AIE Valheim Community Server Information is pinned in the AIE Discord #Nomads channel WoW Noob Raid had a great final run of Manaforge Omega on pre-Midnight launch – clearing both Normal and Heroic! Dankinia will be taking a break until the first raid in Midnight is released, around early April. Midnight launched on 3/2, with early access for folks who prepurchased expected to begin 2/27. Lots more about Midnight from our lovely guests later in the show. Player housing. This new feature is time consuming but a great deal of fun. The creativity of our Guildies is amazing to behold! WoW Classic As Jehdai pointed out, we have our first 70 (Sethos) and light activity on the 20th Anniversary TBC launch on Dreamscythed Horde side. We have the guild available with the guild bank open and invite others to join us in Outland. In other Classic news: Reminder that there are now 3 launchers for Classic (‘Original’, ‘Anniversary’, ‘Era’) “Original” Classic is progressing with Mists of Pandaria. The guild is available on Horde side on Galakras. If I have this right, MoP classic uses the modern guild interface so we have the new interface showing 651 members. “Anniversary” Classic which is now at TBC as mentioned above. “Era” classic is a separate launcher with 3 game modes: ‘Classic Era’ which is forever frozen in the original game (pre-TBC). We were on Mankrik here but really no activity or guild. “Season of Discovery” which is where experiments were performed by the devs which some expect may lead to the anticipated “Classic Plus” many hope for. We have no real activity there currently. “Hardcore” is the 3rd game mode in the Era client and probably our 2nd most active within the classic modes. We have an Alliance side guild on Doomhowl and some activity on the Horde side of Doomhowl but no guild currently. Lars plans to return to his attempt at a “Solo Self-Found” run to 60 in Hardcore but that has been on pause for quite some time. We did have guild members make it to 60 on the hardcore server previously. Ravisant is ProffessorWC or Sethos one of the raid leaders from HoG SWTOR In Swtor this week, we are ready for Update 7.8.1, Master’s Enigma. It will bring a story piece, Galactic Seasons 10, new date nights, and the Spring Abundance Festival. The story finale is coming in the June timeframe to make room for 8.0 at the end of the year. We continue to do our MFN on Tuesday nights. Please join us. There are no gear or level requirements, but you may need to have gotten your personal ship as we do tend to travel about. FFXIV This past Tuesday we got the new Variant dungeon with the newer middle level difficulty The next live letter is on March 13th at 4am PST, and they'll probably be discussing the next story patch LOTRO We had an update that brought us some nifty things. The new raid “The Folly of Nagakhêdi” (Nah-gah-KAY-dee) for tier 1 is live, tiers 2 and 3 are coming this week and next week. There is a new legendary reward track with some great rewards such as a rose-colored mûmak calf cosmetic pet. With other class changes, mainly with guardian, we also got a great change. It is now possible to start Private Encounters from inside of a Housing Neighborhood. Looking forward to seeing you in game and doing some of these awesome new instances. 25 Jahre ist es her, dass Honda den Insight als erstes Hybridmodell der Marke auf dem europäischen Markt eingeführt hat. Heute sind alle europäischen Volumenmodelle von Honda elektrifiziert, alles andere wäre auch verwunderlich. Natürlich gilt das auch für den Honda Civic e:HEV Advance, den wir uns heute mal etwas genauer anschauen!  Darum geht es diesmal!Es ist ein Update für ein Erfolgsmodell: Gemeint ist der Honda Civic, der seit Anfang Oktober des vergangenen Jahres mit diversen Designüberarbeitungen am Interieur und Exterieur sowie einer erweiterten Serienausstattung auf und über deutsche Straßen rollt. Dabei können sich Fahrer nach wie vor auf die selbstladende Hybridtechnologie e:HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) verlassen, die in allen Modellvarianten serienmäßig an Bord ist.Das Outfit!Was das Erscheinungsbild des Honda Civic e:HEV  angeht, zeigt sich die Fahrzeugfront nun noch schärfer gezeichnet, zudem ist der neu gestaltete Kühlergrill des Civic schwarz umrandet. Für eine noch hochwertigere und sportlichere Optik sorgen neue Verkleidungen an der Front und den vorderen Scheinwerfern. Der Wegfall der separaten Nebelscheinwerfer – sie sind nun in das überarbeitete, hocheffiziente LED-Lichtsystem integriert - und die nun in Wagenfarbe gehaltenen Spoiler am unteren Stoßfänger sorgen ebenfalls für eine optische Aufwertung. Power und Drive!    e:HEV steht bei Honda für einen Vollhybrid-Antrieb, der beim Civic 135 kW (184 PS) beträgt.  Das maximale Drehmoment liegt bei 315 Nm, die Beschleunigung von 0−100 km/h erledigt der Wagen in 7,8 Sekunden, die Spitze erreicht er bei 180 km/h. Dazu sind – je nach Ausstattung - ein kombinierter Kraftstoffverbrauch zwischen 4,7−5,0  l/100 km und CO₂-Emissionen zwischen 108−114  g/km erforderlich. Natürlich haben alle Civic e:HEV vier verschiedene Fahrmodi. Normal, Econ, Sport und Individual.  