Visit The Website: https://herewiththemagic.com Watch Here: https://www.youtube.com/HereWithTheMagic Connect on Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/herewiththemagic Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/herewiththemagic/ -- Quiet moments of joy are all around us. We feel them in the first moments of our day, when the sun is just peeking over the horizon. We see them in an early summer evening, when the fireflies emerge, like magic, from the grass around our feet. We hear them in the crashing of ocean waves and in the melodies of songbirds. But moments of joy aren't always quiet. They can also be experienced in boisterous and seemingly chaotic places. On city streets and morning commutes, among the knife-and-fork clattering of a busy restaurant or amidst a jam-packed fireworks crowd on Main Street, U.S.A. These moments are quiet in the sense that we feel at home, welcome, where everything around us seems to slow down and feels, well, joyful! Time seems to cease its perpetual marathon and we feel, for just a moment, like there's nowhere we'd rather be. One of these places can be found on the outer rim of a galaxy far, far away, where nightfall brings a cinematic sense of wonder and intrigue to a planet named Batuu. Well into the evening, the streets of Black Spire Outpost become a star-strewn haven of serenity, well, except for the legendary spot boasting the best libations in the Galaxy: Oga's Cantina. Perhaps one of the most improbable places for us to go in search of an ambient moment of joy, Oga's Cantina is alive with revelry and laughter. Often crowded and always celebratory, this space is anything but peaceful or meditative. Still, the nostalgia and joy that so many of us feel being right Here, right now…well, that is truly a Force to be reckoned with. Looking around the room, we smile recognizing the awe and delight of others around us, feeling connected to one another by our love for a shared story, of another world we can step into whenever this one gets to be just a little too much. It is Magic, pure and uplifting and undeniable. It binds us together. Here, we too are now part of the narrative, transported away from our realities and into the blissful unreality of another world, of a galaxy far, far away. Here, we are one With the Magic, and the Magic is With us. ‘Til the spire!

Food from Disney chefs at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World are on tap, along with a Twitter watch party for Hocus Pocus on Wednesday, April 27th at 5pm Disneyland time, which will also include some digital wallpaper downloads. On Thursday, more announcements will be made to celebrate. The Disney Parks Tik Tok account will have live content from all the Disney Parks locations, with some more surprises. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/04/join-us-for-our-biggest-and-best-disney-halfwaytohalloween-celebration-yet/ Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort in the next few days can experience the ghoulishly delicious treats to celebrate Halfway to Halloween. At Downtown Disney, there will be a Cheddar Pickle Dog at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs through May 1st. There will also be a Spooky Churro at California Churro through May 4th. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/04/first-look-at-disneys-halfway-to-halloween-eats-and-treats/ A new Disneyland After Dark event is coming to the resort for the first time. Disneyland After Dark Grad Nite Reunion will take place on multiple nights throughout June at Disney California Adventure Park. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/04/introducing-the-first-ever-disneyland-after-dark-grad-nite-reunion/ The Main Street Electrical Parade returned this past week with a few new surprises that weren't announced. We all know about the new text on the lead float, and the reimagined finale float, but even more was changed! The intro to the parade has been reworked to include part of Walt's opening day speech, and the music has been updated for the finale float. A little bit of extra magic was added to the finale float along “its a mall world” and Main Street. Projections that tie into the Mary Blair theming of the new float are presented as it passes guests. – https://www.laughingplace.com/w/articles/2022/04/21/interview-how-disneyland-is-celebrating-the-50th-anniversary-of-the-main-street-electrical-parade/ and https://www.micechat.com/309935-big-disneyland-entertainment-returns-for-2022/ With the return of the Electrical Parade, two items have been very popular. The Eliot popcorn bucket, and the Turtle sipper drew long lines from guests wanting to get their hands on this fun collectible. Both of these items are available at multiple popcorn carts and dining locations, so be sure to check around if you are trying to get your hands on one of these. New for something this popular is the ability to mobile order these through the Disneyland app. This can save hours waiting in line. – https://www.micechat.com/309935-big-disneyland-entertainment-returns-for-2022/ The Main Street Electrical Parade may have stolen the limelight, but World of Color has also returned this past week. Unlike the Electrical Parade, this show is presented in its previous form with no new updates. Guests wanting to get the best viewing possible will want to either book a dining or dessert package, or grab a virtual queue reservation prompt at noon. The virtual queue spaces have been filling up almost instantly after being available. – https://www.micechat.com/320184-disneyland-update-electric-entertainment-magic-key-blues-rumors-too/ Character meets and greets are back at Disneyland delighting guests. A variety of interactions can be had around the parks from standing