Quran Garden - The Holy Quran Explained in Clear English (English Tafsir)
Abdullah ibn Masâud said: Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, asked me to recite the Quran for him. I said: âO Messenger of Allah, how could I possibly recite to you what was sent down to you?â He replied: âYes, I love to hear it recited by someone else.â So I recited Surah al-Nisaa until I reached this verse: âHow, then, will it be when We bring forward a witness from every nation, and bring you as a witness against them?â He said: âEnough.â I looked up and saw his eyes filled with tears.
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,The Companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (the Sahabah) are the best generation of this Ummah. Allah praised them in the Qur'an, and the Prophet ﷺ affirmed their excellence in many authentic hadith. Love for them is part of faith, while hatred towards them is hypocrisy. In this post, we will explore Quranic verses and authentic narrations highlighting their rank and why they remain role models for all Muslims.Allah the Most High declared His pleasure with the earliest Muslims who sacrificed everything for His cause:“And the first forerunners among the Muhajirun and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct – Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him.” (Qur'an 9:100, Quran.com)This verse establishes their lofty status and guarantees Allah's pleasure for the sincere followers of their path.Similarly, Allah commands the later generations of believers:“And those who came after them say: Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith, and put not in our hearts any resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.” (Qur'an 59:10, Quran.com)The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ explicitly confirmed the superiority of his Companions:“The best of my nation is my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3650, Sahih Muslim 2533, Sunnah.com)This hadith establishes that the Sahabah are the best of people after the Prophets. Following their way is guidance, while opposing them is misguidance. It was reported that Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: “Who are the best people after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?” He replied: “Abu Bakr.” They asked: “Then who?” He said: “Umar.” They asked: “Then who?” He said: “Uthman.” When asked about himself, he said: “I am only a man among the Muslims.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3671, Sunnah.com)Furthermore, Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) said: “During the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ, we used to consider the best of people to be Abu Bakr, then Umar, then Uthman.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3697, Sunnah.com)The Prophet ﷺ gave glad tidings of Jannah to ten companions by name:“Abu Bakr is in Paradise, Umar is in Paradise, Uthman is in Paradise, Ali is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, al-Zubayr ibn al-‘Awwam is in Paradise, Abdur Rahman ibn Awf is in Paradise, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, Sa'id ibn Zayd is in Paradise, and Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah is in Paradise.” (Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi 3747, Sunnah.com)This authentic narration highlights their guaranteed success with Allah's mercy. The Prophet ﷺ warned against belittling or insulting the Sahabah:“Do not revile my Companions, for if one of you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, it would not equal a handful of what they spent, nor even half of it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 3673, Sahih Muslim 2540, Sunnah.com)This hadith affirms their incomparable rank. The Prophet ﷺ advised the Ummah to stick to the guidance of the rightly guided Caliphs:Narrated Al-'Irbad bin Sariyah: "One day after the morning Salat, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) exhorted us to the extent that the eyes wept and the hearts shuddered with fear. A man said: 'Indeed this is a farewell exhortation. [So what] do you order us O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'I order you to have Taqwa of Allah, and to listen and obey, even in the case of an Ethiopian slave. Indeed, whomever among you lives, he will see much difference. Beware of the newly invented matters, for indeed they are astray. Whoever among you sees that, then he must stick to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafa', cling to it with the molars.'"Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2676https://sunnah.com/tirmidhi:2676The Sahabah were the best of this Ummah, chosen by Allah to support His Messenger ﷺ. As seekers of knowledge, we must honor their legacy, study their lives, and follow their path sincerely, as Allah and His Messenger have commanded.

Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al Aas (ra) Session 10 Free will & Destiny. Many folk may fall into a trap in believing that 'my path and fate is thus sealed- hence my Lord has been unjust.' In a report, Abu Musa (ra) advises, 'Allah SWT will not be unjust to you,' view Surah 18:49. Do not suspect Allah SWT with respect to His Decree (Ahmad). Umar (ra) asks O Messenger ﷺ, is it a matter that has already been ordained or is it a matter that will be ordained as we go ? It is a matter already ordained! Why should we then exert? The Good cannot be obtained except by working! We will then exert our best O Messenger ﷺ (Ahmad). Belief in destiny removes grief & worry (Haakim). I recognise Allah SWT by the annulment of determinations, Alee (ra) (Al Fiqh Al Akbar).
Hadrat Abu Zharr (ra). Session 36 The Ascetic A bedouin says, O Messenger ﷺ, the drought has consumed us... I fear for you the time when the worldly wealth will be poured on to you, Alas! if only my Ummah would not wear gold (Ahmad). If Allah SWT loves a person, He SWT then shelters him from the world (Ahmad). O Allah SWT Forgive us for our love of this lowly world.
Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 113 The Fox of The Arabs The Prophecy of Hasan (ra) The Messenger ﷺ was once on the pulpit (with Hassan ra a young boy at the time), addressing the people... This son of mine is Sayyid and may Allah SWT make peace between two large groups of Muslims through him (Bukhari). 'Not one drop of blood should be shed on my account' (Ibn Asaakir). 'O Allah SWT keep him safe and keep others safe through him' (Ibn Asaakir). Who is a pious man O Messenger ﷺ? The one who stops when in doubt (Tabarani).