Die Kosten!Wer sich beim Honda Civic e:HEV für die Modellvariante Elegance entscheidet, bekommt für 37.900 Euro schon eine ausgesprochen ordentliche Serienausstattung geliefert, die unter anderem Honda CONNECT mit Navigation, Honda SENSING Fahrerassistenzsysteme und eine Zweizonen-Klimatisierungsautomatik ebenso enthält wie Rückfahrkamera, Toter-Winkel-Assistent und die Verkehrszeichenerkennung mit intelligentem Geschwindigkeitsassistenten. Die Ausführung Sport liegt bei 38.900 Euro, für die Topausstattung Advance sind 41.400 Euro fällig. The ASX 200 cratered another 252 points to 8599 (2.9%), as buyers stepped in as the afternoon wore on. Well off lows, but unconvincing. Oil prices in Asia soared with regional markets falling hard. Across the board losses led by BHP down 5.1% and RIO off 3.8%. Gold miners sold down despite bullion holding up relatively well. NST down 6.2% and EVN off 5.9% with WGX falling 5.7%. Lithium stocks under siege, PLS down 6.7% and MIN off 1.6%. Copper stocks walloped, SFR down 8.2% and other base metal stocks falling. BSL dropped 4.4%. Oil and gas stocks better, but not racing away. WDS up 2.0% and STO up 2.4% with coal stocks better. Uranium stocks dropped, PDN down 7.9% and BOE falling 6.5%. Banks were hit too but off lows, ANZ dropped 2.3% with CBA down 1.8% and the Big Bank Basket falling to $292.41 (-1.9%). MQG fell 2.4% (off lows) with insurers and other financials easier. XYZ fell 4.5% and HUB down 5.4%. REITs fell, GMG off 2.0% and SCG down 3.6%. Industrials were also hit in the Monday flush. BXB down 4.8%, QAN fell 4.5% on higher jet fuel prices, TLS eased 1.3% and healthcare stocks dropped. CSL down 2.8% and RMD off 3.2%. Tech stocks back under pressure again, XRO down 4.8% and TNE off 3.7%. The All-Tech Index fell 3.7%.In corporate news, DNL fell 9.7% on the sale of its fertiliser business. DGT fell 7.4% as its CEO stepped back for a time. PME fell 0.9% despite a renewal of a $40m contract. NAN gained 3.8% on FDA clearance for an expanded range of indications.In economic news, nothing on the local front. 10-year yields jumped to 4.94%. Asian market flushed, Japan down 6.8% (Nikkei), Topix down 4.5%, HK down 2.4% and China down 0.9%. Korea KOSPI down 8.8%.US Futures down. DJ down 831. The ASX 200 smashed lower from the start. Red lights out and down we went. At the chequered flag, the index was down 89 points to 8851 (1.0%). Off lows. Narrow range trading again. Down around 3.8% for the week. Worse week since April. In the pits today was ‘Team iron Ore', BHP down 4.2% being a big drag on racing. RIO falling 3.6% and FMG slipping 0.7%. BHP having issues with the stewards in China again on products. Gold miners also feeling tired today as the sell-off continues, despite the bullion price relatively steady. Those on the podium recently have been hit, whilst the losers are being bought up. The tech sector is doing well on its one-stop strategy, with the All-Tech Index up 3.9%. WTC racing ahead up 10.8% and XRO rallying 4.5% as it sees a push! Push! Push! Old skool tech also bounced, REA up 4.9% with TLS solid lap times up 1.2%.Banks skidded with the Big Bank Basket down to $297.93 (-0.4%) as drivers rested. Financials though generally better, MQG up 0.7% and even GQG cutting corners unchanged.  Even ZIP managed a lower podium finish, up 3.7%. MFG charging up 9.3% as the Lowy family takes a stake in the new merged business. Energy stocks were mixed, coal stocks eased back on the throttle, WDS and STO better as DRS kicked in and uranium stocks seeing brake failure and suffering losses.In corporate news, DYL dropped 11.8% on results, Iron ore stocks pulled lower on reports that China's state backed buyer had found some cargoes had been flouting restrictions.In economic news, the ACCC warned petrol retailers from price gouging. The ASX 200 limped around most of the day closing up 39 points to 8940 (0.4%) with a conviction less rally. Banks found their feet with CBA up 0.4% and the Big Bank Basket up to $299.13 (+0.5%). MQG had a rare good day up 3.8% with insurers and other financials better, ZIP rose 9.9%. REITs were mixed, GMG up 2.4% and SCG off 0.5%. In industrials, WES continue to flop, down another 0.7%. Retail was flat, Healthcare better led by CSL up 2.5% and RMD up 0.8%. Tech had a good day too. WTC up 7.1% and XRO up 4.3% with the All-Tech Index up 3.4%. Resources were a hodge-podge. Gold miners slid again with small across the board losses, EVN down 2.1% and NST down 1.9%. Iron ore majors were mixed, BHP down 1.0% and RIO up 1.2%. Lithium stocks better, higher oil prices push many towards electrification. PLS up 1.5% and LTR rising 2.3%. Copper stocks not doing much. Uranium stocks were better, PDN up 2.2% and NXG rising 3.2%. Both VEA and ALD had solid days on petrol price rises. WDS eased 1.0% and STO up 1.0%. Coal stocks were bid up, WHC up 4.3% but NHC down 1.8%.In corporate news, SGR unchanged as the Court ruled that ASIC failed to prove its case. TLC down 0.7% after bringing in a new operating model. On the economic front, China held its Congress with new targets. Day 5 - The ASX 200 fell another 176 points to 8901 (1.9%) as resources and banks came under pressure. Asian regional markets went into full panic mode with Korea down 11%, its largest move since the GFC. It had been a tear for some weeks and has now come undone. Resources were under serious pressure from the off. BHP down 3.5% with FMG off 3.0% and the gold miners down but not quite out. NST down 2.5% and EVN off 4.7%. Lithium stocks dropped, LTR down 3.2% and