Can you smell this episode from where you're standing? Where you're sitting? YIKES look at these teams. Sam Kennedy couldn't have picked a better team. There is no need for these player introductions. This is a villain episode. They all make appearances. Consider them all a slider in the dirt. Visiting guests: JustinMLB from Pod By The River, Timmahwatt and Jordan Leandre from The Pesky Report, and Rob Anglin from The Pesky Pod

Ed and Hunter Noll of Pesky Report go over the season that was in the minor leagues and answer YOUR questions! Intrigued? Then it's time to listen to Pod by the River!
Jordan is riding solo for this episode as the Boston Red Sox muster up five runs while striking out 33 times against the fourth-place Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. The good news? Triston Casas and Trevor Story both homered, Brayan Bello and Tanner Houck were solid, and we got at least one more Martin-to-Kenley shutdown before both veterans hit free agency upon the conclusion of the 2024 season. The bad news? Everything else kinda sucked. Nick Pivetta gave up three homers, Josh Winckowski tried his schtick of downplaying him not doing his job again and the Duran-Devers one-two punch has become a catalyst for the offensive woes in September. Later, Jordan offers fellow Pesky Report host Jake his best wishes as he recovers from surgery and suggests the rest of Pesky's listeners to do the same. Lastly, if you're interested in joining our content team for the 2025 season, you can shoot Jordan a DM on Twitter (@JordanLeandre55 or @ThePeskyReport). Jordan, Jake and Doink are joined by former Boston Red Sox infielder and current broadcaster Lou Merloni on this special bonus episode of The Pesky Report. In this episode, Lou talks about what Trade Deadline season does to a clubhouse and how the mantra that standing pat because you "believe in the roster" is a crock of garbage. Lou also gives his insight into the team's slow start since the All-Star Break and how that doesn't change his view of what they should do from a deadline approach standpoint. He also lays out what could factor as a huge platoon problem for this team moving forward, which is why he deems nobody un-tradeable. Derrik, Hunter and Jake were thrilled to be joined by Salem Red Sox manager Liam Carroll for this week's MiLB Talk on the Pesky Report! We asked Liam about his unique path to working in Minor League Baseball in America, as he is believed to be the first European-developed ballplayer to become an MiLB manager. We talked to Carroll about his experience managing several current and former Salem players, including recent show guest Jojo Ingrassia as well as Allan Castro, Yordanny Monegro, Nelly Taylor and more. News broke this week about Miguel Bleis' imminent promotion to Greenville, so we asked Carroll about how he's changed since his injury last year, how he has handled his superstar prospect status and what it's like to have him in the clubhouse. Friends — baseball is almost over, at least for these two teams. The Red Sox will likely finish last in 2023, worse than .500 at the time of this recording. The White Sox sit in fourth place, just slightly better than the somehow sadder Royals. The Red Sox fired their chief baseball operator Chaim Bloom. The White Sox replaced bad with worse in the firing of Rick Hahn and Ken Williams, only to hire within by bringing in Chris Getz. But as Bayleigh Von Schneider points out, the Red Sox will probably be good next year — and their owners will spend money. Some of you might remember Bayleigh, my co-host for Soxy Chicks. She also contributes to The Pesky Report, and the two of us often have each other on for other podcasts. We break down the woes for both teams and try to determine how this series might go. What happened in Boston this season? Thoughts on Chaim Bloom's firing Bayleigh's pick for MVP Off-season targets and 2024 predictions Chicken pot pies, Boston accents, and that time David Ortiz dropped the F-bomb Old friend alert and pitching matchups The keys, the fears, and what player will have the most impact on the series Out backup plans for both divisions and thoughts on who might win it all. Somehow we never talked about the Scream series! Hunter brings up Yordanny Monegro's great start and how he induced quite a reaction from someone on the opposing team. Later, the guys talk about the end of the season in Portland and the many, many strong prospects who passed through there this year. They chat about Roman Anthony's year along with Nick Yorke, Chase Meidroth, Isaac Coffey and more. Jake steps in to host this week's midweek Pesky Report and is joined by Brad and Doink. The crew goes through the lowlights of a very rough Red Sox series sweep at the hands of the vaunted Astros at Fenway Park. What the heck happened in the game on Monday, aka the Kyle Barraclough Game? The crew dissects the bullpen decisions and laments the factors that led to such a tired pitching staff. They also speculate on what Chaim Bloom and Alex Verdugo were talking about after the game Wednesday. On the bright side, Adam Duvall has been destroying the baseball and Ceddanne Rafaela looked strong in his first couple games in Boston. The crew then starts looking ahead a little bit to 2024, talking about where the Red Sox outfield mix could stand next year, pitchers they could acquire, and the dire need for the team to improve defensively. They also provide an adequate amount of Yankees slander, extolled the virtues of Zack Greinke, and look forward to what should hopefully be a better series in Kansas City against the lowly Royals. The White Sox look to make up for the abysmal Rangers series by hosting the Red Sox this weekend. Boston might be sitting in last place in the American League East, but that doesn't mean they're not having a great season. Boston sits 12 games back in the division, but comfortably at .520. Unfortunately for Boston, they're in a divisional fight with the Rays, Orioles, Yankees, and Blue Jays ... also known as a good division. I wonder what that's like. The Red Sox were on the other end of a complete game against the Twins yesterday, but that doesn't mean this series will be easy for the White Sox. We're finally here at episode 100, and we're doing it BIG! For a "throwaway pay-per-view" like Judgment Day, this one was freakin' awesome! Almost everything in the WWF in the year 2000 was hot as hell and almost everyone was over as all hell! Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit tore it up for the Intercontinental Title, Triple H and the Rock faced off in a 60-minute Iron Man match for the WWF World Heavyweight Title, and above all else...the Undertaker returned from injury. But was he the Deadman? No! He was riding a motorcycle, coming out to Kid Rock's "American Badass," and the crowd was all the way there for it! In the news, we cover how Buff Bagwell got arrested, a WWE Hall of Famer passed away, and ECW was still alive and kicking...for a while.Special thanks to: TSS Fantasy Podcast, Curtain Jerkin', Pesky Report, Apron Bump Podcast, The Warren Hayes Show, Injured List Podcast, and the Scoreboard Addicts PodcastALL PODCAST, SOCIAL MEDIA, & MERCHANDISE LINKS: linktr.ee/MainEventMarksCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.com & bonfire.com/store/maineventmarksGET FUELED WITH SHOCKED ENERGY: https://shockedenergy.com/collections/all?sca_ref=1814354.mOXH7RrwKh&sca_source=MainEventMarks (promo code: MainEvent for 10% off)ORDER FROM SWIFT LIFESTYLES: SwiftLifestyles.com, use PROMO CODE: MainEventMarks at checkout for 15% offLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 9PM EST: tikilive.com/channel/BURNS

In this episode, Zack, Ryan, and Brad discuss the awful start by the Red Sox. They do talk about being optimistic with this team. Should Kikè be taken out of the lead-off spot? Ryan thinks that he should be the #9 hitter, Zack & Brad think he should hit #7 to break up the strike-out hitters. Richards outing could have gone a lot better.
