Wow. This episode was tough on production. Was it fun to sit down and record with my brother? Of course it was. Was it fun to edit out all the times the video went black during recording? No it was not. Ahsoka is finally over! Some might be happy about this. Others not so much. I can see exactly why either side feels that way. Now that I have made it to season five of Clone Wars, I can see the changes in Ahsoka's character development the creators made along the way. No longer is she the hot-headed apprentice of Anakin Skywalker. Now she is growing into her own as a padawan with her own opinions on the war and how the jedi order perpetuates the conflict rather than end it. You really begin to see her opinion change in the four episode arc on the planet Onderon. Here, the jedi decide to support and insurgency of locals rather than commit the precious resources of the galactic navy to liberate Onderon. The show makes the brave move and even uses the word "terrorism" to describe the actions of the "rebels." Obviously Anakin fully supports the idea of the terrorism to liberate Onderon. Yoda and other members of the Jedi Council obviously strike down the notion and instead decide to supply the resistance with only weapons which only target droids rather than the civilian population. Ahsoka is alone and feels uneasy about her position. She's alone without her master or his master to confide in. In addition, there are hints of romance between her and the ex-separatist. All of these confusing feelings bubbling under the surface for the celibate warrior monk. Do we see any conflict like this in Ahsoka? Of course not. I will link to a video I watched where they describe Dave Filoni as a fraud. Bottom line, I agree with several sentiments the presenter makes. Ahsoka is best if you've seen all of Clone Wars and all of Rebels. It makes no attempt to make the series friendly to a viewer whom has seen none of Ahsoka's previous outings. They also compare all other recent Star Wars shows to Andor. At one point in the video they say Andor worked so well because the without the star wars setting it would still make sense and be a compelling story. Ahsoka, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan etc all rely too heavily on established characters and backstories to they don't end up taking any risks. Andor does not have to worry about anyone's backstory and makes the smart decision to forge their own path without having to rely on fan service. Over all, this episode and Ahsoka as a whole were just ok. What were your thoughts on the show? Did you love it or hate it? In my opinion, the opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. After watching seasons one and two or The Mandalorian that's exactly how I felt. I did not watch Boba Fett until after having watched season three of The Mandalorian. Only then did I realize the error of my ways and find out I had missed out on important story bits which didn't make sense going into season three cold. The rebels have stepped up their attacks, ambushing a droid convoy in the center of the city and definitely causing no collateral damage despite the sobbing children. The rebels declare they seek to overthrow King Rash and restore King Dendup to the throne. Dendup is slated for public execution.The Gerrera siblings want to free Dendup. At the same time, Steela tries to ignore the growing feelings between herself and Lux Bonteri, and Ahsoka tries to balance her orders to not directly interfere with her desire to help the rebels. Saw uses his being tortured and interrogated to attempt to win over General Tandin to the cause of King Dendup. The rebels launch their plan, but fail to account for the fact they are significantly outnumbered and are captured themselves. Ahsoka nearly takes open action to free her friends, but is saved from doing so when General Tandin launches a coup! King Dendup joins with the rebels, and they promise to free Onderon. Ahsoka tells Anakin and Obi-wan that she's blown her cover, and they say the real fight will soon begin, but the council may not send more help.The Rebels plant a holo projection of Dendup that goes pirate radio in the market. Because no one can figure out how the VCR works, the entire tape plays. A riot ensues, a dinosaur gets shot in the cloaca and a B1 gets keistered by said dinosaur. Pretty solid physical humor and no Jar Jar in sight.Back at the rebel camp Lux is excited by rioting in the streets and Saw agrees which suggests that neither have gotten as far as ‘collateral damage' in their Resistance Movement 101 textbooks. Steela, who has read ahead a little, is very much aware of collateral damage, so they decide to forego urban combat for a plan to draw the droids out of the capital city and into the highlands. Steela kisses Lux and he and Ahsoka share a glance which suggests that maybe Kit Fisto can rub off on anyone given enough time. Droid flyers show up with a visual reference to the firebombing during the Vietnam War and I'm back on my real world bullshit. Obi-Wan is pretty sanguine about this and gets all GOP about Rebels pulling themselves up by their bootstraps, but at least he's willing to evacuate any survivors; which begs the question: is Obi-Wan the worst character in Star Wars?Anakin decides to Col. Oliver North this shit, goes full Iran-Contra and decides to get Hondo to smuggle some missiles. The fact that Hondo will be running Onderonian crack-cocaine back in his empty ships isn't really Anakin's problem.The droid army makes an end run for the king. Steela, Lux and Ahsoka ride in to the rescue. Saw shoots down the last gunship which crashes into the cliff Steela and the King are standing on: Steela saves the king, Lux falls off the cliff trying to save Steela, Ahsoka uses the Force to save Lux. Ahsoka tries to use the Force to save Steela but is shot by the gunship that was only mostly dead.  