What's the Frequency, Kenneth? In this episode, we gather for a post-Christmas, post-New Year pastoral debrief. We talk about symbols and meaning, Christmas and holidays, signs and seasons, and how modern churches quietly cleared the path for culture to push Christ out of Christmas without much resistance. We explore the strange and largely arbitrary ways the world measures time, along with the old Adam's never-ending pyramid project. That is, his need to build meaning upward by effort, progress, and control rather than receive it as a gift. From there, we return to symbol and meaning. We ask why ancient liturgy's nostalgia or ornamentation, but the distilled shape of reality itself, why the Lord's Supper isn't a side practice, but the beating heart of the Church, of worship, and of the Christian life. And why stories' decorations for faith, but the way truth takes on flesh and finds us where we actually live. This is a conversation about time, worship, memory, and why the Church invents meaning but receives it again and again at the table. A Pittsburgh storm sets the scene as Melissa and Kelly deal with WiFi issues while Jill happily declares Christmas officially over—at least until next year. The moms are exhausted but full of stories as they recap everything they did post-Christmas, from gift returns and holiday cleanup to the big question: when is it actually acceptable to take the tree down? They share their love for seeing The Nutcracker and why New York City at Christmas will always have their hearts. Then, the conversation turns to Dance Moms behind-the-scenes truths—who really came up with the routines, how much input producers had, and how many dances were reused from before the show even began.Join us on Patreon for video and even more exclusive content: https://www.patreon.com/c/deardancemomHave a question for the moms? This episode is a quiet audit of Christmas, fatherhood, and attention. After two uninterrupted weeks with his children, Marvyn reflects on what it feels like when family life fully aligns — no school runs, no fragmented schedules, no performance. Just presence. The result wasn't productivity or achievement. It was peace. The episode moves through gift-giving without panic, buying throughout the year, shifting from material presents to experiences, and what it means to fund joy without excess. It explores how children thrive when safety is consistent, how traditions are built deliberately, and why Christmas Eve now belongs to the house — not the shops. There are reflections on idleness, masculinity, hobbies, strength, and the discomfort of having nothing urgent to fix. Golf enters the picture. So does grief, gratitude, and the reality that joy and loss often sit side by side at the end of a year. This is not advice. It's a lived reflection on slowing down, protecting what matters, and carrying the right things forward. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In this explosive 3-hour Monday episode, Clay Edwards returns from the holiday break to dive into the harsh realities of Democrat-run cities. He breaks down the shocking murder and mayhem in Jackson, MS over Christmas week – including multiple homicides, shootings, a burned body in a vehicle, and the grim discovery of an elderly woman buried in her backyard. Clay analyzes the city's 2025 homicide count (currently at 74), compares it to the deadly spike under former mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, and predicts where the year-end total will land. The show also celebrates independent journalism as Clay highlights Nick Shirley's viral investigation into massive Somali daycare fraud in Minnesota – exposing how simple questions revealed tens of millions in taxpayer dollars vanishing with virtually no accountability. Additional segments cover rising workplace frustrations with Gen Z employees, the DK Metcalf fan assault controversy, and a candid look at cultural and political divides in America. Unfiltered, no-holds-barred talk as always – strap in for hard-hitting commentary on crime, corruption, and the issues mainstream media ignores. The Kings come out of Christmas by getting a terrific win over the Mavericks in the G1C. They forced a ton of turnovers from the Mavs and shot the lights out from 3 to spoil Cooper Flagg's debut in Sacramento. It wasn't as rosy the next night when they traveled down to LA to face the Lakers as the Kings got the turnover bug and mightily struggled to defend the Lakers on route to a decisive loss against the purple and gold. The Kings will stay in LA to face the Clippers next before the year turns 2026.Owen and Fong also have a little bit of fun discussing the Fallout TV show as the new season is out and Owen has had a chance to catch up and share his thoughts on the show so far.Use code SKT15 on checkout to get 15% off from HYVDesigns on Etsy during checkout or use this link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/hyvdesigns/?etsrc=sdt&coupon=SKT15Intro Music by Blue Dot Sessions. https://www.sessions.blueIf you want to email us: kingtherapypod@gmail.com

Standout Moments & Timestamps [00:02:15] The 2026 Forecast Kevin discusses why the upcoming midterm elections will be "a biggin," focusing on the race to unseat Tim Walz and the importance of holding the House to avoid nonstop investigations. Oh, hey. Hi. Have a good Christmas? Me too. Got up early, stayed up late, right? So I'm here with a whole bunch of coffee drinks to get going this morning! I didn't know what to do for a relaxed post-Christmas episode, and then I remembered this interview with John Mleziva of State Line Distillery. They make a great coffee liqueur, and we talked about that. I knew we'd be just sitting around drinking coffee on that morning after Christmas, so I made that into an episode. Then I told you more about the press trip to Mexico I took back in 2011 to see how Kahlua is made, with all the feels, and all the delicioso, and the extra-special cocktail we learned how to make. And the donkey herb moonshine we had. Yeah, not a typo. Was that Kahlua cocktail What I'm Drinking Today? Oh, honey... I drank two cups of coffee (after my usual two mugs earlier) while I was taping the show, a La Colombe Triple Latte, and four different coffee liqueurs. My heart rate is a bit elevated right now. The Smack Dab In The Centre segment: yeah, more coffee; the three great coffee roasters in Centre County. And then a handful of other things, like the nice gift I got from the Pittsburgh Whiskey Friends, and one last holiday book plug, and a possible new New Year's Eve tradition, and a little bit of classical music appreciation. Next episode is an interview with Dad's Hat distiller Herman Mihalich! See you next year, in 13 days! Happy New Year! Until then? TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT THE PODCAST! We didn't think it was possible to get worse than last weekend...Matt Davies-Adams, Simon Johnson and Luke Bosher are back to run the rule over the shambolic 3-0 Premier League defeat at Brighton on Friday night.Sounding like a broken record comes to mind, but we try and get to the bottom of the complete lack of intensity or fight displayed by the side, the lack of leadership and quality on display - and why despite all this the ownership group still maintain their faith in Enzo Maresca and the project they've undertaken at Stamford Bridge. If we've said it once we'll say it a million times - thank goodness for the women's team! They left it late but Lauren James' stunning 93rd minute strike saw Chelsea come from behind to beat Everton 2-1 and further cement their domination in the WSL table. We'll be back on Thursday to look ahead to Saturday evening's slightly daunting trip to Villa Park.HOST: Matt Davies-AdamsWITH: Luke Bosher and Simon JohnsonPRODUCER: Lucy Oliva Hosted on Acast. Sounding like a broken record comes to mind, but we try and get to the bottom of the complete lack of intensity or fight displayed by the side, the lack of leadership and quality on display - and why despite all this the ownership group still maintain their faith in Enzo Maresca and the project they've undertaken at Stamford Bridge. If we've said it once we'll say it a million times - thank goodness for the women's team! They left it late but Lauren James' stunning 93rd minute strike saw Chelsea come from behind to beat Everton 2-1 and further cement their domination in the WSL table. We'll be back on Thursday to look ahead to Saturday evening's slightly daunting trip to Villa Park.
