Crystal Ball Marketing And The Precursor Effect (Klassic Kern)

"Crystal Ball Marketing," a strategy centered on the "Precursor Effect." This concept involves identifying specific indicators or life events that predict exactly when a marketplace is most likely to need and buy a specific service. By targeting customers at these pivotal moments, businesses can significantly increase conversion rates with less sales effort. Key Takeaways The Precursor Effect Defined: Identifying a life event, calendar event, or business shift that occurs immediately before a customer requires your services. The Marathon Analogy: If you sell cold water at the finish line of a marathon, you don't need a clever sales pitch because the "precursor" (running a marathon) has already created an intense, immediate need. Transference: A precursor strategy that works in one industry (like targeting new movers) can often be successfully applied to another unrelated industry. Case Study: The "Moving" Strategy Frank shares a success story from an inner circle member in the professional services industry who helps people in physical pain: The Precursor: Moving into a new home is a physically demanding experience that often leads to physical pain. The Strategy: The client obtained a list of 540 people who had recently moved and sent them a 1.5-page letter offering a free initial service. The Investment: Approximately $1,000 for the list and mailing. The Results: 8 new customers acquired immediately. $2,500 in immediate cash collected. Over $14,000 in projected lifetime customer value (LTV) within the first year. Industry Examples of Precursors Legal Industry: The implementation of GDPR served as a massive precursor for lawyers to sell updated privacy policies. Home Services: Moving into or out of a home is a primary indicator that a homeowner will need maintenance or repair services. Dentistry: Halloween acts as a precursor for cavity checks due to high sugar consumption. Weight Loss: Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas are precursors for weight loss services as people tend to gain weight and seek a "reset" afterward. Action Steps Brainstorm: Spend a few minutes writing down every possible situation or event in a person's life that would make them want your service. Identify: Determine how you can find or "broker" a list of people who have just experienced those specific precursors. Execute: Create a targeted offer for those individuals while the need is at its peak.

Today on Ascend: The Great Books Podcast, Dcn. Harrison Garlick and Dr. Donald Prudlo, the Warren Chair of Catholic Studies at the University of Tulsa, discuss the Ante-Purgatory, the foot of Mount Purgatory (Cantos 1-5).Check out our guide on Dante's Purgatorio (out soon!)Visit Dr. Jason Baxter's website and use "Ascend" in the promo code for 20% off his Purgatorio audiobook. Thanks for the Center for Beauty and Culture at Benedictine College for their support! The conversation with Dr. Prudlo and Deacon Garlick on Cantos 1–5 of Purgatorio opens with the dramatic shift from the despair of Inferno to the hope and refreshment of Purgatory. In Canto 1, Dante and Virgil emerge from Hell onto the shores of Mount Purgatory at Easter dawn, where Dante humbly invokes Calliope, the Muse of epic poetry, signaling his project as “the Christian epic” (Dr. Donald Prudlo). They meet Cato the Younger, a pagan suicide saved by special grace, who embodies the four cardinal virtues and serves as Purgatory's guardian. Prudlo emphasizes the shock: “Cato the pagan, the suicide is going to heaven. And we have got to confront that or we're going to miss so much of what Dante has to tell us here” (Dr. Donald Prudlo). The ritual of washing with dew and girding with the humble reed contrasts the broken plants of the suicides in Hell and symbolizes the beginning of true humility and ascent.Cantos 2–5 introduce the late-repentant souls and the mountain's structure. In Canto 2, an angelic boat ferries souls singing “In exitu Israel de Aegypto,” a psalm of liberation that Prudlo calls “a multifaceted song” evoking Exodus, baptism, and community (Dr. Donald Prudlo). Casella's song of Dante's own poetry enchants the group until Cato rebukes their idleness.Cantos 3–5 explore excommunicated sinners like Manfred (“even under a curse like mine, no one's ever so lost that eternal love cannot come back, as long as hope has any sprouts of green” – Manfred via transcript) and the slothful Belacqua, who banters with Dante like old friends. Prudlo highlights the power of last-minute mercy and intercession: “Mary is the last refuge of sinners” (Dr. Donald Prudlo). The cantos teach that Purgatory is a place of communal hope, where grace reaches even the unlikely, and purification begins with humility, prayer, and rightly ordered love—setting the stage for the active ascent through the terraces.Chapters00:00 Introduction to Dante's Purgatorio04:42 The Importance of Reading Purgatorio08:02 Themes of Emancipation and Freedom10:57 The Role of Cato in Purgatorio13:49 Cato's Significance and Political Implications17:00 Cato as a Precursor to Christ19:51 Dante's Literary Techniques and Inspirations22:56 Contrasting Ulysses and Dante25:36 Cato's Death and Its Symbolism28:52 The Nature of Purgatory and Salvation31:51 Cato's Virtues and Their Relevance34:49 The Relationship Between Cato and Christ37:48 Conclusion and Reflections on Purgatorio50:03 Understanding Cato's Role in Purgatorio52:43 The Heartbreaking Choice of Cato54:39 Rituals and Purification in Purgatory01:00:18 The Arrival at Purgatory01:06:34 The Significance of Water in Salvation01:12:09 Virgil's Role and the Nature of Guidance01:24:57 Manfred: A Case of Late Repentance01:29:38 The Role of Intercessory Prayer in Purgatory01:34:00 Understanding Mount Purgatory and Its Significance01:40:15 The Character of Belacqua and Themes...

