Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut has taken a lead role in forcefully sounding the alarm about Donald Trump. He's urged Democrats to use their power creatively to constrain Trump's abuses. But in recent days, Trump's consolidation of authoritarian power has expanded. And we're in the middle of a government shutdown fight in which Democrats are drawing a hard line, but not for an end to Trump's lawbreaking. Trump has responded by escalating the lawless threats toward Blue America. In an interview with us, Murphy offers a lengthy indictment of all of Trump's lawlessness, corruption, malevolence and authoritarianism. It all adds up to a bracing, extraordinary takedown: Murphy says we're dangerously close to losing democracy, explains why other Democrats aren't acting as alarmed, and outlines what can still be done to stave off Trump's dictatorial designs before it's too late. Join the host for a high-energy Friday live episode that mixes Scripture, prophecy, and current affairs. The show opens with the recurring segment "Word on Word," comparing Daniel 12:3 and Hebrews 10:30–31 and setting a theme of love, judgment, and divine vengeance. The host shares a personal testimony of relief and praise, reads Scripture, and previews upcoming Sunday readings (2 Thessalonians 2) and a Saturday night prayer meeting on Telegram. The episode covers a broad set of political and social topics: recent and anticipated indictments (Comey, Brennan and related conspiracy-building), the distinction between indictments and arrests, and the host's view on how these legal developments tie into daily "Q" evidence. International coverage includes Canada's worsening economic report (food insecurity, unemployment, and government spending), Mark Carney's policy stance, and worrying developments in the UK such as a proposed mandatory digital ID for the right to work. Listeners hear concerns about global censorship and new laws (Canada's Bill C-9, California legislation), clips and quotes from public figures (including a notable Chris Murphy moment), and warnings about expanding surveillance and AI-powered pre-crime tools (Palantir, data aggregation across phones, TVs, and internet activity). The host ties these trends to broader warnings about the "Great Reset," civil unrest, and how chaos can be used to justify tighter control. Prophecy and eschatology are threaded throughout: analysis linking London and the City of London to Revelation's harlot of Babylon, discussion of the mark of the beast and timing of the rapture, and an original theory suggesting the seven heads/kings might map to competing AIs and global control systems. The host also raises alarm about an upcoming GNAR event on the National Mall (Oct 9), ecumenical and charismatic concerns, and the risk of a false Christ or staged event (Project Blue Beam-style warnings). The show mixes urgent political commentary with pastoral exhortation: calls to trust God amid a falling away, encouragement to read Scripture carefully, reminders about fundraising goals and listener support, and a warm send-off with a Friday song. Expect a blend of Bible reading, prophecy teaching, geopolitical analysis, civil-liberties warnings, and practical details about upcoming broadcasts and community prayer. Before we jump in, we wanted to acknowledge that so many in our community and across the world have been stunned and horrified by the murder of Charlie Kirk at UVU. It feels to us like a particularly difficult moment in this country, and we find ourselves grasping both for hope, and for the message to share in a moment like this. It's in that spirit that we wanted to share this week's episode — a conversation about belonging from the Faith Matters podcast Article 13.At their best, faith and faith communities bring us together across differences and remind us of something essential: that we are inherently and irrevocably connected. When we call each other “brother” and “sister,” we're naming something deeply true. And choosing to stay in community — even when it's hard — might be exactly what the world needs right now. This episode explores what it means to belong—it invites us to think about belonging not just as something to find, but something we can offer and build in our spiritual communities. We appreciated the insight we saw shared by Senator Chris Murphy this week: that when other forms of identity become weaker, something—like political identity—will step in to fill the void. This episode asks the question: what might society look like if we strive to intentionally create identity not just as members of religious communities, but as inherently dignified, divine beings who are all connected—in other words: as children of God? If there's any truth that might help us find some hope for the future, it seems like we'll find it in that direction. As always, we really appreciate you listening, and for helping us find our own belonging, especially in hard moments.*Find more peacemaking resources on our website: faithmatters.orgLearn more about Restore: faithmatters.org/restore

A number of Democrats are distinguishing themselves as they fight back against Donald Trump's power grab. From Govs. JB Pritzker and Gavin Newsom, to Sen. Chris Murphy and more - these Democrats' roles in battling Trumpism may also double as auditions to lead their party out of the wilderness; Chinese President Xi Jinping is hosting this year's Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. The focus of the talks will be President Trump's trade war, that now seems to be driving some American allies closer to our foes; and President Trump has threatened more federal deployments into America's cities under the guise of fighting crime, but governors and mayors have a message for him: "An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us."