Amr ibn Al-Aas (ra), Session 75 The Fox of The Arabs 'By Hands of Scribes, Honoured and Righteous.' The best of you are those who take the least from the world and desire the hereafter (Baihaqi). I fear for my Ummah after me the denial of Qadr and belief in the stars (Abu Yalaa). 'Speaking ignorantly about Qadr is postponed now and will be done by the worst of my Ummah in later generations' (Ibn Adee). Does Allah SWT determine something for me and then punish me for it ? (Haakim). He SWT never forced you once to disobey Him (SWT) - yet His Knowledge is Absolute , thus His Knowledge of it was from pre-eternity.' Is a matter already ordained or is it a matter that will be ordained as we go ? Umar (ra) It's a matter already ordained! Why should we then exert? No! The Good cannot be attained except by working! We will then exert our best O Messenger ﷺ! (Ahmad).
An-Naba' or The News النبأ, an-nabaʼ also known as "The Tidings", "The Announcement" is the seventy-eighth chapter of the Quran, with forty verses Summary The first twenty verses discuss the wonders of the worldly creation (the earth, plants, the peace of night, the mountains and rain); the final twenty verses are about the eternal wonders and horrors of the next world, with the raging sinner (the Arabic triliteral root TGY "taagheena" is used) being punished starkly opposed with the rewarding of dutiful believers in paradise.[3] The Arabic triliteral root WQY "muttaqeena" is employed as a poetic parataxis to TGY).[citation needed] 1-5 Unbelievers shall yet learn the truth of the resurrection 6-16 God the Creator and Preserver of all things 17-20 Judgment-day scenes described 21-30 The recompense of unbelievers in hell described 31-37 The joys of believers in Paradise described 37-38 No intercessor except by God's permission 39-40 Sinners exhorted to flee from the day of wrath [4] Hadith Abu Ishaq narrated from Ikrima ibn Abi Jahl, from Ibn Abbas who said: "Abu Bakr [may Allah be pleased with him] said: 'O Messenger of Allah! You have become gray.' He said: 'I have gone gray from Hud (surah), Al-Waqi'a, Al-Mursalat and `Amma Yatasa'alun (An-Naba) and Idhash-Shamsu Kuwwirat (At-Takwir).'"[5][relevant? – discuss]
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?” He said: “Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back.”
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has His own people among humanity.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” The Prophet said, “They are the people of the Quran, the people of Allah and His chosen ones.” Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah 215 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani
In this episode we discuss Allah's name Al Mumin, as The Ultimate Testifier of Truth, The One Who Inspires and Confirms faith in others, and The One Who Grants peace and security to the believers. The following dua is included towards the end of the episode: Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that Abu Sa`id, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "On the day of Al-Khandaq, we said: `O Messenger of Allahﷺ, is there anything we should say, for our hearts have reached our throats' (meaning in fear and anxiety) Heﷺsaid: «نَعَمْ، قُولُوا: *اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِنَا وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِنَا*» (Yes, say: *O Allah, cover our weak points and calm our fears*) Then Allah struck the faces of the enemy with the wind, and defeated them with the wind. This was also recorded by Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal from Abu `Amir Al-`Aqadi. - From the Tafsir of Surah Al Ahzab in Tafsir Ibn Katheer
The discussion surrounding decision-making and pursuing one's dreams while having immigrant parents is always challenging for most young adults. While you deeply appreciate the sacrifices they have made, it also brings a sense of pressure to meet their expectations. As you progress in life and make choices that may be Islamically correct but deviate from the "ideal child mold," finding a balance between pleasing your parents and prioritizing your own happiness can be difficult. This episode delves into precisely this topic. ☆☆ Abdullah ibn Mas'ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Never is a servant struck by worry or grief but let him say, ‘O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, the son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand, Your decision over me has passed, and Your decree upon me is in justice. I ask You by every name with which You have named Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught to one of Your creatures, or kept hidden in the Unseen with You, that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light within me, the banisher of my depression, and the expeller of my anxiety,' then Allah will expel his worry and replace his grief with joy.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, should we study these words?” The Prophet said, “Of course, whoever hears them should study them.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān 972 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/islamicfeelings/support
Allah (?????? ??????) in Surah Al-Qadr and the Prophet in many hadiths talk about the majesty of Laylatul Qadr, the ?Night of Power?. It is a night of great mercy, rewards and blessings from our Rabb (?????? ??????); a night where acts of worship and good deeds performed are worth more than a 1,000 months (83 years) of worship ? a whole LIFETIME of ibadaat; and a night of great forgiveness from Allah (?????? ??????) for our sins. SubhanAllah! Insha'Allah let's take full advantage of this night and utilize this video to recite and memorize one of the great supplications (du'as / prayer) that can undoubtedly lead us to Jannah. It was narrated from ?Aishah (May God be pleased with her) that she said: ?O Messenger of Allah, what do you think I should say in my supplication, if I come upon the Night of Value ?? He said: ?Say: O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.'? (Reported by at-Tirmidhi as Hasan Saheeh.) The significance of this Night of Power is that it marked the revelation of the Glorious Qur?an and the birth of a COMPREHENSIVE DEEN that brought with it solutions to every problem that mankind would face as individuals, as a society? be it spiritual, moral, economic, family, social, legal, or political. These solutions from the Deen of Islam are unmatched to anything that mankind can produce! We ask Allah (?????? ??????) to accept from all of us our fasts, Qiyam, and all acts of worship and good deeds. Ameen. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Don't forget to like, share, and leave a comment below with your thoughts. Surah Maidah, The Table Spread verse 36-37 Session 27 The Shifaa of The Messenger ﷺ, The Intercession Some believed that the Intercession is not true but were corrected by Jabbir ibn Abdullah (as), Surah 17 v79 The PraiseWorthy Station. One asked, O Messenger ﷺ ask for Kingdom of Sulayman (as); Maybe I have been given better than that (Intercession). I'm an excellent Man ﷺ for my ummah as long as they don't diminish the rank of my Companions. The Most Hopeful verse as stated by Alee (ra), Surah Doha verse 5. The Intercession of Jibreel, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa (as) & finally The Messenger ﷺ. Maqam Mahmooda, The PraiseWorthy Station - The Messenger ﷺ is allowed to sit on The Throne and Kursi, is inspired by Allah SWT and is donned with green garments. Those who turn away from The Remembrance are given a narrowed down life (Surah 2 v124), these will lack contentment and become greedy for worldy goods.
