Podcasting's own Daffy and Porky, Dan Barrett and Simon Foster, have a lot to say about the new Looney Tunes full-length feature film, THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP. They pivot into some equally lively debate about AppleTV's Hollywood satire THE STUDIO, starring Seth Rogen. PLUS Richard Gere and Uma Thurman star in director Paul Schrader's moving drama, OH, CANADA!; bald bad-guy basher Jason Statham is up to his increasingly old tricks in A WORKING MAN; and, we join the chorus of admiration surrounding the Netflix hit, ADOLESCENCE. Enjoy!

Join us this week for Simon Foster's review of Netflix's surprise hit Rebel Ridge. Also, Dan Barrett takes a look at TV documentaries about TV shows with After Baywatch and Wise Guy: David Chase and The Sopranos. He calls one of them 'honest'. Which one, you'll never guess. But the very fact this is a question suggests you will probably guess. And even if you are simple and can't, there's a 50/50 chance. NOTE: It is bad marketing to call one's listeners 'simple.' Dan should know better than to have written that.
After years of going on about how the Apple Vision Pro signals the future of TV and movie watching, Dan and Simon both did a demo this week. What is the verdict? Was Dan suitably impressed? Taiwan is a country? - is it..? Okay, let's start again… Taiwan is a territory that traditionally has way less people traveling it than should do so. Sitting off the east coast of China, there are few spots hotter geopolitically that Taiwan. But what's there? Are the people the same as those from mainland China? What's the terrain like? Is it safe? Friendly? Food decent? Well, you can say ‘yes' to all of those things but today we're not only going to touch on Taiwan as a travel destination for the second time on this show, but focus on cycle its east coast. So, pour yourself a cup of Oolong tea, steam some dumplings and let's dream of what was once known as Fermosa.

It's a monster week for reviews this week with one especially huge Marvel movie at the cinema and some very big titles debuting on TV. Just two notes for this episode that I (co-host Dan Barrett) think are hugely worth making mention of: 1. We review both the TV show Slip and the movie Beau is Afraid. Both involve Zoe Lister Jones and somehow Dan neglects to mention this fact during the podcast. What a fool. 2. The review for Beau Is Afraid does involve some minor-ish spoilers. So, keep that in mind. The film is a few weeks into release, so if it sounds interesting, perhaps go see it pretty soon. This week Dan and Simon review: Bupkis (Peacock in the US, Binge in Australia) Guardians of The Galaxy vol 3 (In cinemas now) Silo (Apple TV+) Olga (In cinemas now) Slip (Roku Channel in the US, Binge on Australia) Beau Is Afraid (In cinemas now) Dan and Simon (that'd be co-host Simon Foster) also discuss the WGA strike - what do the writers want and how will the strike impact what we see?

Once Simon Foster noticed the disconnect, he couldn't un-see it: traditional, survey-based experience management strategies are broken. They aren't compelling or engaging, they barely convert, and they don't get to the heart of customers' issues. He perceived a huge amount of friction between brands and their fans – so he forged his own path and founded Chatter. Instead of flooding retailers with low-value data, Foster set out to build a system that would empower them to take action. This is his story.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
