This evening,ย Mitchell Rabinย will be speaking about solutions to the global warming and Climate Change, arguably the most important issues currently facing our species.ย While our species is smitten with more issues than we can even calculate, regarding social, economic and political justice, human trafficking, the global water crisis, the fossil fuel industry, the global food chain contaminated by toxic, if not carcinogenic pesticides. lead and arsenic in water across the U.S. (and the world), violence in the family, violence between nations, multi-national control of (at least) Democracies around the world, religious and economic wars, racism, sexism, ubiquitous trauma of all sorts, the prevalence of deception and propaganda in world politics and economics, the injustice in education, corporate science, and on, if the climate continues to change as it has been, with weather patterns becoming so disrupted, it threatens life on the planet, especially that of the human species.ย ย Last night, we had a beautifully successful 11th Peace & Earth Day Celebration in NYC that enriched all who were present.ย Mitchell was the MC of the evening that Andrew Kaen has been producing all these years.ย All contributors, e.g., Jodi Serota, Rick Ulfik, Kurt Johnson, Ron and Victoria Friedman, Barbara Bizou, Premik Russell Tubbs and Dani Elson, powerfully spoke, sang or sung powerfully which reached the hearts of all, awakening us to the reality of Climate Change as well as the excitement of a new evolutionary movement that breathes hope into our being.ย Thank you to all! This evening Mitchell will hold anย Enlightened Politics Round Tableย with several colleagues to discuss both the election in particular, in addition to looking at what is needed to create a more enlightened Body Politic, voice of and for the People and a much greater integral, integrity-based, refinement of the art of governance. Tonight, Mitchell will be joined by Dr. Ron Friedman, Robert Levine, Rick Ulfik and Kurt Johnson, all members with Mitchell of FIONS, the Friends of the Institue of Noetic Sciences in NYC. We have all been consumed by the political rhetoric of the candidates and the media pundits for whom truth is Trumped by a good jab to the right or leftโฆ jowl. ย It is time to see clearly what it is we're dealing with and then put energy and attention toward creating the kind of compassionate, responsible governance many of us would like to see. ย We need to heal around a deep wound expressed through the obsessive pursuit of power and wealth in this country (and world) and re-create ourselves as balanced, loving, rational human beings committed to a higher view and service to Earth and all sentient life. We'll review the results of the day before, Election Day and the implications for us all regarding the candidate who is elected. ย We'll of course consider third parties as part of the discussion.