PLS off 1.3%. Copper stocks also falling hard, SFR down 2.9% and CSC down 2.2%. BSL bucked the trend as management said it was happy to chat to SGH! Uranium stocks dipped with PDN down 7.6% and BOE falling 8.4%. Oil and gas stocks were slightly lower, STO down 0.4%, BPT dipping 0.9% and VEA off 1.9%. WDS rose 0.9%.Banks fell after safe haven status was revoked today. CBA down 1.2% and MQG falling 2.5% as the Big Bank Basket dropped to $ (%). ANZ a big casualty off %. An interesting day as the ASX 200 closed up 2 points at 9201. A good fight back from early losses as we await the day's action in Iran. The playbook for a conflict was back in force. Gold miners rose with NST up 4.8% and EVN rising 6.6%, base metal stocks also rose with oil and gas stocks flying high, STO up 6.7% with KAR rallying 15.2% on a broker upgrade too. Uranium stocks firmed. The big miners were solid, BHP and RIO up around 1.4% although FMG fell 3.0% as it went ex-dividend. Travel stocks fell, WEB down % and FLT off 5.7%. QAN down 5.4% although VGN rose 4.5%. Retail stocks eased back as oil price rises will take away some demand. ALL down 1.8% and JBH off 0.7%. Tech stocks were hurt, more on US tech than any war discount. WTC dropped % and XRO fell % with the All-Tech Index down 2.5%. Banks were flat with the Big Bank Basket down to $302.24 (%). Issues more with mortgage fraud and following US banks lower. MQG hit for six on US investment bank woes, Plus MFG announced a merger with Barrenjoey.  Other financials also eased back. In corporate news, LYC jumped 5.4% on a renewal of its Malaysian licence for another ten years. MAF dropped 2.6% after agreeing to sell Infinite Care. MFG in a halt, as it raises $130m to merge with Barrenjoey. In economic news, Job advertisements in Australia rose back-to-back for the first time in 16 months. Asian markets weaker, South Korea closed, Japan down 1.3% with airline stocks in Asia under serious pressure. HK down 1.6% and China down 0.1%10-year yields fall to 4.64%US Futures obviously weaker but off lows, weaker despite Nvidia results beating forecasts. DJ down 360 Nasdaq down 180. Passato prossimo o imperfetto? Quante volte ti sei fatto questa domanda? Questo è uno degli argomenti più difficili della grammatica italiana, e persino gli studenti più avanzati continuano a fare gli stessi errori. In questo articolo imparerai a riconoscere e a evitare i 5 errori più comuni che gli stranieri fanno quando devono scegliere tra passato prossimo e imperfetto, scoprendo perché sono sbagliati e, soprattutto, come correggerli. 5 Errori da Evitare con Passato Prossimo e Imperfetto Errore N°1: Usare il Passato Prossimo per Descrivere nel Passato Questo è probabilmente l'errore più frequente in assoluto. Molti studenti costruiscono frasi come queste, pensando che siano corrette: "La casa è stata grande e ha avuto un giardino bellissimo." "Maria è stata una donna alta, con i capelli biondi." "Ieri ha fatto freddo e il cielo è stato grigio." Perché È Sbagliato? In italiano, quando vuoi descrivere qualcosa o qualcuno nel passato — cioè quando parli di caratteristiche, stati, condizioni o situazioni di sfondo — devi usare l'imperfetto, non il passato prossimo. L'imperfetto è il tempo delle descrizioni, delle situazioni statiche, del "contesto" in cui accadono le cose. Pensa alle descrizioni come a una fotografia: sono statiche, fissano un momento senza movimento. Come Si Corregge? "La casa era grande e aveva un giardino bellissimo." "Maria era una donna alta, con i capelli biondi." "Ieri faceva freddo e il cielo era grigio." E Quando Si Usa il Passato Prossimo, Allora? Il passato prossimo si usa per le azioni, cioè per eventi che sono successi in un momento specifico, che hanno un inizio e una fine, che sono "conclusi". Le azioni sono come un film: si muovono, hanno dinamismo. "Ieri sono andato al supermercato e ho comprato il pane." "Maria è entrata nella stanza e ha salutato tutti." Un trucco per ricordare: quando descrivi, chiediti "Sto dipingendo uno scenario? Sto dando informazioni di sfondo?". Se la risposta è sì, usa l'imperfetto. Errore N°2: Usare l'Imperfetto per Azioni Svolte un Numero Preciso di Volte Ecco un altro errore molto comune che si incontra frequentemente tra gli studenti di italiano: "L'anno scorso andavo in Italia tre volte." "Ieri mangiavo due pizze." "La settimana scorsa telefonavo a mia madre cinque volte." Perché È Sbagliato? In italiano, quando un'azione è stata svolta un numero definito e preciso di volte, devi usare il passato prossimo. L'imperfetto, invece, si usa per azioni abituali, cioè azioni che si ripetevano regolarmente nel passato, senza specificare quante volte esattamente. La chiave sta nella precisione numerica: se puoi contare esattamente quante volte è successo qualcosa, allora serve il passato prossimo. Come Si Corregge? "L'anno scorso sono andato in Italia tre volte." "Ieri ho mangiato due pizze." "La settimana scorsa ho telefonato a mia madre cinque volte." Quando Si Usa l'Imperfetto per le Azioni Ripetute? Quando l'azione era un'abitudine, qualcosa che facevi regolarmente, senza un numero preciso: "Da bambino andavo spesso in Italia." (Non si dice quante volte esattamente) "Quando vivevo a Roma, mangiavo sempre la pizza il venerdì sera." "Telefonavo a mia madre ogni domenica." Ecco una regola semplice da memorizzare: Numero preciso (una volta, due volte, tre volte, dieci volte…) → passato prossimo. Frequenza generica (spesso, sempre, ogni giorno, di solito…) → imperfetto. Errore N°3: MENTRE + Passato Prossimo Questo è un errore che si sente continuamente, anche tra studenti di livello intermedio e avanzato: "Mentre ho camminato, ho incontrato Marco." "Mentre ho cucinato, è arrivato il postino." "Mentre sono stato in vacanza, mi hanno rubato la macchina." Perché È Sbagliato? La parola "mentre" introduce un'azione che fa da sfondo a un'altra azione. Questa azione di sfondo era in corso, stava accadendo, non era conclusa. Per questo motivo, "mentre" è sempre seguito dall'imperfetto. Sempre. Senza eccezioni. Questa è una delle regole più categoriche della grammatica italiana per quanto riguarda l'uso dei tempi passati. Come Si Corregge? "Mentre camminavo, ho incontrato Marco." "Mentre cucinavo, è arrivato il postino." "Mentre ero in vacanza, mi hanno rubato la macchina." Come Funziona la Frase Completa? Di solito, in queste frasi abbiamo due azioni che interagiscono tra loro: l'azione di sfondo (lunga, in corso) che richiede l'imperfetto, e l'azione principale (breve, puntuale, che "interrompe") che richiede il passato prossimo. "Mentre dormivo (sfondo, in corso), è suonato il telefono (azione puntuale)." "Mentre studiavo (sfondo), è andata via la luce (azione improvvisa)." È importante sapere che si possono anche avere due imperfetti con "mentre", quando le due azioni erano entrambe in corso contemporaneamente: "Mentre io cucinavo, lui guardava la TV." Ma ricorda: mai "mentre" + passato prossimo per l'azione di sfondo. Mai! Errore N°4: La Differenza tra "Ero in un Luogo" e "Sono Stato in un Luogo" Questa è una differenza sottile ma importante che mette in difficoltà moltissimi studenti. Osserva queste due frasi: "Ieri ero a casa." "Ieri sono stato a casa." Sono entrambe frasi corrette, ma significano cose diverse! Quando Si Usa "Ero" (Imperfetto)? Usiamo "ero" + luogo quando vogliamo indicare dove ci trovavamo in un certo momento, come contesto o sfondo per un'altra azione o situazione. Il luogo è solo un'informazione accessoria, non il focus della frase. "Ieri alle 8 ero a casa, quindi non ho visto l'incidente." "Quando mi hai chiamato, ero in ufficio." "Mentre tu eri al cinema, io ti ho cercato dappertutto!" Quando Si Usa "Sono Stato" (Passato Prossimo)? Usiamo "sono stato" + luogo quando vogliamo parlare di una visita, di un'esperienza completa, di qualcosa che abbiamo fatto intenzionalmente. In questi casi, stiamo parlando di un'azione conclusa: siamo andati in un posto, ci siamo stati, e poi siamo tornati. "L'anno scorso sono stato a Parigi per tre giorni." "Sei mai stato in Giappone?" "Ieri sono stato dal dentista." Un Esempio Che Chiarisce Tutto Guarda questa frase, dove entrambi i tempi verbali convivono perfettamente: "Quando ero in Italia, sono stato a Roma, a Firenze e a Venezia." In questo caso: "ero in Italia" = contesto generale, periodo prolungato (imperfetto); "sono stato a Roma…" = visite specifiche, esperienze concrete (passato prossimo). La regola è semplice: "ero" indica dove ti trovavi (sfondo), "sono stato" indica dove sei andato (visita, esperienza). Errore N°5: "Era una Bella Giornata" vs "È Stata una Bella Giornata" Arriviamo all'ultimo errore, che confonde moltissimi studenti. Osserva queste due frasi apparentemente simili: "Era una bella giornata." "È stata una bella giornata." Qual è la differenza? Quando si usa l'una e quando l'altra? Quando Si Usa "Era" (Imperfetto)? Usiamo "era una bella giornata" quando stiamo descrivendo lo sfondo di una storia, quando stiamo "aprendo una scena". In questo caso, la frase serve a creare l'atmosfera, a dipingere il contesto prima che succeda qualcosa di specifico. "Era una bella giornata. Il sole splendeva, gli uccelli cantavano. Improvvisamente, ho sentito un rumore strano..." Quando Si Usa "È Stata" (Passato Prossimo)? Usiamo "è stata una bella giornata" quando stiamo valutando la giornata nel suo complesso, quando diamo un giudizio finale su come è andata. La giornata è finita e noi stiamo tirando le somme. "Oggi ho fatto tante cose belle: sono andato al mare, ho visto gli amici, ho mangiato bene. È stata una bella giornata!" Un modo semplice per ricordare questa differenza: "era" apre la storia, "è stata" la chiude. L'imperfetto introduce, il passato prossimo conclude. The ASX 200 opened firm, slipped then rallied off lows as US futures stayed positive. We closed down only 4 points to 9022. Banks made a comeback, NAB up 1.0% with WBC up 1.5% and the Big Bank Basket up to $309.01 (0.3%). Financials elsewhere were smacked down on private equity fears, AI concerns and bears playing havoc post results. MQG dropped 3.6% on PE concerns, RPL rallied hard on better results, up 4.8% and NGI came under extreme pressure down 5.4%. MAF continued lower. ZIP fell another 6.4%. Insurers also fell, QBE off 1.6%. REITs too under pressure, GMG down 2.6% and SCG falling 1.1%. Industrials were mixed, WES down 1.8% and REA off 3.9% with tech under extreme pressure again, WTC fell 3.7% and XRO down 4.6% with the All-Tech Index down another 3.1%. Banale Nullità Contesto nella Serie Nell'episodio 1 della stagione 2, Jonathan Byers cerca di consolare suo fratello minore Will, che è stato preso in giro a scuola con il soprannome "Zombie Boy". Per rassicurarlo e