in line to see a favorite character, to a casual encounter with a character walking around. One of the longest waits for characters so far has been the Princess Fantasy Faire, with one of the shortest waits at the Fantasyland Theatre where Mickey Mouse was spotted. – https://www.micechat.com/320184-disneyland-update-electric-entertainment-magic-key-blues-rumors-too/ New Orleans Square has seen a flurry of activity and walls all over the place the last couple of months. The first section of modified tiering has been unveiled and looks pretty good. The walkways are more open and without the stairs and larger planters in the way, make it much easier for guests to get from one place to another. The brick walls around the planters make a great place for guests to sit for a break as well. – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsRCY-LribM Mother's Day is quickly approaching and there are a lot of options at the resort to take advantage of. Inside of Disneyland at the Plaza Inn, there is a Mother's Day Brunch with Minnie and her friends. At the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa lobby at the holiday cart, there is an assortment of sweet treats. Storytellers is hosting a Mother's Day Brunch and Dinner. Finally, Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel will offer a Brunch and Dinner as well. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/04/20/full-list-of-mothers-day-snacks-available-in-disney-world-disneyland/ A new kiosk has been erected outside of the Star Wars Trading Post in Downtown Disney. The appearance of this kiosk is perfect timing for the upcoming May the 4th celebration. Additional merchandise will probably be sold at this location for the event. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/04/new-kiosk-erected-outside-star-wars-trading-post-in-downtown-disney-district/ The culinary experts of the Disneyland Resort have done it again! The lobby of the Grand Californian is now the home to a massive edible model of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. The display is made from Rice Krispy Treats and painstakingly painted by the food artisans. The spires of Black Spire Outpost are featured heavily, along with a large model of the Millennium Falcon. – https://fb.watch/cDMVS7ugZY/ Guests from a galaxy far. far away who have tickets for Star Wars Nite coming up can start their meal planning now. Some of the food items have already made it onto the Disneyland mobile app. – https://www.micechat.com/320184-disneyland-update-electric-entertainment-magic-key-blues-rumors-too/ Weeklyteers who might want to own a piece of Disneyland or the Walt Disney Studios history should check out the next Van Eaton Galleries Auction. The auction will feature over 900 artifacts from the company and park. Specific items include original production background from the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon “Ozzy of the Mounted,” the original artwork for a 1932 Mickey Mouse comic strip, a Gustaf Tenggren layout drawing for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, an original Walt Disney Studios animator's desk, original Mary Blair concept paintings, rare animator's maquettes, Walt Disney autographs, and much more. – https://vegalleries.com/historicjourney Visitors to the Disneyland Resort are no longer required to wear mask in most situations. Guests using First Aid, for example, will still need to wear a mask. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/04/24/news-mask-requirements-changed-for-disneyland-transportation/ There has been a lot of confusion and talk around the internet about the renew-ability of the Magic Keys. It all started with a single post online that stated that Disneyland would not allow renewal of their Dream Key. It is a lot more nuanced than that. At this point, we are still a couple of months away from the vast majority of people renewing their keys in July, since passes can be renewed 45 days before expiration. Disneyland does not seem to have made a decision on what they are going to do with renewals since the top two tiers of Magic Keys are currently sold out. – https://www.micechat.com/320184-disneyland-update-electric-entertainment-magic-key-blues-rumors-too/ Discussion Topic: Sarah M – How Disneyland Changed my Life Mom Video – https://youtu.be/Z0WVYadfAj8 Teresa's Yoga App – Apple Store – https://apps.apple.com/us/app/yoga-for-beginners-mind-body/id1382141225

Hello Travelers! Come along with us this week on a full park walkabout in Disney's Hollywood Studios not long before park close. We start out near the Crossroads of the World, head down Hollywood Blvd, and then make our way to Toy Story Land. We take in the sounds of Woody, Jessie, and the gang, and hear ole Slinky dog roaring past. Afterwards, we take a trip off-world to Batuu and Black Spire Outpost and hear droids, the Falcon, my favorite Jawa pop song, and of course, space toilet noises. We finish off the night on Grand Avenue. Your humble host was verbose on this episode. Just saying...I talked...a lot. Haha. As always, use good listening devices as we always record in 4 channel surround sound. We hope you enjoy the episode and thanks so much for following along! Soundscapes: Galaxy's Edge Walk Around Follow along with the show notes below! Want More Here With The Magic? Visit The Website: https://herewiththemagic.com Watch Here: https://www.youtube.com/HereWithTheMagic Connect on social media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/herewiththemagic Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/herewiththemagic/ ---------- [02:15] In the cinematic realm of Disney's Hollywood Studios, we have stumbled upon something so distinctive, so unique, we have to leave behind the sun-soaked palm