Ändå är det som att traumat har gått i arv, från generation till generation. Och Anna känner ett allt större behov av att ta reda på vad som faktiskt hände i Polen 1968. 30 Years HAMdj (NL) 1993-2023 - Part 09 (Victor Gambon - Dark Techno 2016-2023) Like last month we stay in the Techno scene. Always was a big fan of Techno though the years, Early sets of Carl Cox or the Mazzo Mixup cd in the 90's. Still listen to them these days on a regulair basis. But never found the style techno that was the one for me to play. Untill around 2018 i stumbelt on a mix from Remco Beekwilder. This was the style i searched for all those years. So i send the guy a message asking which labels and artists i have to follow for this sound. Never expected an response but the guy is actualy an realy nice guy. He gave me labels, artists. It was great. So the search begon, first thing i noticed that a lot of thes artists released on vinyl also. So i knew it would be an expensive search haha. Now 5 years later i own about 400 techno vinyls of which a little over 200 will be from the years 2012 and on. This mix includeds the artists and labels i become to love the most. Labels like Emerald, Perc Trax, Genosha Basic, Green Fetish Records or ARTS. With the artists like Offcource Remco Beekwilder, Ghost In The Machine, Somniac One, Perc and VTSS. This mix will contain Heavy Beats, some Acid Snears, lots of old Rave influences but most of all some Hard and Dark Kickdrums!! So just give it a go!! Play it out load!! DJ, Producer and Curator of Hidden, Deepak Sharma has been entrenched within techno for over a decade. Tough, raw and gritty describe the man, his music and label. Perseverance is another word synonymous with Deepak Sharma: an unrelenting passion for music and sharing his sound through a belief so intense, his soul pours out and bears itself within each release and DJ set. Known for a cerebral approach to music, he demonstrates his ethos that DJing is about creating a moment, often through taking crowds on a hypnotic journey and building energy, with a room as one towards a higher peak. I play drums and I did a conservatory before starting to play blues / rock / punk with my friends! Then when I went to university, these projects ended, we were all in different cities. I made new friends, all techno fan. I did my first techno nights.... During one, when i was in party in front of "I hate models" at his beginnings, I knew that this was somehow the new essence of punk. So after started with playing with my first little pioneer mixing table and a computer, the Opäk project was born. Virtual Underground : Where do you draw your inspiration from ? Opäk : I find my inspiration in all the music that has nourished me from my childhood to here. From rock to metal, from blues to stoner, from EBM to Techno, from Techno to Acid, from industrial to hardcore. I often define myself as a "Industrial Techno " artist but in the end, I think the richness is to open up my influences as much as possible! if I have to name names that I have listened to a lot I will say The Doors, Rage Against The Machine, Official Motörhead, The Rolling Stones, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson then in techno I Hate Models, RVDE, Gijensu, Ancient Methods, Phase Fatale, Tommy Four Seven, Ansome, Ayarcana, Myler, TWAN and many other artists in the same genre. Virtual Underground : Could you describe your mixing process ? Opäk : For me the role of the DJ is like that of the sculptor, he must shape the atmosphere and take people on his journey. As a story it is important to have a beginning, a middle and a logical end, so the selection is made in such a way as to respect this narrative scheme! Then of course the best is to perceive only slightly the transitions between the tracks and that they bring a new breath to the set. Virtual Underground : Which software/hardware did you use for this set ? Opäk : I used CDJs and a DJM900 and then I equalized the mix on bleachton so that the audio quality and the feeling was pleasant, simply ahaha Virtual Underground : What are your next plans ? Opäk : What I prefer for the moment is the "show and concert" part I like to perform in search of people, their opinions, emotions. This is the area where I am most comfortable and very beautiful dates like the pulse festival, Entente nocturne arrive. I also created my own label: Askorn Records, which I intend to develop, and finally I am working hard to improve and work to release my first EP which should arrive in 2020.

Click here for more techno, art, and upcoming events! - Q/A - 1. Tell us your short story? (how did you meet etc) We were just two individual djs and producers in different musical scenes and we met each other during a party. So we decided to make a track together. The result was pretty different from our past styles but we like that kind of dark and hipnotic music we created. We started a brand new project under the name Rvde around the end of 2012, focused on proper techno music, without forgetting our distinctive background. 2. What kinda benefits do you get from being two when producing and DJing? The main benefits is to have two heads and four ears. During production this is an exciting thing. One of us can start a project with a certain idea, but when the other put his skills and arrangements in it, the result can sounds completely different and better. We have more than a point of view and we have complete control on every detail. Even our sets are positively influenced by being two. We like to djing in a spontaneous way, without planning any tracklist or so. During our set our feelings and tastes can change, and often the music can take advantage by that, sounding more interesting and evolving. 3. How is the scene over there? (What should we come over there to experience) Coming both from other experiences, we find in techno scene a lot of new realities so stimulating. Unfortunately Italy hasn't a real clubbing scene, but there are pretty cool movements. We're seeing that lot of stuff is coming out of Rome, lots of talented djs are noticed even outside italy lately (such as PVS, VSK, Fabrizio Lapiana, the well known Giorgio Gigli or Max_M just to name a few we like and support). But we live near Milano, and in this area there's a more fragmented scene. Many djs and producers (we like to name Emmanuel since he's getting the attention he deserve right now), many organizations, maybe too many events but no a real co-operation between the groups. And that's is a pity for us because other cities like Rome, Naples or the North-east area are working better than Milan nowadays. There are also a lot of "minor scenes", drived by a real passion for the music, who made projects above the average, but who are struggling to get noticed on a larger scale. 4. What is coming up for you guys in 2014? After our debut in 2013 (with a bunch of Ep's and a few remixes we got by Jerome Sydenham, Ricardo Garduno and Mark Broom) we was really happy with the feedback we got. We experimented a lot on sounds, structures, equipments and approach. But in 2014 we started focusing more on OUR RVDE sound. We're working on tons of new track and remix (we have nearly two Ep ready, but we're still looking for a label). Also our remixes for N.D. (Flux) is just been released some days ago on Somewhere Recordings, another one for our friends Empty_Room released by Concepto Hipnotico Records and other remixes have been released in the first months of this year (like the one for Energun on Impeto Rec, and the one for MNMLX on Naughty Pills Rec). Somewhere Rec. also released our latest ep "Hosten" (that features remix by Datch and Andrea Porcu). This Ep and all the latest productions can give you an idea of the sound we're working on. 5. Anything else you want to add? RVDE (ITA) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 61 Pt. 2 Bio: Since their birth Rvde published two Ep's gaining good feedback around and refining their sound in the meantime. First one came from Black Reel and shown the producers skills as well. Then "Hymnes" Ep came out on Intellighenzia Electronica, with remixes by Mr. Jerome Sydenham and one of the label's chief dj M23. After these releases Rvde got lots of contacts all over Europe and America too, sharing the stage with many djs (such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Gary Beck, Mark Broom itself, Brando Lupi and Ben Sims just to name a few) and recording several podcast for well known blogs and radio shows. One year after Intellighenzia Electronica releases the third Ep of the italian duo. "Veslar" Ep contains three original tracks and three remixes. The sound brings to another level different elements such as obsessive drum patterns and cutting edge loop-synth lines, maintaining that deep raw approch and focusing on a modern view of techno. Producers and djs that arranged the remixes of "Veslar" are Mark Broom, Ricardo Garduno and Tommaso Marasma. One of the biggest names around, one of the hottest artist of the moment, and one of the most representative name of the label. Expect different styles in these reworks, from heavy as fuck hypnotic sounds to old school rough drums feeling through dark pads and funky glitchs.