Allahumma Innaka Afuwwun Tuhibbul Afwa fa'fu Anni, is one of the best Dua's for forgiveness. This Dua was recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) to Aisha (RA) to supplicate on the Night of Decree; i.e. Laylatul Qadr. Was reported by Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) that:I asked: “O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?” He (SAWS) replied, “You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa'fu ‘anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).” – At-TirmidhiAllaahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibb al-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni."Oh Allah, You are the Most forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me."
In this Ramadan series of lectures, Shaykh Saleem reviews Surah al-Fath (48) - The Chapter of the Victory. In part 2, he goes over the second and third verses: "That God may forgive you (O Messenger) your lapses of the past and those to follow, and complete His favor on you, and guide you (to steadfastness) on a straight path (leading to God's being pleased with You and eternal happiness. And that God may help you to a glorious, mighty achievement."
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also described them in the following terms: “My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.” This is mentioned in the hadeeth of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr which was recorded and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2641). It was also classed as hasan by al-‘Iraaqi in Ahkaam al-Qur'aan (3/432), al-‘Iraaqi in Takhreej al-Ihya' (3/284) and al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
(6:1) All praise is for Allah alone, Who created the heavens and the earth, and brought into being light and darkness, and yet those who have rejected the call of the Truth ascribe others to be equals to their Lord. (6:2) He it is Who has created you out of clay, and then decreed a term (of life), and has also appointed another term, a term determined with Him. Yet you are in doubt! (6:3) And He it is Who is One True God in the heavens and in the earth. He knows your deeds - both secret and open - and knows fully whatever you earn. (6:4) Yet every time a sign of their Lord comes to them, they turn away from it, (6:5) and thus they gave the lie to the Truth that has now come to them. Soon they will come upon some news concerning what they had mocked at. (6:6) Have they not seen how many a people We have destroyed before them? People whom We had made more powerful in the earth than you are and upon them We showered from the heavens abundant rains, and at whose feet We caused the rivers to flow? And then (when they behaved ungratefully) We destroyed them for their sins, and raised other peoples in their place. (6:7) (O Messenger!) Had We sent down to you a book incribed on parchment, and had they even touched it with their own hands, the unbelievers would still have said: 'This is nothing but plain magic.' (6:8) They also say: 'Why has no angel been sent down to this Prophet?' Had We sent down an angel, the matter would surely have long been decided and no respite would have been granted them. (6:9) Had We appointed an angel, We would have sent him down in the form of a man - and thus We would have caused them the same doubt which they now entertain. (6:10) And indeed before your time (O Muhammad!) many a Messenger has been scoffed at; but those who mocked at them were encompassed by the Truth they had scoffed at. (6:11) Say: 'Go about journeying the earth, and behold the end of those who gave the lie (to the Truth).' (6:12) Ask thern: 'To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and on the earth?' Say: 'Everything belongs to Allah.' He has bound Himself to the exercise of mercy (and thus does not chastise you for your disobedience and excesses instantly). Surely He will gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection - the coming of which is beyond doubt; but those who have courted their own ruin are not going to believe. (6:13) And to Him belongs all that dwells in the night and the day. He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (6:14) Say: 'Shall I take for my guardian anyone other than Allah - the Originator of the heavens and earth; He Who feeds and Himself is not fed?' Say: 'Surely I have been commanded to be the first among those who submit (to Allah) and not to be one of those who associate others with Allah in His divinity (even though others may do so).' (6:15) Say: 'Surely do I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the chastisement of an awesome Day. (6:16) Whosoever has been spared chastisement on that Day, Allah has bestowed His mercy upon him. That is the manifest triumph. (6:17) Should Allah touch you with affliction, there is none to remove it but He; and should He touch you with good, He has the power to do everything. (6:18) He has the supreme hold over His servants. He is All-Wise, All-Aware. (6:19) Ask them: 'Whose testimony is the greatest?' Say: 'Allah is the witness between me and you; and this Qur'an was revealed to me that I should warn you thereby and also whomsoever it may reach.' Do you indeed testify that there are other gods with Allah? Say: 'I shall never testify such a thing.' Say: 'He is the One God and I am altogether averse to all that you associate with Him in His divinity.' (6:20) Those whom We have given the Book will recognize this just as they recognize their own ofspring; but those who have courted their own ruin will not believe.....