fargli capire che essere diversi non è un difetto, Jonathan gli dice: "Va bene? E preferisco essere amico di Zombie Boy che di una banale nullità." Che Cosa Significa? Questa espressione è composta da due parole: Banale, che indica qualcosa di ordinario, scontato, senza originalità, e Nullità, che descrive una persona insignificante, priva di valore o personalità. L'espressione di base è "essere in gamba", che significa essere una persona capace, intelligente, sveglia, che sa fare le cose bene. Qui abbiamo "in gambissima", con il superlativo assoluto -issima, che rende l'espressione ancora più forte: significa essere molto in gamba, davvero eccezionale. In questo articolo imparerete a distinguere e utilizzare correttamente 14 coppie di parole italiane che creano spesso confusione tra gli stranieri che studiano la nostra lingua.Padroneggiare queste distinzioni vi farà parlare italiano in modo più naturale e preciso, e vi eviterà qualche figuraccia imbarazzante! 30 Parole che Creano Confusione in Italiano 1. VIAGGIO - GITA Cominciamo con viaggio e gita, due parole legate al tema degli spostamenti. Entrambe significano che vi muovete da qualche parte, ma c'è una bella differenza! VIAGGIO si riferisce a uno spostamento generalmente lungo, che può durare diversi giorni o addirittura settimane. È un termine più formale e generico. Pensate a un viaggio come a qualcosa di importante, magari con valigie, prenotazioni d'hotel. GITA, invece, indica un'escursione breve, solitamente di un solo giorno, spesso con scopo ricreativo o educativo. La gita è sempre qualcosa di leggero e piacevole! Differenze Chiave tra Viaggio e Gita Il viaggio è lungo, la gita è breve Il viaggio può essere per lavoro o piacere, la gita è quasi sempre per divertimento Si dice "viaggio d'affari", ma "gita scolastica" Aspetto economico: un viaggio richiede generalmente un budget più alto con hotel, voli, ristoranti, mentre una gita è più economica Pianificazione: il viaggio richiede pianificazione anticipata (prenotazioni, itinerari), la gita può essere anche spontanea, decisa all'ultimo momento Bagagli: per un viaggio servono valigie pesanti e tanti vestiti, per una gita basta uno zaino leggero! Esempi pratici di utilizzo Viaggio: "Quest'estate farò un viaggio in Giappone di tre settimane." "Il viaggio in treno da Roma a Milano dura circa 3 ore." Gita: "Domenica organizziamo una gita al lago con i bambini." "La scuola ha organizzato una gita al museo di arte moderna." 2. TERRA - SUOLO - PAVIMENTO Ecco tre parole che si riferiscono tutte a "quello che calpestiamo", ma con differenze importanti! Preparatevi, perché qui le cose si fanno interessanti. TERRA indica il pianeta Terra, il terreno naturale fatto di rocce, sabbia, erba, o anche il suolo su cui si coltiva. È la parola più generale e versatile. SUOLO è un termine più tecnico e formale che si riferisce alla superficie terrestre o al terreno, soprattutto in contesti scientifici, agricoli o geografici. PAVIMENTO è la superficie artificiale che si trova all'interno degli edifici, fatta di piastrelle, legno, marmo e via dicendo. Come Distinguere Terra, Suolo e Pavimento Terra = naturale, all'esterno Suolo = termine tecnico per il terreno Pavimento = artificiale, all'interno Contesto d'uso: "Terra" si usa anche in tante espressioni idiomatiche come "avere i piedi per terra" (essere realisti), "cadere a terra", "toccare terra", mentre "suolo" e "pavimento" non hanno questi usi figurati Pulizia: Solo il pavimento si "lava" o "pulisce" con il mocio! La terra e il suolo non si puliscono (semmai si pulisce qualcosa "dal" pavimento) Esempi pratici di utilizzo Terra: "Gli astronauti sono tornati sulla Terra dopo sei mesi nello spazio." "Il bambino gioca con la terra in giardino." "Devi essere più realista e avere i piedi per terra!" (Espressione idiomatica!) Suolo: "Il suolo di questa regione è molto fertile e adatto alla coltivazione del grano." Pavimento: "Ho pulito il pavimento della cucina con il mocio." "Attento! Ho appena lavato il pavimento, è ancora bagnato!" 3. MURO - PARETE Queste due parole possono sembrare sinonimi perfetti, ma non lo sono! È una delle distinzioni che confondono anche qualche italiano, quindi non sentitevi male. MURO è una struttura esterna, spessa e robusta, fatta generalmente di mattoni, pietra o cemento. I muri separano edifici diversi o delimitano spazi esterni. Pensate ai muri come a qualcosa di solido e massiccio, difficile da buttare giù! PARETE è una struttura interna, più sottile, che divide le stanze all'interno di un edificio. Le pareti sono generalmente intonacate e dipinte, magari di un bel colore che avete scelto con cura. Differenze Fondamentali tra Muro e Parete Muro = esterno, spesso, strutturale Parete = interna, più sottile, divisoria Funzione strutturale: il muro è quasi sempre portante, cioè sostiene il peso dell'edificio, mentre la parete può essere solo divisoria, non strutturale Materiale: i muri sono sempre in muratura solida (mattoni, pietra, cemento), le pareti interne possono essere anche in cartongesso o altri materiali leggeri Demolizione: abbattere un muro richiede permessi edilizi perché è strutturale, spostare una parete divisoria è molto più semplice e spesso non serve nemmeno il permesso! Esempi pratici di utilizzo Muro: "Il muro di cinta del giardino è alto tre metri." "Il muro di Berlino fu abbattuto nel 1989." "Prima di abbattere quel muro, devi chiedere il permesso al comune perché è portante." Parete: "Voglio appendere questo quadro alla parete del soggiorno." "Le pareti di questa casa sono sottili, si sente tutto dai vicini!" 