Mikey Taylor, you may know him as a pro skater who is retired but I know Mikey in his new era as an entrepreneur mostly known for co-founding Saint Archer Brewery, COMMUNE Capital, and is a Thousand Oaks Council Member.  I used to watch clips of him back in the day at Nocturnal Skateshop in Philly but now I'm watching clips of him spreading the good word of financial education in my home in NYC. Always stacking clips.  Me and Mikey aren't that different when it comes to teaching something we're interested in such as being financially responsible, getting your money up, and all around growth. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if I'm boring when I try to spread the good word or maybe I'm just into people who didn't go to business school to talk about their experiences with money. Maybe it's the Capricorn in me.  Mikey has gone viral on social media several times with him talking about real estate, debt, and market crashes but when are we going to see him start dancing on main. Father, loving husband, can still do a kickflip. He’s the founder of Ashland Hard Seltzer and Saint Archer Brewery, the massively popular craft beer that was sold to Anheuser-Busch a few years back in a record-breaking exit. He tells the incredible story of starting this company from scratch, having a successful exit just a few years in, where he got the idea, how he grew it so fast, and how he leans into his superpowers.   Question Highlights:   How did you end up in the alcohol world? What did it feel like to exit your business? How did you learn to be content with yourself? How do you go about raising capital? What comes up next?     Guest Bio: Josh started his career telling stories from behind the lens – filming, directing, writing, and producing films and documentaries featuring some of the world's top surfers, snowboards, and skateboards. The passion for bringing his athlete friends’ stories to life led him to create Saint Archer Brewing Co. and later Harland Brewing Co. Mikey Taylor was a pro skater as he was sponsored by DC Shoe Co, GoPro Cameras, and Alien Workshop while touring the world. He is currently the president of Commune Capital and was a Co-founder of Saint Archer Brewery. Before his heyday, Mikey wasn't always the best skater when he started out. Out of the very small group of skaters he was in, he considered himself the worst. Practicing everyday for over a decade, Mikey Taylor eventually ended going pro.Now how does a pro-athlete go from skating on a professional level to making a company that sold for 7 figures? Mikey Taylor and his partner thought of the idea of creating an alcohol beverage company, Saint Archer Brewery, and promoting it themselves with their personal brands. They didn't know anything about creating a business plan or having an exit strategy, and the beauty of this story is that they took initiative with their idea and executed. Just because they had no previous business experience did not mean that their idea wasn't possible. If you guys want to check out Mikey Taylor, you can find him here:InstagramTik TokTwitterYoutubeFacebookCheck out Get The Bag Life and Hit us up!InstagramTik TokLinkedInTwitterFacebookBlogPinterest
