Why do sins that once made the Salaf tremble now sit so calmly on our shoulders? You disobey Allah and feel nothing. No uneasiness, no fear that His punishment could strike in an instant, no dread of growing distant from Him. Why do your eyes stay dry, refusing to shed even a single tear alone in the dark, out of fear of His anger? Those same sins that would steal their sleep pass through us like shadows. We walk on, hearts heavy yet hollow. In this lesson from the explanation of the book Ad-Daa' Wa Ad-Dawaa' by Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan shares piercing words and Aathaar from the Salaf on the topic of sin. They saw how entire communities fall when people keep sinning without shame. Corrupt leaders rise. Families break apart. Blessings slip through our fingers. All because we sin and don't care. When was the last time your heart flinched at a sin? Or has it turned numb, just drifting? This is your chance to wake up before it's too late. If you're outside right now, or the next time you are, just watch what happens when a woman passes by men sitting at their shops, talking on their phones, or waiting at the red lights. Notice where their eyes go. Notice what they stare at. You'll get the point. And if you're a woman yourself: You'll thank Allah for legislating the Hijab. In this episode of the explanation of الأربعون النسائية (Al-Arbaeen An-Nisaa'iyyah — The Forty Hadiths for Women), Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains the third hadith, where the Prophet ﷺ said something every Muslimah should remember before stepping out of her house. He shows how Shaytan seizes that moment not just to tempt her, but to spread fitnah among men and women alike. Think about what we see on social media every day. Do we realise what doors we open when we put ourselves out there? All those pictures, videos, and posts that stay long after we're gone? This hadith doesn't just mention a ruling. It opens our eyes to the hidden harms, the subtle traps, and the better ways our mothers, wives, sisters, and daughters can protect themselves. Watch till the end to see how our Salaf understood this, and why ignoring it only brings regret in this life, and worse in the next. You think your Iman is safe… that you'll die with it intact, no matter what. But watch how quickly it gets chipped away when doubts come dressed as trends, debates, or posts that sound clever — until your heart's spinning at night, wondering what's true. Your Aqeedah isn't just a label. It's your shield when the world keeps pushing you to blur the lines. And a shield only works if you know what you're holding. Manzoomah Al-Ahsaai isn't just an old poem for scholars to memorise — it's a lifeline. A clear, powerful map of the beliefs every Muslim needs to anchor their heart. In this 5-hour deep dive, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan unpacks each line with proofs from the Qur'an, Sunnah, and the way of the Salaf. You'll see why Tawheed, Qadr, the grave, the scales, and the Day you see Allah — none of it is just theory. It's what keeps your Iman steady when everyone's telling you to loosen your grip. You've got 168 hours for the world's noise this week. Take just five to strengthen what matters more than anything else. Study the kind of Aqeedah that lets you sleep at night when the doubts hit, the debates rage, and your soul whispers: “Where do I stand?” May Allah keep our creed pure and our hearts firm. Watch till the end. Share it with someone who's searching for solid ground right now. And keep building your Aqeedah like the Salaf did — step by step, truth by truth. al-Mugheera Ibn Shu'ba رضي الله عنه (S60) Hujr Ibn Adee رضي الله عنه was a supporter of Imam Ali رضي الله عنه. When Hasan رضي الله عنه gave Baiyah to Muawiya رضي الله عنه, Hujr رضي الله عنه was the first to say to him: “O son of The Messenger! ﷺ. It would've been better if I died before this day! Why did you do this?”. Hasan رضي الله عنه replied: “To prevent bloodshed”. How did the supporters of Hasan رضي الله عنه react to his decision? There was 3 groups; 1). Acceptance and Happiness straight away. This includes Abdullah Ibn Jafar 2). Initially weren't happy, but later accepted. This includes Qais Ibn Sa'ad 3). Weren't happy, yet accepted reluctantly. This has 2 subsections - a). This binding is only until Hasan رضي الله عنه is alive. This included Hujr Ibn Adee رضي الله عنه. and b). This binding is only until Hasan and Muawiya رضي الله عنهم are alive. An aged Mugheera رضي الله عنه knew his time was near. Mugheera رضي الله عنه said that they will not see a governor like himself after his leaving - and true were his words. The Salaf (r.h) said: “After Mugheera رضي الله عنه, we never had a leader like him”. The governor after Mugheera رضي الله عنه was Ziyad Ibn Abee. He governed both Kufa and Busra.