trees, glamour and ambience of Hollywood's Golden Age entirely. [02:30] An eerie breath of woodwinds welcomes us to the treasure trove planet of Batuu. The lilt of a flute, an oboe, the unmistakable weight of a bassoon. [02:45] From the perspective of a rover, you might be tempted to leave the beige tones and mundane activities of this side of the galaxy in your dust…but oh, what secrets and stories lie within! Who could imagine, upon first or even second glance, that this could be the stomping grounds of the greatest Jedi for many moons? You've heard the phrase: “don't judge a book by its cover,” no doubt? Well, don't judge a planet by its junkyard. [03:38] Our mystical, orchestral interlude is broken by a jumble of otherworldly noises. We can discern the descent of a spaceship onto its tarmac, the Millennium Falcon, perhaps? [06:04] Droids chatter back and forth in their robotic, indiscernible way. Keep your eyes peeled for faithful R2D2, and BB-8 trailing after him with much enthusiasm. [07:20] In the distance, we hear the echoing roar of a Wookie, undoubtedly everyone's favorite co-pilot, Chewie. [10:32] It's not just friends wandering the Outpost; fiendish Forces are awake here on Batuu as well. Whether alerted to our presence or not remains to be seen. [10:53] For now, we are swept up in the commotion of barterers and traders, all moving with purpose as dusk descends on this corner of the galaxy. [16:14] It's hard not to feel the energy and power that this place embodies. Forces of nature live and move here, humble and quiet paradoxes to their relative strength and potential. The kinesis extends through the structures, the music, the wind whipping through alleyways and at the hems of Jedi robes. [18:37] Amidst the bustling and bristling of Black Spire Outpost, we are not alone in our nonchalant attempts to surreptitiously dodge random interrogation from a Stormtrooper. We blend in with our surroundings. [22:16] We are immersed in the stories that breathe from every orifice; even the stone walls seem to speak of legend. It is the Force, alive and breathing in the spirits of those of us who journey here, searching for enlightenment, a fantastical tale longing to be retold. [25:28] The Force is a source of energy and power, certainly, but we know that it is also a source of inner peace and serenity in equal measure. Balance is light and dark together, mayhem and mild in harmonious coexistence. [26:23] And what a peaceful moment we've found, as nightfall brings a whole new symphony of sounds, some familiar and some...intriguing. The chirp of crickets, unseen creatures calling into the night, the clang and grind of moonlit repairs on that scrap metal hunka junk parked at the center of the Outpost. [27:48] Every step we take turns our head in a new direction. Around corners, over our shoulder...what was that? This is the chaos of Batuu - the bated breath of the unknown, the galaxy reaching for some sense of tranquility before morning brings a new raucousness of its own. Come with us, be Here as we uncover its secrets and delight in all the details. [34:00] Hear the foreboding chime of midnight bells reverberating across the galaxy, a call to something, but what? Staccato percussions chill us to the bone, though we have no idea why. We are suddenly engaged in the space between the tangible and intangible, the everyday and the enchanting. [38:04] Not all is quiet on Batuu, even as the darkness presses in and the night lingers on. As we stand fascinated at this spiritual concerto we've stumbled upon, in another part of the Outpost is a late night celebration at Oga's, the local watering hole for an array of the most curious characters. [38:23] Loud music and light spill from inside as we approach; clearly the party inside is fin full swing. It is a technicolor affair, DJ'd by Rex, a droid that would probably be the life the party on any planet. Let's spend a few moments here, why not? Find yourself swaying in time to the bright jazz music as you sip on an iridescent libation. [41:45] Then it's back out into the mysterious night. [49:00] And so our journey through Galaxy's Edge is brought to a close, as night will surely surrender to first light soon enough. Thank you for wandering with us, for traveling to this galaxy far, far away. We hope you've enjoyed your time Here, that it's brought you excitement and joy and even a sense of peace, strange as it sounds. After all, the most unlikely places can be a respite from your everyday. Now light speed to tomorrow, and all the adventures it's sure to bring. Til' the Spire, and May the Force Be With You.

Hey Hey Skywalkers, in lieu of an episode of Skywalking through Neverland this week, we want to play you the audio from our most recent video, Galaxy's Edge Over Quarantine! We had so much content from our trip to Disneyland, that we wanted to take the time to craft and share a very special video. Just like us, the citizens of Black Spire Outpost here in Batuu West have been in quarantine. What did they do with their time? Did Oga still require payments and kick-backs? What are their safety precautions? Did Kylo Ren have to wear a face mask? We asked various citizens to weigh in on these hard-hitting questions, some were more than happy to share stories and up-to-date news, some ran in fear. You can see the complete video on our YouTube channel, where we'd love to see your comments! We hope you have as much fun watching it as we did making it. We'll be back next week with another fun-filled episode of Skywalking Through Neverland! Please Like this video and Hit that YouTube Subscribe button. Book your next Disney trip: http://smallworldvacations.com MORE videos coming soon. Please Subscribe to our YouTube Channel and be notified when they appear.

