma Innaka Afuwwun Tuhibbul Afwa fa'fu Anni, is one of the best Dua's for forgiveness. This Dua was recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) to Aisha (RA) to supplicate on the Night of Decree; i.e. Laylatul Qadr. Was reported by Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) that:I asked: “O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?” He (SAWS) replied, “You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa'fu ‘anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).” – At-TirmidhiAllaahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibb al-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni."Oh Allah, You are the Most forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me."
As the holy month of Ramadan approaches its close, we are reminded how important the last 10 days of Ramadan really are. This dua should be recited on Laylatul Qadr, so it is the best dua for the last 10 days of Ramadan. Recite this dua every night, as much as you can, over these last 10 days of Ramadan to receive Allah's (SWT) mercy.Allaahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibb al-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni."Oh Allah, You are the Most forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me."

In this episode, our beloved Ustadh Mohamed Bajour talks about a dua which gets instant response from our ra'bb Allah (S.W.T). Can you imagine? In this modern world, we don't even get instant reply from our friends/family. And our ra'bb Allah is responding to us instantly? AllahuAkbar! Say these four words, Suban'allah - Walhamdulliah - Wa ilaha illallah - WallahuAkbar and then say Allahumma Ghfirli , Allahumma Warhamni , Allahumma Warzuqni. Meaning Oh Allah, forgive my sins. Oh Allah have mercy on me. Oh Allah provide me with rizq. May Allah make our tongue regular with this dua and make us among who do the righteous deeds. May Allah make us among who listen and apply.
It's said that life is a test. If one problem gets solved, other one is on its way. Some days we are strong enough to fight it off and some days we are not. There are some days where we get knocked down badly. There's chaos everywhere in our mind. On such days we should try to be content with Allah. Our beloved brother Sh. Yahya Ibrahim takes the most perfect example of our Prophet (peace be upon him) to explain how we can be grateful to Allah in tough situations and hence we do not fall into the trap of Shaytaan of self-doubt and bad thoughts. On any day if it feels you can't take it anymore, just raise your hand and ask Allah to make ease for you. Say HasbunAllahu Wanimal wakil . Oh Allah you are sufficient for us. My problems are huge but you are greater than all of our problems and sufficient for us. May Allah make us among who listen and apply. May Allah make it easy for us.
Episode 44: Hamza (ra) Accepts Islam and The Aftermath of The Migration to Abyssinia Welcome to Seerah Pearls, which aims to highlight some tantalising learning points from each episode of the Seerah- Life of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). After the Encounter with the Negus When Amr bin al-Aas came back to Makkah, he locked himself in his house and would not mix with anyone. This was unusual, as he was a leader and a businessman. He was deeply affected by the Negus accepting Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) as a Messenger. Later, some people came to Madina from Abyssinia. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) went and got food and supplies for them. The Sahaba said they would take care of it. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said, ‘These people honoured my companions when we were few and oppressed. Today, it is my honour that I get to serve them.' The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) had this lasting gratitude towards the people of Abyssinia. Whenever the Negus was challenged about his faith, he had a piece of paper on which he wrote his testimony of being a Muslim: he kept this hidden in pockets made in shirts over his heart. He would place his hand on his heart and say, ‘This is exactly what I believe'. The Quran confirms that if someone fears for their life, they can say what they need to say, but keep firm on their iman in their heart. Acceptance of Islam by Hamza (RA) Hamza (RA) was the uncle of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and also a milk brother (Thuwaybah, a slave of Abu Lahab breast fed them both). Close in age, they were friendly and close, growing up as brothers. The majority of scholars say Hamza (RA) accepted Islam after the migration to Abyssinia. Before Islam, he was a much respected individual. Hamza (RA) was the centre of attention, renowned for his fighting abilities as a warrior, ambidextrous swordsman and hunter. Whilst Hamza (RA) was away one day on a hunting trip, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) went to the Ka'ba and crossed paths with Abu Jahl. Abu Jahl started to berate and insult him. Witnessed by a slave woman, after Hamza (RA) returned from the hunt, she informed him that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) was treated abysmally by Abu Jahl. In a rage, Hamza (RA) goes to Abu Jahl and hits him over the head with his bow, making him bleed. Hamza (RA) commented that if Abu Jahl disrespected Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), he would have to deal with himself. Abu Jahl remarked that it seemed like he had left their religion: Hamza (RA) affirms his belief in the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). A huge fight is about to ensue, but Abu Jahl tells everyone to back down, confirming that he did curse the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) badly. Hamza (RA) leaves the scene and is emotional about what just happened: did he really believe or was this a hasty reaction? He makes dua: ‘Oh Allah, if this is true then put the truth into my heart and make me firm and if it is not, then Allah give me a way out'. His night passed in tension and finally he goes to the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) for support and advice. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) inspires and warns him and eventually Hamza (RA) accepts the iman in his heart. Hamza's (RA) conversion was a huge source of comfort and confidence for the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Three days after this, Umar (RA) accepted Islam.