You're doing everything right — attending duroos, watching Islamic videos, filling pages with notes. But deep down… you're not changing. The more you learn, the more disconnected you feel. You thought seeking knowledge would soften your heart. But it's only making your head heavier. You're probably moving fast, but not forward. Why? Because somewhere along the way, we skipped what the Salaf never did. Study the explanation of Kitab al-ʿIlm by Imam Abu Khaythamah Zuhayr ibn Harb (d. 234 AH) — the teacher of five out of the six major hadith collectors. This book gathers over 160 narrations from the Prophet ﷺ, the Companions رضي الله عنهم, and the early scholars — not on fiqh or fatwa, but on how to seek knowledge the right way. It exposes the cracks in our foundations: - Learning without action - Studying without adab - Gaining facts but losing sincerity - Consuming lectures without any transformation If you've been chasing course after course, quoting scholars but ignoring your own tarbiyah — this is your reset. Foundations of Salafi Manhaj Neither Extremism nor Neglect - Shaykh Abu Iyaad - About the author of the book - Shaykh Abdussalaam Burjis - The ways and means deviated sects use to spread their innovations, such as secrecy, pretending to be close to some major scholars, having ta'assub etc.. - First principle - to concern oneself with seeking knowledge - Second Foundation - Having eagerness and zeal to apply this knowledge - Third Foundation - Calling to Allah up on knowledge - Fourth Foundation - To be concerned with the Aqeedah of the Salaf in terms of knowledge, action and teaching it. The remaining principles will be covered in Bradford. Recorded at the Islam is Sunnah Conference in Manchester June 2025
• Started with the virtues of ʿAbdullāh Ibn Masʿūd (رضي الله عنه) • Covered the narration of Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī and Ibn Masʿūd: — “How many people intend good but never reach it” • Highlighted evidence from the Qur'ān and Sunnah showing the completeness of the religion — no need for additions “This day I have perfected for you your religion…” (Sūrah al-Mā'idah 5:3)' • Virtues of the Khulafā' al-Rāshidīn (the four rightly guided caliphs) • Importance of clinging to the understanding of the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥīn • Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr on the verse: — “This is My straight path, so follow it” (al-Anʿām 6:153) • Hadith of the 73 sects and its variations and its different chains - Linked with Ibn Masʿūd's narration: “The Jamāʿah is what conforms with the truth, even if you are alone” • Danger of bid'ah (innovation) and how it is more severe than committing major sins - to the exent that the Prophet ﷺ warned against it even before it appeared. • The importance of Tawheed and the precise wording found in the sunnah and the Quran. Example, Surah Maryam ayah 65 "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, so worship Him (Alone) and be constant and patient in His worship. Do you know of any who is similar to Him?" • How this verse beautifully encompasses all three categories of Tawḥīd: 1. Tawḥīd al-Rubūbiyyah – “Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them…” 2. Tawḥīd al-Ulūhiyyah – “so worship Him (Alone)…” 3. Tawḥīd al-Asmā' wa'l-Ṣifāt – “Do you know of any who is similar to Him?” (denial of likeness to His names or attributes) • Shaykh ʿAbdullāh Lahmāmī (ḥafiẓahullāh) concluded the lesson by mentioning 20 characteristics that distinguish the people of Sunnah from the groups of misguidance.

You've been told Allah hears and sees — but then you're told “Don't take it literally.” You hear about His Names and Attributes — and it's all explained away as metaphor. How did something so clear become so confusing? Because the ʿAqeedah of the Salaf was replaced — by opinions, philosophy, and reinterpreted religion. This poem, Al-Ha'iyyah by Ibn Abi Dawud, brings it all back. Thirty-three lines that defended the truth when people tried to distort it — especially about Allah, His Names and Attributes, and the very foundations of belief. In this session, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains: - The right stance towards the companions رضي الله عنهم — and why it's non-negotiable - The proper affirmation of Allah's Names and Attributes - How the Jahmiyyah and Muʿtazilah were intellectually dismantled - Why the Salafi creed is clear, consistent, and preserved If you're tired of confusion and want to be grounded in what the early generations were upon — this is where you start. We see righteous Muslims praying, fasting, and following the Sunnah — yet when disasters strike, they're not spared. Floods sweep away families. Earthquakes crush entire neighbourhoods. Oppression increases. And even those who stayed obedient to Allah suffer alongside others. Why does Allah's punishment descend on a whole community — even when there are righteous people among them? In this episode of Ad-Daa wa Ad-Dawaa, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan explains Imam Ibn al-Qayyim's deep insight into collective punishment. Backed by Quran, Sunnah, and the words of the Salaf, the lesson explores why staying silent in the face of sin… may cost us all. Watch now. The reason might be closer to your life — and your silence — than you think. “Don't take it literally.” “That would be Tashbeeh.” “Allah doesn't really have a face, hand, or anger — it's metaphorical.” You've heard these claims. Maybe in a lecture. Maybe in online keyboard wars. Maybe in a casual conversation. But are they true? In this session, Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble explains Tawheed al-Asma wa as-Sifat — belief in Allah's Names and Attributes — with structure and proof, just as it was understood by the Salaf of this Ummah. You'll learn: - What it means to affirm Allah's Names and Attributes without denial, distortion, or resemblance - Why the Qur'an and Sunnah speak clearly — and why that's enough for the believer - How deviant groups