Jessi explains Downland's mission to facilitate the smooth transition of farmland ownership through a three-part solution: preparing successors, finding suitable matches, and ensuring legally sound transactions. They delve into the human and emotional aspects of succession planning, emphasizing the need for values alignment, comprehensive financial planning, and innovative tools to ease the process. Jessi Roesch, founder and CEO of Downland, helps farmers and landowners pass down their land to the next generation. All told, Democracy Forward brought more than 100 legal actions against the prior administration for abuses of power, stopping harmful policies and improving the lives of millions. Following the events of January 6, 2021, Democracy Forward expanded the scope and reach of its work to address anti-democratic activity across the nation, including countering the work of far-right legal organizations who are seeking to reverse our nation's progress. It has taken more than 700+ actions and works alongside more than 400+ clients and partners, filing cases across a range of issues, including those that advance reproductive health care, protect the freedom to read, defend civil rights, and preserve crucial checks and balances in our system of government. Under Ms. Perryman's leadership, Democracy Forward has emerged as a leader in unmasking Project 2025 - an effort backed by more than 100 far-right organizations to enable a future anti-democratic presidential administration to take swift action to roll back our rights and freedoms, and hurt the American people. A life of faith is a truly life of adventure. It's a life where you continuously have to say yes to God. Today, our sermon is not about God's decision to deliver you but it's about your decision to follow Him. This text in Joshua shows us that God has a promise place prepared for the children of Israel. But in order to see the promise Israel has to move forward. I believe this text is prophetic for our church, God has a promise prepared for us to receive but in order to see it'll take the church deciding to believe in faith and move forward

In this final installment of our “Lord, Help Me—I'm Offended” series, we explore the power of moving forward after offense. Based in Proverbs 18:19, we uncover how offense can create walls that isolate and trap us—keeping us stuck in the same emotional and spiritual place. But God never intended for us to live locked in bitterness or pain. With Philippians 3:13-14 as our guide, we discuss the importance of forgetting what's behind and pressing toward the mark of our high calling in Christ. This episode encourages you to release what hurt you, resist the temptation to rehearse the offense, and embrace the freedom found in forgiveness and forward movement. If you've struggled to let go or felt stuck because of what someone said or did, this conversation is for you. God is calling you to heal, grow, and keep walking—not to stay where you were wounded. Tune in and take the next step in your journey to freedom.

Jennifer is a 3L at Albany Law School. It works as a Law Clerk at Lippes Mathias and as the Executive Director of the Albany Law School Anthony V. Cardona '70 Moot Court Program. Jenn's journey is full of self-discovery, and amazing insights about the Law School experience, while they are fresh in the mind. Jennifer and I started at Cazenovia College, where she graduated with degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice. With no family in the legal industry, Jennifer had to DIY her way through the admissions process, using Google and any online resources she could get her hands on. This would lead her to Albany Law the following fall. Jennifer would then speak about her First-year experience, as a great struggle, and an ego check. She would gain tremendous amounts of resiliency through this, as well as gain new study habits. Through this first-year experience, she advised others to give themselves more time to study, focus intently on the work in front of them, write out their notes, and find those all-important study groups to leverage the knowledge of others. We then spoke about the various legal internships she has had, describing them as eye-opening experiences, as well as the utilization of LinkedIn to find said opportunities. Through these experiences, she would learn the differences between the practice of law and the study of law, and the overlapping utility of them both. Finally we spoke about Jennifer's position as the Executive Director of the Albany Law School Anthony V. Cardona '70 Moot Court Program. She describes how she arrived there and how amazing her experience has been thus far. In the end, Jennifer suggests to others to stay true to themselves and constantly improve one day at a time! Thank you for being part of the conversation.  This is Play It Forward.  Real people.  Real stories.  The struggle to Play It Forward.  Episode 638 with racial justice educator and author Christine Saxman. The idea that White people are under attack has permeated political discourse in recent elections. The election of 2024 will be no different. Being White Today: A Roadmap for a Positive Antiracist Life helps White people navigate the myriad messages they encounter about race. The book applies the White racial identity framework developed by psychologist Dr. Janet Helms to take a strong stance against racism. Using fictionalized scenarios and case studies, it offers a way to resist extremist messaging and recruitment. A helpful resource for White people who care about US society, in particular, White parents, educators, activists, and racial/social justice practitioners, this book also helps people understand antiracist messaging and how to use it strategically to create a larger community of White antiracists.   The last decade witnessed two significant trends: (1) White nationalists successfully instilled weaponized messages related to White identity throughout conservative politics. (2) The movement for Black lives called on White people to grapple with their racial position and support racial justice efforts. While the far-right's manipulative messaging is provocative and easy to grasp, antiracist messaging is complex and nuanced, which allows for significant misunderstanding. The competing narratives result in many White people disengaging entirely from issues of race and racial justice. Given that White identity is top-of-mind for politicians and activists across the political spectrum leading toward the 2024 election, it is essential that White people understand how White racial identity functions and react usefully. Being White Today connects the dots between far-right messaging, antiracism's demands, and the role White racial identity plays in today's politics and people's lives. Tochluk and Saxman wrote Being White Today to help White people become resilient in the face of far-right manipulation. With empathy, nuance, and skill, the book achieves this by providing people with a positive vision for how to communicate effectively with White friends, family, and co-workers about race.  Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

