Faith to move mountains | Two Minute Daily Devotional

It does not take enormous faith, but the child-like, seed-like faith of a simple believer to move mountains. I know, because I have commanded ‘mountains' and seen them move many times! I once listened to criticism and as a result I became so discouraged, I stopped organising big crusades and praying for the sick. Because of that, for some years I saw no-one healed. Even today, after a meeting where I see the sick healed, I will often go home and grieve more over ones I didn't see healed (or who didn't repent), than rejoice over the miracles I did see. It only drives me once more to fast and pray for more Holy Spirit power, to be more like Jesus in my ministry. Jesus preached the Gospel – so I do; Jesus healed the sick – so I do.  Smith Wigglesworth has gone down in history as a man of faith. Why? Because of the healing miracles. We need more like him in the church today! In the Bible Jesus said simply, ‘Preach the Gospel, heal the sick.' In faith I believe it – I do it – I see it. Surprisingly in the crusades in Russia I see many people healed who have absolutely no faith but who come in desperate need. God sees their desperation!   Q. Are you opposed to traditional medicine? A. No, I'm not, there are wonderful Christian doctors. If I have a toothache, I go to the dentist; and yes I wear spectacles for my eyes, but I have no eye disease and gradually God has restored my sight – I don't have bi-focal lenses and the lenses are so weak, the optician says that I can do without altogether. If I have a health problem, yes I visit the doctor. If he diagnoses a problem then I know what to pray for specifically.

When you come to Christ, you leave behind worldly things to live in a ‘Christ dimension' - a dimension so distinct and different from the world we grew up in. That's why Jesus said you've got to be ‘born again' - come on! You've got to die to the old, and, like a new-born, you've got to start and learn the basics. That's why Paul says in v2, “I gave you milk and not meat, because you were not able, and you're still are not able. You still behave like worldly people do…” Even today we too easily follow men, rather than Christ! I don't follow men, even though I grew up in the days of some very great Pentecostal leaders in Britain - among them Evangelist George Jeffreys, Smith Wigglesworth. I don't look to those men, even though when I was born Jeffreys wanted to adopt me as his son. I don't want to follow any man. I want to follow Jesus. Come on! I want to do what Jesus said, I want to do what He told his disciples to do - preach the Gospel, heal the sick. My power doesn't come because somebody laid hands on me; my power comes because God touched me! The evidence is there, in my life. So v7, it's neither Paul who planted, nor Apollos who watered, it's God Himself who gives the increase! The Power comes from Him! Paul says, v8, “He that plants and he that waters are one, and every man shall receive his own reward according to his work, what he has done.” Now this is a very important point. There is a reward in the Kingdom, but the reward depends on what you do for Christ.  Paul explains, v9ff, “We are labourers together with God… you are God's building.” It's God who makes us who we are, it's God who builds us. “According to the Grace of God given to me, I am the masterbuilder, I laid the foundation, and another builds on it.” Very simple. The evangelist lays the foundation which is Christ, but then you need another to build on that foundation. But if the foundation isn't right - and this is what Jesus taught - if you build your house on sand, it will collapse. You've got to build on rock!  Watch the video version: https://youtu.be/LaE-35rM5aE  For more information on the Ministry of David Hathaway https://www.eurovision.org.uk