(11:1) Alif. Lam. Ra. This is a Divine Command whose contents have been made firm and set forth in detail from One Who is All-Wise, All-Aware (11:2) that you may worship none but Allah. Verily, I have come to you as a warner and a bearer of good news from Him (11:3) that you may seek forgiveness of your Lord and turn to Him in repentance whereupon He will grant you a fair enjoyment of life until an appointed term, and will bestow favour on everyone who merits favour. But should you turn away (from the truth), I fear for you the chastisement of an Awesome Day. (11:4) Unto Allah is your return, and He has power to do everything. (11:5) Lo! They fold up their breasts that they may conceal themselves from Him. Surely when they cover themselves up with their garments Allah knows well what they cover and what they reveal. Indeed He even knows the secrets hidden in the breasts. (11:6) There is not a single moving creature on the earth but Allah is responsible for providing its sustenance. He knows where it dwells and where it will permanently rest. All this is recorded in a clear Book. (11:7) And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and [before that] His Throne was upon the water that He may test you, who of you is better in conduct If you were to say (O Muhammad): 'All of you will surely be raised after death', then those who disbelieve will certainly say: 'This is nothing but plain sorcery. (11:8) And were We to put off the chastisement from them for a determined period, they will cry out: 'What withholds Him from chastising?' Surely when the day of the chastisement will come, nothing will avert it and the chastisement which they had ridiculed shall encompass them. (11:9) If We ever favour man with Our Mercy, and then take it away from him, he becomes utterly desperate, totally ungrateful. (11:10) And if We let him taste favour after harm has touched him, he says: 'All my ills are gone', and he suddenly becomes exultant and boastful, (11:11) except those who are patient and act righteously. Such shall have Allah's forgiveness and a great reward. (11:12) (O Messenger!) Let it not happen that you omit (to expound) a portion of what was revealed to you. And do not be distressed that they will say: 'Why was a treasure not bestowed upon him?' or 'Why did no angel accompany him?' For you are merely a warner, whereas Allah has control over everything. (11:13) Do they say: 'He has invented this Book himself?' Say: 'If that is so, bring ten surahs the like of it of your composition, and call upon all (the deities) you can other than Allah to your help. Do so if you are truthful.' (11:14) Then if (your deities) do not respond to your call for help then feel assured that this Book was revealed with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no true god but Him. Will you, then, surrender (to this truth)? (11:15) Those who seek merely the present world and its adornment. We fully recompense them for their work in this world, and they are made to suffer no diminution in it concerning what is their due. (11:16) They are the ones who shall have nothing in the Hereafter except Fire. (There they shall come to know) that their deeds in the world have come to naught; and that whatever they have done is absolutely useless.....
Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “There are no days during which the righteous action is so pleasing to Allah than these days (i.e., the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah).” He was asked: “O Messenger of Allah, not even Jihad in the Cause of Allah?” He (ﷺ)… Continue reading Dhul Hijja Reminder The post Dhul Hijja Reminder appeared first on Mahmood Habib Masjid and Islamic Centre - We came to give, not to take..
Surah Al-Kawthar is amongst the shortest yet most memorized and meaningful chapters of the Quran. Many of us learn it at a young age, converts engage it at the onset of their Islam, and likely we recite it on a regular basis in our prayers. In one hadith we find mention of its benefits: It was narrated that Anas in Malik said: "One day when he-the Prophet (ﷺ)- was still among us, he took a nap, then he raised his head, smiling. We said to him: 'Why are you smiling, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Just now this Surah was revealed to me: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Verily, We have granted you (O Muahmmad) Al-Kawthar. Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only). For he who hates you, he will be cut off.' Then he said: 'Do you know what Al-Kawthar is?' We said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said: 'It is a river that my Lord has promised me in Paradise. Its vessels are more than the number of the stars. My Ummah will come to me, then a man among them will be pulled away and I will say: "O Lord, he is one of my Ummah" and He will say to me: 'You do not know what he did after you were gone." Commentary of Verses 13 - 14 13. How many a township there has been, greater in power (and more abundant in wealth) than your township, which has driven you out, (O Messenger). We destroyed them and they had no helper (against Us). 14. Is, then, the one who is (standing) upon a clear evidence from his Lord like him whose evil deeds are decked out to be appealing to him, and (those who) follow their lusts and fancies?
Welcome to another delicious episode of Meat & Potatoes! In this episode, the M&P crew discuss developing Islamic habits, keeping one's spouse satisfied, and not trivializing the small stuff! This episode's hadith: "In acts of intimacy from each of you, there is a sadaqah (charity with the expectation of reward from Allah)." The Companions replied: "O Messenger of God! When one of us fulfills his sexual desire, will he be given a reward for that?" And he said, "Do you not think that were he to act upon it unlawfully, he would be sinning? Likewise, if he acts upon it lawfully, he will be rewarded" -Muslim
USMANI DISCOURSES. English translation and explanation of talks by Mufti Taqi Usmani DB.
In a Hadith the Holy Prophet ﷺ said, “The property of a Muslim is not Halal for you unless he gives it to you happily.” In this Hadith, the Holy Prophet ﷺ has not used the word permission, rather has used the word طیب نفس which translates as ‘happiness of heart'. It means that just taking permission is not enough, rather such permission should have been given happily. Only then it is permissible to use another person's belongings. When the Holy Prophet ﷺ migrated to Medinah, one of his first priorities was to build a masjid there. He saw some empty land which he liked for that purpose. When he inquired who the land belonged to, he found out that it belonged to the people of the Abu Najjar tribe. When people of Abu Najjar heard that the Holy Prophet ﷺ was thinking of building a masjid on their land, they came to the Holy Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah ﷺ. It is our good fortune that the masjid be built on our land. We gift this land to you so that you build the masjid here.” The Holy Prophet ﷺ replied, “No! I won't take this land for free. Tell me the price and I will buy this land from you.”