Steela falls to her death like a Disney villain. King Rash asks Dooku for more forces, but Dooku isn't dumb and pulls the Separatists out. Kilani makes certain that King Rash's exit interview is suitably punitive with a blaster rifle. The planet Onderon has seceded from the Republic and joined the Separatist Alliance under a new king. Rebel forces have fled into the jungle and appeal to the Jedi for help. Oh wait, this happened at the start of the clone war by the legitimate government under a new king. The rebels claim he's a traitor though so it's totally fine.Anakin, completely off the cuff, invents the School of the Americas to help the freedom fighters on Separatist planets ensure their liberty? The fact that Padme is a majority stakeholder in Space Chiquita Bananas is probably coincidental. Yoda is down to help, but Obi-Wan pegs this as enabling terrorism. Anakin, because he's the worst, states that this is actually an insurgency and… points for vocab I guess.The Jedi council is split between pragmatists and idealists with Yoda and Obi-Wan suggesting that terror should not be a means to an end. Anakin and Mace suggest that they're merely helping Rebels, and Jedi Master Honru Kissingeru is getting real sweaty in the background. Anakin Ahsoka and Rex head to Onderon as ‘advisors' with Obi Wan to keep an eye on them.We meet Saw Gerrara for the first time riding a Tarakian mount. On a scale of Forest Whitaker, he's a lot closer to Fast Times at Ridgemont High than Rogue One at this point in his life. We also meet Steela and, hey, it's Lux Bonteri! Obi-Wan and Anakin hide behind polite fictions by stating that they aren't here to fight the war for the Onderonians. Ahsoka and Lux start talking about old times and Steela gets jealous. If Ahsoka were Kit Fisto's apprentice she'd already be engaging in some hands on training with them both, but she's only got Anakin so she immediately gets confused and sulky. RSVP Nandor the Relentless.The Rebels go through training and we see how much better at this Rex is than normal people. Shenanigans and training montages ensue. Lux and Saw apparently are rivals for leadership and all I can think of is the Bolshievek revolution. Trotsky lived a long and happy life right?The rebels have had many successful missions with zero civilian casualties, but the local population is on edge. The new King summons his predecessor and tells him to call off the attacks… which the old King denies he has a hand in since he is a prisoner and cannot leave the castle.We cut to the rebels talking about earning the civilian's trust, which they feel they can get if they hit one big target: A power station that powers all the droids. Saw Gerrara steals one of the B1's heads to grab the layout of the power substations. They stage a small attack to lure out a tank they need. Destroyers are sent, and their “slow-roll” training proves successful. A tank shows up, and they manage to disable it, then move on to complete their plan and destroy the power station. Soon the droids will forever sleep.The civilians are now cheering on the rebels. During the celebration, jealousy rears its ugly head again and Anakin tells Ahsoka to stay focused in a real “pot calling the kettle black” kind of moment. The Jedi, via Spacetime™, give an inspiring speech on how to proceed next.The King gives an update to Dooku, who tells the King he's sending more troops and a new general. We cut back to Steela, giving her own inspiring speech, being nominated as the leader… which rubs Saw the wrong way. Bad Batch Episode 3 "Replacements" is an episode of two halves as the Empire tests new conscripted troops and the Bad Batch run into an energy loving alien after their ship crash lands. We chat about it all on this weeks episode of TV Podcast Industries. With Tech unwilling to help Echo complete repairs, their ship, The Havoc Marauder, crash lands on a seemingly desolate planet. When a key capacitor gets stolen by an energy loving native Ordo Moon Dragon, Hunter has to retrieve it before they can take off. With Wrecker out of action after a knock on the head Omega volunteers to go along on the mission. After Hunter is knocked unconscious by the Moon Dragon, Omega steps up and retrieves the stolen part, allowing the Batch to get off the world. While they were away Wrecker set up a room for Omega to make her feel at home and welcome her to the team. Meanwhile on Kamino, Governor Tarkin wants to test a new group of top conscripted recruits brought to him by Vice Admiral Rampart. With former Batch member Crosshair further reprogrammed by the Kaminoins as their leader, Tarkin sends them to complete the mission hunter refused. They are to wipe out Saw Garrera and his army on Onderon. When the new team arrives, they find a small group of Garrera’s troops evacuating the planet. Crosshair orders them to execute those that are left but when one of the new recruits refuses he’s killed by Crosshair. The rest of the team are told “A good soldier follows orders” and they complete the mission. As a reward for the performance of this Clone led elite squad, Commander