4. CONGELARE - SURGELARE Entrambe queste parole hanno a che fare con il freddo estremo, ma attenzione: NON sono intercambiabili! CONGELARE significa portare qualcosa a una temperatura molto bassa fino a quando diventa ghiaccio o si solidifica. Si usa anche in senso figurato quando avete così tanto freddo che vi sentite trasformare in un ghiacciolo umano! SURGELARE è un processo industriale specifico che porta gli alimenti a temperature bassissime molto rapidamente per conservarli a lungo mantenendo qualità e nutrienti. I prodotti surgelati sono quelli che trovate al supermercato nel reparto freezer. Differenze Principali tra Congelare e Surgelare Congelare = processo generico, può essere casalingo (anche voi stessi quando fa freddo) Surgelare = processo industriale specifico per alimenti (quello professionale) Temperatura: la surgelazione raggiunge temperature molto più basse (almeno -18°C) e molto rapidamente, mentre il congelamento casalingo è più lento e può essere meno freddo Cristalli di ghiaccio: la surgelazione rapida crea cristalli di ghiaccio molto più piccoli che preservano meglio la struttura, il sapore e i nutrienti dell'alimento. Il congelamento lento crea cristalli più grandi che possono danneggiare le cellule del cibo Uso casalingo vs industriale: a casa, nel vostro freezer, voi "congelate" gli alimenti. In fabbrica, con macchinari speciali, si "surgela" Esempi pratici di utilizzo Congelare: "L'acqua della fontana si è congelata a causa del freddo." "Sto congelando! Possiamo accendere il riscaldamento?" "Ho congelato gli avanzi della cena nel freezer." (Processo casalingo) Surgelare: "I piselli surgelati mantengono meglio le vitamine di quelli in scatola." "Quando faccio la spesa, compro sempre verdure surgelate perché sono più comode e durano di più." 5. SENTIRE - ASCOLTARE Qui abbiamo una distinzione fondamentale tra un'azione passiva e una attiva! È un po' come la differenza tra guardare passivamente la TV e veramente prestare attenzione a quello che succede. SENTIRE è un verbo che indica la percezione involontaria di suoni attraverso l'orecchio. Non richiede concentrazione o volontà. ASCOLTARE significa prestare attenzione volontariamente a qualcosa che si sente. Richiede concentrazione e interesse. È quello che fate quando mettete le cuffie e vi concentrate sulla vostra canzone preferita. Differenze Essenziali tra Sentire e Ascoltare Sentire = passivo, involontario Ascoltare = attivo, volontario Con altri sensi: "Sentire" si usa anche per l'olfatto ("sento un buon profumo di caffè"), il gusto ("sento un sapore strano") e le sensazioni fisiche ("sento caldo", "sento freddo", "sento dolore"). "Ascoltare" invece funziona SOLO con l'udito! Attenzione paradossale: potete ascoltare anche senza sentire bene (se il volume è troppo basso o c'è rumore), oppure sentire senza ascoltare (quando qualcuno vi parla ma voi state ignorando volontariamente quello che dice) Espressioni comuni: si dice "sentirsi male/bene" per indicare uno stato fisico o emotivo, ma non si dice mai "ascoltarsi male"! Altre espressioni possono essere: "sentire la mancanza di qualcuno", "non sentirsi apprezzato" Esempi pratici di utilizzo Sentire: "Ho sentito un rumore strano in giardino." "Sento la musica dei vicini, è troppo alta!" (La percepisco, anche se preferirei non farlo) "Sento un profumo delizioso! Cosa stai cucinando?" (Olfatto) "Non mi sento bene, ho mal di testa." (Stato fisico) Ascoltare: "Ogni sera ascolto un podcast in italiano per migliorare la lingua." "Ascoltami quando ti parlo!" "Ti ascolto, dimmi tutto!" (Sto prestando attenzione volontariamente) 6. SCONTRINO - RICEVUTA - FATTURA I documenti fiscali italiani rappresentano una delle aree più complesse della lingua, creando confusione anche tra i parlanti nativi. Comprendere le differenze tra questi tre termini è fondamentale per gestire correttamente le transazioni commerciali e amministrative. Vediamo le distinzioni nel dettaglio. SCONTRINO è il documento fiscale che ricevete quando fate un acquisto in un negozio, bar o ristorante. Viene stampato dalla cassa e contiene informazioni minime: prezzo, data, nome del negozio. SWTOR In SWTOR, we closed out 2025 with our Winter Nights celebration which was 4 evenings of guild activities including a tour of World Bosses where we took a piece of armor off after each successive fight, stronghold tours, dressing up in our Life Day finest, a clothing drive on the starter planets, a parade of Life Day mounts, and a cracking good trivia night. Great way to spend the last gaming week of 2025. On to 2026! Next week is Total Galactic War! Again! This time we are ready for it. Mostly. The cosmic crafter and gatherer area has new updates, and crafters have pink heart themed items to make new. Hildebrand has more story, and the Air Force One GATE has a new place to fly around and pew pew.. The Strategy Board is live, and everyone is clearly using it for helpful raid explanations and mechanics demonstrations. Totally. Free login campaign has started. Up to 96 hours from when you start it. Ends February 9th. STO KDF fleet has made some big strides with the fleet holdings. The Starbase will complete the Tier IV shipyard in just about a week. Which means after that we can start tossing resources in for a tier IV Starbase. Also the Research lab is closing in on Tier III. What all this means is more fleet ships will be accessible. And once the research lab hits Tier III, the purchasable trait slots will be available. Fleet Action Report has been doing playthroughs of the missions showcasing accolades and recruit special tasks, while letting you know what rewards could be handy for your ships or on ground. Conoscerle ti permetterà di parlare in modo più naturale e di fare bella figura con i tuoi amici italiani... nonostante arrivi 30 minuti dopo l'orario dell'appuntamento. 