Our Atlas Pro™ Plus Diamond contractors are the lifeblood of who we are. Without them — and all of our loyal contractors — and the homeowners who choose to put our products on their homes, we wouldn’t be here. So as we continue to celebrate these ultimate Asphalt Lifers, we chat with Diamond contractors Mike Guy, of Guy Brothers Roofing in the Florida Panhandle and Southwest Alabama, and Michael Woodward, of Mills Roofing in Fredericksburg, VA. Both companies had humble beginnings. Mike and his brother Ronnie started Guy Brothers Roofing in 1971 with $278 and a 1969 Dodge pickup truck. Michael’s grandfather started Mills Roofing in 1976 with a station wagon, hatchet and toolbelt and a ladder with missing rungs that he found in downtown Fredericksburg. During our discussion, Mike and Michael explain how technology has changed the way they do business and why they love installing Atlas products. We tell our contractors and sales reps to stop leading with price and start leading with value. Mike and Michael exemplify this philosophy by building successful companies based on honesty, integrity and dedication. Spring has sprung — and so can your sales! In this episode, Stan and Tiara talk to Sam Taggart, founder of D2D, the No. 1 door-to-door sales consulting company in the country. Sam explains how he started his business when he was 11 years old, selling coupon books door to door. And while some may think door-to-door sales is beneath them, Sam explains how and why this simple sales strategy can generate millions — even billions — of dollars in revenue. In our digital world, where things like work ethic, communication and grit are often a rarity, Sam wants to inspire door-to-door sales professionals to hold their heads high — while also filling their wallets. He also discusses why roofing companies can greatly benefit from a door-to-door sales team.