Alee ibn Abu Talib (ra) session 223. "The day judgement will not arrive until two parties fight with similar claims." (Bukharee) "A rebellious group will emerge and will be destroyed by the closer of the two groups to the truth." (Muslim) "An affair lingering day and night will not come to an end until Muawiyah (ra) is at the helm of the state." (Daylami) "Before the world ends the muslim ummah will agree to the rule of Muawiyah (ra)." "Oh Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى make him a guide, one guided and guide others through him." (Tirmidi)
Alee ibn Abu Talib (ra) session 178. Umar (ra) saw Alee (ra) worthy of successorship. Dua of Rasulullah ﷺ; "Oh Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى I find no other man fit to succeed me after the two righteous ones other than him (referring to Alee, ra). Oh Allah decree what is better for him." (Tabarani) Umar (ra) commands the six consultants. Remarkable final moments in Umar's (ra) passing.
Jumu'ah Khutbah recorded at Green Lane Masjid, Birmingham, UK.https://www.greenlanemasjid.org
There will be a bridge called Sirat (path, pass) which will be built over Hell upon Allahu Taala's command. Everybody will be ordered to cross that bridge. That day, all prophets will entreat: “Oh Allah! Protect us!” People who are to go to Paradise will cross the bridge easily and reach Paradise. Some of them will pass with the speed of lightning, some with that of wind, and some others like a galloping horse. The Sirat Bridge will be thinner than a hair and sharper than a sword. Adapting yourself to Islam in this world has a similar aspect; adapting yourself precisely to Islam is like crossing the Sirat. Those who endure the difficulty of struggling with their sensual desires (influenced by the nafs) here will cross the Sirat easily there. Those who do not follow Islam because of the nafs will cross the Sirat with difficulty. For this reason, the right path pointed out by Islam is called the “Sirat al-Mustaqim” (the True Path) by Allahu Taala. This similarity in names shows that staying within Islam's path is like crossing the Sirat. Those who deserve Hell will fall off the Sirat down into Hell.
The Clear Evidence In this exceptional period, that the whole world is going through, it has been incumbent on us to present to generations and to history THIS DOCUMENTARY and because praising Allah is the key to all blessings, we say, “Oh Allah, Yours Is All Praise”. Islamic Folklore The Ant Prays For Rain English Edition Podcast Version Based From The Holy Quran and Al-Hadith Once there was a big famine in Palestine. It was during the time of the Prophet, Prophet Sulaiman AS (King Solomon). He came out with his people and proceeded to an open place in the desert to pray for the rains to come. Suddenly, he saw an ant standing on its two legs, raising its hands up towards the sky and saying, “Oh Allah! We are but very small among all Thy creatures. We cannot survive without Thy grace. Please bestow upon us Thy sustenance and do not punish us because of the sins of human beings. Please send down the rains so that trees can grow, farms become green and grains become available and we have our food to eat.” Prophet Sulaiman AS knew the language of all animals. He told his people, “Let us go home. The prayer of this ant is enough.” It then rained heavily and all the land became green and productive. The ant is an intelligent creature. During warm days it collects and stores grain inside the holes. It knows that during wet and cold months, it would not be able to go out to search for food. For fear that grain may start growing because of wetness, it splits it into two or more pieces. At times, during moonlit nights, it brings the split grains out of the stores for drying and preservation against decay. The holes under the ground are made very carefully and covered with shelter to prevent the rain water from getting inside the holes. The ant, unlike the other animals, can lift a burden twice its own weight. It is not a selfish creature. When an ant finds some store of food grains, it runs up to its group and takes its fellow ants to that place. It shows everyone of them its own find of the store. They always behave in this manner. They work and live in co-operation with each other. This shows how the ant works for the group and how each of them fulfils the needs and livelihood of its fellow-beings. How shameful it is for a man, who has no regard for another man; who has no concern for his fellow human beings who could be starving because of want of food. Once, while Prophet Sulaiman was travelling together with hosts of men, jinn and birds, they reached a valley of ants. When the chief of these ants witnessed the pomp and the glory with which Prophet Sulaiman AS and his companions were approaching toward it. He warned all the ants to get into their holes lest they got trampled and crushed unknowingly by the approaching men and Jinn. Prophet Sulaiman AS smiled at this warning sounded by the ants’ chief, and ordered his companions to wait till the ants went inside their holes. “None of us should hurt any ant while passing over their land”, he said. It is said that Prophet Sulaiman AS addressed the chief of the ants and said: “How could my people hurt you or your fellow ants when they are floating through air! Don’t you know that I am a messenger of God and would never act unfairly?” The chief of the ants replied: “O Messenger of God! My cautioning the ants was not for any hurt that they would suffer but to prevent them getting astray and forgetting the glory of God after seeing your pomp and show.” There is a deep meaning in this event. It shows that even the most humble and smallest of creatures has been endowed with the necessary wisdom to live safely and avoid being hurt as far as possible. It also shows, how even a small ant does have the natural understanding of the true position of Allah. It imparts a lesson that one should not forget the true might and glory of Allah when one experiences a great power and dignity of any creature in this world. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jannah-firdaus-mediapro/message

Oh Allah, this is the limit of what I know, I don’t know why things happen the way they do but I know that I worship you and I seek you and I submit to you and I accept that whatever it is I’m your servant and you’re my lord.