What if upgrading your client base could transform not only your law practice but also your life? On this episode of Great Practice, Great Life, attorney Chris Murphy shares how he implemented a client upgrade system and it reshaped his practice and personal life. At first, Chris admits he was hesitant about some of the strategies suggested to him. Moving to flat fees? Saying no to certain clients? Narrowing his focus to a niche practice? It all felt risky. Yet once he committed, those choices became the very foundation of his growth. Chris opens up about what happened next: better clients, stronger cases, and a practice that finally aligned with the life he wanted to live. He explains how this client upgrade system wasn't just about revenue, once he identified the “why” of doing what he does, that deeper purpose rippled out in both his work, community and his personal life. Together, Steve and Chris walk through a four-step process any lawyer can use to refine their practice. They show how to set meaningful goals and align them with the life you want. Chris explains how adopting flat-fee pricing simplified his practice. It reduced stress and created healthier client relationships. He also shares how shifting his focus outward changed everything. He moved from just managing cases to truly serving clients, teams, and his community. That shift helped his firm grow and gave him clarity, confidence, and balance in life. If you've ever wondered what might happen if you let go of the “old way” of practicing law and embraced new strategies, this conversation is your roadmap. Chris's story proves that when you define your why and commit to bold changes, transformation follows — in your firm and far beyond it. In this episode, you will hear: Transforming law practice through strategic client upgrades and personal growth Four-step process for upgrading clients to enhance profitability and quality Embracing unconventional methods like flat fees and innovative pricing models Importance of establishing a niche and saying no to unsuitable work Aligning personal and professional goals for a fulfilling and balanced life Empowering teams by articulating a compelling “why” and value proposition Overcoming self-doubt, embracing change, and effective time management Subscribe & Review Never miss an episode. Summary In this episode of Armed American Radio, Mark Walters discusses various topics including the challenges of producing a radio show, the implications of recent discussions about extraterrestrial probes, and the flawed logic surrounding gun control in light of recent violent incidents. The conversation also touches on the role of the NRA in advocating for gun rights, the crime rates in Democrat-run cities, and the NFL's new stance on security measures. The episode concludes with reflections on the current state of the firearms industry and the importance of community support for gun rights. Takeaways The production of a radio show involves significant behind-the-scenes work. Recent discussions suggest the possibility of intelligent extraterrestrial probes. The flawed logic of gun control is highlighted by incidents involving knives. A good guy with a gun can effectively stop a violent attack. The NRA plays a crucial role in advocating for gun rights. Crime rates in Democrat-run cities continue to rise despite gun control measures. The NFL is now recognizing the need for armed security at events. Community support is essential for the health of the firearms industry. The narrative around gun violence often ignores the role of the individual perpetrator. There is a growing awareness of the need for self-defense among citizens. This fiery political commentary unpacks a heated discussion surrounding Democratic policies on immigration and criminal justice, particularly focusing on illegal immigrants with criminal records. The hosts analyze Senator Chris Murphy's statements about prioritizing undocumented immigrants and cite polling data showing significant Democratic support for sanctuary cities—even for those convicted of crimes. They argue that such policies are creating dangerous “no-go zones” in American cities, driven by a desire to reshape congressional districts and protect a growing criminal element. The conversation also highlights alarming ICE data from Houston, calls out local and federal officials for inaction, and warns of broader societal consequences if current trends continue.

Join Jim and Greg for Monday's 3 Martini Lunch as they dissect the liberal media's persistent fantasy of a blue Texas, the horrifying massacres of Christians and Druze in Syria, and the left's conspiracy-laced outrage over CBS canceling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.First, Jim calls out Politico for spotlighting Texas State Rep. James Talarico as the latest Democratic hope to flip Texas for the Democrats. Talarico, who recently appeared on Joe Rogan's podcast, is seen as someone who could connect with Christian conservatives. But Talarico isn't even running statewide, and Jim says there's no real evidence Democrats are on the brink of flipping the Lone Star State.Next, they react with horror to reports that more than 700 people have been brutally murdered in Syria in recent days, including Christians and Druze targeted by Sunni Islamist militants. Jim explains what's happening in Syria, the impact of the U.S. lifting sanctions not long ago, and whether the new leader in Syria (who was formerly with ISIS) is incapable or unwilling to stop the bloodshed. Then, they get a kick out of the left's meltdown over CBS cancelling The Late Show. From Sen. Chris Murphy to former NPR CEO Vivian Schiller, the lefties are convinced President Trump made axing Colbert a condition for approving Paramount's pending merger and we are entering a "bone-chilling" era of censorship. These activists seem uninterested in the fact Colbert's show was losing CBS $40 million per year. Finally, Jim and Greg pay tribute to Ed Feulner, the founder and longtime president of the Heritage Foundation, who died on Friday, after decades of work in the conservative movement. Please visit our great sponsors:Upgrade your skincare routine with Caldera Lab and see the difference. Senate Republicans jam through a final vote on the so-called "Big, Beautiful Bill." Senator Chris Murphy steps away from the Senate floor to join Tommy and Lovett to talk about Republican Senator Tom Thillis's unexpected opposition to the bill, the Medicaid cuts that sparked it, and what the bill's passage would mean for Americans' wallets (you guessed it: more money for the rich, less for the poor). Then, Tommy and Lovett discuss Trump's trip to "Alligator Alcatraz," a new migrant detention facility in the middle of the Everglades, the Supreme Court's 6-3 decision ending the practice of nationwide injunctions, and the White House doubling down on their claim that airstrikes "totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear program, despite mounting evidence to the contrary. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here.