Paul had a problem with the church in Corinth. They were still ‘babes in Christ' - 1 Cor 3.1. Anyone who has been a parent knows the struggle it is to bring children to maturity - to potty-train them, to train them to eat nicely, to share, and everything else…  When you come to Christ, you leave behind worldly things to live in a ‘Christ dimension' - a dimension so distinct and different from the world we grew up in. That's why Jesus said you've got to be ‘born again' - come on! You've got to die to the old, and, like a new-born, you've got to start and learn the basics. That's why Paul says in v2, “I gave you milk and not meat, because you were not able, and you're still are not able. You still behave like worldly people do…” Let's face it - there are many in the church who live and speak like the world, like they did before they became a Christian… No difference. The biggest problem in Corinth was the strife, envy and division. That's not Christ. Christ is one. In Him is no division. But some of the people in Corinth were saying, v4, “I follow Paul”, and others were saying, “I follow Apollos.” That's not of God! Paul founded the church. His conversion from the life of a fanatical but highly educated Pharisee, opposed to Christ and persecuting Christians, was dramatic - the Lord Himself appeared to him on the road to Damascus. Apollos was different. An ‘eloquent man, mighty in the Scriptures', he believed in Jesus, and spoke and taught diligently about the things of the Lord, but only knew ‘the baptism of John' - water baptism for the forgiveness of sin. It seems he didn't know the Baptism of the Holy Spirit; it was two of Paul's co-workers, Priscillla and Aquila, who instructed him ‘in the Way of God more perfectly' - Acts 18.24-28 - before recommending him to the church in Achaia, where Corinth was. The different experiences of these men are not what matter. Paul says in v5, “Who is Paul? Who is Apollos? Simply ministers by whom you believed!” -  ‘men who brought you to Christ'! V6, “I planted, Apollos watered - but it's GOD who gives the increase.” It's not Paul, it's not Apollos! It's not men. It's God. Even today we too easily follow men, rather than Christ! I don't follow men, even though I grew up in the days of some very great Pentecostal leaders in Britain - among them Evangelist George Jeffreys, Smith Wigglesworth. Thirsty? There's Only One Source That Truly Satisfies.Have you ever been truly thirsty? Not just physically thirsty — but spiritually dry, empty, exhausted, or longing for something more?In this deeply relatable and powerful message, Ps. Candice Chicken explores Jesus' invitation in John 7:37-39:"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink."Through humorous personal stories, biblical insight, and practical encouragement, this sermon reminds us that every human soul carries a thirst that can only be satisfied through Jesus and the ongoing infilling of the Holy Spirit.Ps. Candice begins by sharing a memorable hiking story in the Drakensberg where an entire church hiking group ran out of water. The desperation, exhaustion, and relief of finally receiving water becomes a picture of the spiritual thirst so many people carry every day.We often try to satisfy that thirst with:SuccessMoneyAchievementRelationshipsWorkStatusPossessionsBut none of those things can truly satisfy the soul.Only Jesus can.Diving into John 7, Ps. Candice unpacks the powerful context behind Jesus' words during the Feast of Tabernacles — a celebration where Israel remembered God's provision of water in the wilderness. At the height of the ceremony, while priests poured water over the altar in worship, Jesus stood up and declared:"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink."Jesus was revealing that He Himself is the source of living water — and that the Holy Spirit would come to continually fill believers from within. This message follows four powerful spiritual progressions:1. Invitation — ComeJesus does not force Himself on anyone. He extends an invitation. Every person is invited to come to Him, regardless of background, status, or history. The question is: will we respond?2. Belief — Turn on the TapThe moment we believe in Jesus, the source of life within us changes. Self-sufficiency is replaced by the presence of God. Ps. Candice compares salvation to turning on a tap — living water begins flowing immediately, even if growth takes time.3. Filling — Drink ContinuallyOne of the strongest themes in this message is the need for continual filling. Just like our physical bodies need water daily, our spirits need daily time in God's presence.Ps. Candice shares practical, everyday examples:Stressful school morningsDelayed shopsTraffic frustrationsWork pressureParenting challengesEmotional exhaustionAnd in every moment, the answer is the same:Go back to Jesus. Be filled again. Not once a month. Not once a week.Daily. Hourly. Continually.Because we cannot do life spiritually dehydrated.4. Overflow — Rivers of Living WaterWhen we continually allow the Holy Spirit to fill us, our lives begin to overflow into the lives of others.Instead of merely surviving, we become:Hope bringersPeacemakersEncouragersWitnessesAtmosphere changersCarriers of God's presencePs. Candice reminds us that Scripture says rivers of living water should flow from believers — not tiny trickles. The message also highlights the life of Smith Wigglesworth, an ordinary man who experienced extraordinary transformation through the infilling of the Holy Spirit and went on to impact thousands for Jesus. This sermon is both an invitation and a challenge:Come to JesusBelieve in HimContinually be filledOverflow into the world around youIf you've been spiritually dry, weary, distracted, discouraged, or searching for peace, this message will encourage you to return to the source of living water.Key Scripture:John 7:37-39In This Episode:The spiritual meaning of thirstWhy success can't satisfy the soulThe Feast of Tabernacles explainedThe role of the Holy Spirit in everyday lifeHow to stay spiritually filled dailyLiving a life that overflows onto othersPractical ways to reconnect with God throughout the dayIf this message encouraged you, share it with someone who may need refreshing today.⛪ Thrive Church Helping people move towards Jesus.

