Revival Mom | Grow Deeper with God, Encourage children in the Lord, Christian Home
What if I told you my husband went from saying "I will NEVER believe in God" to being baptized—and it took 10 years of praying, believing, and learning to let God lead? This is the story I never thought I'd tell. The one where I hid my Bible in drawers, where saying "blessed" caused tension, and where I genuinely feared my husband would leave me when I went all-in for Jesus. But mama, God had other plans. In this first episode of the newly rebranded Letting God Lead podcast, I'm sharing our miracle story—from military deployment trauma to miscarriage to baptism—and the three things that changed everything in our home. You're going to hear how 1 Peter 3:1 played out in real life: winning him over not with words, but with conduct. If you're exhausted trying to be the spiritual leader while your husband is prebelieving, lukewarm, or just not on the same page—this episode is your hope. We're talking faith disciplines, spiritual warfare, and how to stand in the gap for your husband and children without everything falling apart. You and your household WILL be saved. You're going to start letting God lead and we're going to believe for it - together. Next Steps: Grab your Powerful Prayers and Declarations Guide here! Email alyssa@alyssarahn.com for coaching

Have you ever wished that you could pray like a saint? Most people probably think that a saint prays in a formal and pious kind of way… but nothing could be further from the truth! If you long to have the type of intimate connection with the Divine that saints experience, this is the episode for you! In this episode, I share the simple and powerful prayer method of St. Catherine Laboure, who experienced two apparitions of Mother Mary and brought the Miraculous Medal into being! I hope you find St. Catherine's approach to prayer as easy to follow and inspiring as I do! Let me know if you are going to try this method in your prayer practice! PS – One thing many saints have in common is a close connection to the Angels! You can too when you join the Archangel Attunement & Mentoring Program! Key Learnings: 1) One thing I love about the saints is their intimate relationship with the Divine. This intimacy is often reflected in their prayers. Rather than being formal and pious, their prayers are often conversational and filled with devotion, much like how you might talk with a dear friend or loved one. 2) On a recent visit to the Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Philadelphia, I noticed something I hadn't seen before. On the wall was the Prayer of St. Catherine Laboure. The prayer itself is simple, but it says so much. And she gives us much more than a prayer, St. Catherine teaches us how to talk AND listen to God. 3) Here is the prayer written on the plaque of the Basilica: Whenever I go to the chapel, I put myself in the presence of our good Lord, and I say to Him, "Lord, I am here. Tell me what you would have me to do." If He gives me some task, I am content, and I thank Him. If He gives me nothing, I still thank Him, since I do not deserve to receive anything more than that. And then, I tell God everything that is in my heart. I tell Him about my pains and joys, and then I listen. If you listen, God will also speak to you, for with the good Lord, you have to both speak and listen. God always speaks to you when you approach Him plainly and simply." "God always speaks to you when you approach Him plainly and simply." James exhorts us to be patient and not cave in when life throws us a curve ball. He provides some vivid examples of what it means to be steadfast in the light of Christ's coming, no matter what we face. We may struggle with the shock and despair that suffering brings and wonder what on earth God is doing. As with Job, the reason behind our suffering may be hidden from us, but we need not doubt the Lord's purpose nor His compassion and mercy even in the darkest of times. This is not an encouragement to passive resignation. It is an invitation to exercise active faith – a faith that is not closed off to the powerful action of believing prayer whereby even the sick may be healed.