like the Jahmiyyah, Mu'tazilah, and Ash'aris went astray by placing philosophy over revelation - And how this part of Tawheed shapes your worship, your dua, and your connection to Allah This isn't a side topic. It's the foundation of knowing the One you worship — without compromise. Ask any scholar or student of knowledge—and they'll tell you: some of the most common, urgent questions they get are from women. About menstruation. Purity. Prayer. Hijab. Going out. Marriage. Divorce. But not enough people are teaching it. To address this gap, here begins the explanation of الأربعون النسائية (Al-Arba'een An-Nisaa'iyyah)—a collection of 43 hadith compiled by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Shakir ash-Shareef, each one dealing with rulings specific to women, drawn from the Sunnah and explained upon the understanding of the Salaf. In Episode 1, Ustadh Abdulrahman Hassan breaks down the first hadith of the book—where the Prophet ﷺ says: “Do not prevent your women from the masājid, but their homes are better for them.” - What exactly does this mean today? - Is it really better for women to pray at home—even in Makkah and Madinah? - Can a husband stop his wife from going to the masjid? And when is that allowed? - What conditions did the scholars set for women going out—and are they still being met today? - And what did Aisha رضي الله عنها say that still speaks volumes about modesty and change in society? This isn't just theory. It's the lived fiqh of women—starting here. You try to follow the Qur'an and Sunnah—then you're told you're rigid. You quote the Salaf—then you're labelled a Wahhabi. And why do others accuse you of being extreme—for simply following what the Salaf believed? This lecture tackles these tensions head-on—through the words of early and authentic voices of Ahl al-Hadith. Study the book I'tiqad A'immah al-Hadith by Imam Abu Bakr al-Ismaʿili (d. 371H). With Shaikh Dr. Asim Al-Qaryooti, we explore how the true Imams of the Sunnah understood and lived their creed. The book dismantles many modern doubts and deviations by clearly stating what the Salaf believed regarding: - Allah's Names and Attributes - The authority of authentic Hadith in Aqeedah—even if it's Aahaad - Rejecting blind following when it clashes with the Qur'an and Sunnah - Avoiding philosophy, kalam, and speculative theology, and returning to the clear guidance of revelation - True loyalty to the Imams—by following their principles, not their mistakes This is the creed that stood the test of time. A creed based on the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the understanding of the first three generations. If you've ever struggled with the tension between following the evidence and adopting Taqleed… if you've been told that affirming Allah's Attributes means you're anthropomorphising… or if you want to know what the scholars of Hadith actually believed—this is the session to watch.

Hafsah bint Umar رضي الله عنهم (S4) Our mother رضي الله عنها was taught how to read, write, perform ruqyah and treat ant bites by Layla رضي الله عنها, who was known as ‘as-Shifa' رضي الله عنها. Ali (رضي الله عنه): “Teach yourself, and your families all that is good”. A common misconception is that women should be kept away from an education - the complete opposite to what the Salaf practiced. Hafsah رضي الله عنها narrated 60 Hadith, and was one of our messenger's ﷺ most learned wives. Allah ﷻ Himself praised Hafsah رضي الله عنها for her worship: “She fasts frequently, stands for long at night, she is your wife in Paradise” She رضي الله عنها observed fasting all the way into her old age.
They say the truth is complicated — but Ahlus Sunnah carry it in just a few lines. In a time where creed is debated, diluted, and reshaped by opinions, desires, and philosophy, there is a need to return to where clarity begins: the preserved, untainted Aqeedah of the Salaf. In this lecture, Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble explains Al-Ha'iyyah by Ibn Abi Dawud — a 33-line poem that lays out the core beliefs every Muslim must hold. What do we affirm — and what do we reject — about Allah's Names and Attributes? What are the four levels of Qadr that every Muslim must understand? Why is reviling the Sahabah رضي الله عنهم not just deviation — but a threat to the religion itself? How do innovations (Bid'ah) lead people away from the path of truth? From the uncreated speech of Allah to the status of the companions... From the limits of intellect to the binding force of Ijma'... This is where the line is drawn — and where the truth stands firm. You spent a month in worship—will one day undo it all? Eid is a time of joy, celebration, and gratitude. But not all forms of celebration are the same. Some are rooted in the Sunnah—marked by remembrance, family ties, and takbeer. Others cross boundaries—wrapped in trends, music, and excuses made in the name of “fun.” Can women sing? Are instruments allowed? What kind of joy did the Prophet ﷺ actually permit? In this powerful reminder, Shaikh Dr. Asim Al-Qaryooti explores the spirit of Eid as taught by the Prophet ﷺ and practised by the Salaf—with balance, clarity, and purpose. So what will you do? Hold firmly to the taqwa you built in Ramadan and distance yourself from disobedience— or use isolated scholarly statements, taken out of context, to overlook clear prohibitions from the Qur'an and Sunnah and justify sin in the name of Eid? Before you celebrate, pause and reflect—what will your Eid say about your Ramadan? "Allaah is pleased with them & they're pleased with Him." There has been a lot of blood, sweat & tears that have been put in by the Sahaabah in making that statement come true. Ustadh talks about how lowly the Sahaabah held the dunya in their eyes, what value did they give to it? And was wealth really something glorified by anyone from the Salaf? He then talks about in detail the story of one sahaabi who traveled different countries & went through multiple religions just to find the truth & the religion of At-Tawheed.