Spiritual warfare is not merely against the devil, it is also when you fight your own unbelief. My God answers prayer. If you are totally convinced, God CANNOT fail. But it takes a lot of faith to believe God to work miracles.  Fight against the devil by taking authority over him in Jesus' Name. Command him to get out and the problem to go! Exercise the gift of faith, NOW, in a new way – this is not just receiving an answer to prayer – it means taking authority. Nobody has ever used the full amount of power that God has! There is no limit to what God can do! Elijah, Moses, David, only used a small part of God's available power. No man has ever used all of God's power, not John Wesley nor Smith Wigglesworth, no-one. God wants to show His power on earth, but He can only do it through you! Why not use more of His power than any man before you? When God wanted to bring His people out of Egypt, Pharaoh said, ‘No!' God used Moses until Pharaoh said, ‘Yes!' God uses men. But only men and women willing to yield to His authority.

Speak the Name, See the Change! "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" Acts 4:12 The name of Jesus is the passport to limitless possibility.” – Smith Wigglesworth. As we reflect on the power of Jesus' name, consider the story of Peter and the lame man at the Beautiful Gate (Acts 3:1-10). With just one utterance — “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!” — Peter transformed a life. That same name that brought healing then is just as potent now, unlocking miracles in our own lives. Remember Philippians 2:9-11, where we are reminded that Jesus' name is above every name, and through it, every knee shall bow. In Acts 4:12, we see that salvation and wholeness are found in no one else but Jesus. This truth is powerful; as we declare His name, we invite divine possibility into our everyday experiences — be it at work, school, or home. Prayers signed with Jesus' name carry heaven's address, and God knows exactly where to deliver the answer. Philippians 2:9-11 says, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." You see, in Jesus' name is the key, and with it, God opens the door that swings wide to the impossible. Each encounter with the name of Jesus can shift perspectives. As Corrie ten Boom said, “There is no panic in heaven; God has no problems, only plans.” Embrace this reality as you speak His name; it transforms anxiety into assurance because we are anchored in His plans, which are good and full of hope. As you venture into your day, remember the promise: “Speak the Name, see the change!” Let the authority in Jesus' name fill your heart, mind, and mouth with courage and anticipation. With every moment of grace, you have the opportunity to invite His power into your life. Amen. John 14:13-14 says, "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it." Amen. Prayer for the Day!Lord Jesus, Your name is exalted above every name. I declare it over my body, my home, and every hidden fear. Let chains break and doors open as I speak Your matchless name. Jesus, let the power of Your Name resound in my life — shatter my fears, steady my heart, and draw me close to Your truth. Speak into my thoughts, purify my desires, and shape my words and actions so they reflect Your love. May Your mercy cover my failures, Your wisdom guide my choices, and Your strength uphold me in every trial. By Your cross and resurrection, anchor my hope; by Your Spirit, empower my steps; and by Your Name, Jesus, be glorified in me, today and always. Amen.https://maglife.org