It's never fun to apologize for something we did wrong. And for many of us, the idea of apologizing to God (or to use biblical language, “confessing our sins”) feels like exactly the kind of self-shaming we need to do less of, not more. But in today's sermon we'll see that our aversion to confession is rooted in a massive misunderstanding, and we'll learn why “I'm Sorry” is actually one of the most lifegiving prayers we can pray. What should we pray about? Our prayers often revolve around our own concerns and what we want God to do about them. And that's good, because God does want us to pray about our concerns. But in today's sermon we'll explore another side of prayer that we sometimes neglect. We'll discover the difference it makes when we don't just tell God what's on our heart for God to do, but when we also ask God what's on God's heart for us to do. Sometimes when we're struggling in life, it can feel like God's not listening. We keep telling God about our challenges and asking for help, but it sometimes seems like God's gone silent. That can be really painful and frustrating. So in today's sermon we'll explore a powerful biblical story about that very experience, and we'll discover a surprisingly simple insight that has the potential to transform our relationship with God and change our lives. Guest Speaker Nathan Bumgarner focused his message on the theme of powerful prayer, using Jabez's story from 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 as a foundation. He emphasized four key aspects of Jabez's prayer: a request for blessing, an enlargement of influence, an assurance of God's presence, and a plea for protection. Nathan highlighted the importance of seeking God's blessings not merely for personal benefit but to serve as conduits for His work, thereby expanding God's influence for His glory. He underscored the necessity of relying on God's presence, especially as influence grows, to guide and empower efforts to impact communities and share the gospel effectively.

Send me a text – I always love hearing from you! ✨Welcome to Season #4 of Life Out Loud! After a brief hiatus (#life, am I right!?), I'm back and thrilled to reconnect with you – my wonderful listeners. This season marks a significant shift in our journey together as we explore the prayers and scriptures that have shaped not just history, but continue to transform lives today.Scripture often gets dismissed as outdated or confusing, but nothing could be further from truth. The Bible holds living power that cuts straight to the heart of our modern challenges. As Hebrews 4:12 tells us, "For the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword." While previous seasons used biblical references as supporting content, I'm now making Scripture the central focus because knowing it is truly life-changing.In this episode, we explore Jesus's profound question from John 5: "Do you want to get well?" This seemingly simple query reveals a deeper truth—not everyone truly wants healing because wellness demands work, changed patterns, and renewed hope. When Jesus looks at us and asks if we want to get well, everything hinges on our answer. Are you ready to soak up the healing waters of scripture? Whether you're new to faith or have been walking with Jesus for years, these ancient words hold transformative power for your life today.Join me as we dive into prayers that have shaped the world. Sometimes in life, we find ourselves standing at a crossroads where we have to choose between what feels good and what's right. And our decisions in those pivotal moments often shape our lives, and the lives of those around us, in profound and lasting ways. So in today's sermon, we'll explore the story of the very first Christians when they found themselves at a major crossroads. And as we study their bold example, we'll consider what's possible for us, and for our church, if we follow in their footsteps. Do you ever pray about something—big or small—and then wonder if God really heard you? Maybe you’ve asked Him to heal, provide, or even just help you find your keys, and later you’ve questioned if the answer was coincidence or divine response. Psalm 123 invites us to lift our eyes to God and wait expectantly for His mercy and direction. The psalmist models what it means to watch for the Lord’s hand in everyday life, trusting that He is attentive to both our deepest needs and the smallest details. Meg Bucher reminds us that recognizing God’s answers often requires training our hearts to notice His presence—in Scripture, in creation, through friends, and even in what the world might call coincidences. God is not silent. He is merciful, attentive, and always at work on behalf of His people. Main Takeaways God calls us to pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17), bringing both large and small requests before Him. Waiting on the Lord means watching attentively for His mercy and direction (Psalm 123:1-2). God’s answers may come in unexpected ways—through people, circumstances, Scripture, or His Spirit’s gentle promptings. Choosing to focus on His presence protects us from being overwhelmed by the contempt, arrogance, and chaos around us. Bible Verse References Psalm 123:1 – “I lift my eyes to you, O God, enthroned in heaven.” Psalm 123:2 – Watching for the Lord’s mercy as servants look to their master. Psalm 123:3-4 – A prayer for God’s mercy amidst contempt and arrogance. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – “Pray continually.” Calls to Action (CTAs) Subscribe to Your Daily Prayer for daily encouragement and Scriptural grounding.