The M&P crew have their first "dinner guest", Ustadth Isa ibn Matta, join them for a discussion on claiming disbelief in others, judging other Muslims, and the difference between judgement and advice. This episode's hadith:Usamah ibn Zayd reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent us on an expedition. In the morning we attacked Al-Huraqat of Juhaynah. I caught hold of a man and he said, “There is no god but Allah!” but I stabbed him. Then it occurred to me that I should mention that to the Prophet. The Prophet said, “Did he say ‘there is no god but Allah' and you killed him?” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, he only said it fearing the weapon.” The Prophet said, “Did you tear open his heart to know if he meant it or not?” The Prophet continued to repeat this to me until I had wished I had not embraced Islam until that day

Episode 46: Political Unrest in Makkah Welcome to Seerah Pearls, which aims to highlight some tantalising learning points from each episode of the Seerah- Life of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). With Umar (RA) and Hamza (RA) accepting Islam, the Muslims now prayed publicly in congregation at the Haram. Umar (RA) insisted on praying publicly as a student of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), talking through issues out loud. He asked the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), ‘Do we not believe in the truth?', ‘Is not what they believe in wrong?', ‘Do we not have Allah on our side?' He appealed as to what prevented the Muslims from praying publicly. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) concurred with these thoughts and also felt the time was right to do this. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) did not lack courage before this- he had placed a burden of belief on the followers themselves. The question is what are we willing to do for the Deen? The Ummah is a combination of the truth, which remains constant, and our actions. So, they all prayed in congregation at the Haram, but the Quraysh could not do anything. The Quraysh leadership called a meeting. They did not know how to deal the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and his followers. They decided to go back to a previous strategy and talk to his uncle, Abu Talib. They asked for him to reason with his nephew. When the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) became emotional, Abu Talib agreed to continue his support. The Quraysh wanted to approach Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) directly and asked what he wanted: they offered the materials of this life, whereas all he wanted was for Islam to be recognised as a legitimate faith. He said, ‘I do not want position or money. Allah has sent me with a message and I present this to you. If you take this, I am here to tell you you will reap the rewards of Allah here and in the next life. If you reject this, your matter is between you and Allah and he will settle it'. The Quraysh agreed to accept his message as a legitimate message, but they wanted him to recognise their beliefs as valid as well, but the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) declined this. Chaos broke out in the meeting. The Quraysh started to demand miracles from the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), asking for rivers in the arid desert and lush greenery. Another told him to raise up his forefather Qusayy bin Kilab, who established Quraysh as a power in Arabia. The Quran notes their irrational requests: (8:32) And [remember] when they said, “O Allah , if this should be the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky or bring us a painful punishment. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) sat quietly through this meeting, responding calmly and respectfully. He realised this was pointless and left. Abu Jahl declared his intent to smash the Prophet's (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) head when he was prostrating at the Haram. To date, he had not done this, as the Prophet's (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) family would come after him in retaliation, but he encouraged all the leaders to support him. Abu Jahl was ready with his rock: as he held it above his head, he went pale and his knees shook. He walked away and sat down again. Abu Jahl said, ‘I swear I saw a huge camel, ferocious, like a demon. It had sharp teeth. It appeared out of nowhere and kept growing'. The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that this was Jibreel (AS). The following was revealed: (5:67) O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.
So how did it all start? The Prophet of Islam, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, was asked, "O Messenger of God, where was our Lord before He created His creation?" He said: "Nothing existed but Him, with nothing beneath Him and nothing above Him." "God is the Creator of all things and He is the Guardian over all things." (Quran 39:62)
Ustadh Amjad Tarsin ends his series on the five foundational Hadith by looking at the fifth Hadith in which a companion asked, “O Messenger of Allah, guide me to an action that if I do it, Allah will love me and the people will love me.” The Messenger ﷺ responded, “Detach from the world and Allah will love you; detach from what people have and they will love you.” Ustadh Amjad discusses what it means to detach from this world and how to do it.