Rampart is promoted to Admiral. But while assisting Jedi Knight Depa Billaba and her padawan Caleb Dume on Kaller against the Separatists , Clone Captain Grey receives Order 66 and kills Billaba. The Bad Batch overhears the order, but except for Crosshair, they feel no compulsion to execute it and their leader Hunter lets Caleb escape. Back on Kamino, the Bad Batch encounters Omega, a young female clone who is genetically as unorthodox as they are. Admiral Tarkin later arrives to evaluate whether the clone army is of any more use to the newly formed Empire, and after receiving Crosshair's report on Kaller, he sends the Bad Batch to Onderon to eliminate a group of alleged insurgents and thus test their loyalties. When the "insurgents" are revealed as fugitives from the Empire led by Saw Gerrera, the Bad Batch decides to go rogue, but are captured when returning to Kamino for Omega. Crosshair, who is still under the influence of his inhibitor chip, is reprogrammed by Tarkin to turn against his squadmates, and the Bad Batch and Omega are forced to flee Kamino without him. Looking for friends to help them in their time of turmoil they set course for planet J19.The Clone Wars have ended. A period of Civil War has begun. The Bad Batch Episode 1 "Aftermath" Synopsis Series Created by:  Jennifer Corbett, Dave Filoni Episode Written by:  Jennifer Corbett, Dave Filoni Episode Directed By: Steward Lee, Saul Ruiz, Nathaniel Villanueva Separatists are pushed to the brink as Republic forces continue to win on battlefields across the galaxy. But while assisting Jedi Knight Depa Billaba and her padawan Caleb Dume on Kaller against the Separatists , Clone Captain Grey receives Order 66 and kills Billaba. The Bad Batch overhears the order, but except for Crosshair, they feel no compulsion to execute it and their leader Hunter lets Caleb escape. Back on Kamino, the Bad Batch encounters Omega, a young female clone who is genetically as unorthodox as they are. Admiral Tarkin later arrives to evaluate whether the clone army is of any more use to the newly formed Empire, and after receiving Crosshair's report on Kaller, he sends the Bad Batch to Onderon to eliminate a group of alleged insurgents and thus test their loyalties. When the "insurgents" are revealed as fugitives from the Empire led by Saw Gerrera, the Bad Batch decides to go rogue, but are captured when returning to Kamino for Omega. Crosshair, who is still under the influence of his inhibitor chip, is reprogrammed by Tarkin to turn against his squadmates, and the Bad Batch and Omega are forced to flee Kamino without him. Looking for friends to help them in their time of turmoil they set course for planet J19.The Clone Wars have ended. A period of Civil War has begun. On the beast world of Onderon, the rebels of the Sparkling Spoonbill have aided an archaeologist in the ancient Beast Trials, earning them passage to the forbidden moon to search for her father. Delving deep into the Tomb of Freedon Nadd, the heroes found the missing daddy, along with the parasitic Orbalisks; insects that feed on the negative emotions of their host. Drained of his terror, Bach Joy destroyed all evil on the moon and its world, and secured the information that would help he and his allies reach the lost world of Roon....

The Rebel crew of the Sparkling Spoonbill has traveled to the beast world of Onderon in search of a path to Roon, an ancient colony world of the Taung fleet. In exchange for information about the planet, the crew helped archaeologist Tanda Erelin complete the Beast Trials, an ancient rite to determine who could be granted access to the forbidden Dxun moon. At Tanda's request, the crew has decided to join her on her journey to the tombs of Dxun, where her father disappeared several months ago....

Following a journey into the heart of an ancient space station, the crew of the Sparkling Spoonbill accidentally freed an ancient marauder fleet from its black hole prison. Hoping to track the fleet to their ancient stronghold, the brave heroes traveled to the beast world of Onderon, in search of archaeologist Tanda Erelin. Making a deal with Tanda to help her win the Beast Trials and earn passage to Onderon's forbidden moon, the heroes brutally and viciously crippled the Kira tribe, the historical champions of the Beast Wars....

The fate of the galaxy is changing. After rescuing a group of Wookiee slaves from illegal Kyber mines within a space slug feasting on the irradiated ruins of Alderaan, the crew of the Sparkling Spoonbill return to their quest to locate the dangerous Taung Fleet. Using knowledge gained from joining the mysterious Killik hives, Bach Joy has recalled the ancient world of Roon, where the Taung fled after being driven from Coruscant in the distant past. Banished from history, the location of Roon is known only to the boldest of explorers and archeologists. Hoping to find one, the Rebel heroes travel to Onderon, the dangerous world of beasts....

Hidden heroes, hidden threats. With the crew of the Sparkling Spoonbill journeying to Onderon to discover the location of the Taung Fleet, the Rebel strike teams of Planet Has undertake dangerous missions on behalf of Rebel Command. Dispatched by Commander Burles, these agents scour the galaxy for side missions too important for the usual gang of bumbling heroes, and too dangerous for real characters. Hoping to claw their way out of obscurity, these expendable rebels yearn for the chance to undertake their first real mission….