I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 9th of April, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in that very well-known scripture found in Philippians 3:10: “…that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,…” Then the other one, Colossians 1:27: “…which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” We are talking this morning about our lifestyle, a way of life. Being a Christian is not like belonging to a certain club or organisation. No, it's a relationship with Jesus Christ, the practice of the presence of God, twenty-four/seven, night and day. The more time we spend with Jesus, the more time we get to know Him.William Duma was a Zulu pastor from the Umkomaas Valley in KwaZulu-Natal. A small little man, but what an incredible servant of the Lord! He prayed for the sick, he preached the Gospel without any kind of fear, and people used to flock to his services. But he had an intimate relationship with Jesus. Once there was an organisation that invited him to go to Israel as a gift for all his hard work, not only him, but a few other ministers as well. All of them accepted immediately, but he said, “Can I let you know tomorrow morning? I just want to ask my Lord if I can go.” Of course, he did go. That is the relationship that you and I need with Jesus. That Yorkshire plumber, Smith Wigglesworth, the evangelist, he said, “I never pray for half an hour, but I never let half an hour go by without praying” - a man who had a relationship with God. You see, it is a lifestyle. When we fall down, we say sorry, we repent, and we get up and we keep going again. We need to keep on keeping on. This is a lifetime to achieve. Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” In closing, we need to stop trying to please God and start to be a child of God. We need to seek the Lord and then the peace and the contentment follow.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day as you walk with Him today.Goodbye.

Instead of promoting rigid thought control, Bishop emphasizes freedom in the mind, wisdom in speech, and intentionality in action. Drawing from personal experience, scripture, and spiritual philosophy, he teaches that transformation doesn't come from suppressing thoughts, but from curating what we give life to. The message crescendos with vulnerability about caring for his mother, showing that character is ultimately revealed not by what we say—but by what we consistently do. “Judge me on my actions, not on my words… because I was there. I showed up.” — Bishop Jim Swilley The core takeaway is a redefinition of the famous progression: thoughts → words → actions → habits → character → destiny. Bishop affirms its truth, but adds an important layer—your thoughts should be free and limitless, not condemned or suppressed. Instead, the real discipline begins in what you choose to say and do. This aligns with Proverbs 29:11, “A fool speaks his whole mind,” reminding us that wisdom is found in restraint and discernment. He also reinforces that words carry power, echoing teachings often associated with Smith Wigglesworth—that unspoken negative thoughts can “die unborn,” but once spoken, they take on life. This connects with Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” A major spiritual pivot in the message is this: thoughts are not the enemy—condemnation is. Trying to “not think” something only strengthens it. Instead, transformation happens by introducing new thoughts, aligning with the principle that “what you resist persists.” This mirrors the renewing of the mind described in Romans 12:2. Bishop also explores the humanity of Jesus, emphasizing that spirituality is not about rigid doctrine but living, evolving truth. He references how Jesus' words are “spirit and life” (John 6:63), reminding listeners that anything truly from God brings freedom—not restriction. The most powerful moment comes through his personal story of caring for his mother. Despite moments of frustration in words, his consistent actions of love, sacrifice, and presence defined his character. This beautifully illustrates James 2:17, “Faith without works is dead.” What we do repeatedly—not what we say occasionally—reveals who we truly are. Main takeaways: Your thoughts are not your enemy—give yourself permission to think freely without condemnation. Be intentional with your words, because once spoken, they create reality and are hard to take back. Your actions—not your words—ultimately define your character and shape your destiny.