On *The Left Hook* podcast, host Mark Bland dissected a seismic political earthquake shaking Donald Trump's second term. In New York City, 34-year-old Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani demolished former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa with a commanding victory—the highest turnout in 50 years, exceeding 2 million ballots—becoming the city's first Muslim, first South Asian, and first African-born mayor, and the youngest in over a century. Mamdani's victory roar, "Donald Trump, turn the volume up!", vowed free childcare, universal buses, and a crackdown on predatory landlords like Trump, framing it as a mandate for working families amid national chaos. Bland hailed it as the opening salvo of a 2026 blue tsunami, amplified by Nancy Pelosi's retirement after 39 years, clearing the path for AOC and Gavin Newsom to lead the resistance. Meanwhile, Trump's tariffs are crushing households with a $1,200 annual tax hike, driving inflation to 3% and core prices higher for apparel and furniture—eggs linger at $5–6 a dozen, gas far from $2. The 46-day government shutdown, ending November 10 after bipartisan Senate passage, gutted SNAP benefits, furloughed feds, and slashed flights 10%—worse than the worst U.S. cancellation day, every day—while Trump refused negotiations. Elon Musk branded Mamdani a "charismatic swindler" on Joe Rogan's podcast, stumbling when pressed for proof—pure projection, Bland declared, after Musk's own chainsaw stunts with Trump. New York's message rings clear: Trumpism is toxic. Bland urged listeners to organize; Impeachment 3.0 is loading.

The Intuitive Pull
The Precursor to a Miracle: Reframing the “Bad Thing”

The Intuitive Pull

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 6, 2025 14:01

When something “bad” happens that you never saw coming, the default human response is blame of self, others, or life itself. In this episode, I invite you to consider a radical reframe: what if the “bad thing” is the precursor to an incoming miracle? Continuing the ongoing conversation about embodying a timeline of Miracle Frequency, we explore how tension is required for growth, why surrender is not bypassing, and how to hold pressure from a grounded seat of responsibility while refusing to let fear have the final say. I share personal stories, powerful examples of grace in action (forgiveness, resilience, leadership), and an invitation to those who feel called to fully embody Miracle Frequency: this path isn't random - you may have been praying for it (even unconsciously). In this episode you'll learn: Why tension and pressure often precede profound transformation How to shift from victimhood to radical responsibility without bypassing your human reality A liberating posture: trusting a bigger orchestration while keeping your feet on the ground What it means to step into a timeline of miracles, not just momentary moments of grace How unreasonable, audacious faith meets practical, day-to-day action Join the work: Miracle Frequency Masterclass (Free, 2 days) — Nov 13 & 14, 11:00–12:15pm AEDT. Chinese money laundering gangs convert cartel dollars into RMB via a triangle system, catering to Chinese nationals who need US dollars outside of China's capital controls. Birenbaum suggests tracking dollars moving within the US and requiring proof of source of wealth for large purchases to disrupt this finance loop.