12 Modi per NON Dire "SONO IN RITARDO" in Italiano Registro Neutro: Espressioni Standard per Ogni Situazione Partiamo dalle espressioni più comuni, quelle che puoi usare sia quando parli che quando scrivi, per esempio in un messaggio WhatsApp o in un'email. Queste formule sono versatili e appropriate in quasi tutti i contesti. Espressioni da Usare Quando Arrivi in Ritardo 1. "Scusa, Ho Avuto un Contrattempo." Questa è un'espressione elegante e versatile. Un contrattempo è qualcosa di imprevisto, qualcosa che non avevi pianificato e che ti ha fatto perdere tempo. La parola viene da "contro" + "tempo", quindi letteralmente qualcosa che va contro il tempo che avevi programmato. Può riferirsi a qualsiasi situazione: il treno era in ritardo, hai perso le chiavi di casa, hai ricevuto una telefonata urgente. In generale, tutti quei piccoli imprevisti della vita quotidiana. Questa espressione è particolarmente utile perché è abbastanza vaga: non devi spiegare esattamente cosa è successo se non vuoi. È educata, professionale, e funziona in quasi tutte le situazioni. Esempi di utilizzo: "Scusa, ho avuto un contrattempo: il mio cane ha mangiato le mie scarpe!" "Mi dispiace per il ritardo, ho avuto un piccolo contrattempo stamattina." "Purtroppo ho avuto un contrattempo e non sono riuscito ad arrivare in tempo." "Ho avuto dei contrattempi" (plurale, se sono successe più cose) 2. "Scusa, Sono Stato Trattenuto." Questa espressione è interessante dal punto di vista grammaticale. Usiamo il verbo trattenere al passivo. Trattenere significa "tenere qualcuno in un luogo", "non lasciarlo andare". Quindi "sono stato trattenuto" significa che qualcuno o qualcosa ti ha tenuto in un posto più a lungo del previsto, impedendoti di andare via. È un'espressione molto comune nel mondo del lavoro. Può riferirsi a situazioni in cui il capo ti ha fermato per parlarti di un progetto, una riunione si è prolungata, un cliente ti ha fatto molte domande, o una telefonata importante è durata più del previsto. Il vantaggio di questa espressione è che suggerisce che non è colpa tua: qualcun altro ti ha trattenuto. È come dire "Non potevo fare altrimenti, qualcuno aveva bisogno di me." Esempi di utilizzo: "Perdonami, sono stata trattenuta in ufficio dal mio capo." "Scusate il ritardo, sono stato trattenuto da una telefonata importante." "Mi dispiace, sono stata trattenuta: un collega aveva bisogno del mio aiuto." Nota grammaticale importante: Ricorda di accordare il participio passato con il soggetto. Questa espressione è elegante e mostra intelligenza emotiva. Invece di concentrarti solo sul tuo errore (essere in ritardo), riconosci il fatto che le altre persone hanno dovuto aspettarti, e le ringrazii per la loro pazienza. È un approccio psicologicamente efficace: quando ringrazii qualcuno, quella persona si sente apprezzata e tende a essere meno arrabbiata con te. È come dire: "So che il vostro tempo è prezioso e vi ringrazio per aver dedicato parte di quel tempo ad aspettarmi." Questa espressione funziona particolarmente bene in situazioni di gruppo, per esempio se arrivi tardi a una riunione, a una cena con amici, o a un evento dove le persone ti stavano aspettando per cominciare. Esempi di utilizzo: "Grazie mille per avermi aspettato, mi dispiace davvero tanto per il ritardo!" "Vi ringrazio per la pazienza, so che vi ho fatto aspettare e mi dispiace." "Grazie per non aver iniziato senza di me, mi scuso per il disagio." Combinazione efficace: "Grazie per avermi aspettato. Ho avuto un contrattempo, mi dispiace molto." Espressioni da Usare Quando Sei Ancora in Viaggio 4. "Sto Facendo Tardi, Ma Arrivo!" Fare tardi è un'espressione idiomatica molto usata in italiano. Significa "accumulare ritardo", "non riuscire a rispettare l'orario previsto". È diversa da "essere in ritardo" perché indica un processo in corso: il ritardo sta aumentando mentre parli. Usiamo questa espressione soprattutto quando siamo ancora in movimento, per avvisare qualcuno che non arriveremo puntuali. È adatta per i messaggi di testo, le telefonate veloci, o i vocali su WhatsApp. Il verbo fare in italiano è molto versatile e lo usiamo in tantissime espressioni idiomatiche: fare tardi, fare presto, fare bella figura, fare brutta figura, fare un favore. È uno di quei verbi che devi conoscere bene. Esempi di utilizzo: "Ehi, sto facendo tardi... il traffico è impossibile! Arrivo tra 10 minuti!" "Scusami, sto facendo tardissimo! "Sono per Strada, Arrivo Subito!" Questa è un'espressione rassicurante. Essere per strada significa che sei già uscito di casa, sei già in movimento verso la tua destinazione. Non sei ancora sul divano, non ti stai ancora