Lightsabers, droids, and Millennium Falcons... OH MY! The three of decided to spend some time talking about parts of our trips to Batuu West and Batuu East. We barely even scratched the surface of all the goodness found in Black Spire Outpost and I bet at some point we will do at least one more episode on Walt Disney's largest expansion to date.

This week on The Scoundrel Outpost we talk about the progress of Ride Of The Resistance, Tips and Tricks for better flights on Smugglers Run, the new food in Black Spire Outpost, and the Rise of Skywalker update to Star Tours! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/galaxyu2019s-edge-scoundrels/support
For the first time ever, the Backlotboys are recording LIVE from the Disneyland Resort in Sunny (but chilly) Anaheim, California! This is a two-part podcast, blended into one with the first segment recorded at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and the second from inside Galaxy's Edge. During the first 20 minutes we go over hopes, dreams, expectations of the new Star Wars-themed land; the remaining 20 includes our reactions to the new land and everything that goes with it! We discuss everything from blue milk to restroom cleanliness as we navigate the mean streets of Black Spire. Watch Goodtimeswithscar roll into Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities where he is appointed the fabled Dual-phase Sith lightsaber. Two, red Kyber Crystals illuminate his Diatium-powered combat noodle, and there is no telling how many of those still hiding out on Mon Cala will suffer as Goodtimeswithscar wields this terrible swift sword. Is Smugglers Run accessible? YES! Listen and find out how the Disneyland version of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run accommodates those needing a little extra time boarding and de-planing the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. Whether your destined to be a pilot, gunner, or ship engineer, there is a role and requirement for everyone contracted by Hondo Ohnaka himself. Speaking of Hondo, is it me, or does it seem like it'd itch to have those horns protruding from your jaw area? We dined on the finest, dodged the imperialist, and froze our rumps off to bring to you a live, on-site podcast from the Black Spire Outpost. The least you could do, in the comments, is let us know which Star Wars character (from A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) Goodtimeswithscar most closely resembles!
In this episode, we'll discuss some nonsense in small topics, Michael will give us the latest news, Will will let us know what's tweetin', we'll get a movie minute with Michael, and then we'll talk about Will's trip to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu this past weekend, all a part of the passholder preview of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge!
Disneyland's Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opens in a matter of weeks and we couldn't be more stoked! May The Fourth has always been fun to talk about, but come the last day of May, history shall be made. A land that has taken years, if not DECADES, to conspire now takes up a good chunk (14 acres) of the Northwest portion of Disneyland Park in California, USA. "Star Wars Land" as many have come to affectionately call it, will be the gateway to Savi's Workshop where you can build your own custom lightsaber! More about that robot/droid life? The Droid Depot will get your nuts, bolts and gyroscopes adjusted and may send you on your way with a brand new toaster-sized robotic friend. Don't forget to say "hi" to BB8 for us! If you're into the eats - Oga's Cantina, Ronto Roasters, the Milk Stand and Docking Bay 7 will square you away with meats, cheeses and that Blue Banta Milk that is truly out-of-this-world! If you don't mind a few popcorn kernels stuck in your teeth, pay Kat Saka's Kettle a visit for the sweetest, most savory treat in the System! But Wait! You can't parade around Black Spire Outpost in those blue jeans. Nope, not that Off-White hoodie, either. Supreme fanny-pack? Toss it. Once you've made the call on whether you are Dark Side/Light Side, you're going to need to look the part. Zip in to First Order Cargo and proclaim your allegiance. Foolish enough to go with the light side? Then Resistance Supply will certainly square you away with a finely tailored Tomb Raider looking getup, complete with an artisan leather thermal detonator satchel! Alrighty, your 4-hours at Black Spire Outpost are coming to an end... BOOM!!! Millennium Falcon's don't just fly themselves! get over to Sugglers Run and do the most good! Fully functional and responsive controls surround you as you careen through galaxies once only seen in the movies. Well, the movies and Star Tours. If you can hang in there, towards the end of the year you JUST MAY be able to rise up against the resistance in... well, Rise of the Resistance! Here you'll battle the First Order in a visually captivating, heart-pounding environment. Sadly, innovation and technology still need to catch up with Disney Imagineers' ideas - hopefully sooner rather than later. If none of that sounds interesting enough to give this podcast a listen - then maybe a little Bob Iger Vs. Abigail Disney in the Twitter ring will! Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger pulled $66,000,000 this past year. Abby doesn't think he deserves it - and while she is probably right, Disney as a company defends Bob's take-home pay by stating that it is "90-percent performance based." Iger's impressive Disney Decade has brought our $24 per-share holdings out of the red and into the $125 range, sure, but when the going got tough, didn't he stop working out? No, he didn't. He still cranks out 4am cardio sessions on the VersaClimber. Haven't been on one? Try it and see if you can walk the next day. Don't forget to leave a comment - good, bad, or ugly - we'll take em all! Photo Credit: LUCASFILM/WALT DISNEY PICTURES