17 For Herod himself had sent and apprehended John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias the wife of Philip his brother, because he had married her.Ipse enim Herodes misit, ac tenuit Joannem, et vinxit eum in carcere propter Herodiadem uxorem Philippi fratris sui, quia duxerat eam. 18 For John said to Herod: It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother's wife.Dicebat enim Joannes Herodi : Non licet tibi habere uxorem fratris tui. 19 Now Herodias laid snares for him: and was desirous to put him to death, and could not.Herodias autem insidiabatur illi : et volebat occidere eum, nec poterat. 20 For Herod feared John, knowing him to be a just and holy man: and kept him, and when he heard him, did many things: and he heard him willingly.Herodes enim metuebat Joannem, sciens eum virum justum et sanctum : et custodiebat eum, et audito eo multa faciebat, et libenter eum audiebat. 21 And when a convenient day was come, Herod made a supper for his birthday, for the princes, and tribunes, and chief men of Galilee.Et cum dies opportunus accidisset, Herodes natalis sui coenam fecit principibus, et tribunis, et primis Galilaeae : 22 And when the daughter of the same Herodias had come in, and had danced, and pleased Herod, and them that were at table with him, the king said to the damsel: Ask of me what thou wilt, and I will give it thee.cumque introisset filia ipsius Herodiadis, et saltasset, et placuisset Herodi, simulque recumbentibus, rex ait puellae : Pete a me quod vis, et dabo tibi : 23 And he swore to her: Whatsoever thou shalt ask I will give thee, though it be the half of my kingdom.et juravit illi : Quia quidquid petieris dabo tibi, licet dimidium regni mei. 24 Who when she was gone out, said to her mother, What shall I ask? But she said: The head of John the Baptist.Quae cum exisset, dixit matri suae : Quid petam? At illa dixit : Caput Joannis Baptistae. 25 And when she was come in immediately with haste to the king, she asked, saying: I will that forthwith thou give me in a dish, the head of John the Baptist.Cumque introisset statim cum festinatione ad regem, petivit dicens : Volo ut protinus des mihi in disco caput Joannis Baptistae. 26 And the king was struck sad. Yet because of his oath, and because of them that were with him at table, he would not displease her:Et contristatus est rex : propter jusjurandum, et propter simul discumbentes, noluit eam contristare : 27 But sending an executioner, he commanded that his head should be brought in a dish.sed misso speculatore praecepit afferri caput ejus in disco. Et decollavit eum in carcere, 28 And he beheaded him in the prison, and brought his head in a dish: and gave it to the damsel, and the damsel gave it to her mother.et attulit caput ejus in disco : et dedit illud puellae, et puella dedit matri suae. 29 Which his disciples hearing came, and took his body, and laid it in a tomb.Quo audito, discipuli ejus venerunt, et tulerunt corpus ejus : et posuerunt illud in monumento.St John reproached Herod with his unlawful union. The adulterous Herodias and her shameless daughter Salome forced Herod to behead the Precursor. The Gospel of the Mass describes his martyrdom.