The Hadith discussed tonight: It was narrated on the authority of Abu Najih al-Irbad bin Sariyah (radhiyaAllahu ‘anhu) who said: “The Messenger of Allah (sallaAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) delivered an admonition that made our hearts fearful and our eyes tearful. We said, “O Messenger of Allah, it is as if this were a farewell sermon, so advise us.” He said, “I enjoin you to have Taqwa of Allah and that you listen and obey, even if a slave is made a ruler over you. He among you who lives long enough will see many differences. So for you is to observe my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly-principled and rightly-guided successors, holding on to it with your molar teeth. Beware of newly-introduced matters, for every innovation (bid'ah) is an misguidance.” (Reported by Abu Dawud & Al-Tirmidhi, who says it is an authentic hadith). In this lecture Dr Israr ahmed shahib include this hadith that is not included in the book. The lecture has incomplete , so we have included lecture from another place , where Dr shahib has spoken about the same hadith in muntakhab nisab. Here is the hadith On the authority of Mu'adh bin Jabal (radhiyAllahu ‘anhu) who said: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a deed which will take me into Paradise and will keep me away from the Hell-fire.” He said: “You have asked me about a great matter, yet it is, indeed, an easy matter for him to whom Allah Almighty makes it easy. (It is) that you worship Allah without associating anything with Him, that you perform the prayers, that you pay the zakat, that you fast during Ramadhan, and that you make the pilgrimage to the House.” Then he said: “Shall I not guide you to the gates of goodness? Fasting is a shield; charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire; and a man's prayer in the middle of the night.” Then he recited: “Who forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of that We have bestowed on them. No soul knoweth what is kept hid for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do”. [Al-Sajdah, 32:16-17] Then he said: “Shall I not also tell you of the head of the matter, its pillar, and its topmost part?” I said: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “The head of the matter is Islam (submission to Allah), the pillar is prayer; and its topmost part is jihad.” Then he said: “And shall I not tell you of the controlling of all that ?” I said:” Yes, O Messenger of Allah”. So he took hold of his tongue and said: “Restrain this.” I said: “O Prophet of Allah, will we be held accountable for what we say?” He said: “May your mother be bereft of you! Is there anything that topples people on their faces (or he said, on their noses) into the Hell-fire other than the harvest of their tongues? (Related by Al-Tirmidhi, who said it was a fine and sound hadith) This is my best attempt , rest Allah know the best.

In this episode of Islamic Reminders, we discuss the importance of trying to retain the knowledge, good acts, & habits we gained during Ramadan even after this blessed month. It is of utmost importance that we understand that virtue is not in pretending that we do not have desires and inclinations to return to what bad we may have left off during Ramadan - but virtue is in responding strongly (with taqwa) against returning to those vices, bad habits, and desires which we have left.▬ Qu'ran & Hadith References ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬1. Youth Presentation- Supplication (Dua) for the Laylatul-Qadr-Night of Power - (REPOST) Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) in Surah Al-Qadr and the Prophet in many hadiths talk about the majesty of Laylatul Qadr, the ‘Night of Power'. It is a night of great mercy, rewards and blessings from our Rabb (سبحانه وتعالى); a night where acts of worship and good deeds performed are worth more than a 1,000 months (83 years) of worship – a whole LIFETIME of ibadaat; and a night of great forgiveness from Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) for our sins. SubhanAllah! Insha'Allah let's take full advantage of this night and utilize this audio to recite and memorize one of the great supplications (duas) that can undoubtedly lead us to Jannah. It was narrated from 'Aishah (May God be pleased with her) that she said: "O Messenger of Allah, what do you think I should say in my supplication, if I come upon the Night of Value ?" He said: "Say: O Allah, You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me.'" (Reported by at-Tirmidhi) Phonetic: Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni Arabic: The significance of this Night of Power is that it marked the revelation of the Glorious Qur'an and the birth of a COMPREHENSIVE DEEN that brought with it solutions to every problem that mankind would face as individuals, as a society– be it spiritual, moral, economic, family, social, legal, or political. These solutions from the Deen of Islam are unmatched to anything that mankind can produce! We pray that Allah(سبحانه وتعالى) accepts from all of us our fast, Qiyam, and all worship and good deeds. Aameen. Video: https://www.deenone.com/
Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The dearest and nearest among you to me on the Day of Resurrection will be one who is the best of you in manners; and the most abhorrent among you to me and the farthest of you from me will be the pompous, the garrulous, and Al-Mutafaihiqun." The Companions asked him: "O Messenger of Allah! We know about the pompous and the garrulous, but we do not know who Al-Mutafaihiqun are." He replied: "The arrogant people."
In this episode, we explore the meaning of the twenty eighth Hadith On the authority of Abu Najeeh al-'Irbaad ibn Saariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave us a sermon by which our hearts were filled with fear and tears came to our eyes. So we said, “O Messenger of Allah! It is as though this is a farewell sermon, so counsel us.” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “I counsel you to have taqwa (fear) of Allah, and to listen and obey [your leader], even if a slave were to become your ameer. Verily he among you who lives long will see great controversy, so you must keep to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the Khulafa ar-Rashideen (the rightly guided caliphs), those who guide to the right way. Cling to it stubbornly [literally: with your molar teeth]. Beware of newly invented matters [in the religion], for verily every bidah (innovation) is misguidance.”
Ustadh Amjad Tarsin ends his series on the five foundational Hadith by looking at the fifth Hadith in which a companion asked, “O Messenger of Allah, guide me to an action that if I do it, Allah will love me and the people will love me.” The Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) […] The post Foundational Hadith: “Detach from the World and Allah will Love You”- Al-Maqasid – Ustadh Amjad Tarsin appeared first on SeekersGuidance.

