Sahl bin Sad (May Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once a man came to the Prophet (Peace and Salutations be upon him) and asked: Oh Messenger of Allah, direct me towards an action that if I were to carry it out Allah will love me and the people will love me"... (Ibn Majah) This lecture discusses a broadened understanding of Zuhd (Renunciation of the world) and how different scholars defined this concept. The Golden Advice the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave to his cousin - Shaykh Muhammad Ridaah Harris by Tayibah Institute

In this Friday sermon, given at a historic mosque in Cape Town, Shaykh Faraz Rabbani encourages us to be more appreciative of the greatest blessings we possess: our vast of knowledge of the Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him). Knowledge of the Prophet(peace be upon him) enriches our day-to-day lives, and gives our family, social and personal lives so much more meaning. Citing the example of Cape Town, whose Muslims were persecuting in horrific ways for decades, Shaykh Faraz points out how they not only remained Muslims, but remained steadfast in their knowledge of Islam and their love for the Prophet (peace be upon him). Their great appreciation of this blessing was their motivation to hold onto it. We should regularly thank Allah for this blessing, as He called us to do frequently. The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us how to do the smallest actions in the most beautiful way. He taught us to put on our shoes, to drink water, and to clean ourselves in the most beautiful way. We should look at our money with gratitude, as well as our free time. Seerah an Nabawiyy Part 7 [Life of the Prophet - Peace & Blessings be Upon Him] The Seventh installment of Shaykh Ibrahim's thematic look at the Seerah  The Teacher Shaykh Ibrahim was born and raised in Liverpool, England. He was blessed with the opportunity to study several classical disciplines at the hands of some of the holders of the tradition such as Murabit al-Haj, al-Habib Umar b. Hafiz and Shaikh Hassan al-Hindi. Initially studying for three years in Syria and Mauritania, Ustaz Ibrahim was then blessed with the opportunity to spend over six years in the illuminated city of Tarim, Hadramaut where he studied under the qualified hands of teachers such as al-Habib Kazim al-Saqqaf, al-Habib ‘Ali al-Jifri and al-Shaikh ‘Umar Husain al-Khatib. He was one of the founders of several Islamic initiatives including the Ibn Abbas Institute, Starlatch Press, Badr Language Institute and the Greensville Trust.