It's not a lack of Bible knowledge—it's a "love-leak." Learn the radical secret of "preemptive forgiveness" and why your faith can never outrun your ability to love your enemies. In this episode of Enter the Glory Zone, Dr. Edith Davis stands before the nation's capital to deliver a prophetic mandate for the modern church. We are entering a "beautification process" to become a bride without spot or wrinkle, but this transformation requires more than just showing up—it requires a total recalibration of our minds and hearts. Dr. Davis shares a vulnerable, personal story of how a simple "chair" and a moment of offense led to a physical setback in her healing journey. She breaks down the "currency of heaven" and explains why even the strongest faith is paralyzed when we step out of love. Main teaching points include: -- The definition of a "Sound Mind" as one that is disciplined, balanced, and under self-control. -- The distinction between "having" faith and "being in" faith through active obedience and integrity. -- Why human love is insufficient for the Christian walk and how we must tap into supernatural Agape love. -- The three commanded areas of love: one another, our neighbors, and our enemies. -- The story of Smith Wigglesworth and the "Holy Spirit Boogie-Woogie" as a key to strength. -- How "preemptive forgiveness" protects your miracles from being stolen by the enemy. Explore the concept of 'praying without ceasing' as explained through 1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray without ceasing.” This insightful video delves into the idea of regular, heartfelt prayer and how it connects us to a divine 'live stream' from heaven. Discover the joy and power of prayer as more than a duty, but a delightful interaction with God's presence, supported by biblical references and historical anecdotes. God Himself is the initiator of prayer. Prayer begins in God and we are all just joining in the Live Stream of prayer that Heaven is already making available. All we have to do is to join it and be carried along with the Stream of Prayer that is flowing from Him. ‘Without ceasing' means REGULARLY, without any unnecessary gaps, as often as required. The word 'adialeiptos' (translated ‘without ceasing') was used to describe a tickling cough. A tickling cough is not one where you cough non-stop. It means that you cough without long gaps between coughs! *I. Let's move from RARE PRAYER to REGULAR PRAYER. Regular prayer doesn't mean that we are praying 24/7, but that we are in a constant flow of prayer. We are constantly accessing Heaven's Live Stream of prayer, which catches us up into God's Presence to walk with Him. “Praying at ALL TIMES (in every opportunity) with all kinds of prayer IN the SPIRIT (Ephesians 6:18). This is the key to joining Heaven's Live Stream of Prayer. We struggle to join it with our head! Our head is too limited. That's why we have the Holy Spirit living within our spirits, who makes us able to join that Live Stream. He helps us to tune into the bandwidth of Heaven and join in with what's flowing from God's Throne. We need to PRAY in the SPIRIT. Praying in tongues is one way we can pray in the Spirit, and join Heaven's Live Stream, but it is not the only way. Praying in the Spirit is praying from the Spirit within us, depending on the Spirit to lead and empower us in prayer. It is a way in which we pray, and a place from which we pray, more than it is a kind of prayer. *II. Let's move from HEAD to HEART. We will never be able to pray without ceasing, if we pray only from our HEAD. We have to go from prayer that only comes out of our HEADS to praying from our HEARTS, prayer in which we bring up from the core of our being, expressing God's life & heart of God within us. It's praying from our HEART. Martin Luther: “Prayer is climbing up into the heart of God.” God invites us to pray from His heart - praying from His lap, from His Father heart. We hear His heartbeat, as we put our head to His heart, like the beloved disciple (John) at the Last Supper, who laid his head on Jesus' chest (John 13:23). We can hear His heartbeat and pray His heart. The Holy Spirit will give us the right word to return to the Father in prayer. Prayer is joining God's Live Stream, so what pours out of Heaven through His Word & Spirit enters into us, and through prayer we offer it back to Him in Heaven. Then He responds in the Earth with answers: “So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 54:11). Man was never designed to live only from his HEAD. Man was designed to live from his HEART, from the core of his being. And so, let us PRAY from there. *III. Let's move from DUTY to DELIGHT. God wants us to take us from the DUTY of prayer to the DELIGHT of prayer. For many people, prayer is a CHORE, or worse a BORE, when it is so much MORE! Prayer is a DELIGHT. In Matthew 21:13, Jesus quoted from Isaiah 56:7: “I will make them JOYFUL in My House of PRAYER.” There is JOY in the House of PRAYER. Have we found joy in prayer? If not, let's get into Prayer's Live Stream. God's Live Stream will carry you on and carry you up! Psalm 34:5: “They looked to Him (in prayer) and their faces were light (radiant with joy).” When we look to God in prayer, rather than looking to ourselves and our own resources, we go beyond the DUTY and the DISCIPLINE of prayer, and get caught up in the DELIGHT (joy) of prayer. 1Thess 5:17 is the meat in the sandwich: “pray without ceasing.” 1Thess 5:16 & 18 are the bread. These 3 verses are a triptych of simple exhortations: “(1) REJOICE always, (2) PRAY without ceasing, (3) in everything GIVE THANKS” (1Thess 5:16-18). God doesn't want us in the DRUDGERY of prayer! He wants us to discover the DELIGHT of prayer. So, let us join Heaven's Live Stream of Prayer that God has made available to us.

John and Jed explore one of the most sensitive and emotionally charged topics in Pentecostal and Charismatic circles—the world of fake miracles, resurrection claims, and manufactured hype. Starting with Bethel Church's "Wake Up Olive" tragedy, they trace the long lineage of miracle stories from Smith Wigglesworth through William Branham to today's New Apostolic Reformation leaders. Their discussion examines how sensationalized testimonies shape belief, manipulate emotions, and reinforce authoritarian control within high-demand religious groups.Through deeply personal stories, including experiences from within Branhamism and IHOP, they unpack how false faith-healing narratives prey on trauma, obscure genuine spirituality, and keep followers trapped in fear of doubt. This conversation dives into the emotional cost of such beliefs—the shame, confusion, and psychological damage caused when "miracles" fail—and the deeper truth about where real faith should be placed.______________________Weaponized Religion: From Christian Identity to the NAR:Paperback: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1735160962 Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCGGZX3K ______________________- Support the channel: https://www.patreon.com/branham - Visit the website: https://william-branham.org

I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 29th of October, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Exodus 25:40, and this is what the Lord says to Moses: ”And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain.” The building of the tabernacle - keep it to the pattern. Then we go straight to the Gospel of John 14:15. Jesus says:“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”Don't tell people you love them, then do the opposite. “You shall know them by their fruit,” Jesus says. An apple tree produces apples, and an orange tree produces oranges. We really need to keep to the pattern. You know what a blueprint is, young man? A blueprint is something that you have been given by a builder, and then he says, ”Build it according to the blueprint. Do not change anything because it is proven, this building will stand if you build it according to the blueprint.” Smith Wigglesworth said, ”Jesus said it, I believe it and that settles it.” No arguments! What does the word say, that is your pattern for this life. That is your blueprint. You know the wisest man that ever lived, according to the word of God, was Solomon, and if you look at Ecclesiastes 1:9, He said, ' ... And there is nothing new under the sun.” It has all happened before, it will all happen again, but we've got some whizz-kids thinking they are inventing something new. Nothing new under the sun. I sound like an old man, don't I? Well, I'm getting old, and I want to tell that young lady, I wish that I knew when I was your age what I know now, and I wouldn't have made so many mistakes and I wouldn't have hurt so many people. The Lord told a farmer named Noah to build an ark. He said build it according to the blueprint, and he did, and the ark never sank, did it? There is nothing new. Running your home - run it according to the principles of God. Discipline in your house, love your wife, submit to your husband, respect your parents, discipline your children. These are according to the blueprint. What about business? “Aah, my people don't want to work for me.” Maybe because you don't pay them correctly. What about having a quiet time every morning? You say, ”Uncle Angus, you're always telling us that.” Of course, I am, because that's where you'll get your instructions for the blueprint that you are going to implement on that day. Practise what you have been taught.Jesus bless you and goodbye.

God has a plan and a time – for me, for you, and for the whole world we live in. God does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:7. He is working to a prophetic timeline and so must we. My whole life has been closely linked to prophecy, not because I claim to be a ‘prophet', but because when God gives me a vision, it is a prophetic path for my life. What He reveals to me in prophecy, I have to act on it – in order to fulfil it. As a baby, I dedicated to the Lord by George Jeffreys. I knew the miracles in his and in Smith Wigglesworth's lives. But all my life, I have believed there is more Power available from God than anything yet seen on earth. I grew up surrounded by what those who had received the Holy Spirit's Power had achieved – the miracles – the thousands saved. Yet as I read the prophecies of Joel Chapter 2, I sensed there was an even greater Power available – which Joel calls the Latter Rain. But GREATER than the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the beginning of the 20th Century, which everyone assumed WAS the Latter Rain.