They pervert the words in their places and say: 'If you are given this, accept it; if not, then beware! ' Whomsoever Allah wishes to try, you will not own anything with Allah concerning him. For those whose hearts Allah does not will to purify shall be disgrace in this world and a grievous punishment in the Everlasting Life. (۴۱) سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّالُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ فَإِنْ جَاءُوكَ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَإِنْ تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَنْ يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْئًا وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْقِسْطِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ ﴿۴۲﴾They are listeners to lies and devourers of the unlawful. If they come to you, judge between them or turn away from them. If you avoid them they cannot harm you in anything; but if you judge, judge between them with fairness. Allah loves the just. Then they turn away after that; those are not believers. (۴۳) إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَاءَ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا النَّاسَ وَاخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ ﴿۴۴﴾We have sent down the Torah in which there is guidance and light by which the submissive prophets judged the Jews, as did the rabbis and those of their Lord, guarding what they were required to of the Book of Allah, and for which they were witness. Do not fear people, but fear Me. And, do not take a small price for My verses. Those who do not judge with what Allah has sent down are the unbelievers. (۴۴) وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنْفَ بِالْأَنْفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ فَمَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَهُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ ﴿۴۵﴾We have written for them a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds equal retaliation, but whosoever forgoes it as a freewill offering, it will be an expiation for him. Therefore, give judgment among them in accordance to what Allah has sent down and do not yield to their fancies from the truth that has come to you. We have ordained a law and a Path for each of you. Had Allah willed, He could have made you one nation but that He might try you by that which He has bestowed upon you. Race with one another in good works, to Allah you shall all return and He will declare to you what you were at variance. (۴۸) وَأَنِ احْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَنْ يُصِيبَهُمْ بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنَ النَّاسِ لَفَاسِقُونَ ﴿۴۹﴾And judge among them in accordance to that which Allah has sent down and do not be led by their desires. Take heed lest they should turn you away from a part of that which Allah has sent to you. If they reject your judgment, know that Allah wants to scourge them for some of their sins. Many of the people are wrongdoers. (۴۹) أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ ﴿۵۰﴾Is it pagan laws that they wish to be judged by? Who is a better judge than Allah for a nation whose belief is firm? They are guides of one another. Whosoever of you takes them for a guide shall become one of their number. Allah does not guide the wrongdoers. ' Their works will be annulled and they shall be the losers. (۵۳) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَنْ يَرْتَدَّ مِنْكُمْ عَنْ دِينِهِ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِي اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ يُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ ﴿۵۴﴾Believers, whosoever of you turns from his religion, Allah will bring a nation whom He loves and they love Him, humble towards the believers and stern towards the unbelievers, striving for the Path of Allah and fearless of anyone's blame. Such is the Bounty of Allah; He bestows it on whom He will. He is the Embracer, the Knower. (۵۴) إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ ﴿۵۵﴾Your guide is only Allah, His Messenger, and the believers; those who establish the prayer, pay their obligatory charity, and bow down (in worship). Have fear of Allah, if you are believers. (۵۷) وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ اتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿۵۸﴾When you call to prayer, they treat it as a jest and a pastime. That is because they are a people who have no understanding. Those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He is angry, and made some of them apes and swine, and those who worship the devil. The place of these is worse, and they have strayed further from the Right Path. ' (۶۰) وَإِذَا جَاءُوكُمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَقَدْ دَخَلُوا بِالْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا بِهِ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْتُمُونَ ﴿۶۱﴾When they came to you they said: 'We are believers. ' Indeed, they have entered with disbelief, and so they have departed with it; Allah knows best what they conceal. ' Their own hands are chained! And they are cursed for what they said! Rather, His Hands are both outstretched, He spends as He will. That which Allah has sent down to you will surely increase the tyranny and disbelief of many of them. We have stirred among them enmity and hatred up until the Day of Resurrection. Whenever they kindle the fire of war, Allah extinguishes it. They spread corruption in the land, and Allah does not love those who corrupt. (۶۴) وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ ﴿۶۵﴾If the People of the Book had believed and kept from evil, We would pardon them their sins and admit them to the Gardens of Delight. Some of them are a righteous nation; but many of them evil is what they do. (۶۶) يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ ﴿۶۷﴾O Messenger, deliver what is sent down to you from your Lord; if you do not, you will not have conveyed His Message. Allah protects you from the people. Allah does not guide the nation, the unbelievers. ' And that which is sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad) from your Lord will surely increase the tyranny and disbelief of many of them. But do not grieve for the unbelieving nation. (۶۸) إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالصَّابِئُونَ وَالنَّصَارَى مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ ﴿۶۹﴾Those who believe, Jews, Sabaeans, and Nazarenes whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good shall neither fear, nor shall they sorrow (as long as they do not reject any of the prophets). (۶۹) لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًا كُلَّمَا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَى أَنْفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًا كَذَّبُوا وَفَرِيقًا يَقْتُلُونَ ﴿۷۰﴾We took a covenant with the Children of Israel and sent forth Messengers to them. Then Allah turned towards them; then again many of them were blind and deaf. And Allah is the Seer of what they do. (۷۱) لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَقَالَ الْمَسِيحُ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ مَنْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَأْوَاهُ النَّارُ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنْصَارٍ ﴿۷۲﴾The unbelievers are those who say: 'Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary. There is but One God. If they do not desist in what they say, a painful punishment will afflict those of them that disbelieve. (۷۹) تَرَى كَثِيرًا مِنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ أَنْ سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِي الْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَالِدُونَ ﴿۸۰﴾You see many of them taking the unbelievers as guides. Evil is that to which their souls forwarded them, that Allah is angered against them, and in the punishment they shall live for ever. (۸۰) وَلَوْ كَانُوا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالنَّبِيِّ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا اتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَكِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ ﴿۸۱﴾Had they believed in Allah and the Prophet (Muhammad) and that which is sent down to him, they would not have taken them as guides. But many of them are evildoers. (۸۱) لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُمْ مَوَدَّةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَى ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ﴿۸۲﴾You will find that the most people in enmity to the believers are the Jews and idolaters, and that the nearest in affection to the believers are those who say: 'We are Nazarenes. ' That is because amongst them there are priests and monks; and because they are not proud. (۸۲) وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرَى أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا مِنَ الْحَقِّ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ ﴿۸۳﴾When they listen to that which was sent down to the Messenger, you will see their eyes fill with tears as they recognize its truth. They say: 'Lord, we believe. Write us among the witnesses. (۸۳) وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَنْ يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الصَّالِحِينَ ﴿۸۴﴾Why should we not believe in Allah and in the truth that has come down to us? Why should we not hope for admission among the righteous? ' (۸۴) فَأَثَابَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَذَلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿۸۵﴾For their words Allah has rewarded them with Gardens underneath which rivers flow, where they shall live for ever. Such is the recompense of the righteous. (۸۵) وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ ﴿۸۶﴾But those who disbelieve and belie Our verses shall be the companions of Hell. (۸۶) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُحَرِّمُوا طَيِّبَاتِ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ ﴿۸۷﴾Believers, do not forbid the good things that Allah has made lawful to you. Do not transgress; Allah does not love the transgressors. (۸۷) وَكُلُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي أَنْتُمْ بِهِ مُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿۸۸﴾Eat of the lawful and good things with which Allah has provided you. Have fear of Allah in whom you believe. But He will take you to account for the oaths which you solemnly swear. Its expiation is the feeding of ten needy (people) with such food as you normally offer to your own people; or the clothing of them; or the freeing of a slave. He who does not have must fast three days. That is the expiation of your oaths when you have sworn; but keep your oaths. Allah makes plain to you His verses, in order that you are thankful. (۸۹) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنْصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ﴿۹۰﴾Believers, wine and gambling, idols and divining arrows are abominations from the work of satan. Avoid them, in order that you prosper. (۹۰) إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ فِي الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُنْتَهُونَ ﴿۹۱﴾satan seeks to stir up enmity and hatred among you by means of wine and gambling, and to bar you from the remembrance of Allah and from praying. Will you not abstain from them? Beware; if you give no heed, know that Our Messenger's duty is only to give the clear delivery. (۹۲) لَيْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمُوا إِذَا مَا اتَّقَوْا وَآمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ثُمَّ اتَّقَوْا وَآمَنُوا ثُمَّ اتَّقَوْا وَأَحْسَنُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿۹۳﴾No blame shall be attached to those who believe and did good works in regard to any food they have eaten, so long as they ward off (the forbidden) and believe, and do good deeds, then they fear and believe, and again, so long as they fear and do fine deeds. Allah loves the generous. (۹۳) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ لِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَخَافُهُ بِالْغَيْبِ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿۹۴﴾Believers, Allah will test you by means of some hunting which you can catch with your hands and with your spears, in order that Allah knows those who fear Him in private. For he who transgresses thereafter shall be a painful punishment. Whosoever of you kills it willfully there shall be a recompense, the like of what he has slain from cattle as shall be judged by two just men among you, an offering to reach the Ka'bah; or expiation food for needy persons or the equivalent of that in fasting, so that he may taste the weight of the recompense of his action. Allah has pardoned what is past; but whoever offends again, Allah will take vengeance on him. Allah is the Almighty, Owner of Vengeance. (۹۵) أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ ﴿۹۶﴾Made lawful to you is the fished of the sea and its food, an enjoyment for you and for travelers. But you are forbidden the hunted of the land whilst you are on pilgrimage. Have fear of Allah, before whom you shall all be assembled. (۹۶) جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْكَعْبَةَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ قِيَامًا لِلنَّاسِ وَالشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَالْهَدْيَ وَالْقَلَائِدَ ذَلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ ﴿۹۷﴾Allah has made the Ka'bah the Sacred House, as an establishment for people; and the Sacred Month, and the offering, and the necklaces, in order that you know that Allah has knowledge of all that is in the heavens and the earth; and that Allah has knowledge of all things. (۹۷) اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ ﴿۹۸﴾Know that Allah is Stern in retribution, and that Allah is the Forgiver and the Most Merciful. (۹۸) مَا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ ﴿۹۹﴾The duty of the Messenger is only the delivery (of the Message). Allah knows what you reveal and what you hide. (۹۹) قُلْ لَا يَسْتَوِي الْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ الْخَبِيثِ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ ﴿۱۰۰﴾Say: 'The evil and the good are not alike, even if the abundance of evil pleases you. Um Salamah said: "O Messenger of Allah. I did not hear a Verse in the Quran regarding the Hijrah (migration with the Prophet) of women." Then was revealed the Verse: ("And their Lord has accepted of them, and answered them: Never will I suffer to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female: ye are members, one of another: those who have left their homes, and were driven out therefrom, and suffered harm in My cause, and fought and were slain Verily I will blot out from them their inequities, and admit them into gardens with rivers flowing beneath; ... A reward from Allah, and from Allah is the best of rewards."), Verse 195, Surat al-Imran, or the Family. The Hadith was narrated by at-Tirmizi under No. 3023.
The Prophet (saw) said: "Stay long in the gardens of Heaven" They asked: "O Messenger of Allah! What are the gardens of Heaven?" He said: "Gatherings where Allah is remembered." Bihar al-anwar, vol 93 p 163, hadith no. 42