A 14 year old campaigning to get international flights back to Dunedin has today put his case to the country's Prime Minister. Up until the Covid-19 pandemic hit, Virgin Australia flew directly between Brisbane and Dunedin each week - but the route didn't reopen once international travel resumed. So last October, Benjamin Paterson started a petition calling for the flights to be brought back, gathering an incredible 25,000 signatures. This morning Benjamin met with Christopher Luxon at the Beehive. Benjamin Paterson speaks to Susana Leiataua.

SAGA: Space Arena Ground Arena | A Star Wars:Unlimited Podcast

Summary In this episode, Mr. Ben and BananaCrapshoot discuss their experiences with card games and share their predictions for Star Wars Unlimited in 2024. They also review and provide their thoughts on several card reveals. Overall, they express excitement for the game and anticipate a positive and non-toxic community. The conversation methodically reviews and evaluates various cards, discussing their abilities and impact. The chapters cover topics such as card abilities, specific card evaluations, and the potential synergies within different deck archetypes. In this episode, the hosts review several cards from the Star Wars Unlimited game. They discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each card and their potential impact on gameplay. The cards reviewed include Vanguard Ace, Inferno, Del Meeko, K2SO, Attack Pattern Delta, and Precision Fire. The hosts also answer a listener question about their desired card mechanic. Overall, they express optimism about the game and the community surrounding it. Takeaways Star Wars Unlimited is capturing the attention of players and generating excitement. The community is expected to be welcoming and non-toxic. Thrawn and Boba Fett are predicted to be strong leaders in the set one meta. The release of Star Wars Unlimited is expected to have a successful global launch. The Jedi Lightsaber upgrade is considered a powerful card that can significantly boost a unit's stats. Card abilities and their impact on gameplay are important considerations when evaluating cards. Certain cards, like the Avenger and Ruthless Raider, have powerful abilities that can greatly impact the game. Some cards, like the Cantina Bouncer and Red 3, are strong in specific deck archetypes. The Jawa Scavenger is a valuable card for countering shields and can disrupt certain deck strategies. Vanguard Ace is a versatile card that can be used to rip shields off a target and set up a kill shot. Inferno four is a decent space unit that provides deck filtering and can disrupt opponent's events. Del Meeko is a playable card that can make opponent's events cost more, potentially disrupting combo decks. K2SO is a strong card with overwhelm and a powerful ability when defeated, making it a valuable addition to decks. Attack Pattern Delta is a potentially powerful card that can generate a significant tempo swing, but it is vulnerable to counterplay. Precision Fire is a good event that provides a cheap way to get Saboteur. Desired card mechanics include deck fixing and draw fixing effects, as well as cards that get a payoff from sacrificing units.
