Hosted by Simone Roach The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't have the best season. In addition to finishing last in the AFC South, drama off the field led to fans staging a “clown out,” by wearing rainbow wigs and painted faces to season finale. Faced with the prospect of being associated with the clown out, Roofclaim.com – one of the team's sponsors – filed a lawsuit against the Jaguars, seeking damages, an injunction to stop the team from using its trademarks, and rescission of the sponsorship agreement. We are super excited for the 2021 ESPN Roofclaim.com Boca Raton Bowl that will be played on December 18 at 11 am EST! As a community captain, local Realtor and long time Boca resident I just love this annual football tradition! Today I have the unique pleasure of interviewing Doug Mosley, Executive Director of "the bowl". Doug is a great friend to the community and today we talk all things college football, the Boca Raton Bowl and even some BBQ (since he is a BBQ aficionado). Hope you join in! Episode 7 first takes a look at how our county continues to make itself a place to grow and/or relocate a business. We begin our conversatrion with Troy McLellan, President & CEO of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. Troy has been at the Chamber for over two decades (14 years as its President & CEO). Lots has changed in south county over the past 24 years but the focus on creating an environment where companies can do business has been the fundamental mission of the Chamber. We are also pleased to have Doug Mosley, Executive Director of the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl join us. Doug pitched the Bowl game to Palm Beach County in 2014 on behalf of ESPN. Since then it has grown in stature and is now a much sought after postseason collegiate contest played on the field Coach Schellenberger built! The Bowl is not just a great football game. It's another opportunity to shine the spotlight on our piece of paradise (especially in December when corporate executives are huddled up by their television).
