We welcome to the show Steph Young, an independent Researcher & Author with number one Bestsellers in Amazon's Unexplained Mysteries, Ancient & Controversial Knowledge, and the Occult. She is addicted to researching all Paranormal, Supernatural, Esoteric & Enigmatic mysteries. Each book written seems to lead to further questions and searches for answers as the mysteries inevitably deepen & develop into ever more complex riddles in the spectrum of the Unknown. We discuss strange missing persons cases and cases of unusual deaths, both in the woods and in urban areas, and cross over to some of what David Paulides covers in his Missing 411 work. Most of it can be found in her latest book, Something in the Woods is Taking People. You can find Steph at her Facebook page. She also writes as Tessy Rawlins and writes on Angels, Near Death Experiences, and the like. Her darker material is under the name Stephen Young. And this is the Elisa Lam video we talk about... If you've ever felt called to write a book but haven't taken the first step, this episode is for you. K+L share the unfiltered story behind writing their book—the excitement of landing a book deal, the moments they wanted to quit, the creative blocks that surfaced, and what it actually took to bring their vision to life. They open up about the parts of the process most people never see: the self-doubt, perfectionism, pressure, and vulnerability that come with putting your ideas on paper + sharing them with the world. You'll also hear the lessons they learned navigating publishing, building a sustainable writing practice, and finding their authentic voice in a world overflowing with content. We also talk about: Why social media matters in publishing Balancing creativity + business The reality of the editing process Writing routines + accountability Designing a book cover that feels timeless Writing a book takes longer than you think Book marketing + launch strategy Resources: Instagram: @lindseysimcik Instagram: @itskrista Sponsors: Ka'Chava | Go to https://www.kachava.com and use code ALMOST30 for 15% off your first order. Also, Ohren auf und ab in die Welt von "Once Upon A Time In Cinema - Der Filmpodcast" - jeden Sonntag um 10:00 Uhr, überall wo es Podcasts gibt! it is a truth universally acknowledged that there is no such thing as too many Jane Austen adaptations. it seems truly impossible to ever fully know the scope of how many literary adaptations of Pride and Prejudice have been made. there are the ever-predictable steamy retellings that ask the ever-present question “but what if they f*cked???”, retellings exploring the key themes but set in different cultures or countries and of course, novels that amplify the voices of Pride and Prejudices' many rich but silent characters.this month on the show, we're reading eligible by curtis sittenfeld to find out where her adaptation of one of the world's most famous classics lands on the sliding scale of literary retellings and reimaginings.send us your voice messages here

I know you've seen those bestseller badges on Etsy… Or those listings that instantly look like bestsellers. The ones that make you stop scrolling… click immediately… and somehow just feel more expensive, professional, and desirable. Well… there's a reason for that. And honestly? It usually has way less to do with the product itself… and way more to do with the listing image. In today's episode, I'm breaking down what bestselling Etsy listings actually have in common… why your mockups matter WAY more than you think… and how I now create high-converting listing photos in literally minutes… and how you can too. before monsters learned their names, before heroes thought themselves immortal, there was a voice learning to speak. it's time for herstory, not history as we turn to Circe by Madeline Miller - a retelling and reimaging of Circe, the witch of The Odyssey - a story that promises to be absorbing, luminous and spellbinding – a feminist novel, ripe for the #metoo generation. we talk all about Greek mythology, our newly uncovered adoration for Madeline Miller, our previous podcast episode on the highs and lows (but mainly lows) of The Song of Achilles and ask ourselves the question, can the works of Madeline Miller be redeemed by Circe or are we fated to eternal literary woe? send us your voice messages here
Most people think their kitchen is the safest place in their home. The truth is the opposite. The cookware you use every day, the cutting boards you trust, the utensils you stir with, even the coffee maker on your counter, may be quietly leaching forever chemicals, microplastics, and heavy metals into your food and into your brain. In this episode, I sit down with Jordan Nathan, founder and CEO of Caraway, the brand redefining what nontoxic actually means in the modern home. Jordan walks me through the night he called poison control after overheating a Teflon pan, the 2-year journey to launch a cookware line free of PFAS, and why six U.S. states have now banned forever chemicals in cookware. We unpack what PFAS, PFOA, and PTFE actually are, why they accumulate in fat tissue and cross the blood brain barrier, and why scratched pans, plastic cutting boards, and black nylon utensils are some of the most dangerous things in your kitchen. Then we go deep on the science. I break down the Nature Medicine 2025 study showing microplastics in human brain tissue at higher concentrations than the liver or kidney, with the highest accumulation found in dementia brains. We cover the rise of autoimmune disease, the credit card's worth of