preparando: sei già fisicamente in viaggio. È un'espressione importante da conoscere perché la sentirai frequentemente nella vita quotidiana italiana. Quando qualcuno ti chiede "Dove sei?", rispondere "Sono per strada!" comunica immediatamente che stai arrivando. Esempi di utilizzo: "Tranquillo, sono già per strada! Cinque minuti e sono lì!" Registro Informale: Espressioni da Usare tra Amici Passiamo ora al registro informale. Queste sono le espressioni che sentirai tra amici, in famiglia, o nelle serie TV italiane. Alcune sono molto colloquiali e colorite. Attenzione: Queste espressioni sono adatte con amici e familiari, ma non usarle in contesti formali come colloqui di lavoro, riunioni importanti, o con persone che non conosci bene. Espressioni Colorite e Colloquiali 6. "Sono in Ritardo Marcio!" Questa è un'espressione tipicamente italiana. L'aggettivo marcio normalmente significa "rotten" in inglese, qualcosa che è andato a male, che si è decomposto. Pensa a una mela marcia o a del legno marcio. Tuttavia, quando lo usiamo dopo un sostantivo o un aggettivo, marcio diventa un intensificatore, cioè rafforza il significato di quello che viene prima. Quindi "in ritardo marcio" significa "in ritardo tantissimo", "in ritardo in modo grave". È un'espressione espressiva e colorita, tipica del parlato informale. La sentirai spesso tra giovani e in contesti casual. Esempi di utilizzo: "Oddio, sono in ritardo marcio! La riunione è iniziata venti minuti fa!" "Sbrigati! Siamo in ritardo marcio per il film!" Essere incasinato significa essere in una situazione confusa, caotica, disordinata. Viene dalla parola "casino" che in italiano informale significa "confusione, disordine, caos". Attenzione alla pronuncia e all'ortografia: "Casino" (con una sola S) significa "confusione" in italiano informale. "Casinò" (con l'accento) è il luogo dove si gioca d'azzardo. Sono due parole diverse. Quando dici "Sono incasinato con gli orari", stai comunicando che la tua giornata è stata caotica, che hai avuto difficoltà a organizzare il tuo tempo, che tutto è andato storto con la tua programmazione. È fondamentale conoscerli per evitare errori comuni. 1. Salute e Condizione Generale Quando vuoi chiedere o rispondere riguardo alla salute o alla condizione generale di una persona, usi STARE. Questa è probabilmente una delle prime cose che impari in italiano! Posizione Fisica del Corpo Quando vuoi descrivere la posizione fisica che il corpo di una persona sta assumendo (seduto, in piedi, sdraiato...), puoi usare STARE. During 2025, Dankinia demonstrated her floor tanking abilities 172 times. While she is out, Celindre will be leading Noob Raid – After Dark during the normal 11pm EST time slot each Saturday. In WoW, Midnight – the next expansion – has a release date of March 2nd with the pre-patch release on Jan 13. Anyone with an Epic Edition pre-order will have early access – expected Feb 27 according to WoWHead. Players with early access will also be able to use the new Player Housing feature as of Dec 2. This will be a bit complicated for AIE and our co-guilds, which are one of several ways to join “neighborhoods” for player housing. Every player’s Warband gets two houses – one Horde and one Alliance, but any alt can access either home. There will be open neighborhoods that are server wide, and Guilds can create private neighborhoods open to anyone in that guild. Groups of friends (such as Raid Teams) can also create charters for their own neighborhoods. We will have neighb orhoods for all the co-guilds (probably) but haven’t assigned which officer will be assigned to which yet. Currently, in addition to the Legion Remix event (speed leveling/transmog/mounts etc), the WoW Anniversary is active in Retail WoW, with a rep & xp boost. Visiting the Anniversary Celebration at the Caverns of Time will provide an additional buff. Rep is good – because it’s one of the ways to obtain decor for Player Housing. SWTOR SWTOR will see a holiday release of update 7.8 entitled “Pursuit of Ruin”. It will include a new story chapter, a new type of Dynamic Encounter, and a new stronghold (player housing). That’s not to mention Life Day festivities, with the snow balls and the wookiee hugging. Also, for the first year ever, we will be trying out a new guild event during the evenings between Christmas and New Years. Stay tuned to discord for more info on that! ESO MFN in ESO generally takes the month of December off, but expect to find a couple of people hanging out at the normal time on Friday nights though the holidays. The instance cluster for the expansion is expected to be delayed, which means this gives a chance to level up to the new level cap and get a group together and look at it as a kinship. Also looking forward to the Yule Festival that starts on December 11th. Join us as we look to have fun in Frostbluff as well as protecting it in “The Battle of Frostbluff”. STO Yes, it’s true, Cryptic studios has once again been sold. However, this is not a time for doom and gloom. The new owners have no intentions of sunsetting STO. In fact, STO has simply returned to its original owners who want to see the game succeed. There are ongoing sales in both the Zen Store and Mudd’s Market. Some of these are as high as 50% off! Lifetime Subscriptions are 33% off until Dec 14th Q’s Winter Wonderland will be returning on Dec 9th.