The Apostle James wrote, 'Show me your faith by your works.' What do you believe? Even the devil believes in God. We must demonstrate our faith in God by the way we live. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 5th of February, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to 1 Corinthians 11:23-26:”For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.”Holy Communion - It is the most sacred of all Christian events. Jesus said to His disciples, ”Do it often.” It was the last supper that He had on earth before He went to the cross the very next day. I want to suggest to you that you do it at home with your family, that you do it at work with your people, that you do it when you're on the road. A very dear spiritual son of mine sent me a gift. It is a portable communion set, that's right, I can take it with me when I travel, wherever. I can break bread when I'm in the aeroplane, when I'm in a car, when I'm sitting in a room on my own in a hotel. Do it as often as you can. I also want to suggest to moms and dads that it's a good habit to get into. Aunty Jill and I break bread often and normally at breakfast time because that's the time when we sit together without any interruption from anywhere else. You know, you can't partake of Holy Communion if you are not talking to each other. No, you've got to make up. You've got to settle your differences. You see, Holy Communion is a very, very special thing.Smith Wigglesworth, that Yorkshire plumber, has been documented that he prayed for something like twelve or thirteen people that had died and were raised from the dead, and that man used to break bread continually, especially before he would go and do a special work for the Lord. We need to break bread and we need to do it with our families, maybe in the evening, and dad you can do it, you're the head of your house. If dad's not there, mom you can do it. Teenagers, you can do it. It's not specifically dedicated to one person at all. He doesn't speak about only the priests. No, He says that we must do it, you and I, so let's start doing it regularly. It's a good habit to get into.Jesus bless you and goodbye.

I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 18th of May, 2024, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Gospel of Matthew 5:16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”It is not so much what we say but rather who we are that makes an impact on the world. Isn't that true? It is like that beautiful lighthouse standing on top of that cliff, with all the dangerous rocks behind it. Charles Haddon Spurgeon, the great preacher, said, “The lighthouse makes no noise, it makes no song and it is silent, but on a stormy night it shines through the noise of the waves that are crashing on the seashore, it helps that desperate sea captain, when he is trying to navigate his ship, with waves that are 3 metres high and he can't see where he is going, and then all of a sudden he sees a little light in the distance, just a spark, that's all he sees, and it speaks louder than a thousand choirs singing because now he knows where the danger is.”Many, many years ago, I had the privilege of going to speak at a men's conference in the northern part of our beloved South Africa. I got letter in the post before I left, to say that “There is an old gentleman who would like to meet with you.” Well, I want to be honest with you, at the time I felt I didn't have time to go and see him, but I felt the Holy Spirit say, “You must go and visit this old man on the way up to the conference”, which I duly did. As I walked into his house, I sensed the presence of God there. I saw a huge photograph on the wall of an old lady and an old man. I looked at that old man and I couldn't believe it. It was a photo of the Yorkshire Plumber, Smith Wigglesworth, a man who had been used by God, mightily. In fact, something like 13 people had been raised from the dead through his ministry. I said to the old gentleman, Mr Harold Berry, “Sir, is this a friend of yours?” He said, ‘It is one of my relatives. It is my wife's grandfather.” I was amazed. I got on my knees, on the carpet, and I asked him to please anoint me. I said, “I want your mantle, Sir.” This old gentleman had started many churches up in the Congo. He was ninety years old. He walked into his room, got a bottle of healing oil and anointed my head with oil. Then he started praying undiluted scripture over me. It was impressive, very impressive, but the part that I remember, only one part, he said, “It won't be so much what he says but who he is, that will make the impact,” And I have never forgotten that. It is not what you say, it is not how loud you can sing, it is how well you can shine for the Lord.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.