plastic the average person consumes every week, Caraway's third party testing for over 600 PFAS chemicals, and a full kitchen audit on a $1,000 budget covering induction vs gas, dishwasher dangers, and what's coming next as Caraway expands into the broader nontoxic home. This conversation will completely change how you think about what is in your kitchen, what is in your body, and what you can actually do about it. Step into Episode 207 of On The Delo as Delo sits down with Matt and Brian of Iconic Cocktails to talk about building an Arizona mixer brand over the last decade, from farmers markets and small-batch production to wholesale growth, hospitality partnerships, and a 10-year anniversary worth celebrating. What starts as a fun catch-up turns into a sharp conversation about partnership, product pivots, local sourcing, education-based selling, and what it really takes to keep a niche brand alive and growing in hospitality.Matt and Brian break down how Iconic Cocktails evolved from an idea that once included soup and bar catering into a clean-label mixer company built around Arizona ingredients, strong local relationships, and constant customer education. They talk about building the business without a big machine behind them, producing by hand in small batches, growing through wholesale and hospitality accounts, and staying relevant as more consumers look for flavorful nonalcoholic options and more operators need something unique on their beverage menus. Along the way, Delo gets into their origin story, top-selling flavors like prickly pear and spiced honey, the new Strawberry Sage release for their 10-year anniversary, and the everyday habits that keep both founders grounded while balancing work, growth, and life.Chapter Guide (Timestamps):(0:00 - 4:50) Intro, 10-Year Anniversary, and How Matt and Brian First Connected(4:51 - 8:15) Bringing on a Partner, Early Roles, and Why Working With People You Like Matters(8:16 - 10:50) Devour, Arizona Hospitality Community, and Showing Up in Person(10:51 - 16:10) From “Iconic Soup” to Cocktail Mixers, Education, and Small-Batch Production(16:11 - 19:48) Distribution, Wholesale Growth, and Where to Find Iconic in Arizona(19:49 - 24:48) Beverage Trends, Seasonal Flavors, and the Story Behind Strawberry Sage(24:49 - 28:44) Flights, Best Sellers, 10-Year Milestones, and What Customers Love Most(28:45 - 34:45) Daily Habits, Website Resources, Mat Facts, and Future Book Ideas(34:46 - 42:30) Rapid Fire, Favorite Ingredients, Markets, Events, and Delo's Close
Episode Summary In this Brand Retro Vault Series ("Lost Episode"), Mike Brevik sits down with Steph Silver, founder of VINE Collective, to explore one of the most misunderstood aspects of branding: the experience behind the brand. Steph shares how her unconventional journey, from theater and storytelling to marketing and leadership coaching, shaped her belief that a brand is not just what customers see on the outside, but what happens behind the scenes inside the organization. From how employees are treated to how decisions are made during difficult seasons, every internal choice ultimately shapes the customer experience. Throughout the conversation, Mike and Steph unpack the deeper layers of branding, including the importance of culture alignment, customer empathy, and empowering teams to carry the brand forward. They also discuss why the most successful brands are often built not through rigid control, but through shared passion and purpose that flows through the entire organization. This episode offers a thoughtful reminder that branding is not just about logos, colors, or marketing campaigns, it is about the experience people have with your business, from the inside out. In this episode, Mike welcomes Kevin Anderson, New York Times bestselling editor and founder of Kevin Anderson & Associates, the world's largest and most prestigious book-writing firm, for a candid conversation about growth, delegation, and the hidden power of publishing. Kevin brings decades of experience working behind the scenes with top entrepreneurs, executives, and thought leaders to help them scale their impact through books. Kevin breaks down the most common mistakes entrepreneurs make, including trying to do everything themselves and waiting too long to bring in professional support. He explains why delegation isn't optional for scaling and how letting go of control is often the pivotal shift that unlocks real growth. The conversation then turns to Kevin's unexpected path into ghostwriting, which evolved into a firm that now collaborates on nearly 500 books each year. He pulls back the curtain on how high-level ghostwriting actually works, how collaborative teams preserve an author's voice and credibility, and why books remain unmatched as authority and marketing assets. Mike and Kevin also tackle the role of AI in publishing, exploring why technology hasn't replaced human storytelling, and the risks authors face when they rely on it too heavily. Smart, sharp, and packed with real-world insight, this episode is essential for entrepreneurs, authors, and anyone ready to scale their business with intention. IN THIS EPISODE: ➡️ THE AUTHORITY ADVANTAGE: How publishing a book transforms credibility into long-term influence and opportunity ➡️ HUMAN OVER HYPE: How AI hasn't replaced authentic storytelling or strategic thinking ➡️ BUILT TO LAST: Creating teams, systems, and leadership structures that support expansion without burnout ➡️ SCALING WITH INTENTION: Why delegation—not hustle—is the true catalyst for sustainable business growth