Stress is inherent in current society. Ustadh Michael Wolfender relates ‘pills are not the solution,’ though 1 in 6 Americans uses antidepressant medication. Qur’an has antidotes for stress. In Surah Al-Hijr, Allah says those who didn’t accept His message will wish they did. We are instructed to serve Allah until we reach death. Praising and declaring the perfection of Allah is a means of handling stress. And the reward for enduring this life is illustrated in Surah Fatir (translated as Originator) verses 33 - 35. Until we earn that reward, we can alleviate stress by reciting the last three surahs. Say this at night three times, blow on your hands and wipe them over your body. When a person (leaving their home) says: بسم الله توكلت على الله ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله “In the name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah, and there is no opportunity and no power except with Allah,” the Angels reply: ‘You have been protected, you have been sufficed, you have been guided.’In Surah An-Nahl (translated as The Bee) verse 97, we learn by performing good deeds and keeping faith, Allah will make sure such a believer has a happy life. Finally, whoever feels some sort of stress and says the following dua, Allah will remove it and turn it into happiness:Oh Allah, I am Your slave, the son of Your slave, my forelock is at Your hand, Your decision is a done deal for me, Your decree is fair to me. I asked You by all Your names, that You have given Yourself, that You have revealed in Your Book, or that You have taught any of Your creation, or that You have kept secret with You in Your knowledge of the Unseen, that You make the Qur'an the spring (joy) of my heart, the light of my chest, the relief of my sadness, and the removal of my worries. [This related in Musnad Ahmed, rated sound by Ibn Hajar and by al-Albani]Support the show (http://www.goodtreeacademy.org/donate?id=pd)

Angel Jibrail (AS) told Prophet Muhammad SAW the following incident about a man in the past who worshipped Allah Ta'ala continuously for 500 years. He was granted a shelter on top of a mountain that was surrounded by salty water. However, Allah caused a stream of sweet water to flow through the mountain for that individual. The man would drink from this water and use it to make ablution. Allah Ta'ala also raised a pomegranate tree from which the man would eat one fruit every day. One day, this person supplicated to Allah SWT (God) that, "Oh Allah, bring my death while I am in the state of prostration." Allah accepted this dua of his. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jannah-firdaus-mediapro/message
Today’s episode talks about being grateful to Allah and remembering the promises we make to Him. Sh. Omar Suleiman explains this lesson through the prayer of Uwais al-Qarni. [ Day 18 Du’a ] “Oh Allah cure all of my leprosy except for the space of a coin.”
In this lesson, Ustadh Amjad Tarsin, reviews the chapter on Hajj from Imam Al-Ghazali's Ihya Ulum al-Din. Imam Al-Ghazali begins by outlining a general rule: that one cannot draw nearer to Allah except through letting go of their worldly attachments. Ustadh Amjad explains that Hajj, unlike any other forms of worship, cannot be rationalized as to the meaning behind each of its actions. The only lesson that one can derive from Hajj is that you are a servant to Allah and you need to fulfill His commands. Imam Al-Ghazali outlines in this chapter the etiquettes that one must have during Hajj: [1] Yearning for the two Holy mosques: this yearning stems from an understanding that this is the House of God, placed for you to fulfill your servitude. The reward for which is gazing upon Allah in the Hereafter. [2] Buying the two garments of Ihram: then the person should remember that they will be buried in this clothing and even though you have put on these garments you might not actually make it to the Hajj but you will meet Allah in them. In this lesson, Ustadh Amjad Tarsin, reviews the chapter on Hajj from Imam Al-Ghazali’s Ihya Ulum al-Din.