Stationed at the 81st Security Police Squadron at RAF Bentwaters in England, Lori experienced her own UFO encounter in February 1980—months before the now-famous Rendlesham Forest Incident in December 1980, which occurred after she had left the base. Unaware of the second event at the time, she wouldn't learn about it until discovering a book on the subject in 1997. Lori's memoir is a unique blend of personal testimony and deep investigation, offering an insider's view of enigmatic military assignments and unexplained phenomena. From dimensional energy shifts to interactions with non-human intelligences, she takes readers on a road map through her experiences at both RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge. As an intuitive and empathetic observer, Lori weaves together personal insights, historical context, and patterns that hint at an ancient, ongoing connection between the land and the mysterious forces that shape our reality. Stress and the Immune System re-run

This week we have re-posting a brief insight to the fact that stress can play havoc on the immune system and we hope to have a new guest soon to discuss this weighty problem.  If you are a member of the health care community and would like to be a guest on our show to discuss how stress affects the immune system, please drop us a line at PodcastDX@yahoo.com.  Remember chronic stress = excessive cortisol and too much cortisol = a host of medical ailments.      Poor sleep  Cortisol levels are supposed to drop at nighttime, allowing your body to relax and recharge. But if your cortisol levels are too high, you might notice that, even if you've been tired all day, you get a second wind right around bedtime. Then you toss and turn all night – and feel tired again the next day.  Over time, high levels of cortisol deplete the adrenal glands and predispose you to chronic fatigue. So if you feel like your get up and go got up and went, you're probably stressed.   You're gaining weight, especially around your abdomen, even when you eat well and exercise.  Cortisol tends to make you thick around the middle, even when you're doing everything “right.”   You catch colds and other infections easily.  Cortisol deactivates your body's natural self-repair mechanisms, which means that your immune system which is perfectly designed by nature to keep you healthy goes caput, leaving you vulnerable to every cootie you encounter.    You crave unhealthy foods.  Cortisol raises your blood sugar, putting you at risk of diabetes. High glucose levels then bump up your insulin levels, which then drop your blood sugar it's a vicious cycle!   You experience backaches and headaches.  When your cortisol levels are high over a long period of time, your adrenal glands start to get depleted. This raises prolactin levels, increasing the body's sensitivity to pain, such as backaches and muscle aches. Excessive cortisol also hypersensitizes the brain to pain, such that even the slightest twinge can excite the nerves of the brain, causing headaches.   Lo-Libido  Consider cortisol the anti-Viagra.  When stress hormones are high, libido-inducing hormones like testosterone drop.   GI Issues.  Your gastrointestinal system is very sensitive to stress hormones like cortisol.  You might experience nausea, heartburn, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, or constipation as a result of too many stress hormones.    Emotional Problems.  Cortisol and epinephrine can lead to jitters, nervous stomach, feelings of panic, even paranoia.  High levels of cortisol suppress production of serotonin, and next thing you know, you're awash in doom and gloom. Chronic High Cortisol=Adrenal Fatigue  When your cortisol levels are bumped up, day after day, your adrenal glands, responsible for the production of cortisol, get worn out. Precursor hormones required for cortisol production get depleted. This could result in full blown adrenal collapse.  (Credits: Dr Lissa Rankin M.D. https://binged.it/3xgOpDc )

In this episode of The Distribution, host Brandon Sedloff sits down with Charles Hudson, Managing Partner and Founder at Precursor Ventures, to explore the challenges and opportunities of pre-seed investing. Charles shares how his early career at In-Q-Tel and Uncork Capital shaped his thesis for launching Precursor—a fund intentionally designed to write small checks to first-time founders before there's traction, product, or even a network. They discuss the philosophy behind backing “strangers with data,” how to identify founders with the resilience and creativity to thrive at the zero-to-one stage, and what's often misunderstood about investing in companies before traditional signals exist. Charles also reflects on why staying small by design is key to Precursor's success and how firm culture, founder psychology, and capital strategy all intertwine in early-stage venture. They also cover: * How product velocity is a leading indicator of startup success * The shift from institutional seed to pre-seed and why timing matters * Red flags and green flags when backing solo vs. co-founding teams * Why domain expertise isn't a requirement—and when it actually matters * Precursor's use of founder assessments and frameworks for diligence * Thoughts on AI, market timing, and where the next generation of breakout companies will emerge This episode is a must-listen for investors, founders, and allocators who want a firsthand look at how conviction, curiosity, and consistency define the earliest stages of venture capital.
